Final finished a book that has been their on my shelf for so so long. Persepolis is an autobiographical graphic novel by Marjane Satrapi that tells the story of her childhood and teenage years in Iran during the Islamic Revolution. The book is a powerful and poignant account of the author's experiences as a young girl growing up in a country that is undergoing radical political and social changes. Satrapi's use of simple black and white illustrations, combined with her strong narrative voice, make the book both accessible and engaging. Her drawings are expressive and convey a lot of emotion, adding depth and meaning to the story. What makes Persepolis particularly powerful is the way that Satrapi is able to humanize the Iranian people and show that they are not a monolithic group that can be easily defined. She shows that there are many different perspectives and experiences within the country, and that people's lives are shaped by a complex mix of religion, politics, and culture. Overall, Persepolis is a moving and thought-provoking book that offers a unique perspective on the Islamic Revolution and its aftermath. It is a must-read for anyone interested in understanding the complexities of Iran and the Middle East. #bookreview #bookstagram #booklover #books #bookstagrammer #bookworm #book #booknerd #bookish #bookrecommendations #reading #bookaddict #bibliophile #booksofinstagram #readersofinstagram #booksbooksbooks #bookblogger #bookcommunity #bookshelf #bookaholic #bookphotography #read #bookreviewer #igreads #booklove #goodreads #bookclub #reader #bookreviews #bookblog https://www.instagram.com/p/CqkpwcjLEdh/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

The term "wabi-sabi" refers to an aesthetic philosophy and vision applied to things that openly accepts the deterioration and transience of existence, both human and material. It alludes to beauty in imperfections and the value of time. Wabi-Sabi also has lessons to teach us about how to live our daily lives and how to view the world and life itself.
