So, I started to fill this Ask three times, with three different scenarios, until I was able to finish this one. Not sure if I even like how it turned out, for it doesn't have the charm or ease I was hoping for. Still, at least it's written! Oh, and though you asked for one of my OFC's, I ended up using the same Sorceress that appears in my No Defense for the Heart series. Well this was not the way you'd planned to tell Stephen your life altering news. He had only arrived home from his latest mission with the Defenders twenty minutes ago, and you had hoped to allow him a while to acclimate to normal Sanctum life. Take a shower, see to any dings he may have suffered in whatever battle he'd endured, then sit down to one of his favorite home cooked meals (you'd learned once you'd moved to Bleecker Street, the necessity for a stasis spell; as Sorcerer Supreme and leader of the Defenders, his schedule was far too unpredictable to plan meals--so that you always had a couple set in stasis for when he had actual time to sit down and enjoy one). But all had been upended when you broke from his arms as you greeted him home, to rush to the bathroom before you lost your lunch all over him.

Stephen rapped firmly on the door again, his voice calm but clearly anxious. "You okay in there, honey?" You sat on the edge of the tub, breathing deeply while trying to calm the roiling in your tummy, not sure how to answer just yet. "Can I come in, baby? Maybe there's something I can do to help..."

You cleared your throat, then stood up on shaking legs. "Um...I'm alright..." You gave a quiet belch, hoping he didn't catch that. "Just give me a couple minutes and I'll be right out."

"Alright, Y/N...if you say so." Your heart gladdened at the concern and healthy skepticism in his reply. "But I'm not going anywhere until I can see for myself that you're okay."

"Yes, of course." You tried to sound lighthearted as you stepped to the bathroom sink and slathered paste on your toothbrush. "I just need to make myself presentable, darling." Plunging the brush in your mouth, you began to scrub your teeth and gums with the dedication of a newly minted dental hygienist. Once done, you splashed your face with water, noting how pale your cheeks appeared. Can't be helped, you thought, but maybe he won't notice. Following up with a double rinse of mint mouthwash, gargling each time. Hoping it would be enough to allay any suspicions Stephen might have that you weren't merely sick.

Taking one last look in the mirror, you fluffed your fingers through your hair and gave your cheeks a quick pinch to try a raise some healthier looking color. It would simply have to do. Composing your face to reflect a serenity that eluded you at the moment, you opened the door. The relief on Stephen's face at the sight of you made you smile sincerely.

"What happened, honey?"

You took his hand, leading him to the divan at the foot of the bed. "Nothing much, darling. I've just been...um...a little under the weather the past few days..."

His reaction was immediate; seeing that you were seated first, he laid a palm across your forehead. "Have you been feverish? Wong tells me there's a nasty bug running its course through Kamar-Taj - did you visit there while I was gone?"

"No...no," you assured him gently while urging him to sit, "Not since we were there together the week before last."

"Good," Stephen nodded, "Though you look really pale. Do you think it was something you ate? I know a charm that can help with that..."

"Yeah...no, I'm pretty sure it wasn't." You lowered you eyes, suddenly shy that the moment had come, and come so abruptly. Sensing your reticence, Stephen traced a finger along your jawline, stirring you to shiver, so that he immediately pulled you into his arms. You murmured against his neck, "And it may be a while until I'm gonna feel back to my old self..."

You felt him stiffen a little, his apprehension piqued by your cryptic reply. "Wait...is it something serious? Something requiring traditional medicine?" You realized you'd tripped Stephen's fierce protective instinct - something you had come to adore about him, especially when he directed it at you. "I knew the best doctors in every field in my days at Metropolitan General," he went on, a grim edge to his voice, "More than a few of them owe me favors..."

You shook your head against him, smiling despite how serious he'd become. "Darling, now as always, you're the only doctor I need." Moving enough to face him, running your fingertips across his furrowed brow, you added, "And you're the best medicine a woman... this woman...could ever hope for." Sighing hard, you twined the fingers of your left hand through his right, the diamond of your engagement ring softly glinting. "It's only that I've muddled up the order that we planned for ourselves...if...if you know what I mean..."

Now Stephen looked perplexed, for though you thought he had clues enough to reach the proper conclusion, this was one of those times when the answer was staring him in the face, but his prodigious mind failed to grasp the simplest of realities. "You know, the long-term plan. Engagement. Move in together. Tie the, uh...knot. And then, when the time is right..."

His eyes went wide as saucers while he gasped his surprise. "Start...start our family..." Stephen sputtered, "...when the time is finally right..."

"Uh-huh," you shrugged, feeling both sheepish and contrite, " I got a little ahead of schedule..."

"Oh, my baby doll," he grinned, "My sweet, sweet girl!" Barely leaving you a moment to draw breath, Stephen pulled you to him, planting his lips on yours, murmuring your name as he kissed then kissed and kissed you. Dazed and dazzled as you drew away, you had only a second to memorize his euphoric expression before he pulled your face to his again, for a deeper, more enduring kiss - which was all the assurance you needed to know that even the best laid plans of the most formidable Master of the Mystic Arts could be happily laid waste for sake of the woman who had laid her gentle, loving claim upon his heart.

Pairing: Stephen Strange x Gn!Reader

Words: 617; super short I know, but at least I managed to write something lol

After everyone had disappeared from the sanctum grounds for the evening, you and Stephen walked side by side through the training area.

"This group seems promising" you noted as you thought back on the group you had been helping him train.

Stephen hummed "Yes, but they still have a long way to go."

"You say that every time"

"That's because it's true every time" he said as he smiled at you.

"You said that about me too, and then I helped save the world, and your life two weeks later."

He rolled his eyes but laughed "You are a rare exception." he added, his tone a bit softer, making your heart thump.

You smiled as you headed up onto a platform "A rare exception? That's a rare compliment from thee Stephen Strange."

Stephen watched as you picked up a training dummy and set it aside, his eyes gazed over you fondly.

"Why do you think I now allow you to teach alongside me? You're one of the best here."

You smiled down at him "And here I thought it was because you and Wong bicker when you train it together"

Stephen smiled, "That too"

Walking over to the ledge of the platform, you prepared to jump down but Stephen stepped forward and reached out his hand for you to take.

You were caught off guard by the action, but brushed away the warmth in your chest as you placed your hand in his. Leaping down he kept you steady as you laded on the pavement below.

Stephen continued to walk and you expected his hand to slip from yours, but instead, he only entertwined his fingers with yours as he walked along side you.

You looked down at your intertwined hands before looking back at him. His face was turned away from you, as he seemed to avoid your gaze, and instead eyed some training targets.

Your stomach flipped as you repressed a smile, noting how warm your face felt.

You and Stephen had been dancing around your obvious feelings for one another for what seemed like ages. You both knew how you felt, but you were both hesitant to start anything. Your lives were dangerous, was it worth the risk?

But now, as his hand gripped yours it seemed as though he had made that decision for the both of you.

As you headed back towards the sanctum, you allowed yourself to softly squeeze his hand. A subtle way of telling him you wanted it too. You saw his smile widen a bit from the corner of your eye as he squeezed your hand in return.

Heading into the Sanctum, he did not remove his hand from yours, even as others walked past, obviously noticing. You saw the looks on their faceas as they smiled as they passed. Most of them thinking it was about time something happened with you two.

Finally stopping, Stephen turned towards you and looked down at your hands before he cleared his throat softly. He gently caressed your hand with his thumb before he met your eyes, a soft smile ghosting his lips.

"Would you like to go get dinner?"

Stephen was still uncertain of how to word his feelings, uncertain of how to tell you just how much he wanted to be with you. but the fact that you allowed him this gentle form of affection told him you knew he was trying.

You nodded with a smile "Yes."

He smiled in return as you both continued down the sanctum halls, hands still linked, as you walked a bit closer than before. It may not be perfect yet, but it was a step forward, and a promising one at that.

DEFENDER BACKSTORY AT LAST!!

Finally came up with a backstory for Defender for my re-write! Very very little of this is actually mentioned, and even less of it actually significant to the plot, but I do like to have it there anywho. Feedback, question and all similar things are always much welcomed!

I will be referring to him (Defender Strange) as Stephen just for convenience throughout this, and 616 will be used to refer to the MCU (even though I and many see it as the comic universe.) Anywho, let’s get to it!

- The differences in character between 616 and 617 begin on May 4th 2012, The Battle of New York. Doctor Stephen Strange is performing surgery at Metro general, leaving his usual post as neurosurgeon to join the ER nurses and Doctors as an influx of people is rushed in during this devastating attack. - The attack happened right after Stephen successfully completed a 10-15 hour long brain surgery, and thus midway through his work in the ER Christine and him have an argument about him taking a break. Stephen is required to take a 30 minute break so that he doesn’t collapse and can continue helping the steady stream of the injured, but being the stubborn man that he is he refuses to. -Eventually he leaves out of frustration, saying that he’d get some fresh air and then come back in knowing then Christine would be too busy with other patients to stop him from continuing his work. -When he goes outside, he’s horrified to face a swarm of Chitauri soldiers, the hospital has begun to be under attack. Stephen is attacked by one of the Chitauri, but is saved by the Hulk who shows up just in time to smash his way through the oncoming swarm and divert them from the hospital. -Unfortunately, during this Stephen gets fatally injured, wether by the Hulk directly, or by the Chitauri he couldn’t be sure through the pain and confusion. His hands end up being crushed, and parts of his body heavily wounded. -He manages to drag himself inside, and is forced to wait in line with the rest of the patients. This is agonizing, not just because of the pain, but because he knows the nerve damage in his hands will become irreparable while he sits there. -He develops a keen dislike towards the Avengers and their way of operating. Being a man who worked in the hospital he knew that the Avengers caused more ruckus than they stopped, and that these things were happening to earth because of their existence. -Stephen, while he was in the hospital tending to the wounded, spotted Jonathan Pangborn, a man he had refused to see due to the severity of his wounds. He couldn’t speak to him at the time, but seeks him out after his own surgeries to understand how he had miraculously healed. This is where he learns of Kamar-Taj. -Forced out of his job by his wounds, and fueled by anger and need for revenge, Stephen leaves to Kathmandu. He doesn’t wish to heal and take back his old life like 616 Stephen did, nor bring back something he had lost like 838 Stephen, he wishes to gain tremendous unfathomable power to overthrow the Avengers and protect the world in a way they could not. Now the whole Kamar-Taj spiel I haven’t figured out in detail because there is SO MUCH to work with, but something occurs and Tao is killed, but Stephen manages to pull through and put his thirst for power and revenge behind him to prove himself worthy of the title of Sorcerer Supreme, and thus after her death he replaces her. He basically has to go through a small amount of character development and gains the ability to use magic. It’s Defender’s equivalent of the 2016 movie and I’m yet to come up with anything concrete yet. Now, I’m aware that Doctor Strange 2016 (apparently) occurs in 2016, and the events of the next part, Age of Ultron, occurs in 2015 in the MCU timeline. However, in 617 Stephen becomes a sorcerer earlier, as his accident happens in 2012 during the battle of New York rather than 2016 when 616 Stephen goes on his journey to Kamar-Taj. Thus, during 2015 when Ultron attacks, Stephen in 617 is Sorcerer Supreme. That was unnecessary but I put effort into figuring that out so I’m putting it there. -Stephen has since mellowed slightly from his rage filled self who initially joined Kamar-Taj to overthrow the avengers, however his dislike for them still remains. When he hears of an attack in Sokovia caused by Stark Tech his personal bias causes him to disobey the Mystic order and he leaves to intervene. -Stephen wishes to be a force greater than the avengers, he wants to make sure that they don’t have to avenge because “If you’re avenging it means you’ve already lost.”

-With his new moral compass molded by Tao’s kindness and wisdom he is able to put his hate aside to help the Avengers and offer them his mystical help during the attack. As such they are somehow able to lower the floating island back down as opposed to destroying it over the ocean with the help of Stephen and the forces of Kamar-Taj who have not been in the public eye since the creation of the mystic order. - After everything subsides Stephen offers his two cents on the way they are operating, stating that earth needed to focus on its defenses. He did not want to prepare for a war by creating armies, but rather prepare so that they could avoid it. He offered a partnership with the Avengers, the mystic order would offer their help and services when needed and in turn they received the full cooperation of the avengers and their resources. Due to Sokovia never being destroyed the accords are never created, the band never splits up. With this new mission to Defend earth as opposed to creating a team ready to fight for it, the team grow much closer and manage to work a lot better. Where are my 2012 Avengers fam folk. I know you’re out there. -Thor and Stephen work together the most. Thor tells Stephen about his vision of the infinity stones during a dinner they were having, telling him that they should likely investigate potential enemies looking for them now that three of them were on earth. Tony overhears this and offers the knowledge he received during his own vision about Thanos. This initiates a mission to create a plan to defend the stones, with Tony sending out Stark bots around the world for surveillance and security and the Mystic order strengthening their barriers. On top of that Thor searched the cosmos for any signs that Thanos, their potential enemy, could be about. -All in all Stephen’s Intervention with the Avengers, and everything that came after manages to prevent Infinity war from happening. Because he never got blipped out Stephen remains Sorcerer Supreme and once satisfied with the way the avengers are operating he returns to the Sanctum and Kamar-Taj full time to focus more on his part as Sorcerer Supreme.

Anywho! That’s the most of what I have so far. I have some random bits and bobs of info which I’ll list down below. I wanted to have Defender be what 616 Stephen ideally wanted to be. Sorcerer Supreme, wiser and stronger, and able to protect what he cares for. Also because infinity war and endgame are such a big weight in Stephen in my re-write, having Defender avoid such events would lead to an interesting conflict within Stephen because he didn’t know he was capable of such things. However! Unlike 616 where he sort of repressed his feelings because his main conflict was his love and inability to express it, 617 Stephen was forced to be more emotional with him becoming a very angry and hateful man. Because of this, even later on, he finds himself jumping to conclusions and doing things before he thinks them through, he is a more emotion driven man as opposed to the logical thinker that we know Doctor Strange to be. This later on leads to him trying to take America’s power. He has as much to learn about himself as 616 Stephen does in my rewrite, and I found that really interesting to play around with.

Anywho, random facts.

-His hair is a symbol of his growth. It was shaved off after his accident so that the doctors could patch a cut on his head, and he grows it out when he becomes sorcerer supreme. -WONG IS A BIG PART OF HIS BACKSTORY! He is, I just haven’t figured out what part he plays. I really want to weave in influences from the Origins one shot which I ADORE and puts a cool ass twist on his character. I’ll make another post just for him when I come up with it. -His robes are never blue. They remain red like the Master’s robes with black highlights. The change of red with black highlights to Black with red highlights is meant to sort of symbolise his growth and ability to control his anger, with red obviously symbolizing his anger. -The robe designs which I attached above has elements from the original Comic Defenders Stephen. The chest symbol, the flap at the back and the slicked back hair are all influenced by his original appearance, but they change once he becomes sorcerer supreme and his hair obviously gets longer.

Anywho, that’s all for today! I know it’s messy but I really just needed to get this down. It’s not really important at all regarding the actual plot of the re-write, so I’ll probably alter details and bits and bobs here and there just for funzies. I’m in no way an expert about the Avengers, so if you have any ideas or comments about their incorporation here please do tell me!

On the film's audio commentary, Raimi revealed that the gray-templed Stephen Strange variant hails from Earth-617, the multiversal next-door neighbor of the MCU, which is set on Earth-616. In the comics, Earth-617 split from mainstream continuity after its version of Gwen Stacy avoided being killed by the Green Goblin and went on to become the superhero Spider-Woman. Earth-617 was later invaded and almost overrun by the Nightmare realm, and was ultimately destroyed during the 2015 Secret Wars storyline.

So technically Defender was in the same continuity as our Stephen until Gwen split the timelines.

You were saddled up in the aircraft, waiting for the current batch to finish training with Maverick. Cockpit half shut and waiting for mission control's green light, you opted to calm your nerves prior to this test. The last time, you were extremely nervous and became Maverick's first blood. Bob was finishing up pre-flight checks with Phoenix as she shuts the windshield above them. He was muttering to himself all the theoretical trajectories he studied last night, an opposite to what Maverick had taught: ditch the manual. He couldn't help but feel nervous as his leg kept bouncing up and down. "Earth turbulence?" Phoenix chuckles. "Sorry." Bob stops, opting instead to look around the runway to distract him from his thoughts. The backseater zeroes in on the aircraft next to theirs, particularly, the lone passenger who looks like she is also muttering theories to herself. Her glittery helmet sparkles despite being in the shade. Bob wonders if is it just her helmet, or is she an ethereal being who descended from the stars, glowing among them. Maybe that explains why you wanted to be a pilot: to take your place among the stars. The WSO fumbles with the communication controls in front of him, occasionally glancing to your direction. He switches through several channels, most of them empty, one sounded like Rooster, and a couple of them were just static, until... "Aha!" He's found your channel. "I would never fall in love again until I found her... " Bob blinks vacantly, looking at you while you were minding your own business, singing to yourself, or so you thought. "... I said I would never fall unless it's you I fall into.. " You continue to sing, unknowing of the WSO next to you watching and listening to one of his favorite songs. "...I was lost within the darkness but then I found her..." "I found you..." Bob mouths the lyrics, singing along. And then there was silence. You whip your head to Bob's direction all of a sudden, startling him and almost knocking himself out of the cockpit. "You've been listening this whole time?!" You look at Bob from your cockpit. "What- no i just- no...?" Bob replies incoherently, his stressed out breathing crackles into his mic. "Oh this is embarrassing," you frown. "Sorry for that. Must've been weird hearing me sing to myself-" you stumble on your words too. "No, it was quite calming actually, I enjoyed it." Bob smiles, giving you a thumbs up from his seat. "I quite like listening to you." You were left quite speechless with Bob's comment. With nothing else to say, you give him a thumbs up back, trying to keep the heat of your cheeks at bay. You keep a brief eye contact with Bob until... "So, are you guys dating now or...?" Phoenix's voice startles both you and her own backseater. "Phoenix!" "NATASHA?!!" You and Bob say at the same time. "What? We're in the same comms channel, of course I can hear you." She laughs teasingly. "Greenlight, squadron 2, prepare for taxi." Mission control suddenly rings into the radio, putting all three of you into pilot mode. You slide your cockpit door shut and fasten your mask as you carry out takeoff procedures. Once you were steadily on air and make your way to Mav, Phoenix decides to make one more jab. "You two should kiss after this session." You and Bob exhale exasperatedly into the radio. She'll never let this die. "Oh? Who's kissing who?" Maverick unexpectedly butts in as you spot him within airspace. He's jumped into comms. Fueled by love, fury, and embarrassment, that is how you became the only test squadron to successfully take down Maverick.

We defeated Thanos. The Decimation? I assume Thanos won in your reality then? Time Stone? Our time stone is locked inside the Eye of Agamotto...and no one since Agamotto managed to use it. It remains undetected. The Ancient One could open the Eye but...nothing more. That relic doesn't respond to anyone. Most Avengers and heroes died to defeat Thanos. That's why I decided to found the Defenders- so chaos wouldn't rise without the Avengers, I decided to gather the remaining heroes and start something new. So your Stephen could use both the Eye and the Time Stone. That's...absurd. I never could.

I'm planning an answer for a prompt including Defender Strange, and though he's Sorcerer Supreme of his universe, I've been head canoning (for the sake of my fics) that he splits his time between Kamar-Taj and the New York Sanctum. Wong runs daily matters in Kathmandu while Stephen is in NYC or on a mission with the Defenders.

They refused to carve a pagan statue and were martyred by retired co-Emperor Diocletian. A martyr named Simplicius died with them. The second group of Four Holy Crowned Ones died at Albano, Italy. St. Willehad, 789 A.D. Benedictine missionary and bishop. A native of Northumbria, England, he studied at York, was a friend of Blessed Alcuin, and became a monk in York or Ripon. About 766, he embarked upon a journey to preach among the Frisians of the Netherlands. He preached at Dokkum and Overyssel, but was forced to flee with his companions because of the violent pagan reaction. In 780, at the request of Charlemagne (r. 768-814), he became a missionary among the Saxons, but again he was forced to flee, owing to the Saxon uprising against the Franks. He went to Rome to make a report of his activities to Pope Adrian I (r. 772-795) and spent two years at Echternach monastery in Luxembourg. Wufrid gathered together missionary resources, and after Charlemagne's reconquest of Saxony, he received an appointment as bishop of Worms, Germany, in 787, with his seat at Bremen and ruissionary authority over the Saxons. He died at Bremen a few days after dedicating the cathedral of St. Peter.

St. Tysilio, mid 7th century. Welsh abbot. The son of a Welsh prince, Brochwel Ysgythrog, he left home at a young age to become a monk at Meifod in Powys, Wales, later serving as abbot. He departed Wales for Brittany, France, about 617, supposedly in an effort to escape the relentless attentions of the widow of his deceased brother and his father’s demands that he return home. In Brittany he settled on the site that became known as St. Suliac (his name in the region), although it is possible that the name may refer to some other person.

St. Cybi, 6th century. Welsh abbot, one of the most venerated saints in Anglesey, also called Cuby and Kabius. Born in Cornwall, England, and a cousin of St. David of Wales, he refused the throne of his area. Cybi went to Monmouthshire and then to Avanmore, in Ireland, to study under St. Anda. On Anglesey, an island near Holyhead, Wales, Cybi founded a monastery called Caer Cybi. He is the patron of Llangebby and Llangybi, as well as Cornwall, Tregony, Landulf, and Cuby.

St. Moroc, 9th century. Scottish bishop of Dunblane who originally served as abbot of Dunkeld. He was venerated especially in the old Scottish rite, and several churches bear his name.

St. Pope Deusdedit, Pope from 615-618, also called Adeodatus I. He was the son of a subdeacon, Stephen, born in Rome. Consecrated pope on October 19,615, he became known for his care of the poor. An earthquake hit Rome in August 618, and he worked tirelessly during the disaster. He was the first pope to use bullae on documents. It is possible that he was originally a Benedictine. Still trying to navigate this site, so sorry for the janky formatting. This is a post about my Re-write Defender Strange! He is much more integral to the plot, and accompanies Wong for the most part. He serves as an ally against Wanda and also as a window into the way Stephen Strange works, for us the audience as well as for Wong

Some of these concepts are outdated because I didn’t officially start making my re-write until after I compiled a bunch of disconnected ideas and headcanons, so some of them are very old and irrelevant but I still like them so I’ve attached them anywho. I have his backstory filled out now, but it isn’t fully fleshed out yet, so I’ll instead write about the changes to his character and involvement in the re-write in chronological order. I’ll upload his backstory later on hopefully! Here we go!

He is Sorcerer Supreme of his universe (617) because the blip never happened, and therefor the title never got passed onto anyone else. This means he’s also five years older than our MCU 616 Stephen.

He is very independent as Sorcerer Supreme, where MCU 616 Wong is very connected to Kamar-Taj, Defender is not. He operates from his Sanctum and has Defender Wong as his only real constant ally.

He has a guinea pig called Patchwork Quilt, and she is his pride and joy.

Cyttorak (I assume is it’s name?) is not controlled by Wanda, and instead is just a creature from a different dimension that he managed to piss off. America is also with him, having taken refuge in universe 617 after she fell into it.

Defender gets very badly wounded by Cyttorak, and with no other choice he decides to sacrifice America and absorb her power in hopes that he could control it and banish the creature before it did anymore harm. This causes America to panic.

At the same time that this is occurring, Wanda (616) is trying to dream walk. As a result of the many many multiversal tamperings 616 has been up to (Endgame, Loki, NWH etc etc) mixed with Wanda’s dreamwalking and America’s uncontrollable power going haywire, the Multiversal barrier between 616 and 617 rips open, and Defender, America and Cyttorak fall through into 616.

Cyttorak has a sort of venom or corrosive quality to its tendrils which has begun to infect Defender. Due to his title of supremacy in universe 617 his body could use magic to subconsciously fight off this venom, much like he can with any other disease or illness. Unfortunately, now that he’s in 616, a place where the magic is slightly different and Wong is the Sorcerer Supreme, he doesn’t have this healing factor. If he has any hopes of surviving he needed to get back to 617.

After Stephen and America vanish into the multiverse Defender assists Wong in tracking down Wanda after Kamar-Taj falls, despite his injuries. Wong learns a lot about the way Stephen functions through Defender, and Defender learns a lot about himself through Wong’s perspective on Stephen. Defender also helps Wong with his insecurities and feelings of unworthiness as Sorcerer supreme, giving him advice and encouragement as a fellow man of supremacy.

Stephen (who is in sinister’s universe) uses Defender’s body to dreamwalk and communicate to Wong. He manages to tell him Wanda has America and that he needed to save her before the souls of the damned interfere and Defender’s body goes unconscious.

In the end Defender saves Stephen from the souls by sacrificing his soul, and thus gaining control over them. This allowed Stephen to take control over the body, and fight Wanda while Defender controlled the souls as wings/cloak/sheild.

Defender wants to right the wrong he made in trying to take America’s power and is the first to realize she’s the key to defeating Wanda. He sacrifices his life to save America.

Defender passes away after Stephen stops dream walking, as his soul and physical body were too weak to continue functioning. He passes his supremacy to Defender Wong (who was summoned into the final battle by America) and he takes his body back to 617 to be prepared for the funeral and following ceremony. All the parts of the plot are not concrete yet, as I’ve only written out the second draft, but this is what I have so far regarding Defender! It is still very condensed and brief, but I hope it gives y’all a bit of a glimpse into his character. I’ll be uploading concepts of all the other Variants and characters involved in the story and how they interact and add to the plot.
