I feel like the most boring person to follow because I cycle between drawing like 3 characters tops, but on the other hand, I follow tons of people who does the same thing and I don’t mind that at all. It’s strange how we hold ourselves to such different standards, but maybe I’m maybe more self conscious about it than I think others are.

I showed this to my girlfriend and we were losing our absolute shits for 15 minutes straight :’D It’s crazy how this single sheet can paint this character so damn well, without so much other context. That Blood ritual comment though!!! I’m so curious and want answers!!

Unlike Theo, Ambroys has enough romantic experience to more accurately understand what he wants out of intimate relationships. That does not make him any less maladapted for romance.

(Do you know how hard it was to come up with green flags for Ambroys. Nearly impossible task.)

Second raffle prize for @the-missann, featuring a Silph! I’m not so used to drawing after written descriptions, so it was definitely a challenge, but that’s just the secret ingredient to growth! I thought of two serpents conjoined by the lower mandible, where it also splits to the two halves. Thanks for your patience, and I hope you like it!

What do you do in game dev if not art?

I used to be an artists in the industry for a short while, but I liked doing art as a hobby more and not so much as work. Today I work as something called a technical artist, which is a support department that bridges between art and code to varying degrees, depending on your specialty. Is a very broad department, but very niche at the same time. My focus are things like shaders/ rendering (think material effects like water, terrain, making customisable skins, post processing effects, toony vs realistic rendering), but I also do some gameplay bug fixing, and I get to smack artists with a newspaper when they go out of our performance budget :)

To @vcr-wolfe whom I've admired for a very long time and who always end up finding me for the past decade despite my online presence is garbage. And finally to @custycust whom I remember from my fandom days years back, yet gave me a follow even though I don't really fandom engage these days. All of you are such big motivators! Getting back into art is an uphill battle, but each and every one of you makes the slope less steep and for that I'm super grateful <3

I’d buy the shit out of an artbook or card deck of this. Absolutely stunning and mesmerising to look at. It’s like getting lost in all of the details of a Klimt painting
