My Greek professor described trying to translate an ancient Greek sentence is like building Ikea furniture: you have to do it right even if things look similar, you can't just jam two things together

Character Highlight Ársa
Ársa is known as the God of magic, he is a powerful and ancient spirit who deeply loves his creations (The Witches, The Fairies, and even The Vampires). Ársa rarely allows humans to see him, living deep underground and often taking the form of a monstrous wolf to scare off people who wander too deep. He is greatly aware of his flaws, and the results of his mistakes break his heart. He does not believe he should be worshiped which is why he hides away. Personality wise Ársa is very compassionate and seeks to find someone who might be able to fix his mistakes.

Kalluzeb GoT AU! Tell me about it please!
Here’s the House Hessian family tree:
Tumblr media
Fun fact since it won’t come up much in the fic: Lasan is a kingdom in the greater continent Réimse Ársa. Lira San is also there but it’s pretty far away.
Snippet!
“The moment that treaty is signed, your purpose will have been served. What happens to you afterwards is none of my concern. You will officially join your husband’s house and finally cease to be a stain on mine.”
Alexsandr gave no reaction. It was nothing he had not heard before.
He’d been a fool to think his situation might change in Lasan. The only difference between his old fate and his new one was that he would not have the honor of at least dying in battle. The Queen would not break the treaty by executing him outright, but she would not suffer the insult of allowing him to live in her land, wed to her kin, her family’s most esteemed guardian. He would be poisoned most likely, or arranged to have an unfortunate accident. Then she, Zeb, Yonas, would all be free of him.
Curse-born, the old maid had called him. A black mark on wherever he went. Perhaps Alexsandr would simply disappear after the ceremony. Leave while the wax of his seal was still hardening on the parchment and get on a ship. Sail somewhere far away where no one knew or cared who he was. He’d heard of lands in the far north that had remained out of the Imperium’s reach. A place without great houses and royal bloodlines and bastard sons. It was supposedly the birthplace of dragons.

Demons
Demons as a race are not born. They don’t reproduce (as such, biologicallly they have no need for reproductive organs… AKA Anti has no dick. Although he certainly makes up for it by BEING a dick).
Demons spawn into existence. Completely by magic RNG (Although it’s hypothesized that, like stars, aura and particles come together and bam). Because of magic RNG, they don’t have species wide physical characteristics like other races. They have a wide range of looks. Different skin colors; may or may not have horns,  wings, tails, other eyes, etc. The possibilities are rather limitless. The main defining features for demons are immortality and the way they gain energy.  While most things gain energy by nutrients, demons gain it through emotional and conceptual energy (they can still eat though, it’s just not worth it to live off of because it takes more energy than it gives them). For example, Anti gains energy through fear AND attention. Some demons can feed from multiple types of energy, while others have just one.
Aura for Demons
Demons’ aura is often limited. They have a set number (although the number varies) of powers they have, however what these powers are is not only determined on the kind of energy they need, but just general Magic RNG. As demons go through life from their spawn date, they will often learn and gradually gain the different powers they have. Some might still learn some centuries later (although they generally learn most of them by their 20s) Also, they heal much faster than other races do, and as such are surprisingly naturally adept at healing magic.
Demon Ages
Since demons are immortal, they don’t really deal with age in the same way other races do. Rather than calling people old, child, adult, young adult, etc. they instead have different titles.
Spawn-999: Imps
 1,000-9,999: Púca
 10,000-99,999: Ársa
 100,000-beyond: Eldritch
However, there is a slight exception that was later implemented by the Demons’ rulers. (See the Demon Society Post)
Finally after so long I’m continuing on my ego lore/AU posts, the rest (so far) are pinned on my page if you’re interested!

Lumas watched them, he assumed they know he was there.
"It's said those who were born in Mag Ársa can See them. The stories say what will be and will come is already written. The runes on its skin know all. But only few will be allowed to See it."
Lumas dragged his eyes to Sarai.
"I suppose that's where the Seers and Mystics come from. Gifts from them. Sarai had noted that no Asteri or Valg ever gave the name of the place they lived those who knew of it anyway.
They always gave epitaphs of it.
"What does Mag Ársa mean Papa?"
Lumas beamed, he knew this pattern. At least this hadn't changed.
"The Ancient Plain."
//idk I just wanted to share//
A familiar pattern, the way they had always spoken. How they both laid out their facts to each other, shared the information until one of them finally had a question - most the time it was normally her.
She always questioned when she needed to learn something and when she had to understand. She was thankful her father was still happy to follow their normal pattern.
She looked back towards them, her head tilted slightly. "Have you ever been there Papa?"

Lúnasa—Féile Fhómhair na nGael
Roinnt stór focal ag bun an leathanaigh! Tá an leagan Béarla den alt le fáil anseo.
Lúnasa is ainm don 8ú mí den bhliain sa lá atá inniu ann. Ach tagann an t-ainm seo ó Lughnasadh nó 'Lug - nasad', seanfhéile tús an Fhómhair i measc na nGael. Deirtear gur chuir an seanrí diaga Lú tús le nós na féile nuair a chruinnigh sé tionól mór ('nasad' sa tseanGhaeilge) ar son a mháthar altramais, Tailtiú. Le linn Lúnasa, dhéanadh na Gaeil ceiliúradh ar tús an Fhómhair agus dhéantaí comóradh ar eachtraí Lú agus na dTuatha Dé Danann. Bhíodh aonaigh ollmhóra ar siúl ag na Gaeil ar fud na tíre agus an ceann ba mhó i dTeamhar na Rí. Ba thréimhse ghnó, spraoi agus comórtais iad na haonaigh chéanna.
Cúlra
Rí diaga as an seanchas is ea Lú, tá na Tuatha Dé Danann agus na Fomhóraigh aige araon mar a mhuintir. Thug sé cath i dtaca leis na Tuatha Dé i gcoinne na bhFomhórach agus a sheanathair Balor i gCath Maighe Tuireadh. Chuir Lú deireadh leis an gcath nuair a scaoil sé piléar trí shúil Bhalor lena thabhall, á mharú agus ag déanamh scrios ar arm na bhFomhórach. B'í Tailtiú, máthair altramais Lú, a fuair bás ón tuirse tamall ina dhiaidh sin tar éis coillte a bhaint agus faichí is goirt lár na hÉireann a réiteach don talmhaíocht ar son na nGael. Bhunaigh Lú féile ar a son le linn tús tréimhse an Fhómhair. Is sa tréimhse chéanna a chuirtí an tAonach Tailteann i gcrích gach bliain.
Nósanna
B'ionann an tAonach agus tionól ollmhór le raidhse ghníomhaíochtaí éagsúla ar siúl lena linn. I measc na ngníomhaíochtaí a bhí an tráchtáil, taidhleoireacht, comhdhálacha, comórtais, cleamhnas agus deis chóisire. Bhíodh comórtas mór spóirt agus aclaíochta ann, cosúil le cluichí Oilimpeacha na nGael. Ghlac laochra, na stócaigh is láidre agus is cumasacha, páirt ar son a dtuatha. Dhéanadh na stócaigh óga iarracht gradam a tharraingt orthu féin, agus theastaigh ó gach taoiseach éacht agus cáil a bhaint amach dá thuath. Chloiseadh na taoisigh éagsúla na dlíthe nua a bhí ar gach éinne in Éirinn cloí leo. Thugadh faoin gcleamhnas, é sin le rá an grá a lorg do dhaoine; lánúineacha a chruthú agus póstaí a shocrú. Bhíodh comhdhálacha ag ollúna faoi gach aon réimse agus bhíodh lucht mór ann ag díol a n-earraí agus a seirbhísí. Is cinnte go raibh Lúnasa mar príomhdheis sóisialta sa bhliain chomh maith le cúis taistil chun bualadh le daoine nua seachas an gnáthshaol áitiúil sa tráth sin. D'fhreastalaíodh gach saghas duine ar an Aonach; taoisigh, ceardaitheoirí, draoithe, breithimh, laochra, filí, feirmeoirí, lianna, cosmhuintir—an saol uilig.
Oidhreacht
Tháinig athrú réidh ar nósanna agus deasghnátha Lúnasa le teacht na Críostaíochta, agus faoi dheireadh cuireadh críoch leis na tionóil le teacht na Normannach. Ach fiú amháin sa lá atá inniu ann, tarlaíonn roinnt imeachtaí poiblí móra le linn tréimhse Lúnasa. Titeann cluichí ceannais an CLG idir dheireadh mí Iúil agus lár mí Lúnasa gach bliain. Cuirtear Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann ar siúl ag deireadh an tsamhraidh. Tarlaíonn an Comórtas Náisiúnta Treabhdóireachta tamall ina dhiaidh sin timpeall cónocht an fhómhair (21ú Meán Fómhair). Is ionann gach ceann acu seo agus tionól ollmhór; comórtas nó comhdháil le spraoi agus deis sóisialta. Tá siad cosúil leis na haonaigh ársa um Lúnasa, agus cé nach bhfuil an tAonach Tailteann féin ann a thuilleadh, tugann na mórócáidí seo léargas dúinn ar an gcineál fuinnimh agus fuadair is dócha a bhíodh ann.

Tonnta, Tonna agus Tonntracha
There are a few different plurals for tonn, meaning ‘waves’.
Standard Irish plural: tonnta
Ó Duinnín's Irish dictionary (1927) dictionary lists plurals tonnta, tonna and tonntracha.
Ó Dónaill’s dictionary (1977) lists plurals tonnta and tonntracha along another variant: tonntacha
You might hear tonntracha pronounced as though tonnthracha in parts of Munster.
Archaic forms and other Celtic Languages
Toinn, tonnan and tonntan can be found in historical texts—they are dialectal forms from the Antrim Valleys, Oriel and North Down and are no longer used.
Scottish Gaelic still uses plurals tuinn, tonna and tonnan (singular tonn) and Manx uses the plural tonnyn (singular tonn).

The God Of Magic
Ársa was the very first sidhe, made from the root of an Elder Tree and born with a spark of creation, he was one of the few chosen creatures able to create life. He helped populate the world by creating powerful races that would one day be known as the sidhe, they lived reviered by human kind. Walking along side them, and giving their aid to those who gained their favor, Ársa believed he had done his maker proud. But even the best laid plans can go awry, Ársa didn’t know the pride and greed of human kind, and what they would do for power.
There was a faction of seven men and women who craved the power of their neighbors, to this end, they made a fatal error. Together they schemed to kill a shide and drink her blood, in hopes that from her blood her power would become theirs. Their wish was granted, but with it a curse was born, the men were given eternal life, but with it they were cursed with an insatiable thirst, as their power was born from the spilling of divine blood, to maintain their eteral life they had to spill the blood of their fellow man, and drink from their bodies. These would become the first vampires. Some of those cursed tried to resist the bloodlust only to find that ignoring the thirst ebbed away at their humanity, slowly tuning them into creatures of instinct, who only knew to kill, feed, and spread. Rabidly, the vampiric plague began to overwhelm humanity.
Horrified by what he had created, Ársa turned to the archangels for help, pleading with them and their maker to save mankind from his folly. Until the maker gave him a solution, he would sacrifice his spark of creation, distribute it across the world so that new creatures would be born with powers that could resist the curse that had been unleashed and save mankind. In exchange, Ársa would no longer have the gift of creation he had been given. Seeing no other alternative, he accepted this deal and his gift was distributed across the earth, giving rise to a race of humans with extrordenary powers, some to see the future, others could walk through fire and never burn. Together this new race could fight back the plague of vampires and restore a relative peace to the world. But once again humaity’s hubris destroyed that too.
The gift of magic caused fear and distrust among humanity, they began to call these gifted people witches, called them an affront to nature and sought to destroy them. At the same time the gifted had begun to separate into groups called covens and were fighting amongst themselves for dominion of magic, these wars decimated the world and the gifted population dwindled. Ársa was heartbroken, he considered destroying the gift entirely and all who carried it would cease to be, and yet he couldn’t, as to him they were his, his children. Instead of destroying them Ársa hid among them, in his many forms he helped to rebuild what was lost, and to give them a new name, practitioners. Today, nobody knows where Ársa is, some say he’s still among mankind, watching after his beloved creations, others say he no long exists, but to this day his gift lives on. The gift of magic.
Richard closed the old tome and looked up at the one toothed hermit, “So… it’s a curse then?  Can it be undone?”
“Who can say, little one.”
“Magic is creation… that means it should be able to do anything, right?!”
“Even creation has its limits, child, even the ancient one couldn’t cure vampirism.”
“I can’t just leave my brother like that, there’s got to be a way. Please, can I borrow this? Maybe there’s some sort of clue in here that can help me save my brother!”
“Take it, I hope you find what you’re looking for”
Richard smiled and bowed respectfully before running back into the tunnel, the one toothed man followed him to the edge of the darkness and smiled, “maybe, just maybe. He could be just what my children need.”

Can you speak any other languages beside English. I am a monster from Ukraine and I am multilingual, so I was just wondering ^__^
Can I speak other languages? Well...
I speak Irish Gaelic, though a little rusty, Rugadh mé in Éirinn ársa. Uaireanta labhróidh mo mháthair agus mé féin lena chéile.
I spent many a time in Translyvania, am petrecut cel mai mult timp în Transilvania și România, așa că vorbesc fluent română.
And of course, New Gorleans is my dearest home so, moi, bien sûr, je parle français. J'en parle depuis de nombreuses années.
I studied Spanish centuries ago, but I don't use it frequently. I only know basic phrases and a fist full of vocabulary words.
