The Queen’s Gambit 👑♟did a quick study of Beth Harmon played by Anya Taylor-Joy. —  Binge-watched this show because I just can’t say no to a period drama. 👀✨ I was immediately intrigued during its release. The story was so engaging that I didn’t notice the sun rising as I watched it. I managed to squeeze in a few hours of sleep before waking up again for the day. 💦 Of all the characters, I like Mr Shaibel the most. 🥺💕 I have a soft spot for the elderly and I completely lost it at the end. He has pale blond hair that is almost white. His heterochromia makes people feel uncomfortable whenever he stares at them and he uses this to his advantage. He might be scary in looks, but he’s also smart, kind, and courageous. This is him after the Battle of the Blackwater where he fought bravely and successfully turned the tide. He lost his nose and almost died. Wrapped around him is the chain for the Hand of the King.

I didn’t want to draw him as just the ugly person that people perceived him to be. I think of him as a lonely character who just wants to feel loved and accepted.

I think her childhood was interesting and relatable (minus the drama and murder ofc). Dany may have dragons, but Arya’s got a direwolf and she can warg. If that’s not badass enough, she’s also part of a guild of assassins. She’s just perfect to me. As for ships, Arya and Gendry would make the cutest couple!! They just don’t know it yet. This is how I imagined her to be while reading asoiaf. ✨It is said that she had a long face, dark hair, and that she was such a skilled rider that some people described her as a centaur or half a horse herself. Her brother, Eddard Stark thought that King Robert Baratheon was infatuated with her and saw her only for her beauty; and that he did not see the wildness and iron underneath. Eddard compared her to his tomboyish daughter Arya in looks and personality, adding that Lyanna probably would have carried a sword if their father had allowed it.
