MISSING HAPPINESS

Depth:

This session was shorter than the usual morning meditation. It has been a few weeks that I have been visiting the temple close to my place during the morning hours. I am trying to add a morning meditation, outside my residence, to my routine. Though not established as a habit just yet, I am hoping to make it a habit.

The meditation from the night before this morning session was also shorter than my usual nightly session. I think I am in the middle of undergoing a change of concentration level.

The new depth may have plenty of unexplained happiness in it. I don’t know yet. It sure is the unexplained bit of a new depth that my attention can’t handle. My attention has had to build its stamina to last every new depth in the last 2 decades. I have had many stamina building phases in the past. These have been phases resulting in irreversible growth.

Without unexplained happiness appearing in my meditation, my attention is able to meditate for long. That’s what I have learned from this session. My attention has just about got used to unexplained inner Peace. It is only weeks since I have begun adding words to this blog to explain my experience of Peace during meditations.

From experience, I can share that life running energies when withdrawn up the spine and when in the head, is Peace. A surplus of life energies in the head is the Peace fluid. Life energies can be withdrawn from their incessant expenditure through the senses. The method is meditation. There is a distinct route that life energies take when shifting the point of withdrawal.

When part of the route goes from the tail end of the spine to the head and beyond, it is covered under Kundalini meditation related literature. Last night, my attention chose to stick to those layers of mind that are deep enough to run Peace but not deep enough to run happiness. A few more meditations should help my attention get used to some smiling, if I am lucky enough to be blessed with unexplained cheer.

رمضان بدأ .. امبارح خرجت مع صاحبتي نتغدى برا بما اننا يمكن منخرجش خلال رمضان ..

النهاردة أول يوم رمضان .. للأسف يعتبر مصحتش خالص الصبح من كتر التعب .. كنت مشغولة النهاردة اني مش عارفة ازاي هتمضمض كويس.. قد يبدور سبب غريب مريب عجيب.. لكن بجد دي أصعب حاجة بالنسبالي في نهار رمضان ازاي هتمضمض غي الوضوء .. الحمد لله اليوم خلص على خير.. ربنا يغفر لي تقصيري ويهديني يا كريم يا رب..

صليت .. سمعت حلقة بلال فضل.. سمعت لماذا رمضان .. سمعت اتاخر خدني جنبك ..

فكرت اني لما كنت متحمسة اسمع كل الحاجات دي كنت متحمسة أوي وكنت فاكرة اني مش هزهق خالص وأنا بسمعهم .. بس سربرايز اللي العقل بيوهمك بيه والفراشات والورد اللي كان بيخليني أهرب من المذاكرة وأنا بطالب اني أشوف البتاع ده ومذاكرش طلعت غنكوش.. لأني زهقت وأنا بتفرج لأن مفيش حاجة ممتعة يا آية .. مش كل حاجة مهمة ممتعة ..مفيش حاجة مهمة ممتعة أصلا !

lately i'm trying to focus more on myself than school. that's also one of the reasons why i'm currently reading rule of wolves by leigh bardugo and not early modernist prose for my classes.

i found out that one thing that keeps me from reading more books is me viewing it as a 'reward' for finishing all school related tasks. but with the amount of the assignments — that rarely happens and therefore i don't allow myself to read for fun. i'm trying to change that.

Reflection

Embarking on the journey of creating a dance choreography and filming a short video to promote and support Model United Nations (MUN) in our school was a truly enriching experience. Collaborating with my friends, we seamlessly blended creativity with purpose, using the universal language of dance to show the significance of MUN. We embraced the value of friendship and supporting people around us to achieve their goals and we showcased it by using a Bruno Mars' song Count On Me. The process not only deepened our understanding of international relations but also fostered teamwork and creativity. As we navigated the world of editing and cinematography, we realized the power of multimedia in advocating for meaningful causes. This was a great and profound experience and I am proud to had been part of it.

“Hi, Yuu!” a bubbly voice calls out to them. Yuu stops sweeping the leaves in front of Ramshackle and immediately notices Neige. It was hard not to with how much he stood out from the rest of Nrc. Clad in a white uniform and bright smile, Neige looked like an angel next to the black uniform of Yuu’s school. Also they were dating.

“Oh. Hey, Neige,” Yuu responded nonchalantly, continuing to sweep.

“You always look good with a broom in your hands. You look like a pretty witch!”

“Thanks. That’s what I was going for,” ironic because they were the only one who didn’t possess magic. Maybe they shouldn’t have used a flying broom to do this, who knew what the consequences were. But they were on a tight budget and this was the only thing available so it was better than nothing, they suppose.

There’s silence between them for a while as Yuu waits for Neige to tell him if there was any specific reason for his visiting, but there isn’t. Neige continues to stare with a ditzy smile on his face.

“Do you need something?” …that was a bit harsh. Yuu didn’t mind but they’ve gotten used to being blunt and curt that it comes off rude at the worst of times. Before they could correct themselves however, Neige interrupted.

“Oh, it was nothing really,” he’s blushing. He’s cute when he’s blushing. “I just wanted to visit, I can leave if you wa-”

“No, I’m not bothered, really. I was just asking,” Yuu pauses, not knowing what to say. “Do you want to come inside? I’m almost finished.” They are nowhere near finished, proven by the rest of the leaves that haven’t been brought to the pile.

“Really? Okay, then!” Neige jogs up to them and gives Yuu a kiss with a loud and audible ‘muah!’ before hurrying inside. He does not have any right to be this cute, they think as they sweep up the remaining leaves with very minimal effort. It would’ve been better if they didn’t do anything at all with the state of things- but they could worry about that later.

As soon as Yuu shut the door, the smell of warm treats and tea filled his senses (with a hint of deluxe tuna and dust but the dorm always smelled like that). They glance at the only table there was and see a plate of cookies and 3 cups of tea. They were only gone for 5 minutes max, so when…? Never mind, magic and Neige didn’t have to make sense.

Speaking of Neige, there he was petting an already asleep Grim- stomach probably full from tuna and sweet treats. He never really liked tea so his cup was still full. 

Neige sees Yuu at the door and gets up excitedly after making sure not to rouse the sleeping cat.

“Are you done?” he whispers. Yuu wasn’t sure why, Grim could sleep through an earthquake.

“Yeah,” Yuu lies easily. No need to add onto their lover’s already busy schedule.

“Do you want something to eat? Or maybe just cuddle on the couch?”

“Both sounds nice.”
