Anyone who stumbled upon this before reading the Ruin and Rising book, I'm sorry.

My wretched heart can't take the death of the Darkling😭😭😭😭

And his final words with Alina!! Just fucking kill me.

I know he's bad for Alina and his ideologies are fucked up but god damn, his nuanced and layered characterisation was developed so well. If the Darkling had a redemption arc at the end of the book, I probably wouldn't have liked it much because the unflinching persona of the Darkling is what made me love him as a character.

Low key disappointed that Alina lost her powers. I understand it was needed for a whole meaningful outcome of the story but still, I'm disappointed.
