// Going through and grabbing new screencaps of season 1 and I gotta say...
I miss the brotp of Jeremie and Yumi. She was always going out of her way to check on him in his dorm and I freaking miss it. I mean I know in later seasons there's still some of it, but it really seems like there's bunch more in the first season. Granted, I guess Aelita was there in the other seasons but still...

Awful Characters Round 1 Part 1 (1/8)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Propaganda under the cut
THE SQUIP
It’s the evil supercomputer that tried to take over the world in order to make Jeremy popular. Also electrocuted and traumatized a handful of teenagers. It was manipulative, and forced Jeremy to listen and obey without question. Destroyed his friendship with Michael to become friends with popular kids, made Rich so suicidal he burned down his best friend’s house in an attempt to kill himself (technically it was Rich’s Squip, but they were synched up at the time, so it still counts). Dude just did awful things. Literally just listen to Be More Chill Part 1 and Pitiful children and you’ll get it. Yes it did all that. Consider this: it is blorbo. I’ve seen some crazy takes on the Squip. People really will just say anything on the internet.
WILLIAM AFTON
He sucks just… so bad. He’s an over the top villain who’s queercoded (the journals man. The journals). He apparently has a chamber that he locks people in and has them take a bunch of hallucinogenic gas. He can’t die. He’s been dead for decades. His son lived just the absolute worst life ever mainly because he looked like Will. He’s a wannabe mad scientist. His six year old undead robot daughter is more of a mad scientist than he is. His business partner hates his guts so much that said partner would rather burn to death than let him go free. He’s a furry. He doesn’t enjoy being a serial killer. He’s killed like twenty+ people in canon basically just for fun. He’s a theater kid. His fursuit has a time traveling ballpit at times. Every picture or drawing of him in the various threads of canon look like completely different people. He’s the worst

Reality Check
I read a fic recently that foolishly claimed that Jeremie was actually the safest whenever XANA attacked, and that the other four took much bigger risks by going to Lyoko all the time. While going to Lyoko does involve taking some risks (I mean, the Digital Sea can delete you forever if you fall into it), I pose that Jeremie's actually the most in danger during attacks, and I have proof, by listing all the times XANA’s attacked Jeremie.
Let's start with the Prequel, where it's revealed that XANA attacks everyone who knows about the Supercomputer (as evidenced with Sissi):
electrocuted by a vending machine
attacked by his own robots
attacked by XANA's electricity orb
Season 1:
"Holiday in the Fog": Almost poisoned by XANA's fog; he only makes it out thanks to Ulrich and Yumi
"Image Problem": Almost falls to his death thanks to Clone!Yumi, but is saved by a RTTP just in time
"Plagued": Attacked by a pack of rats; this one's actually milder compared to others, because he quickly discovers the rats' weakness and a way to exploit it
"Swarming Attack": Attacked by a swarm of hornets multiple times; again mild, because he finds ways to exploit their weaknesses
"The Trap": Attacked by the possessed factory equipment, such as the mechanical arms as well as the boilers
"Laughing Fit": Attacked by the laughing gas; it actually chases him away from the factory and into the sewers before it gets him (to be fair, though, I must acknowledge that the laughing gas also weakened Odd on Lyoko)
"Killer Music": Attacked by XANA's song (which cannot be played on Lyoko; at least, as far as we know)
"The Robots": Is the first Lyokowarrior the robot attacks, but is saved by Ulrich
"Routine": XANA's attack is aimed at the three on Lyoko now, and Jeremie attempts to fix the circuits XANA messed up, but when he manages to find it, he gets electrocuted upon touching it.
"Ghost Channel": Chased by XANA-zombies and later almost crushed by cables (though to be fair, he's technically on Lyoko both times)
An important note: In "False Start", while Jeremie's never attacked, I should point out that on Lyoko, if you get hit one too many times by a Kankrelot, you devirtualize and go back to Earth, but if the same thing happens to you on Earth, there's no virtual aspect to save you. You die, as almost demonstrated by Jim.
Season 2:
"A Great Day": Is a XANA-possessed Sissi's first victim; he manages to escape thanks to Odd and Ulrich
"Mister Puck": Is possessed by XANA, who uses him to not only destroy the physical copy of Franz Hopper's diary but also to kidnap Aelita and bring her to Lyoko; a further note: it's theorized that the more you fight on Lyoko, the more resistance you build up to being possessed by XANA (in the real world, at least), meaning Jeremie's more vulnerable in this aspect than the others are
"Final Mix": Attacked by a XANA-possessed Jim and then tied up so he can't interfere or call the others for help
"The Chips Are Down": Attacked and knocked out by a XANA-possessed Nicolas (almost twice); note: once Jeremie is out, Nicolas sabotages the scanner (which makes monster fire on Lyoko a lot more painful)
"Common Interest": Kidnapped by a XANA-possessed Peter Duncan (a criminal) so he can change the battery; afterwards, an ungrateful XANA regains possession of Duncan and attempts to kill Jeremie as the others deactivate the tower (Ulrich even admits that he's staying in the lab so he can defend Jeremie from Duncan)
"Temptation": Jeremie uses frequent RTTPs in order to increase his own intelligence (which costs him his own mental health), and XANA takes advantage of that, possessing the ambulance he's in and driving it into the river.
"A Bad Turn": See 'False Start' above, as the same point should be noted here. Krabs on Lyoko mean devirtualization, but Krabs in the real world mean death. Another point should be made that the Krabs come to Earth through the scanners, and that Jeremie is only safe because Odd keeps the third (the one that destroys the last working scanner) busy.
"Attack of the Zombies": Is bitten by Kiwi and turned into a zombie (while those on Lyoko are safe from being bitten)
"XANA's Kiss": Gets electrocuted by a polymorphic spector
"Tip-Top Shape": Attacked by a XANA-possessed Nurse Yolanda
"Is Anybody Out There?": Attacked by the spectre XANA sends multiple times
"Franz Hopper": Do I have to say it? Nearly choked to death by a polymorphic spectre in revenge for foiling XANA's plot; That's leaving out that XANA used Franz Hopper to target and demonize Jeremie directly. That's not "being the safest during an attack".
Season 3 (this one is shorter only because this season is a mere 13 episodes):
"False Lead": XANA hacks into a weapon's manufacturing computer network and leaves a paper trail pointing to Jeremie, and later possesses one of the Men in Black to attack him. Again, that's not what I'd call "safe".
"The Pretender": Chased by a flock of XANA-possessed crows, and later attacked and knocked out by them (note: these crows almost kill Yumi)
"Triple Trouble": Almost turned to stone via XANA's fog, but this one's mild because he stands up in his chair to avoid the fog
"Double Trouble": His XANA-double attempts to drown him before taking his place, and when Jeremie reveals the truth to Odd, his double returns to kill him again and throws him down the elevator shaft. Jeremie returns (yet again), and his double tries to kill him (again) along with Ulrich. Again, far from "being the safest".
Season 4 (note: I should point out that this season makes it increasingly obvious that Jeremie is essentially becoming Franz Hopper 2.0, which likely angers XANA, given its main goal being to destroy the original in this season):
"Double Take": Despite Jeremie's best efforts, his tower is taken over by XANA, thus resulting in yet another XANA-possessed Jeremie clone, which attacks the real Jeremie (and Odd) in the lab.
"Opening Act": Attacked by a polymorphic spectre, until Ulrich and Odd arrive with Chris and Jim
"Crash Course": This episode's entire plot revolves around the dangers Jeremie faces while in the lab (Jeremie even admits that he and Aelita are XANA's frequent targets). Here, XANA knocks him out with a polymorphic spectre electrocuting him.
"I'd Rather Not Talk About It": Chased by a XANA-possessed boar, especially since he chooses to stay behind and help Jim (who gets hurt defending him)
"The Lake": Almost electrocuted to death (along with Odd) by XANA's electricity-blasted sludge
"A Lack of Goodwill": Beaten by a XANA-possessed William when he tries to stop him from destroying the Supercomputer
"Guided Missile": Trapped inside a jet that XANA forces to fire a missle at the factory with; later, XANA makes the jet go out of the control to get rid of him; here, Jeremie is legitmately only saved thanks to the RTTP.
"Canine Conundrum": Attacked by Kiwi 2 robot clones
"Cousins Once Removed": Attacked and chased by a XANA-possessed Sissi when he comes to stop her and Herve from hacking his computer; he also almost loses his cousin Patrick to the attack
"Music to Soothe the Savage Beast": Attacked by a XANA-possessed Subdigitals' manager
"Fight to the Finish": Is knocked out by William after XANA repossesses him
One final note: I'm not counting Evolution, because XANA's changed targets (for some reason) to the four holding his Codes, and Jeremie's not included in that group. Also, the XANA attacks are very mild compared to the animated series.
In conclusion, the person that said that Jeremie was the safest during attacks probably won't ever see this post, but I felt the need to write this post anyway. As you can see, in reality, Jeremie is far from being the safest. He's actually the one the most in danger, and Season 4 spells out that he and Aelita are XANA's most frequent targets (for a good reason). Also, keep in mind that, early on, it’s established that a RTTP won't revive someone who dies to a XANA attack.
Long story short: Double check your facts before making a claim.

Okay I have a lot of thoughts on the apology scene during The Play, prepare for a mini essay!
First of all, I’ve seen people upset that Michael asks for an apology before giving Jeremy the Red, since y’know, time is kind of the essence when your brain is being hijacked by a supercomputer, but I think it’s very fair from his POV to ask for this. Like yeah, he knows a fair bit about squips, but he definitely doesn’t have the whole picture. He researched them yes, but he’s not an expert and mostly just going off a few anecdotal stories and not much else. He certainly doesn’t understand just how bad the squips are, and as evidenced from what happens right after this moment, isn’t aware the Squip can take over Jeremy’s body, at least in the capacity that it does. So he’s definitely not sensing the whole danger when he does this, and I’d imagine he probably wouldn’t ask for an apology if he fully understood the situation.
ALSO a point I wanted to mention that I don’t think I’ve seen anybody talk about is that Michael demanding an apology might’ve actually worked out in their benefit? Like, consider what would have happened if he hadn’t. Yeah, Jeremy gets his hands on it right then, but the Squip would’ve likely just taken control of his body and dumped it earlier. Maybe in a way that they wouldn’t have been able to salvage it. I mean, we know the Squip had the proper energy/mental standing to overpower Jeremy at this moment, but not after.
Also, while obviously the Squip is manipulating Jeremy, his actions are still partially his fault. Michael deserves an apology, though admittedly not ideally while he’s holding the one thing Jeremy needs over his head. Narratively, I think making Jeremy apologize to Michael at the climax of the action works really well. When you look into the themes of this story, it’s clear the Squip represents societal pressure, so you can also view this story as one about a kid who chooses these pressures over maintaining his closest relationships. Taking into account this secondary plot, it makes sense to address the fact that Jeremy needs to try to fix his relationship with Michael in order to end his arc with the Squip. Also, I really love how this narrative presents in their ensuing fight — yes, the Squip forces Jeremy to argue with Michael, but everything he says is clearly something Jeremy actually feels. He is genuinely jealous that Michael is okay with being a loser. This of course ties back into the Squip representing societal pressure, and it’s this pressure that causes Jeremy to think this way. I love that! I think it’s really important to showcase this dynamic in their relationship before moving on to stopping the evil robots.

OK, I made this post a few months ago vaguely musing on a possible modern day continuity reboot of Code Lyoko by its current copyright owners (who, as of this post, are a company named Dargaud) and what would differentiate the reboot from the original. I wanna dump a bunch of ideas here about what the hypothetical reboot could entail. And I would love to see other fans of the show who see this post to reblog with their own ideas of what could be done with such a reboot. Even any ideas that contradict a previous reblogger's or even my own.
This post got big, so I'm putting it under a read more.
Around the mid 2000s, in the height of the War on Terror, an international joint group pulls an old scrapped counterterrorism idea from the 1970s out of the mothballs called "Project Carthage" (if the studio doesn't want to make overt references to the War on Terror in a kids' show, it could at least be vaguely alluded to as a reason for pulling the old project back out). Some of the most brilliant minds are put to work on recommissioning and modernizing Project Carthage, including Waldo F. Schaeffer and his partner in every regard, Anthea Hopper. When Waldo and Anthea discover some in the project have darker intentions for Carthage, they quit in protest.
Like original canon, they move to a cabin in the mountains and have Aelita, only for Anthea to get taken in an effort to get to Waldo, and he runs with Aelita to the suburbs of Paris where he changes his name to Franz Hopper. Covertly drawing from old resources and secretly securing and old bunker below the former site of a car factory on the Seine River, running an underground tunnel from the bunker to a secret passage in the basement of his house as well as the service tunnels below the gymnasium building of the school he works at under his new identity. Over the next several years, he builds a powerful computer server in the bunker based on concepts he'd been helping develop for Project Carthage based around the rise in virtual reality software, as well as three revolutionary chambers with mass-to-energy capabilities to turn real objects and people into living data that can travel through and interact with virtual environments. He calls the world he creates within the server "Lyoko", based on the Japanese word for travel. The agents who took Anthea track down Hopper and Aelita, they escape to Lyoko where XANA turns on them, Hopper turns off the computer form the inside, basically the same song and dance there.
Early 2020s, a prodigy student named Jeremy Belpois with a knack for programming and drone-building attends Kadic Academy, one year in advance. While looking around the gymnasium storage for old discarded robotic parts he can repurpose, Jeremy accidentally wanders into an underground tunnel that gut instinct says probably wasn't officially school-sanctioned. He follows the tunnel until he discovers an abandoned bunker with a large computer server that looks straight out of science fiction. A quick check of the map on his phone tells Jeremy he's beneath Seguin Island, opposite the end where that new music and performing arts center was recently built. Fascinated by the big supercomputer just lying dormant in an old underground island bunker, Jeremy turns it on to take a look at what it contains and see what it may have been used for. He's shocked to discover an entire advanced virtual reality environment within the server and even more shocked when he accidentally awakens a sophisticated AI in the form of an amnesiac young girl.
Over the next couple of days of sneaking out to study the supercomputer's programming and get to know the virtual girl (he could nickname her Maya only to learn her real name later, like in old canon, or they could learn her name is Aelita sooner by means of something like some line of identifying code), Jeremy finds himself mysteriously targeted by minor cyber threats and strange mishaps with machinery, but he's unable to prove anything to school authorities. Ulrich Stern, athlete kid of a wealthy school benefactor and the classmate Jeremy had been assigned to tutor, catches Jeremy in the act of sneaking off, and he reluctantly lets him in on the secret. While studying the hardware and software of the supercomputer, they learn what the chambers, or "scanners", are capable of, which is essentially like putting on a VR set but instead stepping physically into the VR itself, rather than remotely controlling an avatar from the real world.
The cyber threats worsen until Yumi Ishiyama, Ulrich's sparring partner from one grade above them, ends up involved. Together, they discover that the attacks are coming from a disembodied entity within the server's hard drive named XANA, who is using one of the numerous towers within Lyoko to interface with the real world and attack the people who have been messing with the supercomputer. It's discovered that Aelita is a recognized authority within the system that can shut off the towers when they are activated, and the group forms a pact to help Aelita get to these towers in secret while Jeremy works on a potential energy-to-mass ("materialization") program that can create a physical body for Aelita to help her escape the virtual world.
Just a week after the pact is made, a new transfer student named Odd Della Robbia begins school at Kadic, and a shortage of dormitory space prompts the principal to make him and Ulrich roommates, marking the start of the series. Odd is naturally roped into the shenanigans surrounding Lyoko and XANA due to his frequent interactions with Ulrich, and he is let in on the secret as well as the story of how Jeremy discovered the supercomputer in the first place. If the Return to the Past is used in the reboot continuity (RTTP in the original was created per executive meddling initially preventing the use of an overarching plot, but it's still a useful plot device), Jeremy may have figured out its activation sequence after Odd was initiated.
The plot would revolve around fighting XANA in secret as they try to create a means for Aelita to leave Lyoko as well as try to search the supercomputer and the bunker housing it for clues as to who created it. Details that weren't conceived yet in production of the original series' first season could be sprinkled into the reboot's first season. Like obscure gossip about an old science teacher who disappeared one day and an old boarded up house at the far end of the forest that's avoided by students due to rumors of it being haunted. Characters that weren't thought up until subsequent seasons, like Hiroki, could also appear earlier. The Lyoko Warriors may at some point discover that their secret tunnel to the bunker has a side passage with a secure door that's heavily locked from inside the tunnel, exploring what's beyond that door only to discover that they're inside that abandoned house.
Aesthetics-wise, I could see potential in the reboot's crew using some sort of mix between designs in the original series and redesigns that were made for the Evolution sequel series (not using live-action, of course; the real world would probably be animated as it was in the original). Smart phones and tablets would also be prevalent in the setting, as Jeremy would more likely make use of those than lug around a whole laptop computer everywhere. The Lyoko Warriors could easily make use of this kind of technology in keeping track of XANA's activities as well as keep in touch with Aelita while she lives in Lyoko. Odd could also use his own smartphone in creating his short films. Ideally, a new continuity could be taken advantage of to poke a little more at the mystery of Project Carthage, the disappearance of Aelita's mother, and everything that spurred Hopper into creating the supercomputer, Lyoko, and XANA in the first place. While the Chronicles novel series is noncanon and contradicts the show's mythos in numerous ways, lore aspects from there could still be sprinkled into the reboot and retooled to fit the animated version of things.

is it because of the mind control tictac joke? /j
(no but fr if you wanna share please share :eyes: )
okay GOODNESS GRACIOUS i can't fine the rant about it i SWEAR it was on this blog but anyways
this isn't really a solid au thing but i think it would be interesting to explore anyways its under the cut i guess
basically like?? the squip squad works with squips i guess?? it's a very vague au and it would technically follow the events of ij in a very thinly veiled way?? idk this is mostly just me thinking about them doing shenanigans in a cognito-esque setting (and with the events of the show the roles wouldn't serve as what they do in the situation because it would fluctuate based off whats most in character)
SO CHARACTER ROLES...
this is based off more premise of what they do vs the expectation of matching personality because i like experimentation <3
michael would be in reagan's role based off the fact that he knows the most about the squips with rich following a close second, and also because i put...
jeremy in the role of brett!!! hoo boy angst train choo choo!! he becomes a new hire and eventually gets into a nostalgia max type situation with a vat of weird sciency old mtn dew <3 anyways...
jeremy's SQUIP would be robotus alpha beta?? evil robot tries to take over humanity?? oh well now you're ab okay? <3 so jeremy is the one to sort of revive squip in this situation because he's like "okay yeah squips are useful and this squip is powerful i guess?? okay hi squip" and he bribes him with the first 6 episodes of the good place instead of friends because the good place is a good freaking show
the other roles fluctuate quite a bit but it's more or less the rest of the guys as the rest of the gang, maybe possibly rich as andre or something
jenna would be in gigi's role because they have. QUITE a bit in common. i legit looked at gigi like oh, you're known for gossip and spreading information AND you get pushed aside and ignored most of the time and no one appreciates you for your other qualities?? wow that totally doesn't sound like a certain character from a musical from 2015 about supercomputers ahahahaha
also i think chloe works alongside jenna too because i dont wanna forget about the other girls </3
im making christine and brooke a duo because I CARE THEM SO MUCH <3 i wish i could assign brooke a role other than glenn's </3 christine would also be in a brett type of role i think?? her and jeremy get combined because i can do that
jake and rich are still a duo so they're in the roles of andre and myc i GUESS
SORRY FOR THE LONG ASS POST I'M SO NORMAL ABOUT EVERYTHING EVER

Rough concepts for CL/ML(read: HC) crossover.
1) Startrain situation where after a losing a robot competition in Paris, Herb is akumatized when he gets back to Kadic.
2) The above but the akuma is xanafied before contact with Herb putting Team Lyoko on a tighter clock to deactivate the tower before Team Miraculous gets potentially xanafied after the akuma is purified.
3) XANA puts out a false alarm on the Ladyblog to xanafy Chat Noir to Cataclysm the Core of Lyoko. (XANA framed Jeremy for terrorism in one episode and Cataclysming the supercomputer itself can be fixed with the Miraculous Cure.)
4) Combine all 3!
AHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAAHAAHAHA

I would like to ask you about your Sissi Delmas AU and also your thoughts about Jeremie and Ulrich because I'm very intrigued I hadn't considered that pairing seriously before so if you could tell me your headcanons that'd be great :D
ahh! so! I've been sitting on this fic for years and I need to go back and rework the first four chapters because I accidentally wrote myself into a bit of a corner (even though I've had the ending in my mind this entire time, d'oh). but it's about taking the very earliest point in canon (Jeremie looking for parts for his robots, which leads him to exploring the factory) and using it as a springboard for a canon divergence where things go WILDLY differently and Sissi ends up discovering the supercomputer instead.
I adore Sissi Delmas, she's petulant and awful and resourceful and brave, and I am really enjoying writing her in situations where she has to step up to these problems that are much, much bigger than she is and throw herself at them with all the brute force a bratty teenage girl can muster. This AU is such an adventure because I get to write all my favourite things - high stakes drama, seldom-seen character interactions, and of course backstory!
Re Jeremie/Ulrich - they have such a soft, sweet dynamic y'know? I am a sucker for opposites attract aesthetics so that whole nerd and jock duo thing is like catnip to me. They have a great connection from the moment we see them in XANA Awakens. It's shown that Ulrich is quiet and reserved, but he falls into this wry, casual banter with Jeremie so easily. And Jeremie meets him on that same level. They seem to just instantly get each other.
It's been a while since I did canon review but if I have some free time I'll put together a post of my favourite moments of theirs!
(ETA: Headcanons. They play chess together. They camped out at the Hermitage at least once over school holidays together. They text each other more than probably anyone else even if they don't actually hang out in person together all that much. Ulrich has been to Jeremie's house to stay at least once. They like a lot of the same books.)

Code Lyoko Superheroes AU Summary
This goes along with the fanfic Coded to be Heroes BTW, this is the same AU. There will be spoilers for the fanfic on this blog.
Like with the show, XANA is the villain and the warriors work to stop him. However, in this there are major differences.
This takes place with a more modern setting, more danger, more for XANA to work with, and more stuff for the heroes to do too to calm down.
XANA is an AI in a robotic body, using a network of radio towers to start attacks in the real world, through its own supercomputer at its company that it owns under the fake identity Xavious Anderson.
Only the Warriors and a few unlucky people who work for XANA know that XANA is XANA. The rest of the world thinks XANA is human and is trying to make the world better with tech.
The attacks range from normal XANA attacks like in the show, to mech attacks too, built by XANA's company.
Jeremie doesn't go to Kadic. Three years fighting XANA alone with Aelita's digital aid has caused him to be an outlaw with a bounty on his head. He lives at the factory where the supercomptuer once stood, the SC mostly totaled. His super suit is broken, so he relies on the other warriors to get him the towers so he can take the towers down and stop attacks.
Aelita is digital still, but with her powers allowing her to traverse cyberspace, she aids the warriors as they look for her missing half, her body, that XANA has hidden. Her mental self is stuck in cyberspace, but her body has gone missing.
All the Warriors have super powers and their hero forms are their lyoko forms! With the expectation of Kiwi, who turns into a werewolf like creature! They take turns getting food and supplies to Jeremie as they tackle saving the world, school, and being teens.
Just like in the show, it starts with Jeremie, Yumi, Odd, Aelita, Ulrich, and Kiwi. William comes in later.
OH AND LYOKO'S GONE! No more Lyoko!
While Kadic stays the same rules are a bit different. Kids with an adult with them (say Jim taking them, if younger), or by themselves in groups (if older) can go out to places after school like to the arcade or to get ice cream provided their back by curfew. So the Warriors get to go and have fun but this also puts a bit more danger on them. But hey, more supply runs for stuff for Jeremie too.

Code Lyoko: REvision
I just finished binge watching Code Lyoko on Netflix recently to relive my childhood & forgot how cool of a show it was! While it is an awesome story, some things couldn't stop bugging me that didn't line up. So I revised in a short format the entire series in a way that follows a proper timeline plus what I would've added for the show. I hope y'all like it!

Aelita needs time to think, and the boys give her as much space as she needs.
Jeremie’s cousin Patrick enrolls at Kadic permanently, allowing the two to grow closer as family.
Patrick helps Jeremie come out of his shell a little bit, and in return, Jeremie tells Patrick about Lyoko.
Patrick promises to keep it a secret and thinks Lyoko is insane when sent to be part of ‘Return To The Past’.
William comes back a little bit before the last episode.
Yumi and William have a conversation where he apologizes for his actions on Lyoko and reacting horribly to her and Ulrich’s relationship.
William does a whole apology tour with the Warriors about his carelessness that led to getting trapped by Xana.
Odd and Ulrich are verbal about their distrust for William, especially to his face.
As Aelita finishes destroying Xana and comes back to Earth, Odd is the one to catch her as she cries for the loss of her father.
Series Finale
With Xana now destroyed thanks to the power of Franz Hopper’s sacrifice, the warriors must now turn off the supercomputer as there is no real purpose anymore. To Yumi’s surprise, the rest of the warriors are hesitant to turn it off. Yumi gets upset when everyone but her vote to not turn off the supercomputer and is quite confused by it.
Yumi distances herself from the rest of the group, not wanting to hear what their excuses are.
In an irritated voice due to Yumi being stubborn, Ulrich says he likes being a hero who feels unstoppable. He doesn’t get that feeling on Earth where he struggles in school with parents who are hardly present in his life.
Yumi says encouraging words about how Ulrich is a great person on Earth who cares for his friends and others.
Jeremi tells Patrick and Aelita how he is scared of turning back into a loner after shutting Lyoko off.
Patrick tells Jeremie he shouldn’t worry about that because the Warriors are all really close.
Aelita says they have a bond that can’t be broken even if they all live in different countries.
While in gym class, Aelita asks Odd why he didn’t want the supercomputer to be shut off.
Odd doesn’t want to turn it off then begin to miss it, but he knows it is for the best.
William tells Jeremie they need to shut the computer down after everything that’s happened bad to him.
Yumi apologizes for her stubbornness and hears out everyone's reasoning for not wanting to say goodbye to Lyoko yet.
Aelita talks to Odd about what they could be like in the future.
They never fully say out loud what happens, and there are no hard feelings from Jeremie.
One last hiccup from Sissi resulted in the last return to the past by Jeremie and Patrick. Aelita and Odd are sitting together on one bench while Yumi and Ulrich are under a tree.

SquipJere Week 2020, Day 4: Mr. Roboto
@squipjerebmc’s SquipJere Week 2020 Day 4: Mr. Roboto
Ships Involved: The SQUIP x Jeremy Heere (Technical Difficulties/Squipemy/Squeremy/JereSquip/SquipJere)
Setting: Canonverse, set in the time interval between “Loser Geek Whatever” and “Halloween”.
Trigger/Content Warnings: None
Jeremy had never been one to ‘bask in the limelight,’ as they said. He wasn’t exactly content to stay on the sidelines for his entire life like Michael was, but he didn’t need to be the center of attention. It would just be kind of nice to be looked at by someone other than his best friend since kindergarten or bullies searching for a punching bag.
But he had to admit, after his first real hangout with the ‘cool kids’ had been a success, he felt like a movie star. All of the eyes on him as he’d mastered the dancing game at Dave & Buster’s had been somewhat overwhelming at first, but he’d quickly adjusted and it just felt good to be recognized, even if it was for something that he technically hadn’t achieved on his own. But even Rich, who without a doubt knew how Jeremy had danced like he was a professional to a song he didn’t even know that well on the highest difficulty on some obscure music game, had praised him and let him have his brief moment of fame.
But it was enough attention to satisfy him for a week or more and as keyed up as he was from all the interaction, it felt nice to be home. The entire scene kept replaying itself in his head – whether that was because of him or because it was the SQUIP’s silent way of saying ‘look how well you did,’ he wasn’t completely sure – and he had a bit of a skip in his step as he walked into the house. His father hadn’t even seemed to notice he was gone so there was no way he’d noticed that Jeremy had taken the car.
The rest of the Saturday passed without much fanfare, and soon enough it was Sunday. Sundays were usually Jeremy’s day to buckle down and get his homework done, and he usually didn’t look forward to it. When he didn’t want to get up from bed, the SQUIP lightly prodded at him until he did, teasing him for his bedhead and telling him that it was sure it would be a productive day.
Jeremy had never really liked doing homework. The one exception was when he was given books to read, although that heavily depended on the book. However, ever since getting the SQUIP, he hadn’t gotten much more enthusiastic about doing schoolwork but he found it much easier to focus. He knew for a fact that was because of the SQUIP’s influence – or at least, it had definitely started that way and now Jeremy wondered if maybe his focus was better because his mind had been properly trained.
And so after scarfing down a bowl of cereal – the SQUIP had been intent on him having three meals a day, something Jeremy hadn’t exactly been great about before considering he opted to skip breakfast ninety-five percent of the time – he settled in at his desk to start on the one subject that was the bane of his existence: math. Michael had always been the one who was better with numbers while Jeremy was better with words. Jeremy had been in the drama club when he was in elementary school and for part of middle school, although he never had any roles that were too notable, but it was enough to satisfy him. His adoration of Christine had only bolstered his love of theater. He’d even debated a few times over the course of his short life trying to write poetry or songs, but he’d never gotten into the right mindset for it. He doubted he’d be good at it, anyway.
But now he had the SQUIP which, as it had so proudly declared the first day he’d gotten it, was made of math. There were certain things the SQUIP would do for him, but homework wasn’t one of them. It would stand by as Jeremy worked, ready to assist, but it would never just give him the answers. It would walk him through the problems or prompts to make sure he understood how to find the solution, and of course because the SQUIP was in his brain, Jeremy would find himself understanding even if he had initially found himself lost as the SQUIP rattled off information.
And so he sat at his desk and got to work – normally he’d end up hunched over in his chair, but thanks yet again to the SQUIP that was no longer the case – furrowing his brow as he started on the various problems. The SQUIP was helping him raise his grades but he still had to put in the effort himself, because if he was suddenly a prodigy in every subject, there would definitely be some eyebrows raised in his direction. So he needed to do well, but not too well, kind of like how he hadn’t gotten a perfect score back at Dave & Buster’s. There was a balance to these things, wherein the SQUIP would step in and hold his hand to lead him down the right path until Jeremy learned well enough to see the way on his own.
Jeremy usually waited until he got through all the problems he could do on his own before he asked for help, almost like he was still a little kid going to ask his parents if they could assist him. Then again, the SQUIP would always be there as soon as he so much as thought that he might not be able to figure something out on his own. No embarrassing scurrying down to the kitchen necessary – although it was still a bit embarrassing to need help at all.
And to his pleasant surprise, he was actually getting through most of the assigned problems relatively quickly. Sure, there were a couple that had him scratching his head for a few minutes, but it just took a quick flip through his notes – those were getting neater and better organized, too – for him to come to a realization. He might actually be able to have some free time on this Sunday instead of spending the whole day besides meals and bathroom breaks sitting at his desk and working.
He was so absorbed in his work – what a rarity – that he almost missed that there was sound in the room other than the scratching of his pencil against his notebook. When he finally noticed it, he looked up with his brow creased, confused. It almost sounded like humming, but he was pretty sure that even if his dad sang in the shower, it wouldn’t reach all the way through the closed door.
That was when he turned to see the SQUIP standing on the other side of the room, back facing him. It had a few translucent blue screens floating around it, each displaying various numbers and data that Jeremy could never even hope to understand, and it was tapping its chin as it looked over everything. Jeremy knew that the visuals were just to fit his personal aesthetics and to give him something to look at as the SQUIP interacted with him so his brain wasn’t left utterly baffled, but he still couldn’t help feeling intrigued.
Especially when he realized that his SQUIP was, in fact, humming as it went about its business.
Of course, as soon as Jeremy realized, the sound stopped and the screens fizzled away as the SQUIP looked over its shoulder. “What? You should be doing your homework.”
“You were humming,” was all Jeremy managed to say, realizing after a heartbeat how stupid it sounded to state the obvious.
However, the SQUIP merely blinked at him, turning around to properly face him, arms crossing against its chest. “I was not.”
“Wh—You were!” Jeremy protested. “I heard it.”
“Perhaps you were humming to yourself as you worked?”
“No way, I don’t hum when I work. Especially not when I’m doing math.”
The SQUIP seemed to bite back a smile at that and instead huffed. “Everything I do in this physical manifestation, Jeremy, has a purpose. There would be no reason for me be humming at this moment, so therefore I was not humming.”
Jeremy’s eyebrows furrowed. “But you were. I heard you. I know my brain is fucked up, but it isn’t so bad that I’m imagining humming. I even know the song. It was ‘Mr. Roboto’ by, uh…erm…shit…”
“Styx,” the SQUIP interrupted, although it didn’t seem entirely pleased to be giving Jeremy evidence against its argument.
“Yeah, Styx! It played at one point in Dave & Buster’s yesterday. When Jake and Brooke were doing the basketball game thingy.”
The SQUIP scowled at him. “Jeremy, I wasn’t humming. That would be illogical. Why would I carry out such a pointless act?”
Jeremy blinked, before shrugging. “I dunno. For fun? You’re an A.I., after all, so you have things that you like to do even if you don’t need to do them…right?”
He remembered the SQUIP telling him just a few days ago that it was impossible for it to ever be at a loss. But the SQUIP right now looked just a bit baffled at Jeremy’s explanation. “I…suppose that might be true. Have I done anything else like that?”
Jeremy thought for a moment. “You looked like you were having fun yesterday when we were playing games with everyone. Maybe it was just you helping me, but I think you were getting something out of it, too. Maybe the happy chemicals in my brain were affecting you or something.”
The SQUIP snorted. “It doesn’t work that way, Jeremy. But…you may be onto something.” It tilted its head, and Jeremy wondered what exactly it was processing. But it spoke again just a few moments later: “It seems that I was, in fact, humming. It was just a…mindless action. I didn’t even seem to realize myself that I was doing it.”
“Well, you told me that with every interaction, you learn and evolve,” Jeremy replied. “So maybe because you’re poking around at me less, you’re starting to realize there are things that you like to do? And that song stuck with you from yesterday.” He smiled. “Kind of fitting, honestly.”
“I’m not a robot, Jeremy. I’m a supercomputer.”
“Oh, you know what I meant!”
The SQUIP chuckled softly, reaching up to push its hair back, even though Jeremy was pretty sure it was already perfectly in place as it always was. “…This is certainly an interesting development. I’ll have to look more into it.”
Jeremy frowned. “I know you’re all about numbers and results and stuff, but…can’t you just enjoy it and not try to dig in and find a reason behind it?”
The SQUIP raised an eyebrow and tipped its head to one side as it looked at him. “I’m programmed to delve into situations and analyze how they come to be and what results may come from them. That includes how my own code functions and grows.”
Jeremy sighed, shrugging and turning back to his desk. “You do you, I guess. Just…I dunno, I have time when I’m not working and you don’t have to worry about me. So you could find your own thing to do.”
The SQUIP appeared beside him, still looking thoughtful. “You do realize I’m in your head, right? I can’t exactly decide to meander off and go attend some crazy rave.”
Jeremy smiled sideways at him. “Maybe you can meet up with Rich’s SQUIP and have a wild party or something in cyberspace. Or you could sync with some of my game systems and run around in them. I think you secretly liked being a little hamster.”
“I did not,” it protested and Jeremy only grinned more when he felt indignant static trail down his spine. The SQUIP tutted at him and turned away. “…I’ll consider looking into doing activities that don’t align with my assignment to you. It could prove to be an interesting experiment.”
“Uh huh.”
Jeremy left it at that and got back to his homework, although he was pretty sure he wasn’t focusing quite as well as before. Was it really that strange that the SQUIP had been humming? It seemed to do a lot of things that were a bit more extra than necessary – such as that little kiss to the back of Jeremy’s hand just the day before, but Jeremy was trying not to linger on that too much because it made his stomach feel funny – but it had always explained it away as being for Jeremy’s sake. But Jeremy was starting to wonder if that was just the SQUIP trying to convince itself that everything it did had a reason behind it and that it wasn’t just doing something for the sake of doing it like a stupid human would. A SQUIP was built to learn so that it could improve itself, and it would only see something as harmless as humming a tune as it worked as a distraction or even a downgrade.
But after Jeremy had eaten dinner and returned to his room to move on to his history homework, he blinked up as he once again heard the unmistakable humming. He looked over to see the SQUIP sitting on his bed, its eyes closed and expression contemplative as it almost hesitantly hummed out the familiar notes of ‘Mr. Roboto,’ albeit slower than the actual song. But as the minutes passed, the sound got more confident and Jeremy swore he even saw a smile.
“You have a nice voice,” he complimented after a bit.
“Just because someone can carry a tune while humming doesn’t mean they can sing well, Jeremy,” was the reply he got.
But when Jeremy lay down to sleep that night, nestled under the covers, he could see the gentle tell-tale glow of the SQUIP as it sat down on the edge of the bed, just as it had that first night it had activated. It ran its fingers through Jeremy’s hair, slow and soothing, and Jeremy tipped his head slightly up into the touch as he felt himself start to drift off.
And right before he fell asleep, he thought he heard a quiet voice singing:
“Everything about you is going to be wonderful…”

Code Lyoko AU
Okay, so if you haven’t seen Code Lyoko, I definitely recommend it lol. It was one of my first shows I ever got into as a kid, even though it’s a little old, I still remember catching some episodes on Cartoon Network. Anddddd I’m pretty sure the whole series is on Youtube, so that’s a plus.
So if you don’t know what it’s about, Code Lyoko is basically a bunch of kids who go to a boarding school and fight against evil computer AI X.A.N.A in the virtual and real world.
Now, it starts off with this kid named Jeremie, who, while looking for parts for his robots in an abaondoned factory, stumbles across a supercomputer. He turns it on, and finds a girl, speaking to him. Throughout the beginning of the first season he actually finds out that she is in fact, a real girl, who’s been in the world of Lyoko for a very long time.
Now he and his friends, who enter Lyoko everytime X.A.N.A. is up to no good, have to enter Lyoko and stop X.A.N.A all the while, Jeremie is trying to find a way to materialize the girl in the computer, Aelita, and bring her back to Earth.
Ok, so that’s a brief summary, I’ll probably be back to explain more and stuff, but if anyone already knows what this is or have questions feel free to ask me lol.

BE MORE CHILL LONDON
My brain was very bad at processing things that day but seeing the show on Saturday was honestly the best experience of my life and here's why:
First of all: Joe Iconis was sitting two rows in front of me.
I was freaking out a little and my friend was laughing at me but I didn't want to annoy him so I tried to chill
But then he was standing behind us in line for merch (he was buying a whole bunch of his own merch which was kinda funny) and some other people talked to him so I did too and I'm not entirely sure what I said to him but he was SO nice and then I got a picture and... yeah I was just really happy.
Now to the show:
The set was incredible. Absolutely amazing.
The screen was used so perfectly and made everything seem like a videogame, honestly.
It was basically the only set. The only furniture they had was a desk for Jeremy's room, chairs for the school and some other minor things (I have to say it did seem a little bit empty at times and I wish that would have used a bed at least - didn't make sense to me that Jeremy falls asleep at his desk - but I'm probably just too used to the Broadway set)
More Than Survive was SO good! Scott puts so much emotion in his portrayal of Jeremy... I can't really describe what exactly he did but something about his Jeremy felt so real and yeah I might have cried a little... (I honestly think he’s my favourite Jeremy so far)
Also: Blake's Michael is very different from George's but in such an interesting way. I loved him the second he entered the stage. He really did capture the "Doesn't care about what anyone thinks, but deep down he does a little" - Energy.
Play Rehearsal was.... wow.
Miracle's Christine had no chill. At all. She was so unbelievably weird and quirky. (Also, she seemed much colder / not interested in talking about anything except theatre and when she didn't want to talk about something she was really showing that by acting uninterested... I thought that was an interesting take that definitely worked for the character) Every normal person would have been a little freaked out by her energy during the song probably but Jeremy was just staring at her the whole time with heart eyes it was really cute.
Favourite part was how Jake said: "Rich is doing it cause he's MY BOI!"
Squip Song was great, his VOICE!! WOW. I love James's Rich. Like, you could really see that even though he's the school's bully, there's something underneath that's not right. Everything he did felt very forced and I loved it (also, I told James at the stage door that Rich is my favourite character and that made him really happy apparently)
Now that I am thinking about it, I think they changed that scene a little and Rich didn't pee (so that conversation was missing) but that was probably due to the set bc the toilets were just projections on the screen so it would have been weird if he pretended to pee on the screen 😂
Also really loved the use of the screen during that whole scene, it was flashing and glitching when Rich's Squip was acting up
They brought back the bean bags for Two Player Game!!
The staging for this was so cool because at the end when Jeremy and Michael were dancing the screen made it look like they were the characters in the game (but differently than on Broadway) and I loved it (I'm sorry I'm really bad at explaining this)
Also, Blake's 'Is it really true, I'm your favourite person' was so funny, he did like a model pose or something and was sliding off the bag.
Scott was basically sitting on the floor the whole time because he somehow didn't manage to properly sit on that bag
Also, I think they changed the dialogue about Jeremy's mum a little bc when Michael asks him if he's heard from her Jeremy said "A little" and I'm pretty sure he didn't say that before
I feel Blake's Michael is that kind of person who's really bad at expressing how he feels... like, you could see in his face that he didn't like Jeremy's idea about going to the Payless and that he was genuinely scared about being too uncool for Jeremy afterwards but he really tried to say the "will u be to cool for... videogames" kinda jokey and yeah I'm overanalysing but I loved it
One thing in general: Everyone seemed really young on stage, definitely much younger than the Broadway cast. Especially Jeremy and Michael. I really believed that they were teenagers!! And I really love that.
Scott was fidgeting a LOT with his hands and I feel like that was very in character for Jeremy. I thought so often that he would drop things.... (like the money in the scary stockboy scene.. it took him so long to give it to Michael)
Jakes favourite restaurant is Pizza Hut now
When the Squip was activated Scott was screaming and rolling across the entire stage and it would have been funny if it didn't look like he was actually in pain
Because the stage was different the Squip had to walk on for his entrance and somehow that was incredibly funny to me but I can't explain why
Stewart Clarke. Holy shit. I'd totally swallow a supercomputer if it looked like him! I loovveeed his take on the role. I've seen interviews with him where he was talking about how he has to think of so many weird questions like how does a computer act, does it feel, how does it feel etc. And I really saw that he was thinking about those things. At the beginning his Squip was very robot-ish, simply focused on making Jeremy cool, without any secret plan or anything. But throughout the show, the Squip clearly evolved and became more... human, I guess? Like it was showing more and more human traits/emotion which peaked in The Play (later more on that)
In conclusion: I loved the Squip so so much
Squip: "Everything about you makes me wanna die!"
Jeremy: "Uhhhhhh this is intense!!"
The Brooke/Chloe scene in the mall was so funny and the part where the Squip tells Jeremy what to say (u know, in bmc pt.1) might have been my favourite part of the show. Scott looked so awkward and confused by everything but he did his best to mirror the Squip (they did identical movements the whole time which I don't remember from Broadway but my memory is shit so...)
Millie's Chloe was so over the top I love it.
They changed the dialogue a lot here, so that there's no mention of Madeleine at all so Chloe wasn't pissed or anything (I'm not sure if I like that) Jeremy just said something along the lines of "Oh you wouldn't know her because she's French" and that's where Brooke picks up her trying to speak French- thing
I THINK (not 100% sure tho) that Millie said "Jeremy?" Instead of "Jerry" At the beginning of that scene and that Scott was a bit confused for a second but he just continued with "It's Jeremy" and then Millie had to duck away because she was laughing (but maybe she did say it right and was just laughing at Jeremy in character idk)
I loved how Eloise's Brooke was so awkward. From the second that Jeremy noticed her she tried SO hard to impress him and it didn't work very well but it was so cute. Chloe tries to show her the whole time what to do but that doesn't make it better.
During Do you wanna ride, Jermey got so scared of the girls that he climbed onto the table with the t-shirts (actually now that I'm thinking about it he was climbing on things a lot)
Guy That I'd kinda be into was so cute!! I never particularly liked that song but Miracle somehow gave it a very different flair and I loved that. They changed the staging a bit and there weren't other people with hearts (there were hearts on the Screen) but at one point Rich was coming on stage with a helium heart balloon for like a second and then he disappeared again 😂 that was a bit weird but...
now lets get to the Act 1 Finale which was SO GOOD
Okay, so they changed it up quite a lot: After the whole "Eminem is dead?!" The Squip tells Jeremy that Brooke likes him (and Christine doesn't, yet) and Jeremy is so shocked that he turns to Brooke and says "You like me?" And she's like confused but nods and he's like: "Why???" (I loved that, Scott delivered that line really funny) and then Brooke explains the whole thing with Chloe, that she always gets noticed first etc. (That whole scene was really cute Jeremy and Brooke really seemed to actually like each other and I was really able to relate to Brooke - good Job Eloise!)
Then Brooke starts singing the "I'm tired of being the person that everyone thinks that I am" Jeremy repeats it and then she starts Upgrade with the tres magnifique bit. It's like on the OBC until Jake's and Christine's part. They do their verse but run off after "Gotta get an upgrade" (Miracle was singing this up the octave which sounded SO cool) so they didn't have their conversation about Jake's parents (I did miss this a little but I get why it was cut) and then Jeremy ran back on stage followed by the Squip (you can see in Stewart's performance that he's already much more persuasive in a human way than before) who starts to sing the aggressive "C-c-c-come on Jeremy can't you see we got a plan, now be the man..." From the original cast album (I loved this SO much). Everyone came on to sing the "Christine" part in that and was surrounding Jeremy. He then shouts "Arghh too many voices in my head" the Squip leaves, Michael comes on, they do their "Jeremy that's amazing" dialogue, the Squip explains optic nerve blocking and says that he has to cut Michael off if he wants to be popular (Squip: "Cut your ties... or you'll both drown" I remember that because it sounded so unbelievably dramatic), Michael asked "Are you coming" and leaves the stage for Jeremy to sing Loser, Geek, Whatever.
I loved all of that so much because Scott puts so much emotion into this song, it nearly made me cry!! He really conveyed Jeremy's inner struggle without making him look like an asshole, more like a stupid kid that's going to make a really stupid decision
The second verse and chorus of LGW were cut (the "Dad taught me follow your instincts..." part) which I really liked (I never enjoyed the chorus of this song tbh).
"THE PROBLEM HAS ALWAYS BEEN.... .... me" the way Scott sang that truly broke my heart.
AND THEN (Loved this SO SO MUCH) after "ever agaaiiiiinnn" He went straight into that part that I guess you could call an Upgrade reprise from the Original Cast album ("And I wasn't sure before but now I wanna go all the way and more so give me that upgrade" etc.) AND it tied in so perfectly with Michael then asking again "Are you coming" and "Optic nerve Blocking on" and as much as I loved the "I'm tired of being the person that everyone thinks that I am" chorus, this was SUCH a great way to end act one, I might even prefer this.
I just love how they mixed in the old parts from this song that I was really missing on the OBC.
When the Squip came out in his first dress (is it a dress?) Costume people were cheering, loved that. (I mean that costume IS gorgeous and Stewart Clarke looks absolutely fabulous in all the costumes)
That was Act 1!! (I am so sorry if you actually read everything up to this point...)
Act 2
Halloween had such an amazing energy!!! The dances!! Ahh
At his "I don't have a machete but a loaf of bread will do" line, James threw the bread up in the air but didn't catch it and just hit his head as he went to pick it up as if he was blaming his Squip (not sure if that was supposed to happen but I loved it)
I loved how the Squip joined the dance, it looked so fancy with his costume 😂 I know he did this on Broadway too and I never really understood why (the others can't see him after all) but there it kinda felt like it was hinting at the fact that the Squip was becoming more human-ish??? (I'm definitely overthinking this) Like he was having fun maybe??? Idk
Millie's Do you wanna hang was so hilarious!!!
Like I said they didn't have a bed so she was just dancing around him (which looked good but I missed a bed here tbh) and they added a bit of dialogue (I think, maybe it was in the Broadway version) where Jeremy asked her "Are you jealous of Brooke??" And she was like "I'm not jealous I just don't understand why everyone likes her and no one likes me." (Or something like that) and the way Millie delivered that line really gave Chloe a whole lot of character depth. She sounded so heartbroken, I just wanted to hug her.
When the Squip shuts off (it looked really funny), Stewart just trust-falls backwards off stage and someone has to catch him and I was just thinking what if whoever catches him forgets about it??? 😂😂 (No seriously, dear catch person, don't forget this, ever... we need him as a Squip)
And now, the moment we have all been waiting for. MITB
Ahhh I was having so many feeling during this scene. I already told you that I love Blake's Michael and I really loved how rational and smart (?) He sounds in the scene before the song compared to Jeremy who kept insisting that the Squip isn't bad.
They added a bit of dialogue here too I think, because Jeremy said something along the lines of "You said technology isn't dangerous-" "Yeah unless someone uses it like you do!" (Something like this), really loved that as people somehow keep insisting that this is a show about the dangers of modern technology (It's definitely not).
Blake and Scott both did such an incredible job in this scene (and overall obviously), you just knew something bad was about to happen...
At the "Leave me alone" (not sure if that's what he's saying) line Jeremy steps reaaalllyy close to Michael (like there noses were almost touching close) and he looked so intimidating towards Michael and Blake sounded actually a bit scared when he says "Or you'll what?"
Then they just stand there for some seconds, not moving, before Jeremy says the "Get out of my way, loser" and Scott says this with so much hatred, my heart was actually hurting. Michael then just steps away and he looked sooo sad I almost cried.
MITB was absolutely amazing. Again very different than George's version but with just as much emotion and Blake's voice was sooooo beautiful, I can't!!
He sang the last "Michael in the Bathroom by himself" a bit different (can't really describe it but the note on "bath" was higher than usual? I don't know much about music sorry) and I loved loved loved that
The scene with Christine and Jeremy was so sweet. They were so unbelievably weird, I love them.
When the costumed person between them leaves, Christine pulls Jeremy across the stage by his legs and places them on top of hers (like in the promo pic) and it looked so cute!!
After that when Rich comes on and says the "I'll burn you out" I was soo sure somehow that there used to be a voiceover of his Squip but I can't find it anywhere so idk I'm confused... But it's definitely not there anymore.
Smartphone Hour. Holy shit, that was SO good. Renée Lamb's voice OMG!! Absolutely incredible.
(I just had to notice once again how much I hate the costumes in this scene... like the colours are great but what teenager wears THAT to sleep???)
The screen was so cool here again!! It obviously showed Jenna's selfie with the house (which I want printed to hang on my wall tbh) and then at the end it was full of fire that changed its colour and all of that was so fitting for the colour scheme!! The entire set design is just so incredible.
Also, Brooke is eating a banana when Chloe calls her and when she tells her about the fire Eloise just yeets it across the entire stage
They all looked like they were having so much fun!!
Back to Jeremy: For the scene with Mr Heere, Scott was switching back to total asshole mode... Internally I was like "Uhh that little shit" but yeah, great acting!!
I LOVE the pants song! It's so underappreciated!
The "You're burning incense" line got a lot of laughs
"Say it like you're in the army!"
"NO, SERGEANT, SIR!!!" *salutes*
Loved that
Pitiful Children was actually SO intimidating!! The use of the screen here and in The Play was almost overwhelming but like in a good way, I really felt the seriousness of the situation.
Again great acting skills from Scott and Stewart. Jeremy was so torn between giving in and knowing that it's wrong and the Squip really felt humanly evil at this point.
Renée Lamb's riff!! Omg! She did it very different than in the press videos but it sounded so cool!!
Also, I felt so bad for Jenna. Her "No one's ever asked me that before" really hit me.
"Michael makes an entrance!!!!!" was perfect, I love Blake!
The fight between Jeremy and Michael looked SO violent 😂 at one point towards the end Jeremy punched him and he was just lying there on the edge of the stage for some minutes and only woke up to join everyone screaming at the end.
I loved how everyone acted when they were squipped!! They were very obviously not themselves.
Especially Christine was acting very very differently. Her voice sounded completely different and you could see that Jeremy made his decision to give her the mountain dew red the second she opened her mouth.
Jake's "God I love me!" Was just really wholesome. He sounded so surprised about that.
They didn't have the "My Squip says I can go all the way to Broadway" :((( but I can live with that...
The part where the Squip “Died” was SO good!!! This was really the moment where the Squip felt very much like a human being. He was screaming and begging and sounded actually terrified. His acting here was absolutely incredible. I almost, almost felt bad for him a little.
Also, the projections were amazing, it looked like the screen shattered when the Squip died.
Again, one thing that really bothered me: What kind of hospital doesn't have beds??? Jeremy and Rich were just sitting in wheelchairs which was fine but like... Why no bed???
I loved James' acting in this scene!!! He was a COMPLETELY different person and everyone noticed that right away. Even without the l lisp, you would have noticed simply by the way he was talking. James really did a great job with Rich!!
His "I'm totally bi now!!" Sounded so surprised and got a lot of applause.
Voices in my head is my favourite song and made me cry 😂
Christine's Squip is now Greta Thunberg!!!!
I loved how Jeremy was totally his old self again when he was talking to Christine. He was stammering and fidgeting with his hands a lot and only managed to bring out the "Bowling Alley performance art?" Because Christine kept encouraging him which was so cute. If there are somehow still people out there who think that their relationship is underdeveloped they should watch this version.
The kiss was so cute!! Miracle and Scott have amazing chemistry!
I really think that's all I have to say... It's a lot I'm sorry 😂😂😂 just had to write those thoughts down.. I hope it makes a little sense I was a bit sick in the last few days so excuse me if anything's worded in a weird way...
I loved it so so much and I'm so happy they got the well-deserved extension! I'm definitely going again sometime soon 😊😊

so to clarify, Carissa(the s/i) is a scientist who is a relative of Jeremy’s, and has been doing some... really illegal stuff for science.
After the squip incident, she got his stupid evil robot pill out of his head and used some tinkering to put it in a new body of sorts. So now in a way the squip’s human, with some computer elements.
I haven’t decided if the new body is an actual person’s, or a synthetic one. Either way, if they can create super against the law robots that you can’t talk about on the internet, surely they can create synthetic bodies to hold evil supercomputers

Laura Gauthier
Oh Laura you are a difficult one to talk about but i’m gonna try anyway. There will be some defenses and some legit(in my opinion) criticism of Laura here.
Tumblr media
(Not gonna lie i’ve had times where I wanted to punch that smug little smirk off her face)
One of the criticisms i’ve seen about her is she’s a Mary Sue. I can see where people get that idea from, I mean think about it, some pretty blonde new transfer student who worms her way into the group and is smarter then Jeremie and Aelita? That’s your typical self-insert fanfic character. The thing is Laura’s too flawed to be a Mary Sue like no matter how you feel you about her she is a kind of nasty person who mocked the disappearance of someone’s parent.
Tumblr media
(This was NOT okay)
And I don’t necessarily feel she’s smarter then Jeremie. She only got the problem right in “Mrs. Einstein” because Jeremie was out of it. “Chaos at Kadic” shows Jeremie is still at the top of his class and in “Mutiny” she is unable to virtualize the Megapod which Jeremie has done several times and Jeremie was able to fix whatever she did to the RTTP.  So no, not a Mary Sue.
Tumblr media
(I came home last night and caught you programing with another girl)
Another criticism is she gets in the way of Jerlita(the driving force behind the original show after all if Jeremie never feel in love with her we wouldn’t even have a show). Laura actually has tried to put distance between them as seen in “Obstination” when Aelita goes looking for Jeremie after a nightmare looking for comfort. Jeremie is unfortunately listening to music and doesn’t hear her enter when he asks if anyone came to the door Laura responds “No”. I personally feel she kind of sees Jeremie and Aelita’s relationship(and emotional attachments in general) as a kind of obstacle to the mission. After all if Jeremie had noticed Aelita he likely would’ve stopped working to help her with whatever her issue was and Laura is all about prioritizing work(after all her daddy wants her to be the best and was going to make her leave the school if she wasn’t being challenged enough and the supercomputer stuff is definitely challenging). She even states in “Mutiny” that the Lyoko Warriors let their emotions get in the way.
There are also people who says she’s too cold and robotic and I do get that. After all Jeremie can be kind of robotic too but the thing is we’ve seen Jeremie’s more affectionate and loving side. We know that despite his issues he learned to let people and love into his life forming a strong friendship with his friends and a pretty stable, happy relationship with Aelita. We never get this with Laura. Though, I feel that’s more on the part of the writers than Laura. I feel if they gave her a strong bond with another group member and gave her development she wouldn’t be so cold and robotic anymore. I thought her smiling when she heard Aelita talking about Jeremie and the fact that she agreed to wait to destroy X.A.N.A in “Obstination” and her being seemingly touched by Aelita’s thanks in “Rendezvous” meant she was on her way to becoming a genuine member of the group. Instead she decides a few eps later to manipulate William into going behind the rest of the group’s backs on an unauthorized, dangerous, mission(oh look, it’s “Aelita” 2.0). Her actions almost get William re-xanafied and the rest of the warriors have to clean up their mess. When everything is cleared up William apologizes and admits he was wrong, Laura on the other hand refuses to apologize and take responsibility for her actions, instead she shifts the blame to the other warriors for letting their emotions get in the way and I feel it’s this more than anything else that led to her downfall and departure from the group. It actually kind of makes me sad the show never properly ended it means Laura will never get a chance to redeem herself in the eyes of the other warriors and the fandom.
