🐉 Year of the Dragon Lunar New Year DMBJ Treat Exchange 🐉

We are going to HOP (get it… Year of the Rabbit!) into 2023 with an idea that is a new format for the DMBJ Fandom. The Lunar New Year Treat Exchange is a slow burn of an exchange, with low pressure and plenty of time to create, and is open to fan creators of all types - writers, artists, vidders, gif makers, and all others.

Based on the Fandom Stocking and Fandom Giftbox exchanges that used to run on LiveJournal and Dreamwidth, no-one will be assigned to create a gift for any specific person - instead, anyone who would like a treat signs up with their wishlist of characters, ships, likes, and prompts (and DNWs!). This list is open for browsing, and anyone who feels inspired to create for anyone else is free to do so and add the treat to the AO3 collection for the event. All treats will then be revealed at the Lunar New Year!

Since the New Year for ‘Year of the Rabbit’ is so soon (22 Jan 2023), the first LNY reveal will be for the ‘Year of the Dragon’, on 10 February 2024.

This exchange is open to all the DMBJ canons - if it’s DMBJ, then it’s eligible! Since all treats are to be posted to the AO3 collection, you will need an AO3 account to participate – if you don’t have one, you can request an invitation code here, or ask for an invitation from existing AO3 members.

Deadline for all treats completed and posted: January 21st, 2024

‘Pinch Hit’ period to ensure everyone signed up has at least one treat: January 21st - February 9th, 2024

Treats reveals: February 10th, 2024 - The Year of the Dragon

Creator reveals: February 17th, 2024

🐉 Guidelines 🐉

1. You can start creating treat fills whenever you like - you do not have to wait for sign-ups to close.

2. You do not have to sign up with a request yourself in order to create a treat for someone else.

3. While you do not have to create a treat for someone else if you sign up with requests for treats yourself, we ask that you do create at least one treat.

4. When choosing requests to treat for, please prioritise anyone who does not yet have a treat (the list of requests will be regularly updated to show Y/N as to whether or not someone has a treat fill yet).

a. If there is anyone without a treat fill by the time of the deadline, mods will ask for people to create treats so that everyone who signed up receives at least one treat.

5. Your creation/s must focus on your recipient’s requested characters or ship (or one or more of their requested ships, if they have nominated multiple ones). While unrequested background ships are fine (unless listed as a Do Not Want), if it is a shippy creation then the focused ship/s must be one or more of the requested ships.

6. You will be expected to create a treat matching your recipient’s request. Filling any specifying prompts is not obligatory, but try to create something you honestly think your recipient will enjoy!

7. You must not include anything that your recipient has listed as a DNW (Do Not Want). Not even as a one-line throwaway reference.

8. The minimum requirements for the treats are 300 words for fic, one sketch on unlined paper for art (traditional or digital), a 3 panel manip or set of 3 single panel manips, a fanvid of any length, or any other fanwork of equal effort.

9. You can create as many treats as you like over the creation period.

10. This is an anonymous exchange: refrain from discussing your assignment in public. After the works are revealed, there’ll be a one-week anon period when the creators remain anonymous before the creator reveals.

11. You are welcome to post your treat to other sites in addition to AO3, such as Lofter, but please ensure that you do post it to AO3 as well so that your giftee gets the notification.

12. Most importantly: be excellent to each other!

🐉 Sign-Up Information 🐉

Sign-ups will take place via Google Form, starting on January 22nd, 2023. The form will be posted in a separate post when sign-ups begin.

The form will ask you for your name and for a link to your Dear Creator letter. Your Dear Creator letter is where you will fill out your request, and can be hosted anywhere you like - Tumblr, Dreamwidth, Google Docs, etc.

Sign-ups will close on October 30th, 2023. While no new sign-ups will be accepted after this date, you are still able to make amendments to your Dear Creator letter.

Treat creation can begin at any time after January 22nd - you do not have to wait for sign-ups to close before creating treats.

🐉 Dear Creator Letters 🐉

Your Dear Creator letter should contain the following information:

Preferred DMBJ canon: You have to choose at least one. If you’re willing to receive a treat in any canon era, you can just say “Any”!

Characters: You have to choose at least one character that you would like your treat to be about.

Relationships: These can be any platonic, romantic, or sexual relationships you would like in a treat. “None” is a perfectly valid answer here.

General Likes: This isn’t a place for detailed prompts, just general themes you enjoy. E.g. getting together, established relationship, alternate universe, dark, crack, hurt/comfort, etc.

DNW (Do Not Wants): Things that your creator must not include - squicks, triggers, or characters or things that you simply don’t like. Remember that you don’t owe anyone an explanation about why something is a DNW, and that DNWs are not meant to be taken personally. Just list the things you don’t like, “DNW: X, Y.”

Prompts/specific ideas: if you have any prompts, you can also put them here! You can be as general or as detailed as you’d like, but remember that while your creator will try to make the best gift for you, filling a specific prompt is not obligatory. You can include a crossover prompt (with other DMBJ verse or other canons entirely), but make sure it’s not the only prompt you have.

Please note in your Dear Creator letter if you are happy to receive a treat in Chinese.

You can make changes to your Dear Creator letter at any time, but please keep in mind that the later you make changes, the higher the chance that someone may have already created a treat for you that will not have those changes taken into account - this includes late DNW additions, so please try to ensure that any/all DNWs are listed as early as possible, and that late changes are just additions to prompts and things you like.

🐉 Multi-chapter Fics 🐉

If you are writing a multi-chapter fic for a treat and don’t want to drop the entire fic at once, these are the posting guidelines for it:

At least the first chapter posted by the deadline, ready for the reveals on February 10.

From February 10, aim to post at least one chapter daily.

All chapters of the fic must be posted by the time of creator reveals on February 17 (If the fic is more than 7 chapters long, then this will mean that multiple chapters will need to be posted on some days).

So Daomu Biji live-action adaptation of Part 2: Nu Hai Qian Sha (Sands Hidden In the Raging Sea) and Part 3: Qin Ling Shen Shu (Qin Ling’s Sacred Tree) came out last week. Part 2 will consist of 12 episodes and Part 3 28 episodes. You probably can hear my fangirl self screaming in the background.

Here’s our main trio aka the beloved Iron Triangle - Wu Xie, Zhang Qiling & Wang Pangzi.

Hi hi! So the lost tombs and chronology all super confuse me. So tlt2 ended on a cliffhanger that was not resolved by tlt3 which is ultimate note, but now there is another tlt3 that I am guessing is made by the same studio as tlt2 (but not UN) that actually follows tlt2? And it has the same WPZ as tlt2 (but sadly different WX, ZQL though I’m sure these guys are great). You seem to know what you’re talking about so I’m hoping you can help!

UN also ended on a cliff hanger so I’m wondering if they’ll get a sequel from their studio that comes before tomb of the sea.

ahhh hello anon! yes ahaha the dmbj dramas are certainly very confusing--because they keep switching the screenwriters/entire production team between dramas. huanrui did tlt1 (2015), tlt2 (2019), and the sequel to tlt2 (2021). they're also technically the production company for un (2020), but linghe did like all the directing/casting/writing so its significantly different in tone and quality from the other dramas huanrui produced. npss (dmbj author) did sha hai (2018) and tltr (2020), with sha hai being in collab with linghe, so you can see lots of parallels with un and shared cast. (gonna add that i dont know much about the m9 because that’s not what im personally interested in, so i’m only going by stories with wu xie & the iron triangle.)

unfortunately, the dramas pretty have no continuity as a result of all the weird shit and multiple studios doing different dramas and messy stuff going on behind the scenes. the author's production company currently has all the rights back for filming future dramas, which is......imo, a good thing for book fans who love the author but a 😬 thing for book fans who like the original story more than what the author is now doing with it. I'll uh avoid saying too much opinion stuff though so no more on that 😅

that aside! yes 云顶天宫 “explore with the note” part 2......is the direct sequel to tlt2 and done by the same studio. unfortunately the writers are different and im not sure how much of the production team is the same either. idk how much you know about the novels so brief summary here--for the chinese version, the main story has 9 parts split among 8 books (though the official eng tls have each part being a different book) with some important content being as follows:

official eng title “cavern of blood zombies” (first time wx goes into a tomb, first t3j meeting)

official eng title “angry sea, hidden sands” (xisha seabed tomb, introduce a-ning)

official eng title “bronze tree of death” (bronze tree in qinling, wx & lao yang solo adventure)

official eng title “palace of doom” (heavenly palace on the clouds, introduce bronze gate)

official eng title “deadly desert winds” (golmud, introduce hei xiazi, desert, rainforest, tamutuo)

official eng title “graveyard of a queen” (the rest of that arc, wu sanxing & xie lianhuan reveal, jade meteorite, amnesiac xiaoge and escape, sanshu vanishes for good--also i think the official eng tl covers a couple chapters of the beginning of the next part too)

阴山古楼 (searching for xiaoge’s memories in banai, miluotuo cave, i think introduction of wu erbai)

邛笼石影 (auction/hotel iron triangle fight, introduce xiao hua & xiuxiu, wx & xh on the mountains alone while pz & xg go with granny huo)

finale (rescue from zhang family mansion, changbai mountain goodbye, 10 years promise)

after the main story are the main sequels:

zang hai hua (tibetan sea flower; unfinished & abandoned) covers wu xie a few years after xiaoge has entered the gate, searching to understand xiaoge’s past

sha hai (tomb of the sea; unfinished & abandoned) covers wu xie’s plan to wipe out the wang family, after zhh

chongqi (reunion: the sound of the providence) covers wu xie’s lung disease and how he recovers from that, set after they pick up xiaoge again from the bronze gate. thunder city and everything.

灯海寻尸&万山极夜 (still updating on wechat) don’t worry about this one since it’s still a WIP lol

btw between sha hai and chongqi there’s also ten years later (a short story) that covers how wu xie and pangzi pick up xiaoge from the bronze gate and take him home

the dramas Do Not Connect To Each Other At All, which the exception of tlt2 & tlt2 pt2 somewhat, but they go in this order:

盗墓笔记 / the lost tomb 1 (2015): covers part 1 but with major OCs and filler, and includes the auction scene from part 8 for some reason, so introduces xiao hua early.

怒海潜沙&秦岭神树 / the lost tomb 2 (2019) technically “explore with the note”: covers parts 2 & 3 but with major OCs and filler, introduces xiao hua & xiuxiu (and hei xiazi briefly) early. last couple episodes also cover the beginning of part 4. not a direct sequel to tlt1 despite being done by the same studio.

云顶天宫 / heavenly palace on the clouds (2021) technically also “explore with the note”: covers part 4 with major OCs and filler (and the same changes carrying over from tlt2). some episodes are identical to the last couple episodes of tlt2. works as a direct sequel only if you ignore the last couple episodes of tlt2 that take place in the snowy mountains. (those episodes of tlt2 were filmed after this drama was filmed, and im still not sure why they dragged the wu xie and xiaoge from tlt2 back to changbai mountain to film those episodes.)

终极笔记 / ultimate note (2020): covers parts 5-8 with minor OCs and minimal filler, also introduces xiao hua & xiuxiu early. the only adaptation that resembles its source material most of the time.

沙海 / tomb of the sea (2018): covers the second sequel with major OCs and filler. includes some bits from zhh and the short story “three days of silence”.

重启之极海听雷 / the lost tomb reboot (2020): covers third sequel with major OCs and filler.

in addition there is the prequel series mystic nine (2016) and side movies for the dramas that the author produced. there is also a single standalone movie--time raiders (2016) that is....well it’s. very strange. it’s fully subbed on youtube if you’re interested?

the best way to watch the dramas is to assume each one is its own self-contained AU set along different points of the dmbj timeline because even the dramas the author himself worked on don’t have continuity LOL (and with the exception of ultimate note & sha hai most of the time, also assume most characters are pretty OOC from the novels).

i uh regret to inform you though, that ultimate note will not be getting a sequel unless the author magically decides to not care about making money anymore and sells the rights to film the finale to linghe or something ^^;;;; it’s....unfortunate bc un is the most highly-rated dmbj adaptation on douban by A Lot, but it’s an adaptation that the author had literally nothing to do with whatsoever.

Hello folks here I am, finally crawling back to my favourite bottomless abyss and bringing a few updates from the huge universe of Daomu Biji! :D

These past few years and upcoming few years are actually considered high time for Daomu Biji franchise, with many adaptations airing one after another, as well as a thick line-up of upcoming adaptations across different media. So, let’s rejoice folks, here’s a list of Daomu goodness to look forward too! ٩(ˊᗜˋ*)و

As you might already know, 盗墓笔记：秦岭神树 Daomu Biji: Qinling’s Sacred Tree Animation has aired. Not sure if you guys have heard about this, but there’s also 重启之蛇骨佛蜕 The Lost Tomb Reboot: Spin-off movie that launched on Youku, starring Hei Yanjing / Black Glasses as the main character.

Now beside that, we’ve heard also a couple of news about other adaptations (and of course, as usual, don’t ask me when the actual air date is xD)

First off, we have 老九门贰 Mystic Nine 2, with some news (not 100% though) that the main cast of Mystic Nine 1 will continue starring in this one. Tentative air date is set as Q4 2022.

Lining up next, we have 南部档案 Archives Of The South, an adaptation of a Daomu Biji extra story of the same name. Tentative air date is set as Q2 2023.

Another one that is less heard about, but the filming has wrapped up and we likely only have to wait for them to announce the air date is 老九门之青山海棠 Mystic Nine: Mountain’s Begonia.

And the last one, which has been rumoured for a longggggg time but not much detail has been known (Ｔ▽Ｔ). I personally look forward to this one a lot, for this traces back to pretty much the origin of Daomu Biji. It’s 藏海戏麟 Wang Zang Hai’s Kylin Tale (okay I admit this might be a bad translation T.T, if someone has a better idea, let me know), which tells the story of Wang Zanghai and how he gets tangled in the Zhang family’s affairs as well as the secrets surrounding the Bronze Gate.

So, that’s a quick update from the Daomu universe for y’all! Don’t worry, we’re not dead, and trust me, we won’t be for quite a while. (｡•̀ᴗ-)✧

56.黄保坪57.少室山58.达摩洞（最早还有一个武夷山山区，貌似没被采用。）门派设定华山派（关键字——全能、待业、鸡肋）华山山势险峻，峭冠五岳，但草木清华，景色极幽，鸟语嘤嘤，流水淙淙。华山派在此绝色之地，却实而不华，屋宇楼阁皆以朴实为上。不久之前，华山掌门岳不群才带领众弟子由衡山回来。衡山发生的风风雨雨，似与华山无关，不过首徒令狐冲，倒是因为在衡山的言行不当，遭岳掌门惩处，到思过崖面壁去了。其它弟子一如往昔，陆大友跟施戴子忙着教新进弟子们练功，不过因为大师哥在面壁受罚，这每日的饭菜倒是伤透了大家的脑筋。本来，饭菜都是小师妹──岳灵珊抢着送上去，不知怎地，突然跟大师哥呕起气来不送了，老是找些新弟子代她送饭…… 生命　████████ 8 防御　████████ 8 物理攻击████████ 8 招式攻击█████████ 9 内功攻击| 0 内功辅助█████████ 9 异术攻击█████ 5 异术辅助████ 4 华山的攻防能力是非常不错的，物理攻击算是除了嵩山之外最强的门派之一，防御能力也相当不错。招式攻击早期有中上的水准，男弟子使用的君子剑法威力不错。��弟子的玉女剑法虽然威力稍逊，但是消耗的精力只有君子剑法的一半，加上玉女剑法的基本招能回复精力，更利于持久战。三十级以后学的岳家十剑，威力既强，速度也快，非常实用。到了五十级以后，玩家若习得剑宗秘传，攻击力更能大幅增加，不过可是要通过十分严峻的考验喔！至于传说中的独孤九剑，嘿嘿…..就要看你的造化啰！内功方面，华山派是以内力辅助见长，许多内功都能增加自己的能力。例如紫气东来可加快攻击速度、紫霞功运体心法可增加最大血量、守绝心法可增加防御力、剑宗秘传可增加力量与攻击力。除此之外，轻功与疾行也是华山门人的拿手好戏。医疗方面，华山是除了恒山之外，医疗能力最强的一个门派。不过习得的时间比恒山慢，而且使用时消耗的内力也是恒山的数倍。至于异术，华山没有很特别的地方，部份异术能降低敌人的能力，然而效果有限。不过，有一项非常重要的辅助异术──回元大法，能直接把玩家复活喔！嵩山派（关键字——打手）嵩山铁壁飞瀑，深壑万丈，雄伟绝胜，气象万千。嵩山派位于太室山上，地处绝顶之巅，睥睨天下，自然左大掌门有一统五岳之心。嵩山派本就较五岳剑派的其它门派来的强盛，十三太保个个身怀绝艺，且这十余年来，左冷禅四处结纳武功高强的左道之士，暗中培养不少势力。前一阵子，嵩山以五岳剑派盟主之名，强压下衡山刘正风的金盆洗手，藉刘正风与魔教长老相交，挑了衡山刘氏一脉，大显盟主之威。但这只不过是一统五岳的一个开端…… 生命　██████ 6 防御　███ 3 物理攻击██████████ 10 招式攻击██████████ 10 内功攻击█████████ 9 内功辅助█ 1 异术攻击██████ 6 异术辅助███ 3 嵩山的攻击能力是所有门派里最强的一个，物理攻击方面，基本剑招在学会万岳剑法后将突飞猛进，单是随便砍砍就让敌人吃不消了。招式攻击则是嵩山武学的重头戏，在低等级时便有三套剑法可学。十七路剑法在早期威力便比华山、恒山强两倍以上。嵩阳剑法威力与十七路剑法相近，还能使敌人麻痹。另有一套功击力强到可怕的剑法──蟠龙剑法，不过使用时自己也会大量失血喔！不过，嵩山的防御能力比其它派来的弱。早期还看不出来，等到高等级时，这一方面的缺点便渐渐显露。因此强烈建议玩家在创造人物时将体魄加到最大值！嵩山的内功主要以攻击敌人为主，例如嵩阳掌能直接伤害敌人。另外，内力辅助方面也有不错的能力，例如暴焰劲能损血换精力、寒霜结能麻痹对手、运气传功则能帮队友恢复内力。嵩山的轻功、跳跃也还算不错，比华山、恒山差而已。嵩山的异术大部份也是攻击性质的。少部份在伤害敌人之外还能附加负面的属性给敌人，如降低防御或降低速度等。某些异术在伤害敌人之余，还能补自己的血量，这对耗血非常凶的嵩山不无小补。恒山派（关键字——护士、6+、全套）恒山连峰峻岭，但坐落在见性峰上的恒山派，却异常朴素。两间小小的庵堂，内里陈设简陋，但一尘不染。难以想象威震江湖的恒山派，竟是质朴若斯。前一阵子，白云庵庵主定逸师太率领弟子前往衡山，参加刘正风的金盆洗手之宴，却目睹刘氏被嵩山灭门的惨案。但是事情总是由刘正风交结魔教长老所引发，虽然嵩山的强硬做法，让人不太心服，不过恒山三位老师太也没太在意，��续日常的清修…… 生命　██████ 6 防御　█████ 5 物理攻击██████ 6 招式攻击██████ 6 内功攻击| 0 内功辅助██████████ 10 异术攻击████ 4 异术辅助█████████ 9 恒山在一般人的印象里应该是躲在队伍后面的小护士吧！不过事实上恒山派的攻防能力也是很强的喔…物理攻击与物理防御都跟华山派差不多，而招式攻击也有一定的威力，不过就是速度稍慢了些。除此之外，恒山剑法还有附加效果，如恒云剑法能一面攻击敌人一面补血、绵里藏针剑法能持续伤害敌人，因此千万别以为小护士就好欺负喔… 不过恒山最强的还是内力医疗方面的能力。不但回复的量大，而且疗伤内功(慈云劲) 越后面的招式耗费内力的比例越划算。除了医疗之外，恒山的辅助性内功也很不错。例如通筋内诀可以增加最大血量、通筋外诀可以增加防御力。轻功跟跳高能力也不错，比华山稍逊而已。另外，恒山还有反击对方攻击的内功──棉针诀，也是相当实用的功夫。恒山的异术主要以辅助性的为主，最重要的当然就是各种回命法了。早期复活因为机率低，而且死亡的损失也不算大，所以看不出重要性。但是当玩家升到十几二十级，开始出入危险战区后，恒山就是队伍里的必备成员！很多地方如果没有恒山弟子压阵，等级再高的队伍都有可能全灭喔… 衡山派（关键字——上河、1111、下雨）衡山山势雄伟，峰峰相连。山峦间云气变幻无常，烟雾翻腾，倏忽千变。但亦有幽雅深邃的山坳、流水潺潺的溪涧，兼以奇花异草，处处充满独特的灵气。衡山派处在衡山之中，弟子受这灵秀之气的熏染，亦多喜好音乐。但音乐往往反映个性，对于音乐的见解不同，往往就难以相处。因此掌门莫大与其师弟刘正风，便因此而难以融洽。不过虽说如此，前一阵子嵩山以霸道手段强灭刘门，还是让莫大心有不平。但心有不平又能如何？只是胡琴的曲调又凄厉了些…… 生命　█████ 5 防御　█████ 5 物理攻击█████ 5 招式攻击██████ 6 内功攻击| 0 内功辅助| 0 异术攻击███████ 7 异术辅助██████████ 10 衡山的攻防能力还算普通，物理攻击比嵩山、华山、恒山低。剑法威力也不算顶强，不过还算有独到之处。早期的回风落雁剑法比起华山、恒山毫不逊色，中期的百变千幻云雾十三式虽然威力很弱，但是附加的各种能力非常有用，有的剑招能补血，有的能补策力或是精力，有的能迷惑、麻目、甚至麻痹敌人。不过，衡山武学最特别的地方还是在他的异术──各式各样的音乐上。衡山弟子不会任何内功招式，而将全副精力贯注在音乐的修为上。而且衡山异术与其它门派非常不一样，有三个非常重要的特性。首先衡山绝大多数的异术不用耗费策力，不过少部份威力非常强大的异术会耗费大量的策力喔！其次，衡山绝大多数的异术都是广域的，作用在友方身上就是所有队友都能受到加持，作用在敌方身上则是一定范围内所有敌人都会受到伤害或是负面的影响。最后，则是一方同时只能有一种衡山异术在作用。举例来说，你可以同时对我方弹奏碧霄吟，使所有队友速度加快；然后同时对敌方弹奏霸王卸甲，使所有敌人的防御降低。不过，在碧霄吟的有效时间内，如果你对己方弹奏其它乐曲，则该乐曲的效力会取代碧霄吟的效力。衡山的异术非常多样，增强己方能力或降低敌方的能力都相当完备，甚至还有直接伤害的乐曲。而且，衡山也是除了泰山之外，唯一能招唤玩家尸体的门派。各种异术威力上虽然比其它门派同等级的异术差，不过不用耗费策力与广域的特性，让衡山的异术非常实用！属性分配上，衡山不会内功，因此请不要浪费点数在气海上。至于与策力相关的聪慧，衡山的异术大多不耗策力，因此只要加一些就够了。衡山的剑术还算堪用，因此体魄也要稍微注意一下。其它就看玩家的喜好了！泰山派（关键字——道士，崩地） “会当凌绝顶，一览群山小”。登临绝顶，群山俱在脚下，远瞰旭日东升，云海玉盘，更有吞吐天下的气概。泰山派位于此高峰之上，却无丝毫骄恣之气，尊奉祖师东灵道人之训，以救济天下苍生为职志。前些日子，由掌门天门道人率门人前去衡山参加刘正风的金盆洗手之会，虽刘氏被嵩山灭门，但天门道人素对魔教恨之入骨，既然是交结魔教，那被盟主灭门也就理所当然。会后回到泰山，更谆谆告诫门下弟子，与魔教邪魔势不两立…… 生命　█████ 5 防御　█████ 5 物理攻击█████ 5 招式攻击█████ 5 内功攻击| 0 内功辅助██ 2 异术攻击██████████ 10 异术辅助███████ 7 泰山派攻防能力都很弱，因此请尽量远离前线。虽然高等级时还是有些不错的剑招，但是考量生命安全，还是闪远点吧！泰山的内功「凝气聚心」一系，能少量增加防御与血量，不过不太实用。所以，既然选泰山派，就要善用他的优点──异术啰！泰山的异术可是非常多样而全面的，以攻击性的来说，星火咒等能直接使用闪电伤害敌方，火炎符更等异术威力更大，绝对能烧的对手哇哇叫！热血符等异术则能使对象随着时间的流逝持续失血，而微风符等异术甚至能在伤害之余还让敌方迷惑！还有恐怖的地震符，能使大范围的敌人受伤。泰山辅助性的异术也很有看头。许多异术能直接降低对方的能力，如降低各种属性、降低速度、使敌人变笨…等等。部份异术能增加自己的能力，如增加少量的防御力、增加自己的聪慧等。还有一个很重要的辅助异术，就是招唤玩家的尸体！尤其在某些危险地区，如果没有泰山派的帮助，辛苦找来的珍宝很可能就会因无法捡尸体而消失！！日月神教（关键字——下毒、吸血、单挑）重重的关卡，绵延的山道，要进入壁垒森严的黑木崖比登天还难。这里便是武林中最神秘也最强大的教派──日月神教的总坛。十数年前，前任教主任我行突然猝死，在新任东方教主的带领下，更是好生兴旺，逐一收服三山五岳的杂门小帮，更自号东方不败，意气风发，有一统江湖之雄心壮志。但近年来，东方教主忽然不理俗事，所有教务都交给总管杨莲亭处理…… 生命　██████ 6 防御　█████ 5 物理攻击█████ 5 招式攻击██████ 6 内功攻击██████████ 10 内功辅助█████ 5 异术攻击█████████ 9 异术辅助█████ 5 日月神教在物理攻击上跟泰山派一样乏善可陈，因此也请远离前线！日月神教在内功方面倒是有些不错的能力。日月神教的内功大部份都能对敌人造成伤害，例焰阳劲能直接打伤对手，某些内功则能消耗或吸取敌人的精力、甚至血量。某些内功还能伤害自己，得到策力。不过，日月神教真正的优势还是在于各种威力强大的伤害性异术。神教善于使蛊使毒，而且往往在伤害敌人之余还附加不利的状态。例如蛊系的百虫囓体，除了能使敌人随着时间流逝渐渐失血，还能让敌人的攻击速度变慢。某些蛊术还能直接吸敌人的血！毒系则是单纯地使敌人慢慢失血而已，不过威力比蛊系还要强大。当然还有直接伤害敌人的异术，例如二十级可学的惊天万轰掌！除了伤害性的异术，日月神教还有某些辅助性的异术，例如飞蝇蛊能使玩家速度变快、羽蜂蛊能使玩家跳的比较高，还有一!些媚惑敌人或使敌人恐惧的异术。如果选择神教，建议玩家在气海、聪慧这两项属性上多加些点数。因为日月神教这两方面都颇强，交互使用一定能对敌方造成重大伤害！无门派 (关键字——肉盾、引怪、害人) 江湖可不是名门正派或是左道之士的舞台而已。许多不起眼的市井之徒，或许也是武林中的前辈耆宿！这些无门无派的高人，可能是卖馄饨的老叟，可能是拉琴卖艺的老者，也有可能是满身补丁的乞丐。武林中的风风雨雨，不是他们所在意的，不过少了他们，江湖又何以为江湖？生命　██████████ 10 防御　██████████ 10 物理攻击███████ 7 招式攻击█████ 5 内功攻击| 0 内功辅助| 0 异术攻击| 0 异术辅助| 0 千万不要看到上面的分析图就以为无门派很差喔！许多无门派的优点都是上表所无法表达的。无门派不会一般门派所使用的招式、内功、异术，但是无门派有些特别的优点。举例来说，无门派虽然不会使用招式，物理攻击时无法因武学基本招的加成而加强伤害，不过无门派可以使用所有武器，包括刀剑等各门派都能使用的武器，还有枪、棍、鞭等奇门兵器，甚至还能使用远距离的弓剑，而这些其门派无法使用的兵器，往往都比同等级的剑强上不少。再加上远近武器的搭配运用，使无门派在物理功击方面非常强且富于变化。另一方面，无门派可以穿戴各种重型盔甲，防御力比其它门派强上一大截。因此，虽然无门派没有武功招式，但反而是最适合进行肉搏战的强力角色！尤其在战局危急之时，更是能吸引敌人攻击，掩护队友撤退的不二人选！最后，在未来将开放的技能系统里，无门派也占有非常重要的地位，某些特别的技能，可是只有无门派才能学习的喔！生技系统善用生技系统，不用打怪也有傲人装备！笑网路版中的生活技能技系统独到之处，在于提供给玩家另类的武器与防具取得途径。目前的生技共有：酒量、游泳、装死、挑衅、渔猎、采集、挖掘、集虫、锻造、裁缝、制药、烹饪、酿造、炼金、制蛊共十五种。想要制作道具，首先要准备好所需要的各种材料、工具，并且具备制造这件道具所需的技能。据说无门派还要开放偷盗、开锁等特殊技能，后来也没见开。技能上限最高等级为200，但因为每个派的专长不一样，上限也不一样。酒量、游泳所有门派的上限都为200。装死、嘲讽为无门派专有。集虫、制蛊为日月神教专有。渔猎200 无门派、衡山派。采集200 无门派、华山派。挖掘200 无门派、恒山派。锻造200 无门派。裁缝200 无门派。制药200 恒山派。烹饪200 嵩山派。酿造200 华山派。游戏版本编辑 1.0版本资料不详，个人推测是最早的内测版本。 2001年5-11月台湾地区，界面与2.0差距较大，贴图不完善，无统一客户端 2.0版本——资料片《无敌任我行》发布时间：2002.1.12 笑网公测时使用的版本，也是笑网最鼎盛的时期。（以下资料来自网络，内容不详，仅供参考。）主要内容 1、新劲侠客生活生技系统的全面开放，提供所有有志之玩家及线上大侠白手起家、生涯DIY的实用指南。（开放生活技能） 2、新颖操作感觉 3D的游戏引擎+2D的操控模式=5D的全新梦幻组合。45°角全新视角，让玩家简单上手、畅享无敌快感。（5D……这就是资料片上所谓的无敌） 3、新兴武林界面线上即时卫星导航系统全新启动！让喜爱四处乱闯的玩家们不再迷失江湖。（坐标定位？） 4、新奇江湖事件全新开放日月魔教四大精妙场景，让玩家身陷险境，绝妙事件层出不穷。（个人推测是黑木崖密谷、西湖地道、秦王墓、蓝月教这四个场景。） 5、新任门派��性即使没加入任何名门帮派，玩家也可以获得神兵利器，好好给它闯荡江湖一下。（费解……难道是传说中的七神兵？） 2.5版本——资料片《东方再起》发布时间：2002.4 混乱时代的开始，也是笑网衰败的起始点。主要内容 1、与笑傲外传结合《笑傲江湖II外传——东方再起》破关后的得到密码，从官方网站上输入可以换取四件游戏中装备——乱世剑、紫凤银袍、青龙金甲、太平刀。 2、二转系统——《天元八方推脉图》官方的说法叫做易筋经推脉图。 3、新增浪人任务新增荒木岩秦典我抽签任务以及外传汇入的道具宁神暖玉、募兵状、雪珠粉和聚魂鼎对应的浪人支线任务。 4、新增场景开封府、思过崖密洞、荒木岩、南澳群岛、南澳岛地下基地、朱仙镇、P4谷。 5、新增NPC、武器、装备、音效等。 3.0版本——资料片《一统江湖》发布时间：2002.9.19 极度混乱的BUG时代，部分的玩家因此离开。（修改武功、三尸脑神丹、刷场景、复制、蛊侠）主要内容 1、等级上限提升为70级。 2、新增各派七十级相关武学、内功、异术。 3、开放三十六天剑任务、倚天剑任务、华山魔教长老任务、泰山伏羲神任务、少林黑暗大日如来任务等。 4、新增场景少林寺、少林十八铜人密道、攻城战区（五霸岗、仙霞岭、回雁楼、太平庄、云梦山、挂剑台）、火雷噬亨峰、论剑坛（临时钱庄）、英雄殿、思过崖密洞、南澳群岛、南澳地下基地（怀疑最后三个场景是2.5新增的，但当时未开放） 5、新增场景相关NPC和怪物、60~70武器装备等。 3.5版本——资料片《旭日之战》发布时间：2003.1.23 其实没有这部资料片，名字是我自己瞎掰的，但内容确有其事。（各式各样的道具包开始繁衍。）主要内容 1、等级上限提升为80级。 2、新增各派80级武学、内功、异术。 3、新增80级任务旭日之战（密木崖密谷真究级东方不败）。 4、新增桂林密境、顺天城近郊、密木崖密谷相关怪物。 5、通元谷开放打木桩活动，每周的排名第一位的玩家，可以找GM领取本门的超炫武器一把。 4.0版本——资料片《血战少室山》发布时间：2003.10.1 笑网的最后一部资料片，可惜于事无补，未能拯救笑网的命运。主要内容 1、各门派平衡性进行调整。 2、新增黄保坪、少室山、达摩洞三个场景。 3、新增血战少室山任务（达摩任务）。 4、新增80级武器、70~80级装备。游戏特色编辑轻功什么？武侠游戏没轻功？那还叫武侠吗？笑网独创的轻功系统，那种飞檐走壁的真实感，至今还未见到哪个网游可以超越。搜宝手动从怪物的尸体上开取物品，如果出了宝贝，那种成就感是无法表达的（感叹！这就是手气啊）。任务任务系统不咋地，但给人的自由空间却很大，你可以选择性的去做或者不做，毕竟不是每个人都喜欢跑腿……哪像现在的网游，强制性的任务，你一天不做任务就感觉比人家亏。聊天笑网就相当于一个大型3D聊天室。网络游戏注重的是人与人的沟通，难怪现在的网游越来越像单机了。组队打怪够传统不？够无聊不？笑网当初怎么就能吸引人不知疲倦的杀怪？歌手加个上河，你去引怪回来，按下快捷键X、F就可以解放双手打字聊天了；当然，不要只顾着和恒山MM聊，小心造成人员伤亡。好感度 NPC对你的好感度高时，你们进行交易的价格会得到优惠，如果敌人攻击你，NPC还会帮你扁他；NPC对你的好感度低时，会拒绝与你交易甚至交谈，搞不好还会打你喔！恶意杀害NPC会降低好感，做一些行侠仗义之类的任务可以增加好感度。门派平衡性游戏一直在强调这个，门派平衡我想就是所谓各派都有优缺点，从而达到互补的效果。导致的结果就是笑网得到了“史上第一款强迫玩家组队的网游”称号。这样的话，倒也不用怕找不到队聊天了。 2.0嵩山攻击强，恒山提高生存，衡山提高攻击，泰山后期出有群攻，无门装死控怪，日月单挑无敌，只有华山弱的一塌糊涂、一无是处。 3.0辟邪葵花问世，倚天剑复出，战神归来，人人都可自宫，人人都可当打手，衡山恒山拿倚天用辟邪接近无敌，泰山有战神独霸悬空太室。华山仍然不出众，但是却笑了，你嵩山派也有今天。 4.0取消了辟邪的攻击，加强了华山派、嵩山派、无门派，华山派终于苦尽甘来，有了出头之日，所谓的门派平衡这时才算完成，但笑网却没多少人了…… BUG 笑网没有外挂，但BUG却是层次不穷。正所谓痛并快乐着，BUG伴随着笑网从兴盛到衰落，也算是游戏一大特色吧？怀疑笑网有一批专门研究BUG的人才……现统计一些本人知道的重大BUG。控怪：无门派装死技能的BUG，也叫无门隐身法，后被修复。延迟换剑法：利用打怪时间差来完成，低攻低延换高攻低延，后被修复。复制：复制出现过的方法太多，粗略统计有挂尸、钱庄、过黄线、交易、刷服等等……野火烧不尽，春风吹又生，笑网关闭的时候复制仍然存在，详情请参阅《飞烟红绸是怎样泛滥的？》的一书。复制带来的间接伤害有蛊侠、镖行天下。场景卡怪：怪物从高空落下时会和玩家一样，摔空血和麻痹。根据这一原理，利用场景漏洞，可以让角色悬浮在空中游泳，并吸引怪物从高处下落，然后一刀切。主要可以利用的场景是思过崖密洞，这是一项极具操作性的BUG。三尸脑神丹：利用敏迅为0时躲闪除内功外所有攻击的BUG。配合蛊类使用，就可以被称之为蛊侠。后属性被修改为1，蛊类效果也被削弱，只能日月神教使用。修改器：以金山游侠最为著名，代表作有修改武功（吸星、九阴）、修改汇入道具（钨金某某披肩、GM某某袍、至尊某某戒、百辟守命某某丹）、装死跑、悬空卡怪法（真的是悬在空中，配合梅花针使用效果更佳）、其他（复制、刷服等）独占交易：最早公布的有挖掘下线独占交易法，后被修复，其他方法不详。独占交易被誉为笑网难度最大BUG，其方法也只掌握在少数人手中，能发现这个BUG绝对是高手中的高手，可以用不是人来形容。隐身攻击：打怪时间差的延伸版，使用百鬼夜行蛊、隐身丸、凤凰穿云可达到此效果，后被修复。无敌不死号：利用交易时不能转换场景，引发人体极限，就算被打死也不会倒下，但是只能挨打，不能攻击。主要用来吸引火力，后被人发挥到英雄殿。修改文件：基础应用，少林密道删门；高级应用，游戏更新文件还原。一号双登：一个帐号的两个角色可以同时使用，后升级为一个角色在某些场景可以同时使用两个，具体用于复制以及删号刷服。刷场景：多扔点RMB到地上就刷了，利国利民，造福苍生。刷服务器：性质极其恶劣，手段极其残忍，只能令人发指来形容。（讽刺的是，根据不完全可靠消息表明，笑网最后是被玩家刷关的。）最后，附《十款网络游戏死亡的原因报告》。五、《笑傲江湖网络版》——幸福的死去死亡原因：退役产品昱泉国际的自主开发运营的《笑傲江湖网络版》无疑是第一批国产网络游戏的成功者之一，自2001年底推出了这款号称亚洲第一款武侠3d网络游戏，采用的是第二代lizard 3d技术引擎，让国内玩家看到了国产3d游戏的希望。再加上以金庸作品为招牌，引起众多玩家青睐，并非偶然。无奈两年后的今天，游戏界3d技术飞速发展，《笑网》的3d技术已从卖点走向缺陷，而另一卖点“纯中文”在今日也变的平淡无奇，该是“退役”的时候了。虽然资料片出到了3.0版本，想重新吸引玩家的目光，依我看是难上加难，倒不如把自己的《流星蝴蝶剑》出成mmorpg的网络游戏版，这样才是更好的出路。“人在江湖飘，岂能不挨刀”，至于《笑网》，钱赚够了，就让它幸福的死去吧，旧的结束意味着新的开始。个人总结笑网的逝去，是我们最不希望发生，最不愿意看到的事实。至于玩家与开放商到底孰对孰错，已是无关紧要的话题了。也许正如上文作者所说，笑网寿命真的到了尽头，是该让她好好休息了。岁月的流逝无法磨灭笑网在我们心中的地位，是笑网圆了我们心中的一个武侠梦想，而她，将永远留在我们这一代人的心中，永远…… Rarepair Exchange Guidelines

Welcome to the DMBJ Rarepairs Exchange! This is a fic and art exchange for the fandom rarepairs, which we’re defining as any DMBJ ship which currently has less than 3% of DMBJ fic authors who have posted English-language fics for it on AO3.

In this exchange, participants will be anonymously matched to create gifts for one another during a two month creating period.

This exchange is open to all the DMBJ canons - if it’s DMBJ, then it’s eligible! It will take place on AO3, so you need an AO3 account to participate--if you don’t have one, you can request an invitation code here. If there isn’t enough time, no worries - contact the mods at [email protected] or here on tumblr (preferred) and we can send you an invitation!

Guidelines

Your creation must focus on your recipient’s requested ship (or one or more of their requested ships, if they have nominated multiple ones). While unrequested background ships - including background ships which weren't eligible for Rarepair Exchange themselves - are fine (unless listed as a Do Not Want), the focused ship/s must be one or more of the requested ships. 1a. In polyamorous ships that comprise of a ship that would not be eligble on its own plus additional character/s, the focus of the requests and the works created for them must lie on the overall rarepair ship (for existing relationship works) or on addition of the new character/s, not on the non-eligible ship/s of the polycule (for example, a work created for a request of Baye/Zhang Qishan/Yin Xinyue must either focus on the three as a whole, or focus on Yin Xinyue becoming part of the relationship. The Baye/Zhang Qishan relationship must not be the focus).

You will be expected to create a gift matching your recipient’s request. Filling any specifying prompts is not obligatory, but try to create something you honestly think your recipient will enjoy!

You must not include anything that your recipient has listed as a DNW (Do Not Want).

The minimum requirements for the gifts are 300 words for fic or one sketch on unlined paper for art (traditional or digital; no manips).

After the matching is done, all the requests will be made visible to everyone to allow for treating! There are no minimum requirements for treats (but remember to mind your recipient’s do not wants!). You can also create manips and fanvids for treats.

This is an anonymous exchange: refrain from discussing your assignment in public. After the works are revealed, there'll be one week anon period when the creators remain anonymous before the creator reveals.

If at any point you need to drop out, just click on the “default” button on your AO3 assignment page (https://archiveofourown.org/users/YOURNAME/assignments); we’ll find a pinch hitter to create a gift for your recipient instead. If you need an extension to finish your gift, contact the mods before the deadline.

If you’re interested in a canon that is not currently a tag on AO3, such as the South Sea Archives, Moonfall Echo, or the donghua, you can say in your request details that you would like something in one of these canons. Please be aware, though, that the more obscure your request, the harder it will be for your gifter.

This does not mean that you’re limited to requesting or creating a work during the canon timelines for those series/books. It’s just to mark which canons you’re familiar with to allow for easier matching: some participants might have a preference for a particular canon era, some might not be familiar with all the versions. You still have to choose your preferred canon eras even if you want to create or receive an AU.

Request

In this section, you describe the gift you would like to receive.

Fandom - you have to choose at least one. If you’re willing to receive a gift in any canon era, you can just click “Any”!

Characters - you have to choose at least one character that you would like your gift to be about.

Relationships - you have to choose at least one rarepair that you would like your gifter to write / draw for you.

Genre/Additional Tags - you have to choose at least three tags.

Optional Details - here’s where you can go into more detail about your perfect exchange gift!

If you run out of slots in the Relationships section (there is a limit of 20), you can list additional potential rarepairs here. Also, if you don’t have a specific ship in mind, but would like any ship involving a particular character, you can say that instead (e.g. ‘Liu Sang / any’, ‘Pangzi / any’, etc.)

You can also include:

General Likes: your creator may, but doesn’t have to, include them. This isn’t a place for detailed prompts, just general themes you enjoy, like getting together or established relationship.

Please note that fics featuring QPRs, ace, and/or aro characters are absolutely valid things to request in a ship exchange. You may also request a fully platonic relationship if you wish.

DNW (Do Not Wants): things that your creator must not include - squicks, triggers, characters or things that you simply don’t like. Remember that you don’t owe anyone an explanation about why something is a DNW, and that DNW are not meant to be taken personally. Just list the things you don’t like, “DNW: X, Y.”

Prompts/specific ideas: if you have any prompts, you can also put them here! You can be as general or as detailed as you’d like, but remember that while your creator will try to make the best gift for you, filling a specific prompt is not obligatory. You can include a crossover prompt (with other DMBJ verse or other canons), but make sure it’s not the only prompt you have.

If you run out of space for your prompts, you can write a prompt post on another platform like Dreamwidth, Tumblr, GoogleDocs, etc. and put the link in your sign up.

If you chose novels as one of your fandoms, you can use this field to list the ones you’re familiar with, such as ‘Books 1-4′ , ‘main series only′, ‘main series + Southern Archives’, etc. If you're interested in receiving a Buried Tree Devil - Book 3 Donghua gift, you can also mention it here.

The requests will be made publicly visible after matching is done, so that others will be able to create treats (additional gifts) based on them!

Offer

Fandom - you have to choose at least one. If you can create works for any canon era, you can choose “Any”!

Characters - you have to choose at least one character you're willing to write about. If you're happy to write for any character, you can choose "Any".

Relationships - you have to choose at least one ship you're willing to write about. If you're happy to write for any ship, you can choose "Any".

Genre/Additional Tags - you have to choose at least three.

Optional Details - in this field, you can tell us more about the kind of works you like to create, for example if you really prefer established relationship, feel best with certain kinds of AUs, or like writing darkfic. We’ll take it into account when matching! By the same token, if there’s something you really don’t want to write, let us know here as well.

This includes any additional rarepairs and/or characters if you hit the 20 item limit abot, or relationship types that you particularly do or do not want to write for. If you list a preference about rarepairs / relationships to not for, we will endeavour to match you to a giftee who has not requested those things. If you do not specify a pairing to write or not write for, we will assume that you are okay with giving anything a shot!

In the optional details of your offer, you can also name anyone you don’t want to be matched to, for example your regular beta, and we will do our best to avoid matching you!

The offers will only ever be visible to the mods; never to anyone else.

Your assignment

You will be matched to create a gift for someone who requested at least one of the fandoms that you offer, with as many similar genres/likes as possible. This exchange will be hand-matched, after using AO3’s matching algorithm to first generate the potential matches.

If you have any issues when you receive your assignment (you have a question about it or think there’s an issue with it), contact the mods as soon as possible. Do not contact your recipient on your own.

You will have to create a gift for your recipient, fulfilling the minimum requirements of fandom, genre, and ship, and avoiding any stated "do not wants". Filling exact prompts is optional, but try to create something matching your recipient's likes that they will enjoy!

You will have to post your gift to the exchange AO3 collection before the due date (November 30th), using the "gift this work to" option to give it to your recipient. Your work will remain in the collection only visible to you and the mods until the reveals happen. Remember to tag your work appropriately or use the "chose not to warn" warning.

Treating

Treats are additional gifts for the participants! To allow for treating, the requests will be made visible when matching is done. You can create treats at any time until the creator reveals! There are no minimum requirements for treats, and in addition to fic and art, manips and fanvids are also allowed. As with assignments, you have to respect the recipient’s Do Not Want, and while the optional details are optional, try to create something fitting the listed likes. One treat can only be gifted to one person.

Pinch Hits

In case someone needs to drop out, we will look for a pinch hitter to complete their assignment. Pinch hits will be posted to this tumblr and the DMBJ Yu Cun Discord.

Extensions

If you think you can finish your assignment, but you need a day or two more, you can always ask the mods for an extension!

Multi-chapter Fics

If you are writing a multi-chapter fic for the exchange and don’t want to drop the entire fic at once, these are the posting guidelines for it:

Multi-chapter fics that are assignment fills must be fully written and at least the first chapter posted by the assignment deadline, ready for the fic reveals on December 10.

From December 10, at least one chapter is to be posted daily.

All chapters of the fic must be posted by the time of author reveals and end of treating on December 17 (If the fic is more than 7 chapters long, then this will mean that multiple chapters will need to be posted on some days).

Multi-chapter fics that are treats can begin to be posted at any time before December 17, but must also be fully posted by December 17.

Other important information

Make sure to check the email you use on AO3 frequently during the exchange, as it will be the primary means of communication. We might contact you if there is an issue with your sign-up or if your gift creator has a question for you.
