it's been awhile since I've worked on this project! I've had this verse finished for months but didn't want to post it on its own, and instead wait until the whole thing is strung together to show the final result all at once. #kirby #kirbear #plushies #daily kirby #my art #digital #hal laboratory #nintendo #I've been slowly repairing my baby blanket #unpicking all the decades of old stitches and everything. #she's actually in incredibly good shape for her age #but her edges are giving out #so I unpicked the old hems and put a border on her #and darned the corner that was too destroyed to reach the border #I still have to unpick and redarn the hole torn by my childhood cat #(weird little fun fact: my baby blanket is genderfluid for some reason?) #(right now she is her and she has been her in the past but she has also been him in the past.) #it's a lot of work because I have to finish whole chunks at once so she's stable enough to sleep with at night #I can't leave big raw vulnerable edges just because I'm tired #but it's mostly done now #(and yes I took a couple little videos of her old repairs because they were a part of her. especially the oldest ones.) #there's lots of people who do stuffed animal restoration and stuff but I haven't found anyone that does baby blankets :( #so I'll just learn to do it myself.

Ride Kamens is still doing prerelease marketing and isn't out yet; it's set for "early summer 2024", so a bit yet to go! similar to Twst, it's a mobile game about anime boys loosely based on an existing franchise (Kamen Rider), although it seems like it's going to be more standalone/won't require familiarity with Rider going in.

the (very) basic premise is that your player character has just taken over their late father's role as a secret agent, supporting the city's superheroes by running a secret base disguised as a cafe (plus you have a personal butler for some reason) (the reason is because it's amazing). you also have to help the heroes regain their lost memories, and it looks like it'll have a bit of a route/choice aspect there (not romance, just different endings to the character episodes depending on what you do). the details are kinda hard to tell at this point but the characters seem like a really fun bunch; there's definitely big "idiots with emotional problems" energy which I am extremely into.

all the official info is in Japanese only at the moment, but here's the website and the ride_kamens twitter! (though the twitter is sort of overtaken by posts about the AnimeJapan exhibit right now, whoops.) and I believe some people are already planning on doing translations for it too? lots to look forward to! :D

i'm using krita, which is a free art program :) it's got an animation feature that covers what i'd consider all the essentials [layers, onionskin, timelines, etc.]... anddd you can export the animation straight from krita so that's a big plus to me who doesn't have a proper editing software

it's not perfect perse [the animation playback is a bit laggy and the audio feature is sadly busted] but i think it's still really good for being free so i'd suggest trying it out!

and sorry if you're a mobile person i really don't know anything good for phones :')

#also should note - krita isn't my usual art software i only use it for animation #my usual art software is a 12 year old version of adobe elements which is a bit of an odd choice for drawing i know #i think it came with my first drawing tablet so i've been using it since i was 9 and i keep trying new things but i keep coming back #like i'm trying clip studio but fellas i don't think it's going to stick #so uh. yeah. don't ask me about my usual art program because i think i'm the only person using what i use in this day and age #and i can't in good conscience recommend an adobe product because. yeah #ask response

So anyway- long time no see~! I have now read @naffeclipse‘s whole Sleuth Jesters saga and love it and have some ideas and doodles I want to share!

Let’s start with this depiction of a scene that happened in chapter 7: What’s Due and Dead. Yes this is exactly what happned- no I’m not exaggerating maybe a little. I just could not stop cackling when this thought popped into my head, so here it is in reality! 

I used @sinnabee‘s mob boss Eclipse design (because it’s *chef’s kiss!*), this lovely detective AU belongs to @starlightcloudbaby and the story is of course made by @naffeclipse! Hope y’all like my shenanigans~!
