Who is actually most likely to die in BTSV?

Yep, yikes I’m going there. Again all theories so I’m open to conversation/opinions on this!

Jessica - She’s not gonna die. There’s no way. Spiderverse is known for breaking boundaries but they aren’t going to kill a pregnant woman.

Miles - Again spiderverse is known for breaking boundaries so killing a protagonist is not outside of their range but I do not think they can kill Miles because of how integral he is to the trilogy and general synergy with comics and video games. Miles is too important of a character outside of this film in a monetary and societal way for them to kill him off in my opinion. He is the character that people associate with ‘Anyone can wear the mask’

Peter B. - The man has a baby. They aren’t gonna kill him. It just isn’t gonna happen. Nor will they kill said baby.

Hobie - They won’t do it. I love him but I don’t think his death would be enough of a catalyst or whatever. Like I just can’t see it. Not to say he isn’t important to the story but with the role he takes on, his death wouldn’t make sense.

Ben Reilly - I’m not even sure he’s currently alive lol. Gwen broke his watch and then tossed him into a random ass dimension. He’s probably fine… He’s fine.

Noir - unlikely. It wouldn’t have the emotional impact a death would need in the next movie. If, for whatever reason, multiple members of the team die then I could see it, but just him? No.(either way bro’s been resurrected multiple times in the comics, he’s fine.)

Ham - ok I could see it, but only in the comedy angel wings ‘death’ way. Like it wouldn’t be real, it’d be a gag.

Peni - ugh I can kinda see this ngl. She was the only member of team B we saw in the society and had a speaking role. Maybe I’m jaded but doesn’t bode well for a young female character… she will most likely be fine though.

Pavitr - People have said it and I do understand it. I don’t think they’ll do it but I could see it happening in a couple of different ways. His death would have be a perfect mid-late movie catalyst simply because of the parallels between him and Miles, ‘being spiderman is easy!’, and inspector Singh and Gayatri ‘escaping’ death. Will be crying in the theatre.

The Spot - I’m 50/50 on this. Like he could totally be too far gone where the only way out is him imploding but also he just wanted attention 😢

Gwen - God I can see this happening. I really hope it doesn’t but,,, Specifically, her saving Miles or one of his parents and that somehow being it for her. Her home storyline is tied up, her only remaining loose thread is with Miles, and once that’s done her ‘arc’ is over, and also the foreshadowing. Like if it happens that’s how it’s gonna happen and it’ll parallel when Miles was saving inspector Singh and that moment where we can’t see him god,,,,,,

Miguel - I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I don’t know what they are going to do with this man by the end of the next movie. Dude has put his whole being into his canon events theory, cause remember he genuinely believes or is in heavy denial about this. I don’t think being visually proven wrong will fix anything for him. I genuinely believe it’ll destroy him. I could definitely see him dying in the next movie by saving Miles/his dad in some desperate attempt to do the right thing, or taking down the spot with him type thing.

Jeff - Look, we all know it’s a possibility. It’s like algorithmically predestined, so it definitely could happen and I wouldn’t be surprised necessarily. But do I actually think it will happen? No. It’s too built up, especially with Miles going to 42 where his dad IS dead.

Rio - I’m gonna be so honest, she’s more likely to die than Jeff. SORRY! She’s the one that dies in the comics, she’s the one alive in 42, and she has that big speech about Miles not being with her any more and to look out for himself for her. I really hope they don’t do it, I really hope cause I will sob in the theatre but if one of Mile’s parents is going to die, it’ll be Rio.

the thing about taking advice from anyone on tiktok or instagram including catholic and christian type influencers, parenting advice, relationship advice, etc, or internalizing any stories of horrible relationships and betrayal people tell on those platforms, or reading about all the ways interpersonal relationships can end horribly and be cycled through extremely quickly on those platforms is that you are necessarily then consuming the thoughts and experiences of someone who is willing to put their face and name on a public social media platform to talk at you. and like 1% of those people have a good reason for doing so and the other 99% are completely unhinged. so everything you’re consuming has first gone through the filter of "is this person weird and insane enough to make Instagram reels of themselves crying?" and if the answer is yes maybe their advice doesn’t apply to your life because you’re a normal person who would not do that.

Remember when this video came out there were people who heard the voice at the end and thought the voice was either Sammy or the Ink Demon? Man, those were the days. However with all due respect, I'm glad neither case was right in the end lol.

On this day 5 years ago, "Unknown - April 14th" was posted on YouTube, which means it's been 5 damn years since we first heard from Wilson...

It's interesting to think that even though it's been 5 years, we've only known who Wilson really is for 2 years now (or more appropriately, 1 year and 5 months of those 5 years). Of course, now, after BATDR was released, we know who he is and what his place is in the Bendy universe. But between April 1, 2019 and November 1, 2022, all we knew about him was that he…existed. He was someone - someone bad apparently - who sounded old and who would have some relevance in the plot of Dark Revival. And that's it. We had no name, no appearance, nothing. He was someone, but we didn't know who.

It's no wonder he was only referred to as "Unknown" by fans during these 3 and a half years.

In the end, I would say that this drawing is a mix of 2 things. The first being the result of an idea I've had for a while, which is basically making a drawing in relation to the original video/"unknown" tape, but this time with Wilson, since now we know it was recorded by him. Plus it's been 5 years since the original upload,5 years of Wilson. I think this would be the perfect time to do this.

And second, a strange kind of redux/homage/"final chapter" in this kind of "collection" of drawings I did between 2019 and 2022 all based on the idea of "the unknown weirdo from BATDR saying How Very Interesting Such Knowledge" and so on. All of them having other characters in mind in the role of the Unknown. And now, here I am, redoing this idea again, only with The Man Himself this time. The real Unknown. Now as the Known, so to speak.

Going back to what I said before, you can see this drawing as a kind of farewell to this particular idea that I've kind of repeated over the years, as I've now done it again only with Wilson this time. (Does this mean I'll never draw this concept/line of thought again? I mean, I assume so. But there's no guarantee I can't make something similar again down the line. Who knows what the future holds. We will see what happens in the next 5 years.)

But,yeah. 5 years of Such Knowledge™.

Volo canonically suffers from what we in the occult world like to call "the arrogant phase".

For those that aren't aware, "the arrogant phase", or "wizard arrogance", (I've seen some witches even call this "the crazy phase", which is pretty on the nose for Volo's character) is a phase that occurs in some practitioners at some point in their studies.

What it is essentially is a phase where you become arrogant in your own occult studies, believing you have "secret knowledge" or believe you know something that most people don't, deeming yourself as an authority figure or better than the common folk. Because you have learned something that isn't commonly known to the masses, you believe you know the "truth" or "secrets to the universe".

Volo 100% has this. As the lone character who is aware of Arceus as a deity pokemon aside from Cogita and the player character, and the one who has dedicated what I assume to be MANY years researching myths, it is very much evident in his character that he believes he's an "expert" in such things relating to Arceus.

I'm sure there's other examples I'm forgetting, but these are some good points that demonstrate exactly this arrogance I mean. It's pretty much canon that Volo believes himself to be the rightful heir/usurper to Arceus' throne, and the fact that because of his dedication to his research he believes he DESERVES that right. Not you. After all, how much do you really know about Arceus aside from being sent here by them? Do you even know? Do you even know as much as he does? Of course he believes he deserves that right over you.

Going insane rn remembering how amazing Karmaland 5 was. I'm rewatching old clips and animations and rereading my old notes and analysis and I'm like dang. I'm so glad I was able to experience this live.

It does make me think a lot about preservation and streaming as a medium for storytelling though. When it comes to servers with multiple people, inevitably there will be POVs you don't see and stories you miss out on (especially if things aren't archived or deleted). You'll never get the full picture unless you see every single thing from every possible angle. A single line from a POV you don't watch could change your entire outlook on a character -- it could change the entire story itself. As someone who's committed to knowing every single thing about a story, it's extremely frustrating, but at the same time, it's such a fascinating way to tell a story. I do wish it was a little easier to re-experience these stories though because streams take so much more time to consume, and even if VODs are edited down, sometimes things are lost and those single story-changing lines are left out solely because an editor might not deem them "important" to the narrative as a whole.

I dunno man. As a writer and a story-enjoyer, it gives me a lot to think about.

Seeing some posts going around, I really can't believe people still think Crosshair chose to leave Clone Force 99 all along when it was obvious he wanted to be reunited with them one way or another. He had every intention of reuniting and he only chose to stay behind after they'd treated him questionably throughout episodes 15 and 16.

He made the choice up until the end, guys, and it's evident. Yes, he did want to stay with the Empire (if his chip has truly been removed but you all know I particularly call bullpoop on that) but he wanted his brothers there with him.

And you really can't blame him for not going rogue and searching for his family in a literal galaxy, risking everything when it would just be him, when the second he left he'd be hunted and wouldn't stand a chance, when he's a commander of an elite imperial squadron of soldiers and he's being watched by Rampart as if the latter was some sort of creep hawk. There was no easy way for him to leave just as there was no easy way for CF 99 to approach him on their behalf.

I mean, if the impossible were planned, who had more chances of survival? A squadron of three enhanced clones and a former arc trooper, capable of more than literal armies when it comes to battle, who could definitely plan ahead and strategize?

Or one man who, despite being a fine soldier, has one very specific skillset and is at a major physical and tactical disadvantage?

Everyone claims: TBB would have walked into their graves if they went for Crosshair - true. I completely agree.

Crosshair would have walked into his own grave if he chose to defect as well. If TBB were at a disadvantage, Crosshair was at a bigger one.

Of course, this didn't matter in Ryloth, right? Planning and strategizing to get prisoners out of the capitol bursting with Imperials, that's cool. Doing the same for Crosshair? no sir that's where we draw the line

You guys know I spend a big chunk of my time on here advocating for both sides and saying both sides are at fault but the Crosshair slander / CF 99 apologism is getting so old.

I'm going to phrase it plain and simply:

They left Crosshair behind three times (Kamino, Bracca, and Ryloth) before he chose to part from them.

Three times that are really clear in the animation.

Up until then, Crosshair's effort was dedicated to reuniting with them (no, not to hurt them - he not only states it himself he never tried to hurt or kill them but he also makes it clear when he misses his shots and stalls for time when they do meet).

"But the bad batch couldn't get him back either!" I know. I know, believe me, I understand. I'm not turning the argument onto them: like I said, both sides are at fault here. But if Crosshair could do all he did in the season, protect them in his own way, and still be reduced to "he left them," then we can surely acknowledge that, intentional or not, Clone Force 99 did leave Crosshair behind on multiple occasions.

Whether they could or they couldn't, they did that.

Three times before Crosshair chose not to go with them anymore.

Believe me, look at it from Crosshair's perspective. Picture your family treating you like sh*t after you've spent a long time away from them and deep down all you've wanted is to return to them. Major disappointment, wouldn't recommend it. I wouldn't have returned either if I was in Crosshair's position.

#this is not an insult to hbg at least not yet (<- don't know if his video is good yet or not i haven't watched it) #but i was thinking how normally id run away from this type of runtime but he and dan olson are like #the only creators who have ever justified making a video over 3 hours before by not letting it lose structure or purpose #and how most of the other people trying to make videos that long are usually. very bad at it and the videos suck #but fans and the algorithm have decided that long = better by default so we are never escaping and that trend will only get worse i think #but you can't complain about it without literally thousands of replies and reblogs trying to fight you #and its like?? people don't have to like the same youtube videos you do why are you running to defend them so hard #just watch what you want to watch and let the rest of us complain about wanting something more substantial. #its a nonissue from your perspective anyway bc again the trends are in your favor. and us haters are losing. so who give a shit. #avpost #personally I've said it before and it remains to be true that the ideal length for 99% of creators is like. 40-90 minutes #long enough to really dig into a subject but not so long that you just ramble pointlessly for the sake of making a Spectacle of ur runtime
