No screenshots but a lil post about what i’ve been playing since thats what I revamped this sideblog to be!!

Last night I played through Red Trees which is such a charming short little RPG maker game!! Very chill with a side of spooky and helped me feel better after a rough day :)

I also FINALLY got around to finishing the demo for Tynk! And The Final Phonorecord earlier today, which I’ve been following the development of for a while now!! Insanely charming little game with such a good art style and addicting soundtrack. I can already tell it’s going to be among my favourite games when the full release comes!!

Ok good day

No but for real ever since like 5th grade, (i was around 11???) i remember finding his story after very unmonitored internet access through DA (i was and still am addicted to DA) and after reading it, it was like, wow. Okay- thats really relatable. I struggled with severe family issues with the same problem of alcohol and gambling, along with also losing a sibling. I went through severe bullying and everything else what not, not to make it about me or anything but i didn't have much of an outlet at all, i never got into anime, fashion(basic fashion), never had many friends irl. I was already 'in the fandom' but didn't know much about him til i genuinely sat down and found it on accident while searching fandom tags. (back when kastoway actually posted there still)

I would literally stalk the acc man it was BAD. i always used him to vent and as an outlet, i loved the art style and my art would occasionally be influenced by it unconsciously. I would write and roleplay a ton and eventually developed my own take and interpretation. I find tons of comfort in anti-hero like characters and this fandom has been the only thing i ever felt welcomed in. And the only thing i seem to like as i am still not into much else but horror and cosplay. I wish i was my age now (19) back when the fandom was really booming. Where the nostalgic styles were around and the 'cringey' lol ask blogs (i would've been doing one dgmw)

I would've been a big hit back then but now its just harder to be known. (not that its my main purpose i just wonder how far i would've gotten when this fandom was more alive)

Moral of story, I've always related to him, i mean the guy quite literally gave me a reason to keep going? He inspires my aesthetic, my career (story making, film and writing) honestly if it wasn't for me stumbling across him..tbh I'd probably be normal LMAO but i would've taken a different route with my art and writing if...At all? He kinda kept me a reason to do everything so.

#inl1997 au — This is where I post my more relevant posts for my Deltarune au called “It’s No Longer 1997”. It’s a canon-adjacent au that’s an interpretation of Jevil and Spamton’s backstories, and tries to use canon rules (and extensions/headcanons of them) thats been shown so far in ch. 1 and 2 (I say “try” because Im just one person, so I may occasionally make mistakes). As I continue to study the deltarune lore some information in this au is bound to change as I get different ideas, so some posts in this tag may be outdated; Ive decided to keep them up to show my growth, though. Also, I realize a lot of the post in these tags are art posts — that’s because I personally find it easier to express my ideas through art than writing (I apologize if some posts dont make sense cuz of that). Btw, if you like my spamton angst content, this is where most of that stuff should be lol

#afttp au — This is for my other au called “Adds for the Therapeutic,” a post-ch. 2 au about Spamton (or Tonnie, as I sometimes call him) moving in with the addisons in Castle Town (on his own accord) and getting group therapy with them as well as individual therapy. hii i draw and post on instagram but have been thinking ab posting on tumblr from now on, just wanted to ask if you have any advice andddd idk do you like it here?

i love it here!! but i think it really depends on who you are as an artist. for me having others enjoy my art & talk to me is really important bc it encourages & inspires me to keep going. i dont get much interaction on insta and i find it harder to achieve the same sense of community that we have here.

i also love being able to directly support n boost others posts by reblogging (on multiple blogs even). i dont think its the same on insta. and tagging systems help tremendously! people can leave their thoughts n little notes of love .. its just so much better than insta. when it comes to numbers i have a feeling its easier to build up an audience on insta than tumble (esp if ur subject matter is currently relevant to societies interests)

it cld just be that im bad at being an artist on insta (true) but i rlly enjoy the community here. i think theres a wider range of content on tmblr than insta: shitposts, art, fic, textposts, graphics, gifs etc. and i like that we can decorate our little blogs n organise posts w the tag system hehe

any advice i have…. hm…. use lots of tags on ur art, interact with similar posts, support/boost others, involve urself in the community. and i think most importantly: don’t behave as if being an artist makes u any better from ‘regular’ fans (bc we’re not). i think the key is being kind to everyone and in turn they’ll be kind to u. keep ur blog/posts positive bc theres so much negativity on here & ive come across art ive loved but seen the creator engages in a lot of discourse on their blog so chosen to stay away.

i have been scrolling through your pk tag on your art blog like theres no tomorrow and i came across your hk dragon au (which i absolutely ADORE) and i was wondering about your process for drawing dragon type wings? i have a character that has mostly dragon (webbed) wings and i can never get a pose that feels good and natural outside of a natural raised/resting position

:D thank you! The dragon AU still holds my favorite character design out of all my aus and its half-dragon hornet and her badass helmet (also holy shit your icon)

As to drawing dragon wings-- I'm so used to drawing them that I actually have to pick apart my process to give a satisfactory answer thats not "just draw and get gud"

I think I can split up my process into two parts.

1: Your typical webbed dragon wing is just an extra pair of arms with reaaaally long fingers. The range of motion your arms have is the same the wings have, so if you want to visualize a cool pose, don't stop yourself from flaring out your arms like a flaming sky lizard

you kinda have to be comfortable with drawing arms and hands in funky positions

2: Accept that you're not going to see all of the wing in certain positions. Once you get past that its easier to draw them in different poses

Like with this one, the dragon's left wing is mainly flat towards the viewer and a lot of feathery detail is cut off, whereas you can still see everything on the right wing

Here's another example of not drawing the majority of a dragon's wing but you still recognize it as a wing.

I can see if i can muster up the energy for a small tutorial but honestly thats a real toss up xD I hope that this is at least a lil helpful!

before surgery i was indifferent to if i wanted to keep my nipples or not, so i drew this as a fun thought on what i would do if i lost them anyway.

if you are recovering from top surgery and look at your nipple and think 'oh fuck its going to fall off' then good news! they won't. that's just what a healing nipple looks like. trust me bro, i've been there.

i thought my scars would look like the middle one when i drew this but they ended up not connected in the middle and also higher and more noticable on the armpits. i did keep my nipples however. different size than they used to be but i never really cared about my nipple size anyway.

did end up getting this as a print for the art festival i did in september, and people did buy this one so im counting as a win! putting it on redbubble now, so if anyone still wants this as a print then it’ll be there. i really need to get around to opening that etsy huh.

My #1 post of 2022

Thinkin bout a merlin au where sorcerers get caught and trapped a la genie in a bottle and merlin was trapped by uther years ago and arthur comes across the bottle or lamp or whatever he's caught in and merlin pops out snarky and annoyed like yeah yeah three wishes or whatever but arthur has been so conditioned to see magic as evil that he is like no I am not making any wishes get away demon spawn and like whatever is keeping them in the bottle makes them only visible to the one that summoned them so nobody else can see merlin and arthur is half convinced he's going crazy and this merlin weirdo won't leave him alone and says he can't leave until he makes these wishes but he is not listening because magic is evil and he knows making a wish will corrupt him. But then of course merlin starts seeing the potential of arthur and guiding him to like do the right thing and they start becoming reluctant friends and merlin didn't talk about the whole uther imprisoning him thing because he sort of assumed arthur knew all about that and it's a bit of a sensitive subject but then as they get closer and maybe merlin instinctively saves arthur with his magic (without being asked or using the wishes) and then he tells arthur about it and arthur is like thats horrible I want to fix this and he's like I should use my wishes for that and like wishes idk some things to help magic and Camelot and then he has one wish left and he's like im gonna wish you free but then arthur gets hurt badly enough that merlins magic can't heal it unless he wishes it and begs arthur to use his last wish to save his own life instead of using it to free merlin and arthur is like uh uh nope and pulls a tangled and frees merlin and he's like suddenly visible and arthur dies but merlin is emrys and super powerful and without the bindings he like saves arthurs life with like a magic kiss because merthur rights lol and it's great and emotional and uther is so shocked he has a heart attack and dies the end

Rn I'm in my last year of art uni and I've been working on a small comic book for the past few months, tho im actually really shy to Post my art so thats y theres like nothing ab it anywhere yet. It a little romance story mainly focusing on a lesbian bar and a relationship between my ocs Robin and Vic! Its rlly slow paced but im trying to write it in a way that allows me to speak of workplace inequality, bar culture, butchfem culture, friendship and loss and community and being lonely and getting used to not being lonely anymore.

Tbh its been so hard to develop it since its like my first work that of this size (it has like 32 pages) and rn i have done 12 pages out of it that consists in the meetup of the two characters and the relationship building between them, and I gotta start thinkin from now How i want to post this up on the internet and where, cuz i rlly would want ppl to see it but idk what would b the best way to go ab it... so if someone that read till here has some tips or smth feel free to tell! I would love a little help on that part

okay im gonna try and put this in the most objective non-guilt-trippy terms as possible but i think the “reblogging content to support content creators” discussion gets a little heated sometimes and it makes it seem more complicated than it actually is

i know some people say “if you dont reblog content you’ll get less content” and thats true but sometimes the post come across as like, artists or writers holding content hostage but 99% of the time thats not whats happening

notes are just motivating. its not really any deeper than that.

likes feel kinda nice. reblogs feel really nice. reblogs with tags or comments feel EXCELLENT

you make a thing, and you post it, and you see that number go up and you think “wow people liked my thing. i did a good job. this makes me happy and when im happy i wanna make more art”

like. thats it.

like arent totally useless, they do make the number go up, but they only make the number go up once. reblogs can make it go up many more times, because more people see it and then they can like or reblog it to

like. its not really some grand moral dillemma. no ones trying to manipulate you into putting content on your blog you dont want to (though in the case of “its not my blogs content” i highly recommend organizing your interests into sideblogs, its actually great)

but. content creators are people, and people like to be validated and told they did a good job. when they feel like they did a good job, theyre happy and it motivates them to make more content.

conversely when things get only a few notes, most of which are likes, that is demotivating, because the content creator feels like people dont like it very much, and thus generally make less content

thats all there is to it. its really not super deep its just... we all have little children inside us, who drew a picture and brought it to our family. do you want them to say “its nice” and put it in a drawer, or do you want them to put it on the fridge for other people to see?

A kind blog bythe name @erin-gilberts has given this reblog with information and seems to cleared up the air about the blog below. I'll do my best to summary but please check the reblog from Erin-gilberts as it's much worded better.

Overall, the person who seems to own the blog is a mirror, and the drawn art is a lean to family, the lady in these videos isnt associated with the blog either and seems to be famous for reactions (but isnt reacting to the stolen art). The photoshops may be due to strange shipping with themselves with these characters but uses young actors to convey that. Do not send hate this persons way as they are just a minor! Just block if you're uncomfortable, do not harass them.

I wanna apologies if I caused any panic or hate sent this persons way, I am also a minor and was very shocked at what i found and rushed a bit to conclusions. Though adult-kid shipping is no joke nor need to be pushed aside here it's good at least this isn't an adult running this account. Again a great thank you for those who did help out a bit with translations and dig work.

Now it doesnt sound bad on paper, but when I looked deeper into this blogs context, I found this.

This is fucking gross, and if it's a joke, it's not funny. As a minor myslef and those on here, this is gross and uncomfortable. Looking more into this persons context it's all adult with kids, not as bad as post above but considering it, i get really bad undertones.

They have some werid intrest with Russel and Charlie, and maybe Ray and Kevin. They do steal content for video from others as Spengy, Stanzy, Dioinabag, and inculed me and more, using our pictures in videos of a recurring women reacting to them and speaking I belive Spanish, I'm asumming the women is the person who owns the blog, but I could be wrong.

I dont say we send this perosn death threats nor horrible things but block and report them at best. I'm uncomfortable with the feel these edits give me, they are red flags so I will be blocking as stated before.
