My favorite thing about yesterday’s Succession, was being devastated by the situation, and tearing up, because Logan is dead and the kids didn’t get any real closure and then thinking to myself “I should not cry, he was a horrible person.”

And then being sad again, because I love /hate Logan as much as his kids do. I admire his ruthlessness, because in an environment like that, it is needed. Because he came from nothing, and made himself and it takes losing a lot of humanity to get to a position like that on your own. Because, he believes people should EARN what he’s earned, and not be gifted it.

I hate him because he’s a monster. A master manipulator, a punisher, an abuser. Because he loves his kids, but doesn’t know how to love them. Because he’s punished them all of their lives for the lack of love he got from his own parents. Because he tests them all the time, maybe because he needs to feel loved by them in his own twisted way, but also because he’s a fucking narcissist and cruel.

And for a whole hour I am constantly battling those feelings of “He can’t be dead. He can’t be dead. He can’t be. We need him. They need him.”and “Omg they did it. Finally. They don’t have to fight anymore. They are free. He deserved to die alone.”

Camila Morrone… what a revelation! She’s seriously one of the most stunning women a I’ve seen out there, but I really dismissed her as just a model. I stand corrected because she’s wonderful in Daisy Jones and The Six. She brings so much heart and sweetness to the show and she’s a great actress too.

Oh and Leo is a moron. Anyway, love Camila!

Love Sam and Riley as well obviously the casting is great! They’re all so charismatic as they should be.

None of the crows were supposed to be in the S&B timeline the way that it is in the show. In the books the backstory of Nina and Matthias is told in flashbacks, and their storyline doesn’t really start or hasn’t really started yet, technically.

I hate that they had Nina call him the love of her life. Too soon, and I feel like Nina wouldn’t really accept that to herself this early.

But their actual story isn’t going to start until the new season, which sucks. I was hoping this season covered the crows (and Matthias) a bit more.

i am once again asking if i am supposed to be moved by the whole matthias/nina storyline
