Chapter 4: The Concrete Building
July 6, 2009 Earth  The sun crept higher and higher into the soft blue sky. Birds were chirping, bugs where about and a suspicious looking man with a child weaved their way through the foliage of the forest. The surrounding trees seemed to dance in the wind, it being the only sound.  The child looked up at the man, taking in as much detail as she could. His piercing, almost unnatural, green eyes. His broad shoulders and strong build. She then noticed a strange looking tattoo on the back of his neck, just below his buzz cut. It looked like a bullseye, but with strange wavy lines surrounding it and 4 straight lines, almost emulating a compass.  He could feel her blue-green eyes on him and looked down causing her to shrink in herself for a moment. This man was very intimidating up close. “Trying to burn a hole in my head kid?” he asked sarcastically. She frowned. “I was just lookin’.” It wasn't that he hated kids, but he hated kids. They were annoying little gremlins and just couldn't stand them. So what was it he needed her for?  Bait of course.  They soon came out of the forest onto a dirt road in the middle of nowhere, thick trees and other assorted plants on either side. She had lived in these woods her whole life and never knew this was here. “Where are we?” she asked. “Halfway to the place.” He said as he kept walking further down the dirt road. He turned to see her still at the tree line they had just came out of. “Come on kid!” he called. “But I-” He stopped and turned. “Come on damn it!” She looked back in the direction of her house and with a heavy sigh she casually made her way toward him. He began to walk at a brisker pace and her little legs struggled to keep up.  They had walked along this seemingly endless road all day only stopping occasionally for 5 minute brakes. They didn't talk that much as Dilo had nothing to say and the girl was to afraid to ask him anything. The sun had begun to set  casting the sky several shades of pink and orange. It was past her curfew. She knew she was going to be in trouble.  Suddenly, the man came to a halt. “Wha-” but before she could get the word out his hand went over her mouth. That was when she heard it too.  Gunfire.  It was rhythmic, as if it was a 21 gun salute in the middle of the woods.  Boom Boom Boom “Where close.” He said. “From now on we go through the woods.” His pace had become that of a jog and she struggled even more to keep up. After some time, as the moon rose in the sky, casting strange shadows through the trees. She ran out into somewhat of a clearing and Dilo had to yank her back into the cover of the woods.  They had come to a place like she had never seen before. It was a large, grey concrete building. It was 2 stories high and as big as a barn. It gave off a strange energy that seemed to pull in things. She noticed that most of the plants around it where sick and dying. She knew that whatever this place was, she didnt want to be here. She was to scared to go in and to scared to leave. Dilo took note of this and shook her a little.  “Kid, I know it’s scary but if you want to save your family here's what you need to do.” He picks up a few rocks. “Here's the plan. This rock is you,” He placed it in front of a big piece of wood representing the building. “You need to go up and distract the guards as best you can.” He picked up a different rock. “Im going to go in. after 3 minutes your job will be over and you can leave and we never have to see each other again got it?”  “but-” she started. “If anything goes wrong, either go with the guards or run as fast as possible to the dirt road ok?” She nodded her head. “and my family?” Dilo stood and made his way to the right of the building. “If this works they’ll be fine.” and with that, he had disappeared into the shadows. She knew her family would be fine....but what about Dilo?

Chapter 3: Just call me Dilo
Date: July 6, 2009 Location: Earth (her house)  She opened her eyes early that morning. The suns warm light turned the clouds rich shades of purple and orange and yellow. She looked around to find herself in her room, on her soft bed as if the monster from the night before had never- Oh hell the monster! and that guy!  Her mind began to race as she struggled to untangle herself from her blankets. Pillows and her stuffed bear fell on the floor as she raced out of the room and into the hallway.  Nothing. No monster. No mysterious man. Just that same hallway that had always been there. She sighed, defeated. Must have been a dream then.. She made her way to the bathroom to get ready for the day ahead, but when she turned the light on, a familiar - and horrifying- sight assaulted her vision. It was the masked monster from her dream. Its dead stair and horrible grin plastered to its front.  She screamed and ran to her parents room. They woke up and followed her to the bathroom, but that thing was no longer there. They told her it was just a bad dream, but she knew better. She stared long and hard into the mirror, when a clever idea formed in her head.  “I’ll find that guy. He’ll tell me what is going on.”  and with that, she finished getting ready and ran out the door armed with nothing more than hope. Hope she would find him, whoever he was. Hope that he would know what to do. Hope that that thing wouldn't hurt her family while she was gone.  Time: 10:30 am Location: Earth (the woods)  His head was killing him. His muscles ached. He was pretty sure that ugly bastard from the night before broke a few of his ribs. He had found shelter in a small dried up creak bead in the woods.  Have to keep going he thought. I have to get to her before they do.  He heard twigs snapping. His mind began to race. Its them, they found me. He ran behind a tree and puled one of the branches back. Whatever it was, it was coming closer.  He let the branch go, and as he did, it let out a loud -THWACK! as it hit its target. He then heard a higher pitched, slightly obnoxious voice cry out. “oUCH! THAT FRICKEN HURT!” His eyes widened when he realized what he hit was no monster, it was a child. The same girl from last night.  fuck. “Sorry kid,” He said. His voice was somewhat hollow, but firm. “didn’t mean to hit you.” He helped her to her feet as she dusted herself off. “What are you even doing out hear?” He asked. She looked up at him, his height and strength incredibly noticeable. “w-well im looking f-for you..sir..” She stammered.  “That thing. from last night, it’s still in my house.” She explained. “And your such a good fighter i thought maybe you could, um, kill it..”  He cocked an eyebrow at her request and after a moment, he stated simply “Sorry kid, can’t help you.” He turned and made his way down the gravel bar. “I have my own problems im trying to fix”  “wah..wAIT!” she barked. She ran up to him and followed close behind trying not to stumble or lose him in the thick foliage of the forest floor. “Come one you have to help me!” She pleaded. “Yeah, says who?” He asked in a somewhat condescending tone.  “uh, ME! that who!” She replied. She had never been a very patient child and that wants about to change now. “Please?” He stared ahead and began to walk faster, hoping he could lose her. “No kid. That thing is not my problem. Its yours now.” He turned to face her only to find that she had dispersed.  “Kid?” he asked.  He turned back around and there she was. She had somehow snuck past him. She had a long stick aimed at his heart. “If you wont help me..i’ll just have to make you.” She said.  He simply looked at her in amusement. He leg-swept her and she landed on the rocks with a thud. She grunted and got back up, stick still in hand. “Don’t make me! I have mad skill!” She proceeded to wave the stick wildly about her head and even attempted a flip, which landed her back on the ground with an even louder thud. He smiled and rolled his eyes, walking past her he said  “Sorry kid. It’s just out of my hands”   “Please...” She said, barley above a wiper. Her head was in her hands and she began to cry ever so quietly. “I just don’t want it to hurt my family..” She said between hiccups.  He stared at her and didn’t know what to do. How could a girl so loud become so quiet? Then it hit him. Maybe this kid could be of use to him after all.  “Kid..” He kneeled down and put his hand on her back. “Listen..” She looked up at him with tiers in her eyes. “Kid...how about this. I’ll help you if you help me.”  “How?” She asked.  “I’ll explain on the way.”  She thought for a moment and soon replied “Okay..but i never got your name..”  He hesitated for a moment “ Just call me Dilo.” He said as he held out his hand.  “Im Lynn!” She replied.  They shook hands and made their way down the gravel bar, unknowing that they where being followed.  She now knew who they where.  Meanwhile.. Location: a shady facility, hidden deeply under an undisclosed location. level 12 cell block: DCLXVI - -001-C It is hear I wait A figure is heavily chained to a wall opposite of the only door. It is dark. and cold.  so very cold I have been waiting for my key, my chance of freedom for so many eons.  I feel as if my time is coming quickly. Im so close to freedom. To power.  My time of reckoning has come.  A figure raises its head to revile black eyes that seemed to emit some type of black glow. It took on a slimier appearance of smoke.   And nobody will be able to stop me this time!

Chapter 2: Angle or Demon?
Date: July 5, 2009 Location: Earth She laid in her bed as the storm outside grew more violent with each bolt of lighting. As she lay, board out of her mind, thoughts and memories and pictures and sounds flowed through her conciseness.  It had been a year and a day since the whistling noise she had heard that afternoon in the back yard. Why was the memory so clear to her? What could it mean? A loud crash yanked her out of her thoughts. It sounded like it was from outside the door. She creeped up to the door holding her breath. It was 2:30 AM, everyone in her house was asleep weren't they? She listened for a moment and put her hand on the knob.  Nothing could have prepared her for what was waiting on the other side. What had once been a hallway was now a large space covered in a black and white checker pattern. Its dimensions where unreal. It couldn’t have been her house. She stood in silence, in fear, unable to move. She slowly looked down, her door had to have been several feet above the ground.
There below she saw a man, tall, short buzzed hair, covered in cuts and bruises wearing what she could only guess to be a hospital -or prison- jump suit. In front of him was what could only be described as a nightmare.  It was huge, black -like it was made of oil- and had this creepy white mask with a painted on smile on the front. It spoke in a strange, whispered tone that was loud enough to echo off the walls.  “yyoouuu huummannnsss aarreee aaalll tthheee ssaaammmee” it said. “Yyyooouu dddoonnn’ttt kkknnoowww wwwhhheeennn ttttooo gggiiivveee uuupppp” “Yeah well, it’s kinda what we do.” Replied the man in a somewhat condescending tone.  He lunged at it, aiming all his force to the mask that served as this things face. It swiftly dogged the blow, causing the man to slam into a wall. It gave out the most bone chilling cackle and put its oozing “hand” on his back, crushing him. “yyyyooouuuu aaarrreeee aaasss ffooolliiisshhhh aaaassss Aaammmrrrr wwwaaassss” The man was confused by this.  “Who’s Amr?”  He thought.  The girl watched this in frozen terror, unable to move. There was a voice in her head, thoughts that weren't hers. It spoke. help him  you can do it  get the sword She pried her eyes off the horrifying sight below her to see her wooden sword laying in the floor. She swallowed her fear, picked it up, and jumped off the ledge of the door. She seemed to fly through the air, as if gravity had no physical meaning for her in this realm.  She landed on the back of the creature, surprising it, as she proceed to smack it’s “head” with her sword. It jolted back sending her flying across the room causing her to hit her head on the wall, knocking her out cold. This distraction gave the man enough time to jump on the thing, plunge his fist into the back of its head, and pull a large green and red glowing crystal about as big as a football.  Its body then bubbled and boiled into the floor, but not before it gave out one last ear-shattering scream. The monster was no more.
