Hello sorry to bother you with this all of sudden and this might be coming out of nowhere but I m trying to get more people into this show with great potential Have you heard of or watched moon girl and devil dinosaur? season 2 comes out February 2 it the main character i love she gives me autistic vibes I’m autistic has interesting characters, action ,great music, and animation ,good themes and representation Anime references it even has an eyecatch. Season 2 is going to be more story driven if you find that interesting it be good if you watch season 2 episode when they air so the ratings will be higher I’m scared Disney might be trying to sabotage the show with airing 2 episodes a week when it airs on Disney channel February they did the same with season 1 and the ratings where low despite that it still won 5 Emmys

I have seen a bit of it! And yeah, I like it! But uh... the boycott, dude. Disney's been supporting Israel w/ the whole Gaza situation so I'd actually advise against doing this. It's sad, and frankly there's little to no 100% ethical consumption under capitalism to my understanding, but no cartoon is worth indirectly giving cash to the genocidal if we don't ABSOLUTELY need to. Don't take it personal though, I'm guessing you didn't know.

Theres something really insidious about how gastric bypass advocates deny that essential organ mutilation is unhealthy.

"I've lost so much weight I'm so healthy" your stomach is mutilated.

"My doctor is praising my progress" your stomach is mutilated.

"I fit in so many more clothes now"

Because an essential, life sustaining organ in your body was cut up and your digestive system rerouted.

Health isn't the end all be all of value, humanity or importance but I feel like there is a huge lie here when this is "healthy" and it's just ignored.

Sorry to just bring this up out of no where but I was reminded of how little this is really talked about in bypass circles. Like, no matter what, you are now unhealthy. The spector of health continues. The Ouroboros is unbroken. Only this time it's doctor approved.

I think it’s kinda a shame how far zombies got from their source material

Don’t get me wrong, I like the way that they evolve over time reflects the fears of the people in that time period, but I still wish there was more of a connection to its source

So (this is just a really quick recap but I encourage everyone to go read up on more of it), zombies originated from Haiti (specifically Haitian slaves), and they weren’t violent, they were corpses reanimated against their will to continue being slaves, and the fear surrounding them was about becoming one, having your restful sleep stolen from you, and not being able to have that peace in death because of some jackass with magic

And yeah nowadays there’s a fear in being bitten, but idk, it’s less about the fear of becoming part of the horde and more about the fear of being torn apart by the horde, it’s not like how werewolves agonize over being werewolves, and I think it should be more like werewolves

Like even when a person has been bitten and is slowly becoming a zombie, it’s not really framed from their perspective of the fear of losing themselves and not being able to rest in peace, it’s always framed from the perspective of their loved one coming to terms that they may have to kill them to protect themselves

“Oh hell is full so that’s why the dead roam the earth” those are good people!!! who had their eternal rest robbed from them!!!!

I just. I just wish that killing a zombie was more about having mercy on them
