The party attendees watched on with bewilderment as the royal guards wrestled the blade from the princess’ hands. They retained her arms behind her and struggled to keep her at bay. Carla couldn’t watch for a moment longer and turned his back to the scene, ashamed.
Kazuha whined, freed her right arm and launched for his hand. He turned, fighting to keep his poise. Tears burst from the princess’ eyes as she choked back a sob and desperately held the prince’s gaze.

so kaku twitter space Q&A highlights (5/14/2023)
was casually listening to so kaku’s (kaguragi) twitter space while i was drawing, so here's some fun kingohger related + personal questions he answered that i noted down and translated!
(unfortunately i didn't record the stream though so you’ll just have to believe me)

probably yanma. he’s very cool and manly, and i like how high energy he gets

we have a social media manager who suggests which audio to do, and we (the actors) decide how we'll act it out together

all of them, but maybe because we’re shooting a lot of scenes with jeremy right now recently i talk to masashi ikeda a lot

he does, but i can't say what it is yet. there’s a really good scene (about it) so look forward to that
Q: how much of kaguragi’s hair is a wig? also how long does the hair and makeup take?
the entire thing is a wig. it used to take a lot longer to get into hair and makeup, but the makeup artists have gotten used to it/have gotten better at it so the process is a lot faster now, which i’m really grateful for
Q: i heard shiokara's actor does a lot of adlibs. do you do that a lot as kaguragi too?
“sukonbu piiman” (”sour konbu peppers”, kaguragi mishearing “sukopi”) was an adlib

it was at first, but i've gotten used to it now

Q: i love how hachi ohger incorporates kabuki movements in his fighting style. what's your relationship with kabuki?
i really like kabuki. it wasn’t a traditional kabuki production but when i was younger i saw a performance of “super kabuki” and thought it was really cool. as for kaguragi/hachi ohger, the suit actors and i would watch videos of kabuki actors and try to mimic their movements.

the haori (coat), definitely. it’s when i put it on that i really feel like i’ve transformed into kaguragi. but the outfit weighs 5 kilos... so heavy...

so during the roll call scene in episode 10 where aoto (yanma) said "eichi no ou, yanma gasuto! (king of wisdom, yanma gast!)" i thought he said "eichi" as in the latin letter “H” (in japanese, H = hentai/ecchi, in other words he thought yanma said he was “the king of perverts/sex” LOL)
Q: what's kaguragi's color? (asking for light stick reasons since there’s no black color setting on a light stick)

i joined in kinda late so there’s probably some questions i missed (and sorry if i remembered some details wrong, i was multitasking and not fully focused, but i did take simple notes) he also talked abt things like how he plays valorant and how great his muscle training is going etc (he lamented that kaguragi wears so much clothing and he doesn’t get to show off his muscles lol). i think i remember he also teased something about kaguragi and rita as a duo and something ~maybe~ happening with them in the plot
it was his first time hosting a twitter space and he gave off very boomer energy because he had No idea what he was doing. people kept trying to help him understand how to let in other speakers but he gave up lol xD he was kind of nervous but it was still a lot of fun! himeno and shiokara’s actors were there too, and he might do a twt space with the both of them next time ^^

-So I'm very excited to write this 'cause I've been meaning to do it for a while now. So yah here I go...
-I just love your art so so much! Like fr bro you give me so much joy with your fanarts. I haven't felt this attached to an artist and certain art style in a while but you bring it all back with what you're doing and I'm so extremely grateful. So y'know... Thank you deeply from the bottom of my heart.
-I love every piece you've made so far but I gotta say ... That one with the remake of the amazing Spider-Man 2 graduation was just out of this world. Andrew's spiderman is my favorite of the live action trio and I love that one part so much! But I gotta say... Take this as an idea lol... So there's one more part of that movie I deeply love. It's the part where Peter makes the "I love you" on a bridge and then takes Gwen and they make it up to each other... Can't help but see miles and Gwen do that as well. Like in the end of beyond like them getting together or like maybe Miles proposing like that IDK! Take my idea 💡!
-Ok so that's my fav fanart but I'm absolutely in love with their beautiful family! Their kids look so beautiful and them being together is something I treasure a lot! I love how you made the kids different then the comics and also the way you made Miles and Gwen! They look so good! I love Gwen's side braids and Miles haircut it's like... I don't see him doing it BUT I freaking love the spider detail in the side! I even told my friend that if I had my hair like Gwen someday I would add that detail! It looks so good! So perfect like chef's kiss! Also the first art I saw of their kids was that one with Peter B calling Miles and Gwen for having kids and them all just being like:

Agreed. Andrew is my favorite version of Peter, the vibe of his movies really speak to me. I love the scene you’ve mentioned, but it breaks my heart because of Gwen’s fate. However I would love to do that for Miles and Gwen. Right now I’ve got a lot of pieces in progress, so don’t expect it right away, but if I find a chance to do it I will ✨
I really enjoyed drawing their kiddos and had every intention of drawing them differently from the comics. I wanted to do my own interpretation of their kids since the spiderverse style if different from the comics. I actually based Gwen’s braids on some of her concept art, I loved that look (it’s viking-ish which I dig) so I wanted to do something with it.
Though Miles and Gwen 42 are not exactly canon, I still love the idea of them and so I’m glad you have enjoyed what I have made.
Just so you know, I’m very moved by what you said and all your heartfelt thoughts about my art. It’s lovely to hear what you think and how it has given you joy. It’s all I could’ve asked for as an artist so I hope you know how grateful I am 🩷

(no place like) home for the holidays
Its Christmas Eve! Which means its FINALLY TIME for me to unveil the very special project I've been working on! I got a Christmas-y, holiday-themed idea in my head several weeks ago that started out as a few loosely connected scenes, and eventually spiraled into a whole-ass novel 😅 and today I am so pleased to present my most recent labor of love to the Soul Eater fandom: (no place like) home for the holidays. Its centered around Soul and Maka visiting Soul's family for the holidays, and its fluffy, its sappy, its pine-scented, and its so so mushy. I really hope that if you read it, that you enjoy 💝🎄

Summary: After a bit of convincing from his overzealous but well-meaning older brother, Soul returns to his hometown in upstate New York for Christmas with his meister in tow. It's been more than ten years since he's been home, and along the way, he'll have to contend with more than just a long-buried past - travel delays, shitty motel rooms with less-than-ideal sleeping arrangements, Wes's horrible ugly sweaters, and, perhaps most daunting of all... his feelings for Maka.

Ch 1: All I Want For Christmas Is You
His phone rings just as he’s realizing he might be the slightest bit inebriated.
Incoming Call…
Wes
The only reason Soul picks up the phone is because he's on his fourth cup of eggnog - or is it his fifth? Truthfully, he's lost count at this point - and he'd woefully underestimated the potency of one sixteen-ounce pour of eggnog, let alone four or five of them.
(A rookie mistake, honestly, given that this year's Christmas party libations had been supplied by Black Star.)
Before he can think twice about it, he's swiping the green answer button and pressing his phone to the side of his face.
"'Sup?"
It's perhaps a bit too casual a greeting, considering he hasn't spoken to his brother in… months, now.
"Well, color me surprised," Wes chirps through the speaker, and Soul can't help how he cringes in response. "Is that you, little bro, or do my ears deceive me? I suppose I’ve simply forgotten what your voice sounds like, after all this time."
"…Should've sent you straight to voicemail."
"Oh, yes, voicemail, I love leaving those,” Wes hums thoughtfully. “Do you know, I’ve even taken to writing out my messages before I call you. Pity, I was quite excited about this one.”
Soul removes the phone from the side of his face and holds the top of it against his forehead as he draws in a long, slow breath, in part to dredge up his quickly dwindling patience, and in part in an effort to stop the room as it perilously spins around him.
Goddamn eggnog. Goddamn his brother.
When he holds the phone back up to his ear, he asks, as evenly as he can:
"What do you want, Wes?"
“I should think it's fairly obvious,” comes his brother’s reply. “I want to talk to you, Soul. If the fact that I continue to call you once per week despite your insistence on not answering doesn’t make that clear enough.”
"Alright," Soul leans backward against the kitchen counter and crosses one leg over the other. "So talk. Here I am."
Against all better judgment, he brings the red solo cup back to his lips and takes a hearty sip from the spiked eggnog sloshing around inside.
If he must converse with his older brother, maintaining his current level of intoxication will at least make it a tolerable experience.
“Jesus, Soul,” Wes laughs. “Don’t make it sound like talking to me is a death sentence, I just want to chat. What’s new, how’s life, how’s the… what is your title again? Death Knife?”
“Death Scythe.”
“Right! Silly me. How’s the Death Scythe thing going? No ulterior motives, I swear.”
Soul narrows his eyes in suspicion.
“I didn’t ask if you had any ulterior motives.”

Been a little bit since my last post! Sorry this one isn’t going to be a very long one either. I’ve been very busy with my new job and personal work, but I did want to talk about three movies I saw recently! And while I won’t spoil anything major, these thoughts may cloud your judgement going into the films, so I recommend avoiding if you wanna go in with an open mind. Anyway, let’s go:
BARBIE
Barbie was such a fun film! It made me laugh out loud way more than it had any right to. Seriously, there’s a joke Will Ferrel nonchalantly says that I can’t get outta my mind. I had tears in my eyes. Not gonna spoil it but if you know, you know. The themes are quite existential, but in a playful enough way that I didn’t leave it thinking “bummer…” If I had to complain about anything, it’s that Barbie was kinda inactive for the final act. To the point where I was asking myself “what is Barbie doing?” Maybe you’d see what I meant if you watched it. (Or disagree) I still had a good time tho.
It’s worth a watch!
TMNT MUTANT MAYHEM
This is my favorite TMNT movie now, and my favorite personification of the turtles. The art direction, emotional stuff, comedy, action, and characters were all on point. There’s a moment where Leo has a heart to heart with his bros that didn’t feel as earned as it could’ve (on first viewing) I only bring this up because it’s a thought I had as the scene was going on. Where as everything else in the movie felt organic and original, this scene felt like a tried and true motivational speech beat that these types of movies generally have. If that makes sense? I’d have to watch it again to be sure. And thankfully, I’d gladly watch it again because I had such a good time.

THEY CLONED TYRONE
This is a Netflix original and boy was I blown away. I swear, John Boyega is on Leo DiCaprio’s level of changing into a whole new person for his roles. I’m never sure who I’m gonna get. He really killed it. I’m not gonna spoil this movie and honestly if you go in blind it might be better. The directing is really REALLY good, too. There’s a scene that I really loved, where we’re with a character for an extended amount of time in one shot. This is to build tension for a pretty crazy moment afterwards and it was VERY well done. These types of scenes are so cool to me because I’m used to cutting often in animation. But in live action, these scenes are really good for getting inside a character’s head. I really can’t explain without spoiling but if you’ve watched the movie, I thiiiiink you know the scene I’m talking about.
Anyway, the cast, direction, and plot are all top notch. Jamie Foxx is hilarious as always, and Teyonah Parris gets to shine in this film. I loved her character in this compared to Wandavision where her talent was wasted.
I think this movie is perfect for the culture, but if you’re not typically into movies with a majority black cast that deals with African American issues (in a really good way) then you probably won’t be impressed. Your loss, though! I believe that this, alongside movies like The Woman King, The Harder They Fall, and Get Out are examples of movies that have clear parallels to others in their respective genres, but add a twist that I appreciate because of their characters and writing. I used to be stuck with hood movies, but now I get hood mystery movies. I love it, is all I’m saying.
Anyway, I know what the next deep dive is gonna be. I just need to set aside free time to write it up. I’ve been wanting to do a write up about beat em up games. My favorite one, in particular. I want to analyze what I like about it, and what I don’t. Might do more drawing to go alongside it too. Anybody remember Advance Guardian Heroes?? Brace yourselves, lol.

I’m getting ready for a long comic, so I’ve been writing down interactions I want to slightly alter/draw. Including dates.
I asked Gale to tell me a bit more about him, to which he replies with a very bare answer. Few hours later on the same day, bro tells me “I’ve grown confident enough to tell you something I’ve yet to tell another living soul.”
fast forward 2 days and I just got the first romance scene.
I’m at “very high” approval and we haven’t even done anything with the goblins or shadow druids. I haven’t even given him the first artifact.
it’s a bit crazy how fast this man falls for you, but I guess that’s just so it doesn’t feel as weird for him to confess his love by act 2? Either way, I love his romance path hehe

Still not quite sure how I feel about their approach to Wukong I love it because it makes sense for his LMK character but I also hate it because it takes away the part of him that makes him complex and reduces him down to like 90% of what he does being because someone else told him to do it rather than his own pride and desire for things and peoples issues with him, but that also is part of what makes it fit with this Wukong, glad they at least kept the circlet, don’t like how quick he came around to accepting it, unless someone threatened to kill his bros if he didn’t so he agreed to it to save their lives and THATS why Azure and the others got away scott free no problem, and then by then he experienced the power of the circlet so he had no choice but to seal them away, or he got bitter heck i don’t know Wukong’s character feels like its getting such a short end of the stick rn and I love it but hate it but like it but dislike it but HECK ITS JUST SO SLIGHTLY TO THE LEFT ITS THROWING ME OFF BUT THEY HANDLED IT REALLY WELL, IF ANYONE ELSE TRIED THIS I’D CRINGE BUT MONKIE KID HAS SUCH GOOD WRITERS AND ANIMATION THEY MAKE IT WORK SOMEHOW AND I’M OFFENDED BY IT HGBDFSFASF HECK DUDE

I adore Azure’s characterization though, he’s so funky and so in denial and I actually can’t wait to see what happens with him and if he turns on his other bros, cause a plot line with them seeing he’s kinda insane would be DOPE Wise old elephant can’t follow a lunatic for long right? How he treats Mk is very interesting because he does seem to see him like a nephew of some kind or at least thinks he should care about him, hence the “mercy” and focusing only on him rather than, like, Mei, who’s much more thrilled and looked up to him for a bit there. Cause Mk’s Wukong’s student so that makes him important to Azure. So, this little scene was in my head and I had to get it out before I could work on anything else. David and Dan having a little bro-chat about Nellie and Torrance. Setting: that night the War Dogs all went out in Tokyo last week that rewired my brain chemistry. Posting it now because it goes into Nellie and David's history from his perspective, and I don't know when or if it will get posted as part of a complete fic. Enjoy!
“I guess Torrance actually hasn’t told you.”
Dan’s brow furrowed. “Hasn’t told me what?”
David paused as he lit his cigarette. And then he said, “She’s helping me pick out a ring.”
Dan’s eyes widened in excitement. “You’re popping the question?” He clasped his shoulder. “Congrats, bruv! Seriously.”
“Thanks, man.”
“Look at you and Nellie getting all domesticated,” he grinned. “Bought a new place together, gettin’ married. You’ll be poppin’ out kids before you know it.”
“Oh trust me, we’ve talked about it,” David returned. “We want kids. But the timing has to be right. She’s on the run of her career right now and I don’t want interrupt that.”
“Oh, for sure, you have time,” he nodded. “How long have you two been together now?”
David blew a stream of smoke from his mouth before he answered. “Officially, about six months. But unofficially, it’s closer to a year.”
“Mm,” Dan nodded as he took a draw off his cigarette. “Yeah, Torr explained that whole situation to me.”
“It fucking sucked,” David wryly laughed. “It’s why I’m not wasting any more time. I’ve been thinking about proposing since the G1.” He laughed again, bringing his drink to his lips. “I’ve had it bad for her since twenty-seventeen, to be honest.”
“That long?” Dan asked in surprise.
He nodded. “That was when we first met, when she came here for her first tour with Stardom. The first time I saw her I was just like… fuck.”
Dan let out one of his signature cackles. “Schwing!”
“Fucking basically!” David smirked. “So I asked her out, and I swear she only said yes because she felt bad saying no… and I fucking blew it on that date. I was trying way too hard because I was so nervous. And after that I figured, yeah, she’s never gonna even look at me again. But we kept hanging out in group settings, and there was still chemistry there, you know?”
“Yeah, for sure,” Dan nodded.
“But then she left, and when I saw her again a year later, she was dating ZSJ.” He rolled his eyes. “I was like, fucking really?”
Dan laughed again as he tapped some ash off the end of his cigarette. “So, if you’ve wanted Nell for that long, did you ever get serious with anyone else?”
“Oh, yeah,” David confirmed with a nod. “This isn’t the first time I’ve considered proposing to someone.”
“Really?” Dan curiously asked.
“Mhm. I got real close to it a couple years ago with a girl I’d been with for a while. But she got used to my schedule during the pandemic and having me around and not gone for weeks or months at a time, and when I came back from the twenty twenty-one New Japan Cup, she told me she couldn’t be with me if I was gonna start regularly working in Japan again.”
Dan’s eyebrows arched. “She gave you an ultimatum?”
“Yeah,” he nodded. “So, we broke up. I was thinking about Nellie again within a week.”
“I hear that, bruv,” Dan breathed. “Did you get in touch with her?”
David laughed shortly to himself. “No, because she was with Jay. But honestly, I had a feeling even then he was gonna fuck it up.”
Dan cackled again. “And now you’ve taken a hell of a lot more from him than just Nellie.”
“Fuck yeah, I have,” David returned, and they clinked their glasses together in cheers and drank.
“In all seriousness, though, I’m buzzin’ for you, Dave,” Dan said. “I’m surprised Torr didn’t let something slip.”
David sent him a curious look as he took another pull from his cigarette. “What about you and her? It seems like you two are getting more serious.”
Dan nodded. “Yeah. It’s got me a bit scared, if I’m being honest.”
David smirked. “Well, I don’t know if this is gonna help or hurt, but I’ve known Torr a long time and seen her fuck up more than one relationship because she can’t get out of her own way. But she’s putting in more effort not to do that with you than I think I’ve seen her put in with anyone.”
Dan’s eyes turned distant and pensive as he took a long draw off his cigarette. He held in the smoke for a second, and then he expelled it from his chest and said, “Yeah, I don’t know if that helps or hurts, either.”
David slapped a hand on his back. “Don’t think about it too much,” he said just as the others rejoined them in the booth, Gabe loudly yelling about something.

life update:
i keep getting asked when monster will be returning, and while that’s perfectly fine and i have zero issue with it, i just want my followers to remember that i am a human. an adult human. i have a job, i have a life, i have responsibilities and commitments, and i have priorities. real talk, i had absolutely no intention of taking such a long break from writing. in fact, i never wanted a break from writing, period. it just happened. it’s not only monster that was paused, but creativity and passion in total. my last fic was that christmas one from last december bro.. and i didnt even realize that until like last month!
this year was weird, dude. not necessarily BAD, just… weird. like i can’t explain it, but i lost motivation. for a period, all i could do was stare at the ceiling and watch tiktok or something - and it wasn’t because i was in a depression. it was simply because i lacked motivation. i was in a burnout. every time i said i was pulling myself out of it, my mind and body said otherwise and i stayed put. so, i was pretty much forced to take care of myself and ease myself back into things when i became ready, there was literally no avoiding it. i’ve been re-reading monster to catch up, and to up the artistry i began drawing scenes that really stuck out to me. that’s why you see art from my own story appearing, i’m really diving back into the magic of it in my own method.
basically, monster will return when monster returns. i pressured myself for SO long to try and produce something but it just wasn’t coming out to my standard. once i lessened the slack on myself, that was when i finally began to feel a bit better. little by little, i’m feeling like an artist again and am rediscovering what i can do. if my writing means something to you, thank you. honestly. thank you. as the author, it means something to me too. again, i never wanted to leave this behind, i just needed to heal. no one is harder on me than myself, so unfortunately my critical mind caught up to me.
let’s be real tho, in real angie fashion, i hope that when it does come back y’all shit yourself.

lots of feelings after 6x06 so let’s bring it back:
honestly i’ve been loving this season so far because even tho we would love to see maya and carina at their happiest we knew the whole demotion and blackmailing was going to hit hard, we just didn’t imagine how hard. seeing maya lose herself into old ways was expected, we didn’t see actively get some proper help and nothing hinted that she was getting any so it makes sense she goes back to the only thing she knows by heart: eyes forward, i believe it doesn’t matter how much carina loves her and maya loves carina that’s not enough to get maya into a healthier space, sure, love does help but it’s not enough.
maya has been pushing herself so hard she doesn’t care if she gets physically hurt just because she’s not in the right mind space and that’s dangerous to her and the team, of course when other people bring it up she perceives this as a threat rather than help, even tho it took the team a little to realize she wasn’t okay. carina doesn’t really know the extent of maya’s mental state and i’m curious to see if she will ever find out
the whole pregnancy thing has been dragged BUT i think that after so many tries carina is pregnant but it was a false negative so she’s not really aware of it maybe something will get her to draw a blood work and she’ll realize it then she’s actually pregnant. i’m curious as i said while i was reacting to the episode how the possibility of carina being pregnant is the only thing makes maya pause, even when she mentioned “i thought you were pregnant” i think she smiled a little (or maybe is some wishful thinking)
i also think is safe to say most people thought oh maya is going to get hurt in a call because she wanted to be heroic but it’s interesting how she’s suffering the consequences of everything she has done, kinda poetic she’s responsible for her own demise, i don’t know, it gives maya so many layers as a character and to me that’s amazing (also danielle’s acting? bro, immaculate in my opinion). since this is not being rushed i think it’s gonna be amazing to she how maya gets better, we all thought the shower scene was her hitting rock bottom but now i’m guessing this is rock bottom
i guess all that’s left is to see how carina is going to react to this, she loves her wife so much and it’s the only family she has left, even tho maya can be enfuriating at times and carina has this explosive personality it doesn’t mean she does not love her. also even tho maya is not at the right place it doesn’t mean she’s not loveworthy, we all are (just want to put that out there). from this point i think after getting physically better maya will be the one to take the reins of her mental health and get better for herself and maybe while she’s recovering they find out carina is pregnant (fanfic much?) anyways, i think they’re having a girl OR twin girls, that’s my bet😂

I thought the guy needed some love! I’ve mainly written Nai hcs and Vash hcs but I’ve had some thoughts brewing of this guy :)
I was making this before I read @macncherries character study on Vash and Wolfwood and he definitely inspired some of this!
I definitely plan to expand on this but I wanted to start with headcanons before delving into drabbles and whatnot lol
-He has a mullet that’s not that taken care of. His hair is always messy dude
-hates constricting shirts. Tight collars make him go insane, he feels like he can’t breathe
-^^he does love loose turtlenecks more. He feels a little fancy, y’know? :>
-he’ll buy mints in bulk because he can’t smoke in class so he has some big ass gallon sized ziplock bag halfway full of mints where he fishes one out and eats it
-it’s a bit where he’ll have unwrapped ones and offer it like it’s a drug to Meryl LMAO
-he likes the feeling of loose linen colorful button ups. Vibrant orange looks wonderful against him, half of the top unbuttoned
-he’s paying off a motorcycle he got. Expensive? Yeah. But he like needed it. So…
-He’s got a used Nissan he’s also still paying off. He gives me Nissan vibes. Like think 2014 Nissan that’s somehow still working with a bit of dust on the dash and a makeshift ashtray in the center console + gum + mint wrappers randomly tossed in there.
-met Vash via Milly and Meryl (they wanted to form a study group and he was having a mini competition w Meryl over who’d get the highest test score on smth—-> became friends w Vash and reader who are very smart lol)
-when Wolfwood wasn’t presenting as masc as he is now (pre transition to mid transition) he wore his pants low on his waist like guys in the 90’s (reference that one scene in Clueless LMAO) with a part of his ass hanging out- made him feel more masc in a time where it was harder for him.
-he likes honking when he drives. Vash called him a goose because he honks so mf much

IMO he totally likes a more subdued grungy vibe but still harbors a love for vibrant button ups
Referencing to the photo w the denim jacket? He def has 1-2 denim jackets he sticks to for comfort and I think one day when he’s feeling especially wacky he’ll go crazy with it and start using bleach or puffy paint on the sleeves. He felt it was lacking. Perhaps the fangs on the back, perhaps the punisher drawn on the back, etc. He let Vash draw little stars on the shoulders and tiny smiley faces :)
For the second two next to the denim jacket one I feel like he’d get tshirts for the sole purpose of making them tank tops. He likes to show off his armpit hair sometimes, it’s gender affirming for him, and plus he gets hot out very easily. (Why do you think his shirt is always unbuttoned?? Because he’s a whore??) yes
But patchwork button ups and colorful shirts like that are very cool and I think he’d like those on occasion.
-He likes classic rock like idfk Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, along w other artists and alt genres. The guy has taste, give him respect
-he def has like 2 pairs of shoes and doesn’t switch them. Like Birkenstocks he found at the thrift that are lowk falling apart and these boots he found half off (also at the thrift) that are also falling apart from overuse
-I feel like he’d accidentally dress like grungy Adam Sandler in the summer LMAO
-the dude always has tension headaches and it’s either from the constant smoking, the withdrawal of smoking because he can’t smoke in class, or the immense amount of stress he feels
-He acts as chauffeur for the ladies and Vash because he claims Meryl’s music taste is mid and Vash at the wheel is a nightmare
-(both him and Vash are gentlemen in their own way for the girlfriends Milly and Meryl. Guard dogs fr. I love this dynamic hehe)

Okay so i realised im a fucking idiot and that i’ve been sending you shit through “?” And i have no idea where those messages go through so whoopdy doo ig but in my defence i wasnt able to send anything any other way bc.. uhh.. yeah my email wasn’t confirmed n all that. Anyways i only now finished reading svs because i’ve been putting it off in favour of reading different fics (works from other fandoms and… ooc soukoku fics. Listen i hate mischaracterisation as much as the next guy but i find them very entertaining okay) and AAAUURGGHH WHAT A BANGER. The way you write is immaculate if svs was a food it’d have a savoury taste like i’d be liking my fingers n shit. I found out about it when you posted on twitter you updated it (it was the smut chapter, by the way) and i was like “huh” and decided to read it and my god am i glad I didn’t skip over that tweet.
Idk if this was on purpose or not but verlaine is kinda cringefail in your fic and i love it. I am a firm believer that as badass as verlaine is he is undeniably embarrassing and i need MORE of that.
My one criticism for svs is that we needed more adam scenes. He should have been added like really, unnecessarily early on in the fic and act as a third wheel in the fic. But like a third wheel soukoku did not want or ask for but he’s just kinda there they can’t really get rid of him. Chuuya and dazai in their divorce arc arguing and adam is in the background thinking “i could crack a really funny joke from this” (on that note i added the lines “Adam’s blabbering makes more sense now, so they act as if nothing has happened. “When I lift this veil, you will seal the deal with a kiss.” He can’t stop himself from laughing, “I hope you enjoyed that joke too.” “We didn’t,” Verlaine says from across the shrine. “Paul be quiet.”” In my “collection of fanfic lines I chuckled at” in my notes. He’s so silly i love him. I love how he laughs at his own jokes he just like me fr.)

I have no idea how long chuuya’s hair is supposed to be like idk if it’s “yeah his hair is a little longer than it is in canon haha” or “yeah mf got some LONG ass hair looking like rapunzel”. OKAY SO. I grabbed some coffee on the way
I forgot to eat, but that was okay
I was excited to spend the night
Staying up to watch all seven Saw movies

In addition to my last post about the Mars Concert 2021 documentary (Mango TV) I wanted to post a couple of gifs I made myself this time but even though I love gifs and how they capture certain moments in all their glorious detail and you can just stare at this one glorious moment as long as you please, in this particular case I wish I could just post video clips instead (which I won’t because Mango TV and copyright and better safe than sorry), mainly because hearing what is actually said, how it is said, the tone of voice, would make it so much better, which is why I ended up making gifs for only two scenes.
The first set just shows the stage when the flower got to see it in reality for the first time prior to the concert. He sounded so happy and impressed, which yeah, understandable. Must be overwhelming to see this in reality.

His voice actually makes all the difference in the scene below. The gifs alone don’t really give you an idea of the emotional impact of the scene. It’s after the concert on day 2 when he’d just performed Flower in a Small Town for the first time.
When I sang Flower in a Small Town I actually...I almost cried. But I didn't want to cry. I feel that I shouldn't be so...sad.
The way he pauses for a split second and then says...”sad”.

Last but not least, I thought I might as well post the two messages of Martians they included in the documentary that were posted on Weibo when it became clear that due to new pandemic prevention measures just a day before the first concert one third or even half the fans who wanted to attend the concert all of a sudden weren’t allowed to travel at all or to enter the concert grounds.

Want to post on the Super Topic. I still haven't decided what to say. I can't talk to you directly, let's talk online, Hua Chenyu. From the time the Mars Concert was announced officially it's been magical. Two years, an amusement park, standing tickets, new songs, and all kinds of activities. You've mentioned it countless times with a little pride that this is a really awesome concert, it's a near perfect concert according to your ideal! I've also bragged about it to people around me: Look, big bro made the whole thing for us! Look, the stage from Mars! Look, we have super awesome Ms. Fires! As the concert was drawing close, my heart has been on a rollercoaster these two days. The sudden eruption of the pandemic in Shanghai shocked everyone. After my colleague told me about it yesterday and when I called the hospital asking about the RNA tests, my voice shook. I know from the depth of my heart that I can't blame anyone, and I can't even remotely blame you. Everything is so difficult. But it's not possible that we will complain.But you should know that we are just a little sad and a little unsatisfied that we can't hear you say "Welcome Home", can't enjoy our amusement park with you. But I still know that there is still a place where the spring is warm and the flowers are blooming.
