Game Journal #1

No screenshots but a lil post about what i’ve been playing since thats what I revamped this sideblog to be!!

Last night I played through Red Trees which is such a charming short little RPG maker game!! Very chill with a side of spooky and helped me feel better after a rough day :)

I also FINALLY got around to finishing the demo for Tynk! And The Final Phonorecord earlier today, which I’ve been following the development of for a while now!! Insanely charming little game with such a good art style and addicting soundtrack. I can already tell it’s going to be among my favourite games when the full release comes!!

I can't believe half of you voted for my least favourite option!! the second top two options are tied but only because i voted for one of them just to see the results before the poll closed so weirdlittlegames takes the true second place spot. I'll go with that one!

Trying to revamp this sideblog into less of just a (almost exclusively Viva Pinata) screenshot blog and more into a general gaming sideblog and want a new url to reflect that! I'm super indecisive though so a lil help would be great :)

One of the few roms ive gotten working on my softmodded 3DS with my limited SD card space is Magician’s Quest. I haven’t played much of it yet but I’m SO charmed by it, the vibe is so great

figure this might be of interest to folks here, a mutual of mine who doesnt have tumblr (i believe) just released a super handy extension called Indie Wiki Buddy. does a lot more than just redirects, itll filter out search results and add a banner to fandom wikis youre viewing, and it goes hand-in-hand with Breezewiki if you're already using it :)

I softmodded my 3DS over christmas following this guide. it was a little spooky seeing my 3DS in hacking mode but now i can play some roms directly on my 3DS and I have a custom Sonic OVA theme now! B)

#unfortunately my SD card doesn’t have much storage on it so i only got a couple roms working :’) #but once i get a better one… i will be unstoppable #my ultimate goal is to figure out how to transfer my aai2 save file from my emulator to my 3DS and finish the game on console #but everything i tried hasn’t worked :( #its prob the SD card space issue #one day tho #3ds homebrew #3ds hacking #3ds

EDIT: Another Fandom Wiki alternative I’ve found is NeoWikis on NeoSeeker. I won’t go through and list them all but there’s a huge range of wikis for various media on there and seems to be a decent alternative to Fandom. I personally was most excited to spot the Professor Layton Wiki! Definitely worth looking through the list

There's also Breeze Wiki which allows you to view Fandom hosted wikis without all of Fandom's extra nonsense! Extremely useful for if there isn't an independent wiki for what you're looking for and you don't want to deal with Fandom as it usually.

EDIT: Going hand-in-hand with Breeze Wiki is the browser extension Indie Wiki Buddy! Which will automatically let you know when you visit a Fandom hosted wiki if there’s a relevant independent wiki alternative, focusing on ones as complete as the Fandom wiki itself. It also supports Breeze Wiki and the settings are pretty customisable!!

Trying to revamp this sideblog into less of just a (almost exclusively Viva Pinata) screenshot blog and more into a general gaming sideblog and want a new url to reflect that! I'm super indecisive though so a lil help would be great :)
