Ok one fun au idea I like reading about from the SiMarkus tag on AO3 is when the two meet pre-deviancy/Jericho. A prototype model like Markus having his attention taken by a regular PL600 but he’s not a regular PL600 to Markus ‘he’s different’

Obviously this throws a wrench into Simons own deviancy timeline and Jericho as a whole BUT! I like to think Simons owners knew about his deviancy and kept it a secret and maybe the evens of Daniel’s hostage case had Cyberlife halt production on PL600’s. Simon gets taken out of the home he was working for and somehow ends up in Leo’s service or something— he’s hiding his deviancy maybe?

The two androids talking more and Markus is unaware he’s going deviant till Leo breaks in post Carls Art Exhibit and idk after that the events from Markus’ pov probably still follow but with Simon at his side now. Simon probably tried reasoning with Leo and Markus over the yelling and then the police show and ya know, they both get shot.

Would I have the two of them be in love prior to the landfill and Jericho? Yes, adds to the angst and stuff.

Note: Simon in Leo’s care is obviously a bad thing. He’s on red ice and I would be remiss to not think that he’d at least at some point use Simon as a red ice mule of a sort.
