Tumblr media
“Rami! Where’s the champagne?” Lucy called out as she entered the house. You followed right behind her, shaking your head in disbelief at how much this girl loves her champagne.
“Aren’t you supposed to ask about me first then the champagne? I’m so hurt,” Rami jokingly puts his hand on his chest pretending he’s in pain.
“Hmm, I think champagne wins at this moment, Rami,” you laughed, giving him a quick hug as Rami gives you another look pretending he is offended.
“Okay, alright, I get it, girls just wanna have fun,” he points at the counter behind the couch, “there’s a bottle right there.”
“Thank you, love,” Lucy utters before giving Rami a kiss on the corner of his lips.
You start walking to the counter, grabbing two glasses and pouring some champagne for both you and Lucy. The blonde takes one glass from you and clinks it with yours.
You were all celebrating the last day of shooting by having a mini party at Rami’s house as there will be a huger, club party the next day that involved the entire movie team. You were the assistant director of the movie, and you had a very close friendship with the boys and Lucy.
“Cheers, dear.”
“Cheers!”
You both start sipping on the champagne, having a little chat, and then you hear noises growing louder from the living room.
“God, these boys. Wanna go see what they’re up to?” Lucy asks, lightly placing her hand on your arm.
“Sure! I guess we’ll need that with us, too,” you answered, grabbing the bottle of champagne. You automatically felt you heart beat a little faster when you heard Ben’s laugh ring out throughout the house.
“Well, Ben sounds like he’s having a good time for sure,” she shakes her head, giggling at the insane laughter that has been continuing for a while now.
You felt yourself getting nervous, but you managed to speak, “Yeah, god knows what’s going on in there.”
Both of you slowly started walking to the living room, and Lucy decided to drop the bomb, “So, Ben, huh?”
“Wh-what about Ben, Lucy?” you were getting absolutely flustered.
Am I THAT obvious? Shit, what if he notices? What if he already noticed?
“Oh, nothing. Nothing at all,” she gave you a sly smirk, but you tried to ignore it so that you don’t start overthinking the thoughts that started to cloud your mind.
“Yeah, nothing,” you emphasized, and carried on as you entered the living room, “except that he is laughing like an utter lunatic.”
There they were in the living room: Joe, Gwilym, Rami, and Ben.
They all stopped laughing and froze, as if you and Lucy caught them amidst a crime. You could immediately tell what was making them laugh like that.
Joe was standing with a mouthful of beer, judging by the half empty bottle of beer on the table in front of him, while Gwilym was trying to seduce him with corny pickup lines. Joe was obviously trying to win by not laughing and spraying the place with beer. Ben and Rami were intensely watching the pickup lines unfold, laughing louder and louder in hopes of tempting Joe to laugh.
Lucy plopped down on the sofa next to Rami, resting her head on his shoulder. You looked around to find that Ben was sitting alone on a couch, and he motioned with his hand for you to sit next to him.
“(Y/N), sit next to Ben. Don’t worry, he doesn’t bite,” Rami paused, “unless you want him to, of course.” You saw Joe trying so hard to suppress his laughter after Rami said his statement.
“Rami, I think you might’ve had a little bit too much wine,” you tried to stay calm, taking a seat next to Ben, whose face was turning a little bit red.
“Hey, you” Ben said softly, giving you a smile that made butterflies erupt in your stomach.
“Hello there,” you said in a mellow tone, but your little moment with Ben was interrupted by a pickup line from Gwilym.
“Hey, Joe, are you Roger’s drums? Because I’d bang you all night long,” Gwilym started doing finger gun moves, attempting to increase the impact. Rami and Lucy were laughing like crazy at this point, and you couldn’t help but burst out in laughter as well at the cheesiness.
“Seriously, Joe? I can’t believe you’re holding it in,” Lucy indicated, pouring herself another glass of champagne.
The pickup line made Ben groan in frustration and say, “I think that would work on me rather than on Joe, Gwilym.”
“Hm, okay wait, wait,” Gwilym put his hands in his pockets in a smug manner, and got his face close to Joe’s ear. He coughed a little bit before dropping his next pickup line: “So, what’s your number, cucumber?”
And with that, Joe proceeded to spray everyone withbeer. He tried to stop it from happening, but he was going to choke if he tried to drink it with all the laughter occurring. Gwilym ran towards the balcony, while Lucy hid in Rami’s arms attempting to avoid the beer.
As if by instinct, Ben engulfed you under his hoodie. You were so shocked by the sudden move, but it felt so good being so close to Ben. You feel his hands securing your head under the hoodie, and moving to engulf you in what seemed like a protective hug. You could feel the warmth of his body on your cheeks as his cologne took your breath away. Although it was very loud in that room, you felt like time has stopped in these few seconds.
Well, at least like that they won’t be able to see how much I’m blushing because I sure as hell am.
Eventually, you took Joe’s laugh as an indication that there was no beer in his mouth anymore and that it’s safe to come out of Ben’s hoodie. You got out, and the first thing your eyes landed on were Ben’s dreamy green ones that were glowing with happiness for some odd reason.
You tried to hide your flustered state by talking, “Okay, who came up with this nasty idea?”
“It’s me,” Joe raised his hand in defeat.
“So, not only are you masochist for putting yourself through this, but you’re also a sadist for making us all get sprayed with beer that was in your mouth? Boy, you have some issues,” you get up and give him a small punch on the arm.
“You know I’m here if you ever need to talk about any of your issues, right, Joe?” Ben said sarcastically, putting an arm around Joe.
“I think it would be more appropriate if we talk about YOUR issues, Benny,” Joe raises his eyebrows at Ben, and smiling widely at him. Ben gave him a ‘watch it’ look as he shifted uneasily in his place. You hear Gwilym chant an “ohohohoho” as he came back from the balcony, claiming his victory for making Joe laugh.
“Seriously, the drum banging one doesn’t get you laughing and the cucumber one does? So disappointed,” Lucy pinched the bridge of her nose, disapproving of Joe’s choices.
“Okay, kids, we need to start preparing the snacks for tonight or we’ll get drunk rather quickly,” Rami starts walking towards the kitchen, “Ben, (Y/N), you guys go set up the table in the balcony.”
“Yes, sir,” Ben said, extending his arm to you, “Shall we?”
“We shall,” you chuckled taking Ben’s arm.
The state of you both has always been confusing. You have always had feelings for him, ever since you’ve known him. However, your friendship was so beautiful and you were horrified that it would be ruined if you made him aware of your feelings. You didn’t even want to risk any of the guys and Lucy hinting to him about anything, so you kept your feelings to yourself only. Yet, you couldn’t help but have moments where you felt like Ben had something for you as well, but you’d remember that he is a really sweet guy in general, so it’s probably nothing special.
All you knew now was that your feelings were getting too much to handle, so you were afraid of crossing that line you drew for yourself.
As you two walked into the balcony, you grabbed the bags full of plastic plates and cups while Ben placed a tablecloth on the table. The silence between you both was killing you, but at the same time you wanted him to start a convo.
As you handed him the bag full of plastic cutlery, your fingers brushed against his, making you pull away quickly. Your reaction made Ben a little surprised, but he decided to brush it off.
“You should wear that dress more often, looks really good on you,” Ben muttered, his eyes lingering on your figure.
“Oh, I’m usually not a dress person, but this one is particularly comfortable. Thank you, Ben,” you smiled, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear.
“By the way, I’m sorry if I took you by surprise when I took you under my hoodie-,”
“Oh no no it’s ok-”
“I just wanted to prot-”
“Yeah of course I underst-”
You both paused at the same time, noticing that you kept cutting each other off. Ben was standing pretty close to you, and you both started laughing a little nervously at the confusion.
“Sorry,” you said in unison, making you both laugh a little more again. You felt your heart jump with happiness as you just stood there in the middle of the balcony, laughing with the man that stole your heart as the beautiful, starry night sky surrounded you. It felt like a dream.
As your laughter quieted down, a little frown took over Ben’s lips. You intently looked at his face, admiring him yet wondering what made him frown all of a sudden.
“Is something wrong, Ben?” you carefully asked, a feeling of worry replacing the happiness that was in your heart only minutes ago.
He shook his head, his eyes not leaving yours, “No, the complete opposite, (Y/N). For the first time in so long, something feels so right.”
“And what is that?” you softly spoke.
With that, Ben placed his hand on one side of your face. The touch sent shivers down your spine, but what came next sent electrifying sensations throughout your whole body. His lips were suddenly placed between yours, and his other hand took yours as your fingers perfectly intertwined with his. With your free hand, you lightly tugged at his hoodie, pulling him closer to you. The mixture of shock, surprise, and the impact of Ben’s kiss were enough to take your breath away, causing you to end the kiss.
He rest his forehead on yours, lifting your hand up to his lips and giving it what could possibly be the softest kiss ever. You watched as his golden curls slightly fell on his face, tempting you to brush them back with your other hand. As you did, Ben separated his lips from your hand, and finally started talking.
“If you couldn’t tell by now, (Y/N), I have feelings for you. A lot of them, actually,” he grinned in a very cute way, suddenly looking like a little boy confessing his feelings.
“Well, if you couldn’t tell either, I have a lot of feelings for you, too,” you giggled, twirling a little bit in your dress that he liked so much.
“WELL, DARLINGS. EVERYONE COULD TELL EXCEPT THE BOTH OF YOU.”
“SO WHEN IS THE FUCKING WEDDING?”
“IT’S ABOUT TIME, DUMBASSES.”
Your romantic moment was put to an end when the boys and Lucy broke into the balcony, jumping like maniacs as they clinked their beer-filled cups in cheers.
“Why are we friends with them again?” Ben wrapped his arm around your waist.
“I ask myself that question every day,” you shrugged, “Wait, hold up, what did you mean by everyone could tell?”
“You two were so obvious! But what made it funny is that we all knew you liked him, and we all knew he liked you-,” Joe stared explaining.
“But you two poor souls were so thick and couldn’t tell that you had feelings for each other,” Rami continued.
“Okay, ouch,” (Y/N) you faked getting offended.
“I’m so happy for you, guys! God knows how many times the boys had to stop me from telling you both how you truly felt,” Lucy cheerfully stated, handing you both a cup of beer each.
“Cheers!” Rami raised his cup.
“To new beginnings!” Lucy said, followed by Gwilym and Joe repeating the statement.
“Cheers to us, love,” Ben’s raspy voice whispers in your ear.
“Cheers, dear,” you genuinely smile, planting a sweet kiss on Ben’s cheek.

Sixteen92 Review
Hi everybody, welcome to my Sixteen92 review, where I feel unnecessarily self-conscious about how many times I describe scents as 'perfumey'.
I've been sitting on these for a good couple... Weeks? Months? I don't know, but a fateful weekend came where I took a look at my exceptionally busy Notes file, and felt very sad, so I figured i'd knock a couple reviews off my list. Work through all this shit I still needed to review. And that brings us here! Hooray.
I'll be reviewing Kuro Lolita, You Who Swallowed a Falling Star, New Radio, Hydromancy, Telepathy, Mellifera, Vlad Dracul, Paper Moon, and An Excellent Day for an Exorcism.
Hold onto yer butts, folks, this one gets pretty long, here we go
KURO LOLITA (PERFUME OIL) || Black sandalwood, burning resins, straw, porcelain, delicate lace, wet stone, fog, wind-blown leaves.
This smells like a cold rainy fall day in a small southern gothic town, encompassed by farmland, with cobblestone streets and dotted with tiny run-down churches. Bales of hay are speckled around the area: leftover decorations from autumn festivities that happened a week or so ago.
...Just had to get that outta my system, onto the stuff that matters!
The first thing I get, punching me in the nose as soon as I put it on, is sandalwood and damp hay. It's a very warm, woody, dusty scent, with just a little bit of sweet acridness that makes me think there's a dry/decaying leaf note in this (I haven't double-checked the notes yet, so I only remember some of them), and enough petrichor to put the 'damp' in there. The burning resin note comes out after about 10 minutes of wear, and, boy, it's unmistakable: Sweet, with a kick, and a good amount of burniness to it. It smells dark. Like you just walked into one'a those imaginary churches and they were performing a sordid ritual in there, the chapel overrun with incense and candles.
Another 15 minutes, and the sandalwood fades, the resins mellow out some, and i'm mostly left with the hay and that gentle sweet smell of decay. The final note I smell on the drydown: leaves and cold, wet atmosphere. Really interesting atmospheric, evokes a lot of mental imagery.
tl;dr: Sandalwood at first, followed by burning, incensey, sweet resin that mellows out to hay and a decaying leaves note that is present throughout the whole wear. Dries down to leaves and cold, wet atmosphere.
RATING: 3.5/5. Nice, a very good atmospheric, but I feel like it's bordering overly complex, with some of the notes getting lost in the mix and my nose feeling a bit confused. I also don't know how much i'll want to really wear it.
--
YOU WHO SWALLOWED A FALLING STAR (PERFUME OIL) || Dark stone fruits, glowing embers, night rose, sweet sandalwood, plum blossom.
Oh, smells like rock candy.
So this is sitting on a weird edge for me. See, "stone fruit" (peach) notes tend to not work on me more often than not: they go acrid in this terrible, burning bodily fluid kinda way, and this... This is sitting juuuust on the edge of that. It's sharp and tart and kinda heady, rounded out by that rock-candy sweetness (which i'm 90% certain is frankincense. Source: I have a bag of pure frankincense), and just like... It's thinking about being a burny bile scent. But not quite. Nooot quite. There's a smooth, perfumey floral undercurrent to this, too. Lots of smells goin' on at once.
The drydown is basically lush, smooth, perfumey, rich-as-hell flowers, with a slight sourness to 'em. It's actually very pretty, that rose is killin' it. I don't get the threat of burning bile anymore, or the rock candy. It's a little humid-smelling, too - a great summer night scent.
tl;dr: Bright stone fruit and powdery, rock-candy-like incense which fades to lush, smooth florals.
RATING: 3/5. Well made, but i'm not big on how the top notes play out at all.
--
NEW RADIO (PERFUME OIL) || Vanilla milkshake accord, maraschino cherry, pink lemonade, grass clippings, waffle cone.
So, full disclosure, I had no interest in this scent. I saw it and went, woof, that sounds way too bright and sweet and youthful for me, and passed it over time and time again. I ended up getting it as a free sample when I ordered some of those Sea Salt Hair Sprays, and... Wow. I like it way, way more than I thought I would.
In the bottle, it's... Perfect. It's everything. Rich, foody, smooth vanilla; SUPER bright, almost candied, nice n' tart maraschino cherry (this is the note I was most worried about, too, as I don't like cherries - but this note is perfect). The gentlest edge of sour pink lemonade. A perfect, toasty waffle cone, which is honestly one of my favorite scents... I don't get much grass, but I don't need it. In the bottle, it's the perfect summer scent.
You'll notice I keep saying 'in the bottle'.
It touches down on my skin, and lives in that perfect blissful state for about two seconds, and then, boom. My skin absolutely gobbles up most of those wonderful notes. That bright maraschino cherry? Gone. Pink lemonade? Barely there, just giving a bit of a sour zing. All i'm really left with is vanilla and the faintest hints of that waffle cone note. It's absolutely heartbreaking. Like, it still smells good... But, god, not as good as it could. I might get a scent locket for this, though.
Virtually no sillage, but I can smell that vague warm sweetness on my wrist for a pretty good handful of hours.
tl;dr: A delicious, foody, bright, sweet and warm and toasty summer scent that's a dead-ringer for its notes... That my skin devours instantly, leaving only vanilla, a touch of lemonade, and faint breadiness.
RATING: 3/5. This would be a 5/5 if my skin didn't DEVOUR half of it. RIP, beautiful scent.
--
HYDROMANCY (PERFUME OIL) || Fog, cold violet, lichen, ambroxan, mineral accord, petrichor, glass.
This was recommended to me when I went out and asked people for a scent that makes me smell like a ghost, and honestly, this fits the bill pretty well. It's a pretty specific type of ghost, though: the ghost of a waifish maiden who went down with a sinking ship, who you find, suspended frozen above the water, in the air pocket of an underwater cave that she managed to swim to but ultimately starved to death within.
...ANYWAYS
This smells empty, silky, ethereal, dark in a spooky way, and most importantly, pretty darn oceanic and green. The first thing I smell upon putting it on is the lichen and ambroxan, the former being green, sort of dry-smelling (like lichen that's growing just a foot or so above the water, hasn't touched it in a while, y'know), with that weird tang that lichen can have, and the latter giving a very oceanic sweet-saltiness. The mineral accord and petrichor blend really well with the ambroxan note and it genuinely just ends up smelling like very realistic dank cave ocean water.
And then there's the fog and the glass. The Weird Notes.
The fog is less a scent and more a feeling - it makes the entire scent sort of... Soft and fuzzy. It's what's giving it that silky quality. The glass, you can actually smell, and it... Smells like glass, y'all. Cold and clear and giving off a faint sterile scent, but, it's there. Notably, I can only really detect it if I huff so hard that I become anosmic to the ambroxan and lichen, and it comes out more on the dry-down, but. ...Yeah, it's there. Combined with the fog, it's like... The scent equivalent of looking through a window that's become clouded with condensation. If that makes sense.
This doesn't have a ton of sillage - I can just barely detect it from 3 inches away - but wears very strongly on my wrist.
tl;dr: A realistic ocean water scent made fuzzy and silky by a fog note, with a fascinating, realistic glass note that peeks out on the dry-down.
RATING: 4/5. Too oceanic for me, but well made, and that glass note is WILD.
--
TELEPATHY (PERFUME OIL) || Winter narcissus, tonka bean, immortelle flower, sleet, ozone, white amber.
When I first got this, it was basically just straight sleet for the entire wear, and I wasn't wild about it. It was a very realistic sleet note, mind you, but that's not necessarily a good thing: the scent basically smelled cold, bitter, and a little dirty, which is not at all what I had been expecting from the notes.
The good news is, after considerable rest, it's verrrry different.
I put it on, and for the first minute, it's still that dirty sleet note, but then it softens up and out comes the florals - Light and lush and just a little stereotypically perfumey-smelling. It's still a little dirty, which gives the scent some complexity, and there's a gentle undercurrent of something sugary-sweet underneath the florals. This is more... Elegant smelling than I think I expected it to be. I expected it to be light and femme and kinda... Younger-smelling, but the actual scent smells like something a very refined woman in her 40's or 50's might wear.
Looking at the notes, yeah, basically what i'm smelling. Florals from the narcissus and immortelle, sweetness from the tonka bean and probably the white amber, and atmospheric, colder, dirtier notes from the sleet and ozone.
It's very, very light on me - if I huff it too much I quickly become anosmic, and while I was getting a little bit of sillage while it was wet, I have to have my nose pressed to my wrist on the dry-down.
tl;dr: A delicate, perfumey floral with undertones of cold, wet, dirty atmosphere and gentle sugary sweetness.
RATING: 4.5/5. I like this quite a bit. Has depth, but isn't overly complex, and the florals and sweeter notes are so pretty. I'd wear this to something very professional. Docked half a point for being so light, though.
--
MELLIFERA (PERFUME OIL) || Wildflower Honey Accord (not vegan), Violet, Jasmine Sambac, Vanilla Infused Sugar, Sandalwood.
So, i'm not big on honey scents. Unless the honey is very subtle, it can quickly go super overwhelming and cloying to me. Hex's Papa Legba was downright unbearable with how strong and sweet it was.
Mellifera, though, is not!
I mean, it's very honey forward, don't get me wrong, the honey's basically the star of the show, but it's a different kind of honey. It smells... Clearer. Rather than being overwhelmingly sugary-sweet, it's far more floral, with little pinpricks of something kinda sharp and tart and tingly. It's bordering on being kinda cleaning-supply-ish, but it's not quite there. There might be a citrus note in this? That's what i'm basically getting: Clear, gentle honey with a floral edge, and maybe citrus.
Let's CHECK! THOSE! NOTES
Not a LICK of citrus! Go me. The wildflower honey accord explains the quality of the honey, though, and I bet that sharpness that's a little cleaning-supply-ish is the jasmine. The violets are in there, but they're so well-blended with the other floral notes that I wouldn't be able to identify their trademark Purple Burp smell on a blind sniff. I can recognize them now that I know, but seriously, the other florals balance them out so well.
The wildflower and jasmine pinpricks eventually mellow out to a smooth, bright sweetness - a combination of the vanilla and honey, I imagine. I... Still don't get any sandalwood, which makes me sad, 'cause I love sandalwood. :( My wood-gobbling skin strikes again, I guess.
Virtually no sillage - it wears kinda light on my wrist, and I can only smell it from about an inch away.
tl;dr: A clear, floral honey with pinpricks of sharp jasmine that loses its floral edge on the drydown and simply becomes bright-yet-smooth honey and vanilla.
RATING: 3.7/5. Not bad, but the jasmine is just too sharp for me, and I can't see myself wearing it much.
--
VLAD DRACUL (PERFUME OIL) || Carpathian fir needle, red cedar, black amber, black patchouli, scorched earth, opium, blood musk.
This smells like a cologne for someone who dresses in refined clothes but also feasts upon the entrails of freshly-killed deer, so, I guess the name is apt. It's dirty as hell, but in a kind of bright way: like walking around on a very dry fall day through a forest that's all reds and yellows and dry cracked earth with sparse yellow grass. I get a cool airiness from it, and piney freshness, and d i r t. That scorched earth note ain't playin' around. I'm pretty sure that man-stank smell is the blood musk, which is this sorta... Feral, almost pheromonally sweet smell? But it's not bad or actually stinky, just kinda hanging out under the atmospherics.
On the drydown I get a resinous, very light sweetness, I assume that's the opium and/or the black amber, and the atmospheric notes are still there, most notably that scorched earth, but way subtler. It's warm and smooth and just... Prettier than I expected it to be, given the way it started.
tl;dr: A fall atmospheric that's distinguished by its scorched earth note and a sort of pheromonal, feral musk. Dries down to light resinous sweetness and that scorched earth note.
RATING: 4/5.
--
PAPER MOON (PERFUME OIL) || Soft vanilla musk, benzoin, oakmoss, trailing ivy, peach blossom, rose.
Mmmm, this is delicious. It's so sweet and mellow with the prettiest, smoothest florals. The vanilla musk is the strongest thing in this, humid and sweet, with a super well-blended floral edge. The florals are kinda perfumey-smelling, but the rose doesn't go overly chemical, is just lush and smooth, and the peach blossom is soft and delicate. I've never encountered benzoin before, so i'm not entirely sure what it smells like, but The Internet says it's a warm and sweet note - I bet it's part of what i'm reading as the vanilla musk. I keep sniffing this looking for the ivy or oakmoss, but honestly, i'm not smelling anything that hits me as particularly green.
The most morphing it does on the dry-down is that the florals mellow out some, but otherwise, it stays largely the same. It wears close to the skin, but is strong on my wrist.
tl;dr: A warm, humid vanillic sweetness with a floral edge that's lush and perfumey from the rose and soft and delicate from the peach blossom.
RATING: 4.7/5. An EENSY bit too perfumey for me, but that's about it.
--
AN EXCELLENT DAY FOR AN EXORCISM (PERFUME OIL) || Cathedral incense, black clove, burned parchment, tarnished silver, sacred woods.
Woods. Strong, evergreen woods, with a surprisingly light airiness to them - a real nice cold air note, i'm assuming. Genuinely makes the scent smell cool. The woods are strong and perfumey, which puts them a hair off realistic, but I also get that fresh, sap-sticky (I love that term pardon me for using it across reviews), slightly bitter mintiness that smells very much like the real thing.
I have, literally, NO idea what the notes in this are at the time that i'm writing this, apart from a tarnished silver note - which I think might be part of the cool airiness of the scent, i'm not sure. If I had to take a wild guess, i'd say that there's... Woods, resins, maybe a floral giving that perfumey nature, and some kinda cold air/ozonic note.
Here we go, let's take a peek at zee notes
...Wow, I was way off. At least I got the woods and the cathedral incense must be what i'm reading as resins, and is probably the source of the perfumey-ness, and, by process of elimination, the silver note must be what's making it so cold. The burnt parchment and black clove come out a couple hours into the drydown, giving this a tingly, burning quality, and a good bit of sharpness. The sweetness of the incense rounds it out nicely.
Doesn't have a lot of sillage, but says strong on my wrist.
tl;dr: Perfumey incense, fresh woods, and a cold and clear silver note that dries down to a burning, sharp smell that's still accompanied by the sweetness of the incense.
RATING: 3.5/5. Not bad, I love that silver note, but gets too sharp on the dry-down.

Okay, so since I was feeling under the weather and stressed at the same time, I felt like writing some light hearted head cannons of the muppets. So here is a sick/stressed s/o, being helped through things/cared for by the Matsus!
Osomatsu
Honestly, he would be the initial shit head that would poke you with a stick and ask if you were dead. But seeing the look on your face, whether you were in pain, upset, angry, sick… He’d come back to reality pretty quickly. He is the oldest of his brothers, and understands, to a basic degree, of how to care for someone in this situation.
Though he will tease the ever living daylights out of you, asking for “favors” in return once you feel up to it/are physically/mentally better, he does as asked and told. But, he will prefer you to lay down and get sleep, giving you the space you may not know that you needed. But you may wake up or look up to find Oso cleaning up, restocking supplies for you, or just coming in to check on you every once in a while, with a sincere smile on his face. He loves caring for you, even if he may come off as rude or crass at first. With his help, you know things will be better for you in no time.
Karamatsu
Sick? Depressed? Stressed? These are things that Karamatsu never wants to hear you say. If he sees you in disarray, he showers you with affections. Though this may be hard to handle if you need space, Kara will do his very best to please you. But he does get very worried for you. He fetches anything you request. He makes sure you are comfy. He gives you a heating blanket or a fan if the temp of the room is off to you, or if you’re sweaty or shivering. He has a very go-getter attitude, and his positivity and love for you is infectious. It will rub off on you, one way or the other, and soon, you’ll forget that you were even sick at all.
Though if Karamatsu is pulled away for being too dotting, he has to busy himself. He will try to make you food, clean your room/house, organize something… Anything. If he’s not actively doing something, he fidgets. If he isn’t actively holding your hand and cooing to you, he worries. He feels like the magical cure-all would be his sweet nothings and affections, but understands the importance of rest/space/or meds. But you see Karamatsu peeking on you VERY often, looking over to you hopefully. He hovers close by, in hopes to hear your voice, so that he may do something for you. This man is extra, and a saint. And this part of him makes you smile to yourself. Even if his lovey dovey care can make you feel a bit overwhelmed, its the gestures and thoughts that count. You will also get better in no time, eager to return Karamatsu’s affections.
Choromatsu
Seen as the more sensible of the brothers, he will definitely know when you’re unwell. If it isn’t something physical, he will ask for what you need, and do anything you ask. He may even be willing to do more out of the way errands and requests, but ONLY because you need his help. He is responsible, but he could be just as lazy as any of the other NEETS. If something physically is wrong with you, he will use prior experiences and his mother’s tips and tricks for good/quick fixes. He tries his best, and at times, all he can offer you is medicine, really hot soup, and his time. If you know anything, please tell him. If he wants to use an old wive’s trick on you, he may need to be told that that stuff may not actually work.
9.9999999 percent of the time, he helps. But sometimes it doesn’t have an affect. Choro may become frustrated, sad he couldn’t help, and a little angry with himself. But as you gulp down his soup or bundle up, you’ll chuckle. It’ll be one of the few times that his more doting, “motherly” side comes out. He’ll blush like a baby if you thank him for helping anyway.
At the end of the day, Choro may need some guidance, because he doesn’t know everything. But he will try his hardest for you, to be sure you are well/put back on your feet again.
Ichimatsu
He can sense things easily, especially regarding mood. If you’re particularly stubborn, it may take him a minute to realize any physical ailments, though. But when he realizes things, he will take you gently by your shoulders, and lead you to lay down/sit down. Do not question Ichimacchan. First and foremost, he makes sure you’re comfy, as diligently as Kara. Fans, blanket, damp rag on your forehead, etc. He will also make the cats stay away from you if they would be a burden, but will also let them lay with you if you need their company.
Before you even ask for something, Ichi is already headed out. He will remember the most obscure details from past conversations. He’ll remember the candy/drink/food that reminded you of your childhood, and get it for you. He’ll remember the medication that you took last time you got like this, and have it filled for you. He remembers your favorite movie or book, if you need it to unwind. He ends up getting every little thing, leaving you sleeping at home, or wondering why he left. You think he may have abandoned his efforts to take care of you, until you see him hauling half a ton of things up the stairs with him. He gets really embarrassed if you point out something that only he remembered. He flusters easy, and will easily get a bit quiet, or switch personas on you if he has to.
If you want his company, he may prod you a bit, grinning and asking,” Is this fine, kitten~? You like having the fan on your face~? What do we saaaay…?”. Ichimatsu-sama.exe can easily make an appearance, knowing that this persona makes you just as flustered as he is, or giggle uncontrollably.
But if you need space, he is one of the brothers that will genuinely grant it to you. And he only comes to you when you need him. He will leave you to your devices, but will be sure to secretly check on you, if the opporitunity arises. He, out of all the brothers, is easily the most flexible with you. And he does everything for you genuinely, with hopes to make you feel better or at ease. You’ll find him cuddling against you if you awake up later, and you’ll ask why he was so close if you were sick. But he’ll just smile against your shoulder, kissing it.
“If I were going to get sick, I would have by now… if this is okay, I… wanna lay here a little longer.” You’re his little love bug. And he will take care of you in any way that you need.
Jyushimatsu
The sunshine’s other half?! SICK?!? How can you get sick?? What is “sick”? Jyushimatsu has long forgotten how to getsick, and his immune system is strong as ever. Even if he doesn’t actually help you feel better, he will be sure you’re laughing and enjoying yourself, even with you feeling this bad. He knows what makes you smile. And he will (literally) bend over backwards and spray water out of his ears and nose if it makes that cute laugh escape your lips.
Need space? Uhh… this one is harder for him. But if you’re firm enough, he will listen. After the fourth time. But with mental shutdown or general depression/tiredness… He knows that it isn’t an easy fix. He can jump over the moon for you, and there may just be a few things that just can’t make you smile. Can’t make you feel better all the time. But he tries for you. He will be willing to talk with you, listening intently. He can’t offer the most sound advice, but he knows exactly what you’re struggling with, even if you never knew that he struggled, too. He assures you. Shh’s you. Brushes your hair out of your face, humming off key dreamily as he rocks you a bit. It’s one of the few times that he can mellow out and be calm/quiet. Whatever care you need, Jyushimatsu will do his best to understand where you’re coming from, and work with you in his own wacky way. And soon enough he’ll have you in his arms, the both of you wore out from the day as you sleep the cares away.
Todomatsu
If you’re physically sick in ways that involve puke, blood, or anything unsanitary, he hesitates with helping you. May even steer clear and ask his Mom to come over to help. But things that some find unsightly like rashes? Swelling? Tired backs, tears, and many things associated with depression… Totty will either know what to do, or Google it on the spot. He is one that will make you pamper yourself. If you need a shower, he’ll bathe you, and let you unwind with one of his expensive face masks he just bought himself. If you like bubble baths and bath bombs, you’re in for a treat. He’ll let you use his lotions, polishes, his brushes… anything. So even if you’re down for the count in anyway, you’ll look like a million bucks. You are almost repulsed by Totty’s insistence to make yourself decent, but you’re surprised what a little nip and tuck can do. You aren’t necessarily cured, but feel a notch better.
Once you are more relaxed, he offers to rub your back, feet, thighs, etc. And he lets you wear some of his loose fitting night shirts. He wants you to be surrounded by comfort. And the smell he leaves on his hoodie is a comfort to you. He loves to indulge in a lazy day with you (which is are for him!), with watching movies, doodling, chatting, reading… anything you feel like doing at the time. He may show you funny vines and you may end up gushing about some popular K Pop group. When you talk, he’s fully invested. And you feel like a damn princess/prince.
If you need space, Totty also knows when to back off. But he will at least make sure that you’re okay, hydrated, cozy, and ACTUALLY fine. If you need him, you can always text him, and he’ll head right over, willing to help you out or do something with you. It’s never a boring moment with him, much like Jyushi. But to top it off, over time? You actually feel much better. As he would come to bring you some milk, tea, or whatever you required at the time, you find yourself smiling and thanking him. He’ll tease you on how genuinely sweet you sound, and you may need to give him a playful, non-existent punch to the shoulder for him to ease up. He’s the ultimate twin, with a little bit of habits picked up from his older brothers. Though he denies it, he has always looked up to them, and you notice all the little habits he’s picked up on. But you wouldn’t change it for the world. At the end of the day, Totty will always be Totty, and he is always the pep in your step that helps you through the day.
Polymatsu
Oh boy. It’s chaos with these guys. When they figure out what’s wrong, they’re all scared to react. They have a little meeting, and everyone is shooting ideas left and right. Good and bad ones. But ultimately, everyone gets a role, and they stick to it.
Totty and Jyushi will keep you entertained, and make sure you always have something to engage you, if you want it. They stay close with you, and are the messengers for Kara and Ichi. Kara and Ichi are the errand boys, and with their unified goal of keeping you safe and comfy, they get all the supplies you can ever think of. Kara brings comforts and indulgences. Ichi will bring everything vital and necessary. They work together if you need to move around, be rotated, etc.
Oso and Choro, lastly, are in charge of keeping Momma posted, and asking for ideas for food you can eat, ways to help you get better faster, and the rituals you’ll have to go through to get on your feet. They experiment. The both of them are good thinkers in their own ways, and their sometimes polar opinions can come together to bring something new to the table. They actively work to make you healthier, make sure you take your meds, and things like that.
All together, the twins are a great team. They have spats and scuffles (especially between the older siblings), but they look past their differences in order to help YOU. You’ll find yourself at the end of the night, cradling 6 tired, contented men. They are relieved that you’re better, but they may have pushed themselves too hard. You pray for them to NEVER get sick at the same time, on the off chance that you will be the only one around to help. But you push those thoughts from your head, snuggling up to all of your NEETs, smiling as you all drift to sleep, 6 bodies gently protecting you from the cold night.

The Best New Men’s Fragrance Launches For Spring/Summer 2018
Want to smell good this season? Of course you do. Who, bar bona fide sociopaths and hardcore body odour fetishists, wouldn’t? Sadly, basic hygiene – while a good start – only goes so far in the heated battle against summer funk. To ensure you always smell fresh, you’ll need an eau de something at your disposal.
That’s why we’ve rounded up the best new scents to sniff out this season. From citrus spritzes to floral orientals, our list means you can spend less time wandering around department stores waggling scent strips, and more time soaking up the sun. (And smelling good while you’re at it, natch.)
Prada Luna Rossa Black EDP
As befits the latest in a line of scents inspired by a sailboat racing syndicate – Prada’s Luna Rossa Challenge – Luna Rossa Black is a fragrance intended for explorers. At once energising and warmly aromatic, it opens with bergamot and angelica, but quickly gives way to coumarin, patchouli and a base of woody amber.
Far from meat-and-two-veg straightforward (when is Prada ever?), Black is a big scent that, in contrast to its sporty, marine feel, is best worn at dinner than sailing downwind. It’s also the first eau du parfum in the Luna Rossa series, so expect plenty of staying power.

Hollister Festival Vibes EDP
Normally the last thing we’d suggest you do with anything Hollister branded is, you know, actually buy it. But Festival Vibes, the brand’s new regrettably titled but surprisingly good fragrance marks a new high for the label beloved of frat boys – not least because it features cannabis.
Okay, not really. It’s cannabis accord, not legit cannabis, so no, you can’t smoke it (please, please don’t try that) and no, it won’t get you even remotely stoned. It will, however, make you smell good, with a pleasing mix of ozone, ginger and ambergris.

Hermès Eau De Citron Noir EDC
Hermès’ latest unisex scent bills itself as the perfect ‘midday-to-midnight’ cologne. And while that’s technically true – Eau de Citron Noir’s fusion of zingy citrus notes with the depth of black tea makes it light enough for day, smouldering enough for night – its weak concentration means you’ll need to re-apply on the hour, every hour if you’re after all-day coverage.
Despite that, it’s still one of our favourites. Inspired by the smoky sourness of dried lime, or noomi basra (a popular ingredient in Middle Eastern cuisine), this warm-weather scent is a refreshingly new take on a classic citrus cologne.

Mr Burberry Indigo EDT
Created in collaboration with renowned nose Francis Kurkdjian, Burberry’s latest flanker in its acclaimed Mr Burberry series is an homage to the British coast – and no, that doesn’t mean it reeks of chips and seaweed.
Mr Burberry Indigo is instead a masterful blend of lemon, rosemary, mint and oakmoss that’s equal parts and fresh and fougère-y. While haters will say it’s predictably commercial, the rest of us will agree it’s a true crowd-pleaser. Plus, its heavy flacon – rich with details inspired by Burberry’s iconic trench coat – comes in surprisingly handy for, er, settling any debate.

Giorgio Armani Acqua Di Gio Absolu EDP
Arguably one of the best men’s fragrances of all time, Giorgio Armani’s Acqua Di Gio line has spawned a fruity new variant this season.
Designed by Alberto Morillas, the perfumer behind the original 1996 Acqua di Gio scent, Absolu blends fruity, woody and marine notes in a slightly sweeter twist on the original’s classically masculine formulation. It’s light too (unlike its forebears Essenza or Profumo), so if you’re looking for a crowd-pleasing spritz you don’t want to commit to all day, look no further.
Don’t be fooled by its appearance, though: while Absolu’s amber colour and sustainably sourced ash wood bottle cap might be giving you retro, moustachioed seventies vibes, the scent itself is more millennial than man of distinction.

Acqua Di Parma Blu Mediterraneo Chinotto Di Liguria EDT
Chinotto fans, rejoice! Not only can you impress people with your knowledge of what that obscure brown flavour of San Pellegrino is, but now you can also smell like your favourite Italianate soft drink.
Okay, so there’s a little more to Acqua di Parma’s latest luxury fragrance than that. As well as top notes of mandarin orange and chinotto – which, for those of you who are still wondering what the hell we’re going on about, is the fruit of the myrtle-leaved orange tree commonly found in the Mediterranean – Chinotto di Liguria packs a nostril-flaring punch of jasmine, cardamom and musk.
As a unisex chypre, it’s definitely not your office fragrance, but sprayed lightly while holidaying or for a formal event, it’s a real charmer.

Guerlain L’Homme Idéal L’Intense EDP
Not one for wallflowers, Guerlain’s L’Homme Idéal L’Intense is the fragrance equivalent of a staggeringly wealthy sheikh reclining on a bed of silk, smoking shisha. Yup, we’re talking fully luxed up.
Thick with Bulgarian rose, this rich gourmand-like scent also features hints of almond, vanilla and fiery chilli pepper over a base of leather and sandalwood. At best it’s a moreish confection that proudly stands apart from most men’s fragrances; to some, though it will smell a bit like your gran’s Sunday Best. A solid bet for anyone who doesn’t want to smell like everyone else, we’d advise you try before you buy this one.

Van Cleef & Arpels Néroli Amara EDP
Arguably better known for its red-carpet jewellery than its scents, Parisian label Van Cleef & Arpels steals the show this season with a unisex neroli fragrance that bottles the best of both worlds.
Opening with citrus notes of Italian lemon, bergamot and mandarin orange, Néroli Amara gradually reveals a perfectly fine-tuned balance of the sweetness of traditionally feminine orange blossom and the subtly spicy woodsiness of black pepper and cyprus, both of which are more commonly found in scents for men.
It is hands down one of the best fragrances you can buy this season. And do buy two: there is no chance your significant other isn’t going to try to surreptitiously spritz this one.

Armani Code A-list EDT
Fragrances that boast about how wealthy they smell are usually more likely to conjure images of an over-perfumed gents room at a club that’s anything but VIP. This one bucks the trend.
A new limited-edition offspring of the celebrated Armani Code, it takes its father’s musky tones of guaiac wood and distils them further, cutting through the smokiness with a zingy lavandin grosso heart – a lavender plant extract to the fragrantly uninitiated. It’s been billed as a scent that can open doors, so get spritzing and namedropping.

Calvin Klein Eternity Air EDT
What does air smell like? It smells like eternity – cue pout to camera. Okay, we’re going to get over the frilly names and just say Calvin Klein knows how to make a sexy smell we wish the air around us would smell like for, well, eternity. Anyway, this new spray is the flanker to 1989’s Eternity For Men, a light, yet masculine fragrance that works well in summer.
Eternity Air follows the same sort of leafy principles, opening with a fruity juniper berry and mandarin combination before mellowing into lavender and green apple and then a rounding out with woody or mossy patchouli. It’s a sophisticated scent that you’ll want to wear for (damn it) eternity.

Ralph Lauren Polo Ultra Blue EDT
Ralph Lauren Polo Blue is one of the brand’s classic fragrances: a refreshing, seafaring scent with top notes of melon and cucumber.
With this iteration, the preppy stalwart cooks up an even fresher potion, getting rid of the melon (it’s too hard to peel anyway) and introducing lavender, geranium and the sweet, nutty base notes of tonka bean. With a splash of salty mineral accord, you are now ready to fare the seven seas in your super yacht. Sorry Ralph, ultra yacht.
