I’m so so SO glad you’re liking it!!!!!! It can get kinda heavy but it’s such a great story.... honestly I’d been wanting to start it since I saw the first pv for the anime all the way back last year but I was like, you know it’s a mappa anime! so I wanted to watch the anime as a new thing, cause I love mappa, but three episodes in I couldn’t hold back and just binged it. It’s kind of story that just makes you wanna drink it all in one go, isn’t it? so good so good

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm can’t say I see either of them much into fashion tbh, but if I had to pick probably model Kiri and artist Baku? That’s been my headcanon for a while now, actually!! I think for me it came from two characters in a manga I like that are a lot like a dog and a cat but have inverted fav animals and when I read about that I was like “oh, right, makes sense since they like each other” and then my brain turned it krbk because when does it not lmao

Ah man, I’m sorry but I’m not the best person to ask this to! I started this sideblog cause I had too many followers on my main and I didn’t want my stuff to be seen by that many people at first, so whatever I did probably isn’t what you’re looking for :( but really there isn’t much to it, just post whatever you like to draw, tag it as best as you can (but remember that only the first five tags appear in the search page) and be patient, since whatever you do at first you won’t get much attention anyway - the only real advice I can give is to draw something that makes you happy and that you’d draw anyway even if no one were to see it, it’ll make keep posting despite a possible lack of activity a lot easier!

I like to think Baku’s body is attuned enough to his own quirk that he wouldn’t get drawbacks of the kind tbh, though that wouldn’t be a bad thought for when he just starts to increase the output/width and strength of his explosions............ well, I myself suffer from chronic headaches and migraines so I’m always up for projecting on my favs ngl lmao

THANK YOU FOR LIKING HIM HE’S CALLED DAVIDE Dav for short, he’s a cat of a man and a music instrument enthusiast (mostly string ones, but he’s very good with the piano as well) - he works in a music instruments store, and he’s a uni student majoring in philosphy! He doesn’t like bothersome things, he isn’t very good at taking anything seriously or putting effort in stuff, but he’s very chill to spend time with and generally a nice chat both if you want mindless thoughts or deep conversations (he’s a philosophy major after all). He can’t sing for shit, he’s got two cats (tago and schelly!), and he just wants a quiet life to laze around but all his friends are hurricanes in human bodies, but then again, he picked them himself so he can’t complain. Fourth (and Final) Impressions of Deltarune Chapter 2

Edit: forgot to put a readmore. Forgive me! Spoilers under the cut!

- So I wasn’t even in the palace very long before we got to a series of puzzles that Berdly couldn’t solve, much to his frustration. I figured Berdly was building up to something, either a boss fight or a growth moment, and it was the second one. Turns out when you thrive off of praise, you develop a bit of a dependency... good on him to be self-aware.

- In the flashback sequence with the spelling bee, I noticed the word Noelle got nervous and stuck on - “December”. See, I remember another sequence in the city where we had a character moment with Noelle while pressing a series of switches that spelled out “December.” Clearly the word is significant to her in some way, and probably a negative way considering how it made her freeze up. Either something big happened in December, or something big happened involving a person close to her named December, since I remember her mentioning a “Dess”. I’m looking forward to where this goes.

- The theme in the Queen’s palace slaps, just gotta say that before we go further.

- So backtracking a bit, Lancer has been stone-ified, and Ralsei knows exactly what’s up: the dark fountains create worlds, the dark fountains that was sustaining Lancer’s world is gone, and that’s why Lancer is stone now. He’ll be fine, though, if we can get him back to Ralsei’s castle town and the fountain there. Good of him to offer a solution, except...

- ... hold the fuck up, Ralsei. So you’re telling me that this happened to Lancer because of the loss of his dark fountain - which Ralsei encouraged us to go through - and because of that, the Dark World that Lancer comes from is no more? And what’s more, Lancer now depends on the Castle Town fountain - that is, Ralsei’s fountain - to live. He is now life-bound to your town, Ralsei. He literally cannot leave you and still live, and even if he could, the world he knew is gone. Oh, but it’s ok, because you conveniently have a place for him to live under your roof now.

- And, hold on, who was it who told us we had to go through the Dark Fountain to get home?? I played through the first chapter just recently, that was you, Ralsei. I definitely remember Ralsei saying we had to do that, he gave us that quest in the first place, and I definitely do not remember him mentioning at any point that this would end with Lancer’s world being destroyed. This is absolutely not fine, Ralsei. Oh, and considering how conveniently us getting isekai’d in the library lines up with Ralsei suddenly insisting we had to go and do homework... Ralsei, are you the one isekai-ing us???

- *deep breath* Okay. I’m calling it now. There’s something Ralsei isn’t telling us. I joked earlier about how he wants to bake us into cakes and eat us, but to be clear, I think whatever’s going on here is more complicated than “Ralsei was the bad guy all along”. I get the feeling that Ralsei’s desire for friendship, especially towards Kris, is very genuine. It’s just... this whole situation is reminding me of Asriel’s deal in Undertale. Fitting considering the whole anagram situation... I wonder how Deltarune!Asriel is going to play into this.

- Okay, back to more current stuff in the game. I met up with Roulsx Kaard (idc how to spell it) again and he’s facing me in... the thrashing machine I made in the first chapter. I’m serious. Same color and everything, holy shit.

- behold the majesty

- COMETH FORTH, MY SQUEAKY DUCKY!!!

- ...whut?

- this is excellent. I’m going to die of excellent.

- ohh, now he’s gonna transform... aaaaand...

- oh. ... you know, I wondered when it was gonna catch up to him?

- ice cold, Ralsei. Ice cold.

- “Why don’t we close our eyes and imagine how she’s doing now” Just like last game... is Ralsei actually activating some kind of power when this happens?

- “I wish Dess could see this”? I knew it! I’m on to something!

- taking a moment to acknowledge the shipping energy in the air

- Noelle (paraphrased): “Where are we, anyway?” Me: say “Dark World” Susie: “You’re just having a dream” Again with Susie thwarting player intentions...

- .. a heart-covered Ferris Wheel. Okay, Toby Fox, we’re doing this now!

- Susie has a tail???

- BERDLY WHAT

- And again, we return from a Susie Sequence to Ralsei apparently explaining something to Kris and finishing with a variation of “so that’s why-” before getting cut off by Susie. What are you explaining, Ralsei.

- Checked a calendar in Noelle’s palace room. “Every page is the last month, every day is the 25th”... what??

- another banger of a final battle!! let’s do this!!!

- See, I had a feeling that the Queen didn’t actually want to hurt anybody, but she has a... funny... idea of what constitutes helping. It clicks with her being basically a personified search engine - she literally wants nothing more than to give people what they want and make them happy, but she’s not always great at figuring that out based on what they search. She mentions Noelle’s “sad and lonely searches”... Noelle, honey, are you ok?

- Excuse me, Queen, this Dark World was created *today*? ... And it was created by the Knight... and I already suspect that Ralsei is “isekai-ing” us... Ralsei, are you the knight?

- New important info: “Lightners” are apparently necessary to create Dark Fountains due to their determination, and unlike Undertale, determination isn’t exclusive to humans

- BERDLY!!! BERDLY IS PUTTING THAT REDEMPTION ARC TO GOOD USE!!!

- ...

... this game just became perfect

- Oh hey, White Diamond, what’s up?

- “Oh Damn I Did Not Know That” WELL NOW YOU TELL US, RALSEI!

- Susie doesn’t have a tail? Make up your mind, game!!!

- Phew. Okay. Okay. The actual game part is over. Time to process some thoughts...

- So we’ve seen two Dark Worlds so far, Lancer’s world based on games (cards, checkers, etc) and the Queen’s world based on computers and the internet. The running theme I notice so far is escapism. During her fight, the Queen monologued about a desire to fulfill the desires of people who turn to the internet to dull their pain or look for new distractions. And as for Lancer’s world... well, it’s implied to literally be made of abandoned toys. Both of them things people turn to when they need a little entertainment or escapism to avoid their real-life problems for a bit. And I think it’s been mentioned that Darkners are essentially made to serve Lightners; perhaps helping them cope with the difficulties of life?

Even putting aside the symbolism here, Susie and Kris literally escaped to this world to blow off their classwork, and Susie in particular seems to think the Dark World is better than anything in the Light World. In the final battle, Susie, Noelle, AND Berdly were all just about to open up a Dark Fountain themselves and make themselves better lives in the Dark World and only stopped when Ralsei very firmly informed them about the Roaring. Is this going to come up again? Are these kids going to struggle with the temptation to abandon their real lives to go play eternally in the Dark World?

And isn’t that just a perfect microcosm of the relationship that people have with video games in general - including this one? The perfect opportunity to just forget about your own life for a bit and temporarily live in a different world altogether, one with battles and magic and adventure?

Just what the fuck is going on here, Ralsei? Was I too quick to accuse him of being a secret villain earlier? Is Ralsei just trying to get us to process our shit in the Dark World, and then destroy it so we move on to the Light World with renewed hope in life? .. or is he just trying to make himself the center of our fantasies?

- HOLY SHIT THE QUEEN IS HERE! THE QUEEN IS HERE AND SHE’S GONNA BE A MOM FOR LANCER!!! (or “girldad” as Lancer puts it)

- ...have the Queen and King met? I mean, it would make sense, but they haven’t been mentioned as having a relationship of any kind or even knowing each other. Is this another Toriel/Asgore kind of situation?

- HOLY SHIT I KNEW IT SHE IS HIS MOM

- So I’m just talking to NPCs around Castle Town, right, and I meet up with Seam again. He just told me to be careful not to stay in there too late and that I don’t want to get caught when the sun goes down... DAFUQ YOU MEAN, WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE SUN GOES DOWN???

- This is wonderful, I’m now witnessing Toriel and Sans having a joke-off in person.

- (Sees Kris going in to wash their hands) (Hears Toriel say “they do that sometimes”) ...so Kris has like... a condition? The heart-ripping thing has happened before?

- (Sees last thing before credits) ...okay then!!! I think that’s all the things I can get into one post, haha! Forgot to mention some things, but I can only type so much!!! Can’t wait to talk about this later, haha!!! (holy shit)

Thoughts on Agony of a witch (Spoiler warning! (Duh))

Oh boy I was doubting this series’s before but not anymore! This episodes is easily the best in the season. Grom doesn’t have shit on this episode! Everything was just great about AOAW, the music, the suspense, the action, the story, the animation, it was all wonderful!

- for one, Hooty is damn creepy when he fights not only does he effortlessly kick the emperors covens ass (you’d think they’d be more powerful than this but whatever) but he has a tea party with their unconscious bodies after. That was an interesting (& creepy) choice & it has me curious if Eda created him or not. We need a hooty backstory.

- Eda’s curse is getting worse and after episodes of not mentioning it they finally acknowledge how bad it’s getting & how Eda needs more potions or a higher dosage to barely keep it under control KEY WORD “BARELY”. It does remind me of when my aunt had cancer and her chemotherapy stopped working they had to higher the dosage. Good job on finally talking about it.

- When Luz leaves I do like how Eda & King reflect on how the “vibe” of the house changed when Luz showed up & how King thought they were gonna eat her (I guess it confirms witches do eat human kids)I am picking up a familia love from Eda & King so now we have the found family trope (Which I love). I thought it was cute when Eda decided to make a cape as a sign of gratitude & how it sets up how important this cape is when Eda talks about the material it’s made out of.

- Luz’s class is going on the field trip to the emperors coven but isn’t Bump the principal not a teacher?At my school whenever we had a field-trip it was the Teachers that went with us not the principal, Bump didn’t even play a big role so they could have swapped him out for a Teacher & nothing would change.

- Amity’s leg is still broken so she can’t attend the field-trip, which I thought was a good idea she didn’t go. I feel like the writers would try to force in more Lumity moments and it would distract from the plot. I do like Lumity but if Amity was there then fans would focus on that rather than the story & the last two episode were Amity focused so she wasn’t needed in this episode. Smart move from the writers, maybe if her legs heals next episode she could be there but idk.

- Now while Luz was thinking about stealing the healing hat I was a bit conflicted on it. I don’t like how the show is telling viewers it’s okay to steal but In Luz’s case it’s for a good cause, she wanted the hat so she could heal Eda’s curse. It’s like those cases you hear of people stealing groceries to feed their families, I felt the same here. Yeah stealing is bad but if it’s for saving someone you love is it really that bad? Idk if the writers wanted us to be conflicted over that dilemma but they succeeded.

- “Good luck with puberty” I laughed when Lilith said that, can’t believe Disney let that slip in.

- I have to say I do like the lore we get in this episode. Emperor Belos established the coven system 50 years ago to “honor the titan” which is the boiling Isles where they might get their magic from, before that witches were doing wild magic in what was called “the savages ages” it’s setting up more lore about the emperor like how did he rise to power? Who was he before? What were these “savage ages” like? If it was 50 years ago then there still are witches & demons that were alive in the savage age & they could tells us what life was like before. It also means Emperor Belos is 70+ years old. I’m just saying a human could live that long. 👀

- Now emperor Belos, wow his designs looks cool as hell, his voice is amazing too, it’s kinda sinister yet soothing at same times. As shown, it looks like he’s in a weakened state, he has to take these weird bird glowing green slime thing to have energy. We don’t know why or how he got like that, but it seems like he wants to Capture Eda so she doesn’t try to overthrow him since he’s weak. In fact, that might be the reason for the coven system, if he limits their magic then they aren’t strong enough to overthrow him. We only saw him for a bit but he gave a good impression when Luz said that no one will know about her stealing the hat we hear Belos voice echo: “ I will know” in the most bone chilling voice ever! The crew did a great job on him! Tho one thing I noticed is why is every big villain always in a weakened state? Darth Vader, Hordak, Aaravos, Zarkon, every anime villain. I just noticed this trope is overused, but I hope we can see Belos at his strongest and see how powerful he is. I have high hopes for him!

-Lilith discovers Luz is there & decides to use her as a decoy to lure in Eda. Which she succeeds when Eda goes there all angry for daring to drag Luz into her issues. I love how Eda doesn’t even try to stay calm she just straight up attacks Lilith & you can feel her angry.

- Speaking of that fight, best fight in the series thus far! The animation, the spells, the music, the raw emotion, it was all down great! It does remind me of a DBZ style of fighting when they’re moving so fast that your eyes can’t catch up & their magic surrounding them like Eda went super Sayion, I’m not complaining I like those kinds of fight & The intensity you feel in the fight is overwhelming. Luz’s life is at stake and Lilith even uses her as a human shield. She knows how much Luz means to Eda & was willing to kill her. Hell, she even threw Luz toward the spikes and Eda had to save her, then they both struggle with Eda trying to lift her up & Lilith trying to press her against the spikes & then Eda slowly turns into a monster THIS IS HOW YOU WRITE A FIGHT (takes notes she ra)

- Now the biggest bomb drop in the series. IT WAS LILITH WHO CURSED EDA. she blurted it out in a rage of jealousy it seems. They were insulting each other on how one is better than the other. Then when Lilith says “THEN WHY WERE SO EASY TO CURSE?!” My jaw dropped, I suspected they would tell us but not this episode, you see can see the hurt & betrayal in her eyes when it was her own sister who cursed her. Like ouch. From what I suspected is that Lilith was jealous of Eda from what their exchanges told us. But why was she jealous of Eda? Friends? Magic capabilities? Power? Maybe fighting over a crush? What? Whatever the reason is does not excuse doing that to your sister and your YOUNGER SISTER AT THAT. Goodness & I thought Edric and Emira took it too far with the diary thing. I’m officially part of the hate Lilith club. Idc what you do but hurting your sibling like that is the worst thing you can do to them, just imagined how much Eda suffered for DECADES with this curse. No redemption can fix that. But boy do they need Family therapy or just punch it out that works too.

- I loved it when Eda went into rage mode when she found out it was Lilith who cursed her. Her own sister. Like damn that has to hurt knowing your own family did that to you. She deserved to beat Lilith to a bloody pulp & I’m happy she didn’t even bother to listen to Lilith she just wanted to attack her & I don’t blame her one bit.

- Ugh the scene where the curse overtakes Eda was a heart wrenching one. She knows she slipping away and tells Luz to take care of King & Hooty & to stay safe before she slips away. When Lilith told Luz that Eda is with her true family made me want to punch her more than Amity’s parents. You feel how helpless Luz felt & I hope they work towards her character with that feeling because Luz is happy go lucky & seeing her in despair makes for great character development.

- it kind of reminds me of when Queen Angella sacrifices herself In season 3 but I hated how they never acknowledged it since season 4 & she doesn’t even return by the end season 5, they pretty much forgot about her. We know for sure Luz will never leave Eda behind & will go save her.

- So we know Luz will go back to save her cuz we do see her wearing the cape Eda made her in the promo. Also we have 1 episode left so we know she’s gonna attempt a rescue mission for Eda but will she succeed? She’s up against the emperors coven! She’s gotta pull all her cards on the table & team up with her friends.

- A witch loses a true way. It could refer to Lilith officially turning to the dark side or Eda being lost in her curse even into season 2. Knowing Disney, they will give us a happy ending cuz it’s Disney but I will be pleasantly surprised if Luz fails to save Eda by the next episode.

- One last thing, I like the credits had no music, just silence. It reminds me of in full metal alchemist whenever a character dies the credit are always silent. I guess it’s meant to represent despair in a way? Or change? Yeah it think it’s change.

- This is why shows should focus on the plot because when you do, it delivers for some great storytelling & this episode surpasses all of the episodes combined. when you focus on the story & lore & characters it makes for great emotional impact of an episode and I hope Dana and the crew continues to do this. This show has so much going for it & people who only watch a show for a ship are clowns because this is what you’re missing out on. an amazing story. I applause Dana & the crew for this episode, really outdid yourselves!

- Overall 9.7/10 it was phenomenal!

KHR Jujutsu Kaisen AU Part 2

About the Vongola Tenth Gen and the Kokuyo gang. Spoilers for JJK.

Yamamoto scouts Tsuna to become a member of the Occult club on the promise they’re just chilling and not actually doing anything.

Tsuna accepts because 1) not doing anything, and 2) “See mom and dad? I’m in a club, I do have a school life and here’s are my hopefully-to-be-friends club members, so please get off my back and thank you.”

(Yes Iemitsu is a present and good dad in this.)

(He retired from the Jujutsu Sorcerers (JS) business when Nana got pregnant and never looked back.)

(He does deal with low level Cursed Spirits (CS) on the daily if only to keep their neighborhood safe.)

Yamamoto and Tsuna are on “clean the instrument shelter” duty (or something lol idk), and find the cursed charm.

Tsuna instantly has a very very bad feeling about this.

“Yamamoto please don’t pick it up.”

“Yamamoto please don’t open it.”

“Yamamoto I’m begging you don’t bring this up to Gokudera-kun and Haru-chan.”

Yamamoto laughs it all off and doesn’t listen. He brings it up to Gokudera and Haru. Gokudera and Haru instantly want to unwrap the charm.

Tsuna does not meet up with them at school that night, and only feels a little bit guilty about this. (Listen, he did his best alright?)

He does run into Hibari on his way to the grocery store.

Hibari says very little and doesn’t explain shit but makes it clear his friends are about to die.

Tsuna runs to school with him.

The cursed charm is a disgusting weirdly clean eyeball Tsuna ends up swallowing because this Hibari guy is losing and they’re all hurt and it’s pretty obvious they’re all going to die.

(In a parallel universe of this AU Haru is the one who swallows the cursed charm because she’s batshit crazy like that and never shied away of the consequences of her batshit craziness, and all I’m saying is some fun things happen in this parallel AU too.)

(But it’s not the AU we're talking about right now.)

The CS the eyeball belongs to is Byakuran.

It’s BYAKURAN OMGGG ASDFGHJKL!

(I’m sorry but the idea just punched me in the face and just fits this crack treated “seriously” AU and I’m a fucking genius actually.)

(Anyway Byakuran revives and all over Japan his Guardians do too.)

(I will not elaborate this side plot further.)

Byakuran deals with the CS and then beats up Hibari, and it earns Tsuna Hibari’s everlasting interest.

Tsuna, not Byakuran.

This is not a good thing.

Tsuna doesn’t even want his interest.

It’s the worst fucking night of Tsuna’s life.

(Except it’s only just the beginning asdfgh.)

Iemitsu badly hints at Tsuna he’s a retired JS and if he ever needs help for anything he can just let him know.

Tsuna doesn’t catch the hints and never let him know of anything.

Yamamoto, Gokudera and Haru aren’t exactly invited to the Tokyo school but good thing they don’t give a fuck about that. Wherever Tsuna goes they go.

(Also Tsuna saved them and it’s all their fault to begin with, and they aren’t about to let him go into this mess alone.)

Ryohei and Kyoko are second years at the Tokyo school.

Former-rich-boy Gokudera and from-the-countryside Ryohei instantly rub each other the wrong way.

Haru “I’m weak for pretty faces that hide slyness and cunning” and Kyoko “batshit crazy is the only normal I want in my life” hit it off right off the bat.

“Predictable and simple man” Tsuna instantly gets a crush on Kyoko.

Hibari is a third year student, the third year student, and doesn’t leave Tsuna alone. It has the unfortunate consequences (for Hibari) of him getting acquainted with the rest of the Vongola Tenth Gen (VTG).

Mukuro is a third year student at the Kyoto school. He meets the VTG during the Goodwill Event.

Both Ryohei AND Kyoko are the Aoi Todo of this AU. Except Kyoko keeps it strictly to the battlefields while it’s just Ryohei’s default state lol.

Ryohei is the immovable object while she is the unstoppable force.

Ryohei specializes in the medical field because of his technique that allows him to overpower cursed energy damages by the sheer strength (and healing properties) of his own cursed energy and effectively canceling them (or something lol idk), so he’s not that often on the battlefields.

But when he is and Kyoko is right there by his side and they team up against a common enemy?

Oh boy, no one ever knows what hits them.

They proudly represent Japan countryside and intend to honor it.

Hibari is a Gojou who doesn’t have any techniques (but does have cursed energy), and uses cursed tools to fight, and had to prove his worth all the way to being the top student of the Tokyo school.

Mukuro is a Zen’in and a prodigy like the clan didn’t see in a long time and was born with a silver spoon in his mouth.

Mukuro overpowers Hibari during the Goodwill Event and wounds his pride.

Hibari backs him in a corner during round two and wounds Mukuro’s pride.

Thus an everlasting rivalry between the two is born.

No one else gives a shit about it and they sure as fuck don’t try to intervene.

Round three just keeps happening again and again because of course they’ll never agree on who’s the best between them.

Gokudera is the only one among the VTG who doesn’t have cursed energy. He doesn’t let that stop him.

He reads all of Verde researches from beginning to end and then backwards and then makes his own researches, and it ends up not mattering much at all.

(Also he becomes a Verde stan second, and a human being third.)

(He’s a Tsuna stan first and foremost.)

He projects his insecurities onto “natural born JS” Yamamoto and one-sidedly starts a rivalry between the two. He thinks Yamamoto choosing to fight with a cursed tool when he has perfectly working cursed energy is a jab at him.

But “simple man with simple needs” Yamamoto simply is not interested in fighting monsters if he doesn’t get to have a cool sword while doing it.

Also he doesn’t really mean to but he is a competitive guy in nature, and kind of throws oil in the fire and gets involved in the rivalry too.

Meanwhile Haru thrives in the JS business. Fighting monsters? Saving people? Fighting for the sake of humanity?

Yes please, let her just design and handmade her own coolest outfit first.

She’s a high level gymnast so she wants to specialize in close quarter combat. Asks Fon to teach her because she wants the best and nothing else.

Fights using hoops and I don’t know how practical it would actually be and Idc because the image in my head right now is really cool.

MM is a CS and Mukuro has to exorcise her. They sass each other during the whole fight and become buddies by the end of it.

Mukuro proceeds to announce to the whole JS business Kyoto (and Tokyo) branch he’s keeping her and no one is allowed to exorcise her.

It's a big no-no for everyone.

“But Skull-sama is literally keeping Reborn? Humanity biggest threat?”

It's a less of a big no-no but still a no-no.

“Fine, let me improve my clan technique in a way that was never done before and turn MM into my shikigami without exorcising her.”

It works.

Mukuro proceeds to also not-exorcise Ken and Chikusa.

But Ken is dumb and always forgets to create the curtain, so one day the fourth of them just crash into Chrome’s living room.

They think they can get out of that with just an apology and the fact they saved her life from the CS that followed them, but no, they really can't.

Chrome barely manages to pay for her apartment? She’s an independent broke ass student?

“You will give me the money for the reparations right here and now or you’re not going anywhere.”

They bring Chrome to the JS’s Kyoto school principal so she can be compensated.

Daniela sends them to the Zen’in clan head because “No Mukuro, we’re done with your shit financially wise, learn how to behave or get your own clan broke, thank you, goodbye.”

Chrome is compensated by Lancia, but then she just never leaves.

And becomes a JS.

It sure as hell pays better than the part-time job she was doing until now.

Tsuna’s first mission is to exorcise 5yo CS Lambo and his twin sister I-Pin.

But it’s simply not happening.

Byakuran thinks it’s the occasion to fuck with him and he tries to take over his body to make him exorcise them anyway.

Tsuna shuts him the fuck down.

“I will kill you. And I do mean you only. I will find a way to kill you and you alone.”

“I will find all your stupid disgusting eyeballs, and crush them under my foot, and smear them on your stupid wings I would have first rip off of you, and roll them into a ball, and shoves them straight in your guts, and burn you to smithereens.”

“I will murder you with my bare hands in the slowest and most painful way, don’t you fucking dare harm them.”

Tsuna brings Lambo and I-Pin safely back to his school.

Fon steps up before anyone can disagree because holy shit, it’s actually the first time he sees baby CS and they’re cute as fuck??

Yes, of course they’re keeping them.

It starts a trend.

They’re all very proud of their CS Task Force against others CS they’re building little by little.

They begrudgingly agree to let 16yo Mukuro be in charge of it because he is the one who started it all after all.

Also the OG Task Force is the Kokuyo gang and they wouldn’t listen to anyone but him.

It’s a disaster because Mukuro’s only 16yo and also a smart dumbass but the results are there anyway.

The higher-up aren’t so happy with this Task Force.

No one else gives a shit.

Everybody is ready to fist fight them if they even think of dismantling---let alone harming---their awesome Task Force.

They make sure the higher-ups get the hint.

I wanted to add some others characters (namely Bianchi and Dino) but unfortunately I have assignments to do. Well, have this for now, in the hope you enjoy it!

I just watched ep. 11 (so SPOILERS) and am now praying that Tadashi isn’t as stupid as he seems and has some super secret plan in the works bc the path he’s going down will clearly do the opposite of help Adam. He literally used the right equation, but got the wrong answer 😑 He said “Oh abandonment + isolation issues?? Lemme just abandon our shared endeavor (again) so that you rely upon only one person who dislikes you and doesn’t give two shits about you beyond your skating skill 😃” Ah yes how lovely that’ll work out. I’d never blame Tadashi for all of Adam’s issues but why does he keep dropping the ball?? Please sir, I beg you to consider showing a crumb of emotion/commitment so that Adam knows you care and will be less of a hilariously terrifying menace. The change in the end credit sequence gives me a little bit of hope that Tadashi will figure out how to be there for Adam the right way (caring about his person more than his image). Honestly surprised how much content we got on Tadashi and Adam. Highlighting their relationship and how much Tadashi wants to help Adam, makes Adam falling so low in this episode much sadder. The parallels between them and Renga hurt so bad. And the way they explicitly explained one of them to us for the ppl who think Tadashi does/should hate Adam 😶. I was honestly hoping for more chronologically clear backstory, but I’m still surprised by how focused this ep was on them and seeing the contrast between them as blushing little kids to now.

And I know you said you see Tadashi as closest to the God figure with the references. But look how the race with Reki (apple) further corrupted Adam, but provided a moment of enlightenment to Tadashi (snake [og Eve? Lilith?]). While the Snake brought the apple to the garden, wasn’t it also Eve who gave into it? Idk I’m starting to feel like Tadashi is misnomered bc of the backstory and how he has no malicious intent in taking him down. And even though Lilith is known for not being subservient to Adam, in a way Tadashi fits by hurting the relationship when making the one big stand siding with Adam’s father (possibly the devil in Adam’s POV) and what Adam would probably consider to be the sin (giving up skateboarding). This is kind of confusing bc I definitely think that Adam sees losing skating as the ‘sin’. But Tadashi views skating as the ‘sin’. So while Tadashi sees himself as the snake (fundamentally lower and a negative influence) Adam could have seen him as a Lilith (With him in the garden first and equal with him until he fell [down into his subservient role]). I think this ep highlights that bc of Tadashi’s contrasting teacher and servant roles, when in childhood they were somewhat equal. I think the only way Tadashi truly falls into the ‘God’ role is if he really does go through with forfeiting and basically offers up Langa (Eve) to Adam. (Btw I have virtually 0 bible knowledge so I am very under qualified to be making these inferences lmao)

I was so worried when it seemed Reki was gonna win bc it would’ve seemed so unrealistic to me. I totally blocked out that outcome until he did the cliff jump and I got nervous lol. I do like that the reason Reki pulled ahead and the reason he lost are the same thing. Reki does have a unique strength of innovation with boards but it doesn’t automatically get him to the levels of those more skilled.

Also very happy about the 🍵🌸 moment of Joe not even arguing about pushing Cherry. Did Cherry purposefully not use his Carla wheelchair just so Joe would have to help him?? I guess we’ll never know. Also Joe’s face watching Cherry laugh at Adam (I think showing Cherry moving on from his admiration of him). Idc what anyone says, Joe is totally pining for Cherry and it’s so sweet.

Oh and!! The investigation is doing a raid?! Jail for Adam ig bc there’s no way they’ll include that as a plot point for everything to come back clean. (And if Tadashi takes the fall not just bc the order but bc he actually thinks that what best, I will never forgive his dumbass 😤 Adam probably wouldn’t even function without Tadashi anyways since he takes care of so much)

I don’t remember if I mentioned it to you or someone else, but I didn’t think Adam would end up ultimately skating against Tadashi because their relationship is irreparably broken (at least right now), so Adam isn’t willing to listen to anything Tadashi has to say and wouldn’t really be able to learn anything if they raced since the only thing he seems to feel towards Tadashi is resentment: long-term resentment from when he was younger, and a stronger sense of it now after Tadashi tried to use it to force him to quit. So Tadashi forfeiting and giving the race to Langa makes sense to me in terms of Tadashi realizing that he really screwed up and that the only person who can really save Adam at this point/revive his “pure” love for skating is Langa, because Langa’s the only person Adam considers an equal. Because if Adam can return to that state of “innocence,” then he could simply enjoy skating for the sake of skating, and he would be able to skate with anyone regardless of their skill level, rather than needing someone at his level. In other words, he would no longer need an Eve, a perfect partner just for him.

And I will never say no to more Adam backstory. Even though it didn’t really show us anything especially novel. xD

Uh. So... I’ve got even less Biblical knowledge than you, lol. I have no idea who Lilith is and what she does. -goes off to do some research-

Okay, so based on The Alphabet of Ben-Sira, I personally don’t think that Tadashi is Lilith, since he clearly is considered inferior to Adam by pretty much everyone, including himself. Between Eve and Lilith, he strikes me as more Eve. The incident with Adam’s father (glad to know that he’s actually dead, lol) was also him taking a passive/subservient role to his “master.” And even as a child, he understood that he wasn’t Adam’s equal, even though he taught Adam how to skate. Again, in terms of skill, yeah, they’re on the same level, but socially, they weren’t/aren’t. So to me, Langa actually fits the idea of Lilith better, because Adam does see him as an equal, and Adam will most likely end up losing to Langa, who would refuse to “lie below” Adam, and who rejects Adam and runs away (with Reki). But yeah, Tadashi literally giving Langa to Adam (whether Langa is “Eve” or “Lilith”) definitely reinforces my Tadashi as God thoughts. (Though again, with a duality of also being Eve, at least originally.) xD

Absolutely agree regarding the really close result of Adam/Reki. Yeah, there’s an explanation for why Reki could get ahead of Adam (and Adam’s got a longboard, which has less maneuverability), but even with those taken into account (and Adam’s really weird/kinda OOC imo moment of self-doubt), I still don’t think it should have ended up as a photo finish given their vast difference in skill level. If Adam can catch up even after giving Reki a half-course head start under normal conditions, there’s no reason for him to not be able to easily beat Reki, even after taking everything into consideration, other than protagonist plot armor/drama. Though my dislike of Reki is also lessening (thankfully) now, regardless. Like, Reki isn’t a bad kid. I get that. I just found him to be super obnoxious and toxic in a typical teen way. ^^;

I was pretty sure Reki wouldn’t win, but I was annoyed that he lost by such a small margin, because yeah, that seems unrealistic.

Cherry absolutely ditched Carla to make Joe push him around. <3

But yeah, Adam is absolutely getting in trouble and more than likely going to jail. I’m still holding out hope that he’ll have an epiphany and turn himself in rather than make Tadashi take the fall, but I’d be equally happy if he just continued spiraling into madness. Either way, his character development would be fantastic. xD

Okay here’s my post-season thoughts. Major salt tw like so many others in the rpc/general fandom. Some of these were written before I started watching due to having spoilers, some are being written as I watched. These are all my thoughts specific to me, not looking to get into arguments with anyone over them. Read my thoughts if you want but don’t @ me over them.

-I don’t like the Allurance that got shoehorned in. Never have, never will, I think it was handled/written/spaced out poorly to say the least and I wish for the sake of Lance and Allura’s characters that they’d left the romance off the table completely. I truly think they did a disservice to what could’ve been even bigger & better growth for both characters to have not ended up together whether Allura’s final sacrifice happened or not. I have so much more I could say about this but I’m leaving it at this summary of ‘thanks dreamworks i hate it’. -I’m extremely sad that the main face to face Sheith interaction was during a group briefing and the Allura celebration dinner, and it lasted all of twelve seconds total. After all the emphasis put on their mutual bond in the Black Paladin’s episode, that’s a letdown whether you ship it or not. -Coran being an Allurance cockblock was hilarious and I would’ve enjoyed that whether I liked Allurance or not. Bless Coran for being best space uncle. -Catch me in the club loving that Colleen & Pidge screentime together seeing them be mother and daughter. -As a Plance shipper I’d be lying through my teeth to say I’m not disappointed by that outcome after a lot of what seemed like solid foreshadowing and hints from VA’s themselves. Allura’s death was not how I wanted to see Pidge have any kind of chance with Lance (no rhyme pun intended). They all deserved better than this, no matter what the reason was for Allura’s sacrifice. Watching Pidge trade her video game that she wanted so badly to get Allura a dress for a date with the boy she liked (idc what anyone says to try and change my mind, I’ve been convinced for far too long that Pidge has harbored feelings for Lance for a long time) absolutely broke my heart. You could see the hesitation and pain in her face before she said ‘just take the game’. -Also bless for some kind of interaction with Lance and Hunk’s family. I love them all even if they’re minor side characters. -Veronica having any romantic interest in Keith is so so random to me and I thank Lance for veto’ing that hardcore. I’m not against het ships at all obv but that one was so out of left field I wanted none of that. -I love all the flashbacks to Lotor’s childhood and early adulthood, even if it’s very late I’m happy to see his backstory get fleshed out and also see more of the backstory with Honerva and Zarkon as a couple. Good story content that I actually did ask for. -I had a heart attack when Cosmo attacked the superweapon. Would’ve been so upset if he’d died. Was sad we literally never saw him again though the entire season. -Pidge’s face the entire time on Olkarion breaks my heart. It truly is a loss that Olkarion was destroyed and Reiner died too but I’m glad we got closure on that if we had to lose them. -BAE BAE SCREENTIME MAKES ME SO FUCKING HAPPY. -Also more backstory on Lance’s family makes me so happy. -I love seeing Axca interact with Garrison members. Also more Iverson screentime he’s still cool in my book. -”Oh what I’d give for a GPS right now” PIDGE I LOVE YOU LMAO -Axca showing more concern for Keith’s well-being than Shiro is again, extremely disappointing. Freaking Veronica did more to save Keith than Shiro did. Again, thanks Dreamworks I hate this. -Hella glad we got another Atlas transformation. I still love the Atlas no matter what anyone says about it. -SAM DEALING WITH SLAV IS HILARIOUS! -Allura crying over Honerva’s blackmailing her for Lance’s safety than when she destroyed Alfor’s memories in Crystal Venom. I smell more bad characterization no matter how she feels about Lance. On screen Allura is not a cryer. -KINKADE SCREENTIME I’M SO ABOUT THIS. -MORE BAE BAE SCREENTIME!! -Nadia in the 47th Day episode is freaking hilarious I love her sm. -All this Bae Bae screentime makes me so damn happy have I mentioned that recently?? -Hunk is a fucking ball of sunshine and I love him sm for going out of his way to try and reach out to the colony Altean’s. -The scenes with the OG Paladins is also wonderful. I’m actually very happy that Zarkon got a mini redemption arc. We didn’t ask for it but I’m not unhappy about it. -I still think that Allurance adds nothing of value to the plot to make it better. After watching 11 episodes I still don’t care for it and seeing the plot get closer to the end I think it doesn’t add any significant importance to the plot. Call me Kanye because I’m shrugging at my lack of change in opinion. -I’m disappointed that Matt played such a minor of minor roles in this whole season. Especially when we got some good Colleen & Pidge content, I wanted to see Matt contributing to the family dynamic. -Baby Lotor rejecting Honerva is the sickest burn that’s happened this entire season and I loved that. -I appreciate the tie-in to 80′s Voltron with Chip and Pidge. Little easter eggs like that I can enjoy. -Literally fuck that ending. Pidge’s is the literal only one I did not despise.

just to vent into the void here;

on the previous post about ppl being offput by a fave if mine...I love this character soso much and like also we are a shit ton alike... like I hardcore self project onto him and GET him cuz our personality and frequently our way of speaking and our handling mental illness is spot on the same. Hasnt always been the nicest or healthiest for either of us but being able to fix and reconcile and learn to handle it better through loving action w him made me happy for him and also had a certain level of self comfort because we basically the same bitch lol. And people were saying how they didnt like when he got into his dark place for a bit and it was 'uncomfy' or threw them off the character as a whole or made him 'problematic' or smth and I'm just here like "um ouch :*) " cuz thats me bitch lol and also like that image of the lady holding the grown man and telling ppl off for that character

And like not to make excuses for either of us but like I dont think he was problematic? Maybe cuz I understand on a personal level? Like he did some things that weren't very kind when he was hurting but they weren't that bad and he did it out of what he felt was necessity and apologized later??

And fr like that wasnt even so bad. He self isolated and told the player "Idc if it hurts your feelings, I cant be close with you" and to stop having feelings for him cuz he wasnt worth it. Like?????

And like once during a literal time crunch life or death situation while also in the heat of his darkest place and having had a lot of fuked up shit revealed to him he purposefully broke a little robot that wouldn't be quiet and that was his own property at the time... not the players... because he hadnt given it to the player yet (later he fixes it and gives it as a gift)

He kept tabs on where you were and got worried if he didnt see you because a man had literally just crashed through your window and tried to abduct you and would have succeeded if he hadnt gotten there just in time. And it was clear that none of this was over and theres a target on your back still. He wasn't being controlling or unreasonable he was trying to keep you safe from very real danger.

Yes he told you off for a bit once meeting face to face. Yes he told you your feelings toward him were wrong and he was going to keep blocking you out so stop trying and just move on with your life and forget him. And if you didnt your feelings would be hurt and that's your own fault cuz he told you to back off.

That wasnt nice if him but it was preserving his own vulnerable heart and also your safety. This character is not your average dude. His lifestyle is literally ACTUALLY deadly dangerous. Hes taught time and again he isnt allowed to have friends ir family let alone a lover. He eludes to the fact that they HAVE forced him to uproot everything and drop everyone and change his whole identity more than once. And due to his field of work people who are close to him can be used against him and are in literal life threatening danger by association. The chatroom was supposed to be arms distance enough but he got attached to everyone there anyways. And then you came and he fell for you hard. It wasnt ever supposed to happen that way so he went all weird and denied it out of panic and nessecity... once you were in danger he cared for you so he had to go help you and you met face to face which was WAY more than he ever intended to happen and also exposed him way more to catching deeper and deeper feelings. But here he was desperately trying to do damage control because he knows that people dear to him get hurt or killed. And he loves you.. so as much as it hurts he has to try to keep you away to keep you SAFE

All of this is literal... like not just that he thinks hes a bad person and will hurt you.... like literally you are in real physical danger from being associated with him. And this is evidenced and proved throughout the story. And he blames himself for ever even letting you interact with them but like... the poor boy is human jesus christ he needs connection he needs love. It's a mistake he beats himself up over. And so he tries to damage control and get you to move on and forget about him. It kills him the whole time and its evidenced the whole time that he hates having to do this.

And the whole time the worst he tells you is he doesn't care if you get a hurt heart because you wont leave him alone when he tells you to. (Spoiler alert.. that's a lie! He cares a lot but you need to be safe from involvement in his dangerous life)

And the whole time I noticed its actually even an EXCESSIVE thing he does(it's a nice thing tho) that he does nothing but call you a good and wonderful person who deserves happiness and that needs to be safe and keep living because you are so good and so bright and so kind

But him and his life will never allow your safety, so you cant be with him for your protection.

He never stops with how nice you are... how good you are... how much you need to be in this world and be safe because you add light to the world.

Even when hes being cold.. even when hes telling you off

It's always centered around this.

As well as that hes "a dangerous guy" and 'cant keep anything or anyone close'

Putting himself down and lamenting who and what he is.

The breakthrough comes when you finally see the extent of him and the struggles and danger he faces and still wear him down and tell him unwaveringly that: ok you see and understand the danger fully now and you dont care and you want to stick by him even if its dangerous because you love him. And that he doesnt have to go through life alone anymore cuz you'll be there for him no matter what.

And you have to wrestle away from him the notion of 'no I cant let her do this because I love her and want her to be able to live and be safe. It hurts being alone and id love to be able to be with her but I cant cuz if anything happened to her I'd never forgive myself and also she's so great she deserves a normal life where she doesn't have to worry.'

And you have to lovingly assert to him that he can think of himself too... that he doent have to go through life alone because you know the risks and you decided you want to be with him anyways because you love him. That you understand he wants you safe but that was your decision to make and you choose him no matter the dangers... that you will help him and go through it together as a team.

And he struggles because all his life he had to be the action taker, decision maker, and the protector (especially with his brother in childhood) but slowly comes around to the fact that you will be partners... shouldering the burden together while enriching each others lives. That he doesnt have to be the solitary protector of things and people he has come to love despite not having been supposed to in the first place... cuz hes HUMAN. That someone else has seen his situation and his soul laid bare and still said I love you and I'm going to stand with you through this. And learn to let go and let them in and let them share his burden despite being so afraid of doing so and afraid of what could happen to them as a result. Accepting that they made their decision and its theirs to make. And dealing with the fear as well as the relief and strange joy of FINALLY having someone in his life to love and be loved by and to go through things //together//

Like I just dont get how ppl can like tsunderes and even yanderes but then this character is like "pls no ppl get hurt with me and I care for you so you gotta stay away from me for your own good" and they're like... butthurt that he wasn't all peppy and sweet like usual because his life and everything he held dear was legit crumbling around him??? That someone with his past and his current job/living situation took a bit before he could open up and spill his guts to them??? At a job where.. to quote the game itself 'even an offhanded joke can get you killed' ??? Like yall are entitled to your opinions... and thank god this character is fictional or else that would be hella f-ed up of yall but... oof.

About what happened last Saturday...

I want to talk about what happened last Saturday... about where they took me and how they were acting.

As we came in, they were singing a song about Jesus, as I said yesterday. It was about us having to leave God’s oil for our skin or something.

There were about fifteen boys and girls, telling us (there were three of us).

The others were up from their seats, their eyes closed, feeling the song and singing it. Their palms were open. They really felt the song. They moved to the sound of the song.

I was up, out of respect. I was going to sit down.

It was somewhat weird. At least I felt that way.

At this point, I said to myself, "Where have you put me?”

At the end of the song, the woman who was there, as if she were some kind of "teacher", "priest", or something like that, welcomed us. She saw me, asked my name, and I answered her.

She said something like "Let’s welcome (my name)". Everyone got up, came up to me and gave me two kisses on the cheeks.

I was smiling and kissing back.

Then the woman started talking about something. I didn’t pay much attention. I was looking out for the environment.

In front of me, there was an altar with several musical instruments and on the ceiling; there were two television screens and a couple of speakers.

She was wearing a microphone so she could be heard.

As I was saying, I didn’t know much about what she was talking about because I wasn’t listening much, so...

It took a moment when she said that we were going to read a verse, or a text, rather, about Daniel.

A boy and his friends who were captured by a kingdom to be brought before the king. They were treated with the king’s food and drink, but they rejected him and asked for other things.

Its environment was ampio (textual word of the woman, who I have looked for it in the RAE and does not exist. It exists wicked), bad. His companions were bad, but they decided to promise God that the environment and such would not influence them. In short, they were faithful to themselves and not to God.

The woman screamed once in a while. Idk if her purpose in yelling was to get words in our heads or something, but I think she had that purpose.

It also rather forced them to respond or something like that. I was saying something like, "Come, don’t be afraid to respond," but I was saying it in an aggressive tone.

I interpreted it as a "If we don’t respond, what will it do to us?".

After reading that text, she explained it. Asking questions. Daniel and his friends were religious and they were faithful to God and were not influenced by the environment.

I noticed the atmosphere as very indoctrinated. Very influential for the kids who were there.

She started talking about occultism. We could hide certain things from our parents, but not from God. I repeat I do not remember very well what he said because I did not pay much attention.

Mind you, I remember she said that (I quote) "If we were doing something, we were hiding it, it was wrong".

I don’t believe this because it doesn’t necessarily have to be bad to hide things. For example, I’m bisexual, I hide it before my parents and it’s not bad.

If you’re really hiding that it’s bad, then you have to say it... (Elite Spoiler) Not like Ander. He knew the killer was Polo and he didn’t tell Guzmán... Well, that’s wrong.

Well, back to the environment.

I really thought it was very paternalistic, very indoctrinated.

The occultism shocked me. I couldn’t believe what that lady was saying.

When the occultism was over, she said it wasn’t wrong to be different. We didn’t have to please others to be ourselves (I liked that), but she made reference to God. We had to be faithful to God.

In the end, (Idk if she spoke of anything else), we got up and prayed to God to be faithful and not to be led around.

One of the people there picked up the microphone and started praying too fast, like Eminem in Rap God. I swear, I didn’t understand how he could talk that fast.

Honestly, I didn’t like the atmosphere (I’ve said it several times, but it’s true).

Conclusion: I don’t care how they practice their religion if they are Christians, Muslims, Buddhists (idc), I’m just going to put as a catch that environment as indoctrination and that most were minors.

I am agnostic, that is, I have no belief in any religion because you cannot prove that God or any god of any religion existed.

I wouldn’t go again for that reason.

In addition, so much for my reflection on that Catholic Church.

OKAY i have so much to say about dm3 so here’s my #Thoughts (spoilers) IT’S REALLY REALLY LONG

tl;dr i loved it bc of course i did but if you want my spicy feelse it’s below the cut

OKAY i’m basically doin this off the cuff scene by scene from memory (i’ve seen it twice) but also touching on just. aspects of the movie as i think of them.

i’m gonna start by saying what everyone knows but idc i’ll say it until the end of time: I LOVE FELONIUS GRU SO MUCH OHHH MY GOD HIS EXISTENCE MAKES MY LIFE GOOD

ALSO!!!! RLY MAD AT THE MARKETING OF THIS MOVIE BC IT COMPLETELY /LIES/ ABOUT GRU’S INTENTIONS!!! HE HAS NO INTENTIONS OF GOING BACK TO VILLAINY AT ALL THROUGHOUT THE MOVIE HIS ENTIRE PLAN IS TO STEAL THE DIAMOND BACK FROM BALTHAZAR TO GET HIS+LUCY’S JOBS BACK SO BASICALLY GRU IS PERFECT

oky so i thought the movie was RLY GOOD it basically does everything good that the first two movies do. the girls are in this more than 2 which is a big improvement. 2 may always be my favorite just bc it’s mostly abt grucy but 2 has the biggest flaw of them all (it’s fuckin racist as hell) so at least dm3 isn’t as...flawed.

it’s main problem is that it’s got a looot goin on, which is kinda common for sequels (especially third movies onward) bc they gotta give existing characters that everyone knows/likes plots/development while also establishing/developing new characters. i don’t really mind this so much bc i like all the characters in this movie a lot. i do like some plots/subplots more than others but i personally was never like. overwhelmed. the only subplot i didn’t rly care about was the minions one but i’ll talk abt that later. it’s not terrible tho.

MY main problem (basically the only thing that bothers me when i watch the movie) is how soooo fast paced it is. like, i get that the other movies kind of are too, but i can think of multiple parts of this movie where it just would’ve been better to just. let stuff sit? like okay, i have some examples that i’ll address when i get to them.

okay actually goin scene by scene now

first scene is good it’s basically just the first trailer but longer. i’ve said this before but i had the clownfish part it’s the worst part of the whole movie. but at least it’s only like two seconds. agents grucy is still my reason for existence and i’m kinda salty they never called back to that but i’m still blessed. balthazar is honestly so fuckin funny and Truthfully i liked the part when he blasts (naked) gru away with his keytar way better in the actual movie than in the trailer bc playing jump by van halen during that part was fucking HYSTERICAL.

gru...is so fucking funny and extra. “i don’t want to waste another breath on him. AND ANOTHER THING!!!” honey please chill. also “you’re making me nervous” BABY NO

okaaay buuuuuut the scene after they get fired slays me. “honey, you didn’t have to do that, i know how much you love your job” “well, there are some things i love more” LITERALLY MURDER MY ASS GRUCY IS MY REASON FOR LIVING

also catch my ass overanalyzing what gru says and tracing it back to lucy’s backstory (her parents were killed by supervillains when she was very young for those who don’t spend their free time researching everything about dm canon). she didn’t just love her job bc it was fun, it had significant meaning to her and just. excuse me I’M NOT CRYIN

“we should really tell the girls...can you do it?” girl same

the luau scene isn’t new to me so i don’t have much to say except that I Love My Daughters More Than Life Itself.

OKAY OKAY BUT here’s an example of the too fast paced parts i’m talkin about. when gru tells the girls that he and lucy lost their jobs, i read the jr novel before i saw the movie and i thought that part would be/should’ve been slower. like when he goes “lucy and i were invited to...not work at the avl anymore.” like? it just felt like he’d be a little more hesitant when telling him. just felt like it should’ve had a tiny bit more weight to it.

also “and let’s NOT go to katie’s house anymore.”

listen. i don’t hate the minions catch my ass defending them most of the time but i’m so salty at them in this movie. i get that their purpose is to serve the baddest villain but they’ve been with gru for like 45 YEARS THEY’RE SUPPOSED TO BE LIKE FAMILY!!!!! aso gru has been away from villainy for like more than a year so can they just chill please. these minions ain’t loyal.

I KNEW DR. NEFARIO WAS GONNA BE FROZEN IN CARBONITE BC JR NOVEL BUT I DIDN’T REALIZE HE WAS GONNA BE IN THE EXACT SAME POSE AS HAN SOLO SO I LOST MY SHIT. AND WE NEVER SEE HIM GET UNFROZEN SO IS HE LIKE GONE FOREVER? RIP I GUESS

the take on me scene was soooo goddamn funny

lucy comforting gru saved my life. that scene was actually well paced it wasn’t rushed but it didn’t go on longer than it needed to. a+ scene.

i knew from the trailers that agnes was gonna sell her unicorn but i didn’t know she was gonna look so SAD WHEN SHE DID IT THAT DESTROYED ME

uhhh skippin a few scenes bc whatever. stuff we know from trailers. OH OH but “YOU TOLD ME MY DAD DIED OF DISAPPOINTMENT WHEN I WAS BORN” WHAT THE FUUUUUCK I LAUGHED BUT GOD WHY IS SHE SO MEAN

lucy on the plane tryin to engage with the girls. i’m so sad pls just let her feel like a mom.

gru’s private part

the first scene in dru’s house reminded me that illumination’s lighting is always KILLER that scene was so beautifully lit

DRUUUU INTERACTING WITH THE GIRLS WAS HONESTLY SOOO CUTE?? esp the part with agnes it just felt like genuine kid dialogue. i love. and “SHE’S 12 SHE LOOKS 12 AND SHE WILL ALWAYS BE 12″ oh honey (but same)

OKAY the most bothered i was by the pacing in this movie was when gru was like “lucy can i get a fuckin uhhhh leave i feel like garb” and lucy was like “honey just deal”. that’s another part i read in the jr novel and thought would have more. emotion to it. like it didn’t need to be heavy or anything but i remember feeling really sad when i read gru say “i feel worse than i did when i came here” but in the movie it just kinda flew by? ESPECIALLY bc lucy was immediately like “well, he’s your brother just try to get along with him”. like, okay, you just had a scene of gru venting to lucy about feeling like a failure so you’d think if she found out meeting dru made gru feel worse she’d be like “oh no i’m sorry this isn’t what you were expecting and you feel even worse now” like she doesn’t need to say any of that but even just. a pause and a facial expression can say a lot. just a look of sympathy and then trying to cheer him up or be more optimistic like “well he is your brother and you were so excited to meet him and you only just met like you might eventually be glad you did this” that kinda thing. it was just sooo rushed it felt like nothing when it should’ve felt like Something bc lucy knows gru’s been feeling bad and just. a little sympathy would’ve been nice and still could’ve led to the same conclusion. but shit we gotta save time for the minions musical number i guess.

speaking of that i’m just gonna talk about that subplot in one bullet point. it was the one i cared about the least and had nothing to do with anything really. i’ll admit the singing part is kinda funny bc idk what it is but they always have good song choices for when the minions sing. like make em laugh in the minions movie and now modern major general like yeah those are minion songs yknow. and okay it is kinda funny when they’re in prison bc they just IMMEDIATELY show them and they’re like runnin the place. i figured there’d be some kinda transition but nope they get there and they rule the prison. also the first class/coach separation in the plane was funny but i have to wonder what dictates whether a minion ends in first class or coach. but yeah like i said i don’t really caaaaare and i’m salty over the minions leavin gru anyway so fuck em.

OH OH OH BUT THE PART WHERE MEL MISSES GRU AND IS REMEMBERING GOOD TIMES WITH HIM LITERALLY MADE ME CRY GRU IS SUCH AN ANGEL!!!!! THAT WAS ONE OF MY FAVE SCENES

okay rest of the movie. god this is so long i’m so sorry but i have SO MUCH TO SAY.

i don’t have much to say abt the scenes with gru and dru except i like them and i like their interactions. i didn’t think i’d like dru as much as i did tho i do see how people could find him annoying. i guess i’m just like. well i’m lucy and he’s part of my family so yes i love him.

BAR NONE THE FUNNIEST AND JUST MOST CHARMING SCENE IN THE WHOLE MOVIE WAS GRU AND DRU PRETENDING TO BE EACH OTHER. everything about that scene gives me life. it was sooo genuine and natural like when they couldn’t keep it up and just burst out laughing. they’re adorable i love my husband and my brother-in-law they’re such children. i just love that it was gru’s idea bc you know when he was thinkin about twin stuff on the plane ride there he was like ‘omg what if we switched places and pretended to be each other to fool ppl omg that’s a twin thing’ but it was so obvious bc kids can get away with that but they’re in their fuckin 50s you fools.

THAT REMINDS ME steve carell was honestly so good in this movie. like he’s always good as gru but he was rly good as dru too like obviously they sounded similar but i was never watching it and thinking “oh this is steve carell talking to himself” like he voiced both characters well and obvs they had different personalities and that rly came through and just. i love you sexy grey hair steve carell.

scene with gru and agnes was so damn pure just. everything i want out of a scene with gru and agnes. thank u illumination for my life.

gonna talk abt the agnes subplot in one bullet point bc there’s not much to it. basically i love my daughter, she’s an angel, and i like that we just. have a goat now. also another animation highlight in the scene where she and edith are in the forest looking for the unicorn. that forest was gorgeous. and again, beautifully lit.

i don’t ship druthazar (sorry dm fandom) but i still leaned over to david when dru was sitting on balthzar’s bed and i whispered “that’s not the last time he was in balthzar’s bed” bc i‘m funny

also how did balthazar perfectly mimic lucy’s voice? when he was disguised as the museum guy it was clearly trey parker doing another south park voice but WHATEVER

while i’m thinkin abt it trey parker was fine as balthazar i guess like he was funny but i used to watch a looot of south park so i would so often just her the south park in his voice and i was like Alright

THE CLIMAX OF THIS MOVIE MURDERED MY ASS!!!!! i looooove this movie’s climax it’s easily the best of the dm franchise. i never wanted to murder balthazar with my bare hands more than when he left the girls for dead and tried to kill an unconscious gru with a giant lazer. i was SHOOKETH. lucy jumpin across the giant bubble gum...balls or whatever to save the girls was the BEST SHIT. dru saving gru was so good i’m so proud of him...love my brother-in-law. and the dance fight with gru and balthazar SAVED!!! CINEMA!!! i was screamin oh my god..i know y’all know i love gru with everything i am but y’all he’s SO GOOD IN THE CLIMAX OF THIS MOVIE

as lucy wilde, i can confirm that after i ran up and hugged gru i was covering his face with red lipstick and also being like “balthazar’s dead right? like not just caught, fucking DEAD? RIGHT??” he either lied to assuage me or I Found A Way

SO IN SUMMARY hi i’m lucy wilde, and my husband and daughters are absolutely everything to me. as a viewer balthazar is the most entertaining dm villain bar none (overkills excluded obvs), but as lucy wilde i hope he fucking dies for trying to kill my family. dru is a good brother-in-law and is also a gay icon. this movie came out in pride month for a reason. dru (a gay male) and lucy (a pan woman) are true mlm/wlw solidarity.

its time for another one of muse's semi-regular gender crisis posts!!!!

this is a mess but idc

like every time i try and figure out what i am i just. help? bc i try and think well, have i always been this way and didn't realise it? (like all those posts about thinking back and realising how fucking gay you were all along and its so obvious now you think about it) but like.

argument: as a kid i was always tomboyish. always played with boys, got on with them better. once got told it was clear i belonged with them bc i must have been a boy in a past life and that felt good.

counter argument: i played with girls and mixed gender groups too, esp. when the play was imaginative, not just tag, or sitting around talking, or kiss chase (which. what bullshit game was that did any other schools have that? also that was the beginning of my realisation that i Wasn't Pretty bc no one ever wanted to catch me. i mean they werent wrong i was a weird lookin kid)

so was it a 'i really belong with boys bc im closer to one/am more of one' thing or a baby internalised misogny thing where the girls weren't encouraged as much to rough, imaginative type play and thus i didn't engage with or connect with them?

(can you even have interalised misogyny when you're like. 7?)

argument: i was again friends more with boys in secondary school, always one of the guys, more comfortable in that environment.

counter argument: but! again bc they shared my more 'nerdy' interests, and 'other girls' which i was 'not like' were more 'girly'. but that's society right? so it cant have been a gender thing bc i was friends with the few girls who were openly nerdy too?

(the point i keep circling back to is: was any of my youth 'evidence' of a vaguely trans narrative or was it all just variations on a theme of internal and external misogyny?)

college & uni - when i felt the LEAST connected to my classmates. spoiler: the time when my classes were majority female for the first time. but was i just being an anti-social nerd? (i went to rp societies (AGAIN THERE'S THE IMAGINATIVE PLAY CONNECTION) which were, ofc, majority male, bc d&d and larp are still HUGELY male dominated spaces). and i felt more at home there.

bc of dudes? or imaginative escapism?

i just.

i know the answer is you're supposed to just 'know' that you are your gender, whatever that might be. and it should be that, right? the way i know im bi?

(but i always get paranoid about that too, bc am i REALLY bi or am i just attracted to ladies bc media pushes a very attractive-ladies-you-should-be-attracted-to kind of stance? am i bi bc the world is constantly shoving lady-attraction in my face or am i actually attracted to ladies? the cons of having no close straight girl friends: i cant ask them if they ever watched music videos to see the half naked girls when they were a kid.)

i just want a litmus test. i hate not knowing. i hate being 'questioning'. i just want to know. i dont want to declare and then trick myself into that being my identity.

(and then the brain goblin starts up again with: 'you're only thinking you are THIS bc you watch a lot of trans/gnc youtubers now. remember when you watched a lot of gamers and wanted to make games? or watched a lot of vloggers and wanted to be a youtuber? THIS IS THAT ALL OVER AGAIN ONLY WORSE BC YOU'RE A TRANSTRENDER)

and i can remember being comfortable being seen as female, i think? or at least being fine dressing feminine and being ~sexy~ but now i cant. do it? i feel weird putting on a dress, i feel weird when my breasts are obvious.

i feel fine naked. clothes are the problem.

i know (mostly) that im not a boy. like thats fairly certain. i dont have any huge amounts of dysphoria or anything. im fortunate enough to be small chested so i wont ever know if breasts are really a big issue for me. i could care less about my genitalia.

can gender just. not be a thing please. i dont want to deal with it. im opting out.
