Jameson Jackson was born in 1900 and grew up in Reading, Berkshire!

He’s a very creative individual, having interests in drawing, animating, acting, and film! He’s also an avid reader, which makes sense given that lived above a bookstore that his father owned/ran.

He’s a generally very polite and kind individual, and optimistic to boot! He can sometimes be a bit larger than life as well in his enthusiasm.

However, after picking up a mysterious pocket watch, he found himself accidentally time traveled to the 21st century… and met a moǹs͟t̸̷̨͏e̸̢͟͡r̡̛

He, unfortunately, gained PTSD and anxiety. Due to it, he’s become more nervous and closed off, and he gets irritated much faster.

Although he tries to hide his negative emotions, believing that he should be FINE now. Putting his acting skills to use, he appears happier than he often is. 

Essentially, he's a stepford smiler...

While he became mute after the iǹ̶͢͡ć̸̛i̸̛d͜ent, with the help of the pocket watch (I’ll elaborate on that more in another post) he's sort of gained the ability of speech again through the use of speech bubbles, as well as generally having some cartoon abilities (will list those in another post as well). 

Additionally, he learned sign language, which he uses frequently as outside of the egos and anyone else aware of the magic world... his cartoon powers aren’t exactly normal...

Can I just say I always love to see people in the community give explanations as to why the egos look the same (or even acknowledge) that they look the same. And I love all the different ideas you have. (Mine is kinda simple with it being a magical phenomenon called Gemilus, hence the name of my AU 😅)

Even if there isn't a solid explanation (which usually there isn't in small stories), I still love seeing them occasionally nod to it or fuck up with names. Like maybe Henrik was walking around without his glasses because he lost them and maybe Marvin mistook him as Chase. Also maybe Marvin had short hair before but since he kept getting mistaken for Chase or Henrik or even Jackie, he decided to grow it out so they knew it was him.

Maybe Chase was out of the house one day and Chase BEGGED Jackie to fill in for him which leads into a whole ordeal with Stacy noticing he's a little bit taller and a little bit stronger(?) but no one else could do it because Henrik has an accent and Marvin has long hair. (This was something I planned on writing but never got around to doing,, cough,,,)

Or even just little things where Chase gets scared the first time he walks in seeing the egos there like "fuck I thought I was seeing shit" or they keep mistaking each other in the first few days, etc.

Also other people getting introduced and they're like "??? How." Those things make me happy :)

I JUST FINISHED READING THE ALTRVERSE COMIC WITH FRIENDS IN CALL AND I AM INCONSOLABLE!!!

I was literally starting to tear up at moments. Especially with Marvin… I was a giggly little PUDDLE. Because… he’s my favorite. So much so that I am currently playing my version (well a DND version of my Gemilus AU… just go with it) of Marvin in a DND campaign.

To see my friends become so attached, and have him as a Blorbo by Proxy… to see them get endeared to his cat Pips… just…

Seeing these characters brought to life in a new way like this. Especially ones that have had SO LITTLE time to develop in cannon?? It means a lot.

Thank you everyone who helped make the comic possible. Thank you for continuing to make me excited over these characters, whether it’s my story or your story… or anyone else’s own stories they want to tell.

Heck yeah I love the egos. They’re so important to me! In fact I’m playing Marvin in a DND game (ran by @bubblytarts and @parallel-2-anywhere ) and the other egos are also there (hehehe I’m dragging my friends into the lore with me! Hiiii @anatthema-art ) We had our first boss fight with Anti a few weeks ago!

I’m also a writer!! :D

I’ve actually been working on an unhinged PowerPoint for my JSE Ego Lore the Gemilus AU.

Marvin Hayes

In honor of Marvin’s birthday today, I think it’s time that I FINALLY start talking about the egos proper in my lore.

Growing up in Northern Ireland (specifically a hamlet called Glenoe in County Antrim), he’s learned the art of magic. He’s energetic, dramatic, impulsive and kind of a chaotic dumbass. But we love him for it. I gave him my ADHD (because I could). He'd always been interested in magic from a young age thanks to his parents telling him stories and legends and from the books he'd read. He learned about magic by finding a secret room in his house (it was an old house). It was filled with old books and tomes some of them from a school and so he learned. Later he got his magic cat, Pips. Pips is an enchanted cat that can turn into/is Marvin's signature mask!

Over all he's incredibly spirited and when he really puts his mind to something he can get crazy good with it. Like, you piss this dude off enough and he will unleash POWER on you. But he's often carried away by his own enthusiasm and impulse (lol totally not projecting). He's incredibly dramatic and a bit of a show off.

heyyyyyyy it's been a while!! I finally got around to writing/finishing a short story I was working on!! Ooooo thank you for the question! Ok, so for the Gemilus AU Lads...

Marvin: He quite enjoys tea I feel. Something usually herbal or even fruit flavored. He always adds honey (just like me fr fr). However, he does enjoy coffee with cream and sugar.

James: Tea boi. He be British. Probably black tea or herbal tea. Also probably with honey (Listen my natural instinct is to put honey in my tea).

Jackie: I feel like Jackie enjoys a mocha or like iced coffee. Probably a fan of Chai Lattes. He also strikes me as an iced tea kind of guy. It's probably because he's from the midwest (just like me fr fr).

Chase: While he does enjoy both coffee and tea, I feel like he prefers tea. It's just a comfort thing for him (just like me fr fr). Like, he enjoys making tea for the other egos when they need to calm down. He is the emotional support of the group after all. Because of comfort reasons I'm giving him my all time comfort tea: Camomile with honey.

Henrik: Coffee. Give it to him black or with cream doesn't matter. He needs it or he will Die(TM). When he's not in a rush, he probably does enjoy it with a little bit of cream.

Robbie: He's definitely more of a hot chocolate kind of guy. It's just his vibe. However, they also frequent a local cafe and they love lattes, especially the kind with art. ^^ I feel like they would also enjoy iced coffee.

Anti: Don't give him coffee. It's not a good idea. Besides, he doesn't need to consume physical food. And when he does I don't think he'd be interested in any of these options. HOWEVER: I do feel like he'd try straight espresso shots just to see what it's like. Although, I doubt it would have any effect on him.
