Crochet Snoodle Pattern
Crochet Snoodle
Crochet Savvy Snoodle
Elegant and sophisticated look, this Crochet Savvy Snoodle is incredible. What is a snoodle? It is the combination of a cowl that can slide up over the head to be like a hood.
Fabulous attention to the detailed stitches combined with natural-looking buttons for a refined look. This is using Canoe by Sugar Bush Yarns.
This design is by Michelle Moore of Sentry…

Another bonus to learning a fiber art is being able to speak to others in a Lovecraftian language that nobody else understands...

I found something kinda neat at an antique store today...
Still new in it's cellophane packaging, a WonderArt Rick Rack Afghan Crochet Kit from 1970-something. It has it's original sale sticker ($6.88 or around $53 today) even.
The wrapping has a couple of holes in it, so I won't be using it as a display piece in my craft room as originally intended. Time to bust this sucker open and make it!

Imagine spending hours knitting a sweater and then when you finish the sweater it unknits itself and turns into Jolyne Cujoh.

Danny Phantom Crochet Fantasy Hood- Part 5
Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4 | Here
It's complete!
It didn't take long at all, I just procrastinated in taking pics for the update.
The capelet turned out perfect! I consulted some tutorials because I thought it was going to be some sort of math problem to solve, but I just crocheted a few rows to the bottom of the hood and it worked out!
And here it is flat with a close-up of the capelet and the green ribbon I used for the tie. I would have rather a thicker ribbon, but I already had this one as I plan to use it for another part of the cosplay.
I'm cutting it shorter though.
I'm so happy with this project! My most perfect crochet creation so far!

Dustland Shawl
I had a lot more of the yarn left over from my sweater than expected, so that means casting on a new sweater with what was left! Since this yarn is a bit thicker than the pattern calls for, I may not do as many repeats as it says, but it's sure to be a good sized, fun textured shawl when I'm done. So far, I really like the crescent shape of it as well.

5 Textured Crochet Pillow Patterns + Tutorials
5 Textured Crochet Pillows
5 Textured Crochet Pillows
I created this set of 5 Textured Pillows for very personal reasons. The pillows can be solo but work together as a terrific 12″ pillow set.
I’ve been mentally struggling within. I needed a project that I could do for myself. I use crochet to self-heal from psychological damage I feel in the social media realm. I wanted a project that I could…

No crafting update today, because I am starting the process of making pie for the first time in years!! The pie crust is chilling in the fridge, I'm going to get the ingredients coming to room temp to make the caramel sauce soon, and tomorrow I'll make the rest of it
I know this might seem like not a big deal but I am so excited! It has been so long since I've been physically capable of making a pie. And like, yeah, I still can't do it all myself like I used to be able to, my brother is going to help me peel and chop the apples, but still!! I'm going to get to have caramel apple pie again!! :D

The main reason I prefer toe up socks: I end up with WAY too much yarn left if I try top down. Because I keep making them pretty short as a reflex
But I don't always want short socks!! I sometimes want longer ones!!
So I cast on toe up and keep going after the heel till I run out of yarn XD
Tbh that's a very normal one for me
Like I want to knit a striped jumper with 195 m in 100 g yarn. I'd normally grab 600 g for that weight, but 200 g of one and 300 g of another colour are all that was left at this dyer's shop. So I'll knit sleeves first (because those are important!!!) and the body afterwards. If it is cropped, then so be it!

Mona the Phantom Thief Amigurumi
First new crochet creation of the year, and he's up in my Etsy store now!
I looked everywhere for a pattern for him but couldn't find one. After weeks of crocheting and experimenting, I was finally able to make him all on my own!
If you'd be interesting in seeing the pattern for Mona up in my store as well, let me know!
