Gimmie some Sandman!Maggie headcanons you peanut 🗡

I’m sorry this is so late! Just got around to clearing out the inbox =] 

 - Maggie can hover. She can hover about a metre off the ground without any work done on her part, and the others are so, so jealous of that. 

 - Maggie also leaves behind trails of sand sometimes. When someone (usually Anne or Joan) is looking for her, they can feel around for sand or just notice it on the ground. 

- She’s very good with puzzles (not as good as Maria, though), and surprises the whole gang with her deciphering of a Caesar shift when they all meet up for lunch once.

- Food? She doesn’t need it; she can feed off of dreams and even sleep. Still, though, she likes the way it tastes.

- Maggie doesn’t necessarily sleep herself; she is always somewhat conscious. 

- She has a “spirit form” that shows sometimes if she’s really low on energy. People can walk straight through her when she turns into this, and she sometimes avoids self-care on purpose just to freak people out or walk through walls.

- All sandmen/women/enbies carry a little pouch of sand around their necks, usually sand from an area that means a lot to them. Once put in the pouch, the sand has different properties, ranging from healing properties to poison magic.

Music and stuff is pretty different in this universe (although that song may in fact be a thing), but if she were a Sandman in this universe, absolutely. She’d think that song was written for her and her alone, completely disregarding the fact that there are many, many other Sand(wo)men in the world.

Please....I desire Succubus Bessie headcanons

lkfadsjlk!!! thank you for asking!!!

-So Bessie is the only one of the group who is immortal (save for Cathy but she doesn’t really count yet) and she’s been around since like... a very long time ago. 

-She ages way slower than everyone, so she’s basically at the physical and mental age of a university student although chronologically, she’s been around for a little over a thousand years.

-She has extreme regeneration, so if she gets hurt or if she’s ill she’s fine after a while of rest

-She’s asexual which is actually sorta problematic for her, being a succubus and all

-So she doesn’t really need to have intercourse to get energy; it’s just an easier way to do so. 

-Every type of person has a small tie to one of the world’s elemental beings, and for Bessie it’s air. This is very very important askljfdak

-Every succubus can be summoned by a witch/warlock or by someone who they give a spell to. Katherine uses this a few times to summon her, but it’s usually because A, Bessie wants her to, or B, it’s important. Of course, some dickhead warlocks summon her, too...

-Bessie can shapeshift a moderate amount, but only when she has enough life force energy to do so

-Things that increase life force energy (what keeps succubi alive): sexual intercourse, murder, birth, shows of love

-In addition to all the summoning stuff, Bessie can also teleport. And fly. She has wings.

-She has slit pupils like a cat’s and a forked tongue. She can hiss and purr, too. She also has a tail.

-She, Joan, and Katherine get along way too well. Everyone else finds it really unnerving, especially after Cathy ruins stuff for everyone else. Shit might be ruined, but those three still stick together for the most part.

-Bessie is also immune to Joan’s murder vision so they vibe really well.

-She studies communication and media studies because throughout her very long life, she’s always been interested in how people communicate (and how communication messes everything up), and now she likes seeing how media can play with that.

-She tries to twine her tail with people when she’s happy...

-...but the tip is venomous so she has to be reallyyyyy carefullllll.

-She’s pretty strong ngl, she doesn’t look it but she can lift a car if she puts all her strength into it

-And her wings look sorta like a mix between dragon wings and bat wings.

Sort of, maybe, I’m not too sure. One is in the beginning for plot reasons, but I’m definitely still deciding on that (I usually don’t write ships but I am a little tempted)

*finger gunz* back atcha with another question lmaoo. So for Kit, since she's a vampire... is there any vampire lore that's different form your stereotypical vampire?

Actually, there is -

-she can only drink blood from certain kinds of people, like, no werewolf blood for her

-she won’t burn if you put her in sunlight. she does get itchy sometimes tho so she wears sunscreen all the time

-she can hear different frequencies sometimes if she tilts her head a certain way. they call her the walking radio as a nickname

-she’s got a beating heart. now, it needs a bit of help, which is where the bloodsucking comes in - but she’s basically a reanimated corpse with working body systems, but everything works much slower.

-she doesn’t necessarily stop aging until she’s in her 30s physically, but she does physically age slower to keep her in her prime longer. she looks younger than she is.

-you can’t see her clearly in mirrors. you might be able to see an outline, or if she’s standing in front of someone or something, the things she’s standing in front of will be incredibly distorted and you might be able to see her hair colour or skin tone or something she’s wearing, maybe a stray smile.

-same applies to cameras unless you get a certain type

-because vampires are made to last longer, she has extra muscles around her larynx to help her use oxygen better and utilise what she has. her voice is hardly ever breathy when speaking because of this.

-(this also makes her purr when happy because the muscles rearrange and vibrate, causing the air that goes through her larynx to vibrate and a soft noise to come out)

-her fangs are retractable! they’re like a second set of canines above and in front of her normal canines, but they generally don’t hurt when they come out.

-some vampires lisp around their fangs because they can’t form letters and words properly. kit is some vampires. her fangs are a bit too long for her jaw size so she can’t speak easily when they come out.

-vampires have scent glands and scent for things sort of like cats do, with an open jaw. this is part of how they hunt

-their jaws can unhinge like a snake’s. they generally don’t do this anymore but you can bet they will just to screw with people.

-there are stories that are told and stuff (cOUGH vampire king cOUGh) and also a strict set of guidelines put in by the Head Coven (ex no non-consensual feeding, etc)

-now that everyone sorta gets along, there are less covens, but there are still some covens people might come across. the Head Coven is the mini-government for vampires, and it’s made up of the Leader, the Advisor, and the Successor.

-yes, they can have spiked blood. do not recommend. at all.

-fangs come out when a vampire is nervous/intimidated/hungry/aroused. sometimes all at once.

-vampires aren’t generally super strong, but it’s like they’re made of steel. they can fall from very high up and land on their feet and keep on running.

-if they don’t get a certain amount of blood within a week, they get fatigued. anaemia is really common.

-so is haemophilia because it started in a line of vampires and spread through feeding and breeding. in fact, most historians and scientists generally agree that the disease is what caused the branch off from humans. (they’re wrong, the disease came later, but they don’t know that)

Hi! Are all queens and LIWs supernatural beings (and which ones?) or are some of them humans?

So, all but one of them are supernatural beings, and here’s the list:

Catalina: Faerie

Anne: Siren

Jane: Human

Anna: Werewolf

Katherine: Witch who was turned into a vampire

Cathy: Genie

Joan: Basilisk

Maria: Sphynx

Bessie: Succubus

Maggie: Sandman

They’re all humanoid (unless Anna or Maria shift to their animal forms, then they’re werewolf and lion respectively), but they have extra powers and sometimes wings/tails/fangs/ears, save for Jane, who is super bitter about not having cool abilities and stuff. They also all have an alignment towards an elemental energy,

Werewolves do have alpha-beta-omega dynamics, but it’s not sexy. It’s more a familial thing, actually - between siblings, the alpha will look out for the others and the omega will be more nurturing. Same thing happens with packs; alphas and omegas tend to gravitate towards betas. It’s something that’s happened forever and the wolves are used to it.
