Okay so, please don’t shoot me in the head for this, but:

Before I see anyone claim mass deletion of blogs drawing attention to the unfair treatment of the demographic they’re apart of has never happened before, no one else goes through this, etc. Lemme remind y’all that this has been and is still happening with Black and Brown bloggers since…relatively forever. Black bloggers in particular were hit pretty hard during May 2020 when we were speaking out about George Floyd’s murder.

What I’m saying is, yes this has happened before, yes Tumblr will continue to mass delete both trans women and Black bloggers who dare not take the shit lying down. This is also where intersectionality comes in, because Black trans women are especially high risk for being silenced, both on and offline. I’m glad people are finally paying attention, but at the same time it sucks it took this long for a wider audience to catch on.

Right, considering the current state of corporate politics on this site, and that it seems that only those affected seem to be actively speaking on the matter, it is up to I, the only fucking cishet on tumblr, to drag this out to a wider audience.

Summary:

He pulls out the photos and texts that Xiao Hua sent him from a tomb somewhere in Shaanxi. Wu Xie has been putting together a translation of the murals for him. On top of his notes, there’s a smaller piece of paper with some words scribbled on it. Wu Xie squints at it, the characters blurring a little in front of his eyes, and doesn’t understand what it says. He blinks, confused, and squints at it again. The text doesn’t get any more legible. alternatively: man spends 3 hours trying to solve ancient script. turns out to be child's homework
