Peaches. Steve blushed as he ate a peach rhodey bought. The man liked peaches as much as steve did. Steve loved them more than apples. That entire rumor that he is apple pie and sunshine. Of course, rhodey thinks the last part.

Peaches! Steve threw the core in some clean water. Got it ready to be planted on the tower garden area. However, he couldn't help himself to think about it.

"Hey peaches," Rhodes voice echoed. Steve assumed he was talking to fruit.

When in reality it was to steve. Steve who had a peach in his mouth. Rhodey licked his lips clean from the juice. The colonel gave a kind smile as he took his own peach.

Steve was peaches. Reason why? Steve wanted to assume but he looked at rhodey who quietly explained why he calls Steve peaches to clint.

"Blonde, sweet, refreshing, and he blushed this exact red."

Steve fought the blush, but the pounding in his chest told him that he is sucker for the sweet talk. Peaches.

The nickname quickly became a favorite one night, when rhodey mumbled around the shell of his ear, Steve seeing white before a bliss grin, "mm, you think bears can eat peaches?"

Steve grinned confidently at the light shade in those strong cheeks, the war machine pilot chuckled, "I'd eat you if that helps."
