i hate when people who dont have marfans make/headcanon characters with marfans as some quirky trait. i really do, i've seen it a lot in my life as someone who was diagnosed at 3 with the condition and it honestly grinds my gears they always do the most stereotype-y traits, or ignore how much of a struggle it is to live with marfans, or how marfans can fuck up your body further by just how much shit it causes.

to put it into perspective, i got tagged like a fucking animal at school because they didnt want to take too much care into explaining that i needed extra care if something happened, or that people should be gentle with me because i could die on school grounds. ive sat cooped up in my home most of my life, i've only been on a fair ride once because getting on a roller coaster could harm me as well. i need help walking or getting around because my body cant always handle it, i have other problems due to marfans that have hurt me greatly for my entire life.

i'm slowly going blind from marfans and theres nothing a doctor can do that will stick. i risk aortic dissection simply by being hit in the chest, i used to be afraid of going to bed because if anything hit my chest too hard i could literally fucking die then and there, because my heart would fucking collapse on itself and theres a decent chance that i wouldnt make it to the emergency room.

it's not just some trait, it is a disability. and it's not quirky!! it was never fucking quirky!!! getting discriminated against for being disabled by the age of 4 wasnt fun! it wasnt silly! it was traumatizing!!!!

if you're going to make a character or headcanon a character with marfans take into account how much of a stereotype you're making them. there are short people with marfans, fat people with marfans (like myself), poc with marfans, there are people who cannot walk or function because of marfans, people with marfans arent scary or shy or weak all the time. we're human people! we vary!

talk to actual people with marfans. look up posts about the condition from people with the condition. dont confuse marfans with EDS. just have common sense!! its exhausting trying to look at content from people like me and either seeing headcanons, EDS posts, or people telling everyone with marfans that they have no hope (this ones common on reddit, but it applies).

people with marfans dont immediately die either, btw. i saw a post recently that was just "haha this character better have had amazing doctors or his marfans would kill him in 2 seconds!!!" and that's not how it works. of course it can be fatal thats with all things, but dont act like its an immediate death sentence, please. i'm sure a lot of us have heard it enough already

(gripping my head) iiiiii'm going to make a post soon detailing the different kinds of magic users that exist in the world, but terms are the bane of my existence and i need help 💔

long story short im just borrowing dnd logic with the distinctions between sorcerers/wizards/warlocks, just with an added twist. wizards are kinda similar to the tremere in vtm in which they use blood and other parts of their body to cast spells because they are not innately capable of using magic (i prommy it will make more sense when i explain the magic system 😭). but i realized i also wanted to add an Additional subclass of magic user who is someone who relies on items infused with magic to cast spells (like a spellcasting focus?) that they have to recharge. NOW my problem is that I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO CALL THESE PEOPLE SHFHDHFDHAHSSJSBD

Decker, on the other hand, was familiar enough —comfortable enough— that the noise did not rouse him fully. He would know that it would take all of two minutes for his partner to have made his way to their bedroom that it would not matter if he got up. It would be the same as every other time that Kurjak got home while he was sleeping. Which was to climb into bed alongside Decker and their fur children and settle in for the night.

A soft, sleepy noise rumbled through his chest at the sensation of a familiar warm body sprawling on top of him.

Decker shifted under the additional weight. Not opening his eyes, though, even as he turned his head to gently nuzzle at the side of Kurjak's face. Content to fall back asleep to the sound of the other's heart beat.

in my free time, i'm doing one of two things. i'm either lazing around, playing genshin, texting/calling friends, scrolling through social media, watching masterchef (it's a guilty pleasure) or i'm attempting to finish up school work that i remember needs to be completed. most of the time, in the beginning of the day, i'll take a note of everything i have to do, and plan my free days according to that.

personality-wise, i'm an extroverted introvert!! (INFP-T) basically, i have the ability to get along well with people, start new conversations, and can pretty easily make new friends and keep in contact with them, but! my social battery eventually dies out once i feel like i've talked enough. when i reach that limit, i usually need time to myself before i can get back to my outgoing self. i also tend to be described as the hardworking, helpful, and happy friend :]

my favorite nation is liyue!! its history fascinates me and i don't think i'll ever get over the lantern rite events. my favorite element is also anemo, for no particular reason, i just know i like it haha

Can anyone tell me if the Samsung Galaxy Xcover 5 64GB is good for playing Final Fantasy Opera Omnia? And do you know if there are more ways to recharge it?

If you know better phones with replaceable battery (without the need for technicians) that cost up to 300€ (not more) let me know, I'll take a look. Hoping they are available here in Italy.

There is also the Gigaset GS5 but there are problems with the German post, I no longer want to deal with parcels that have disappeared or never arrived at their destination and are often returned to the sender for no reason (twice I tried and twice I never received anything forcing me to ask for a refund). I'm not the only one to complain about this, as it's mostly a problem for small overseas sellers/shops.

My current phone is a Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo that I've been using for 8 years and it's almost destroyed and I have to change it, after only 2 years the USB port to charge it broke so I had to buy a battery only charger and I'm going on with these since then (I had taken it to be repaired but they had only erased my datas, if that had been the problem I could have done it myself since there is the option in the phone 🙄). It has android 4.4 and many apps no longer work, soon not even WhatsApp. 💔

It's been a long time, but I did it.

Since I started shooting digital, I desired to learn analog. Always been scared about it, maybe for the "you have just one chance!" feeling that made me really uncomfortable.

Before ​m​e and my boyfriend are leaving for ​a​ week​, just thought about it again: I have a​n out of shape ​smartphone, maybe I could bring my reflex​ with me, but sometimes I feel it so heavy, plus my swimming is the very-long kind​ and I want to leave as few personal belongings as possible on the beach.

So here comes the idea. Some years ago I found out that ​a​ 90s Yashica ​Zoomate 105​ SE Brava, our family camera​ for a while, ​was still there, with a​ 125​ film ​inside​, exp. at least 10 years ago​ - ​w​hat a discovery​ for a naife amateur.

​Today I put inside the new battery… it turns on!​ 18 pictures out of 24​, wow, maybe I can shoot even 6 pictures more!​ ​but... ​no way​. ​Brava ​seems to need ​m​ore time ​for ​recharging. The ​dealer suggests "maybe it's better to ​r​ewind it and try a new ​f​ilm".​ They​ sen​t ​the developed files to my mail in 20 minutes, and this is what came out: some flowers, my father and some special memories of my grandma ​b​irthday - this is how we discovered the​y were shot in 2008.

I bought a new film. I also wanted a 800 ​to try something at night, but it was unavailable​; for now a daylight film is ok, I will buy ​another ​one ​next time. The dealer wanted to put the film inside the Brava for me but I was like "I CAN DO IT BY MYSELF, PLS STOP, thx Mr." (just like a little girl jealous for her new toy).

Watching some analog pictures on the laptop screen, in just 20 minutes, has been so weird. I remember when my father had to wait ​two, maybe three weeks​ or a month to get "the call".​ I​ asked him quite every day "did you take them​? ​they're ​not ready yet?​!" and we had to wait more and more, until he could took them home after work, just to find out that maybe 3 or 4 shoots were good.

I couldn't wait for the ritual. After I came​ back home​ ​I put the ​unexposed film inside the Yashica​ that… doesn't shoot, lol.​ The flash works, the display ​t​oo, but when I press the shot button it ​goes like "nope my friend, i just can't do this anymore, please just give up". May be an issue with the shutter, idk. I r​ewind the new ​f​ilm and (surprise​, surprise!) ​it​ ghosts inside the canister.​ What a genius. Here comes the "oh shit, i just spent 13 euros for nothing"​ part. Discouraged, I luckily found this video, and I could bring the film outside again.
