I am so excited that my cores getting stronger as is this pose and flow! I am excited to see muscle and fat forming on my body. I weighed in at 109lbs last week. Which is concerning, but i must keep on. Over the summer i had to try on bathing suits...while in the dressing room i was put into shock by my body...my pale, skin and bones body...i began bawling in JCPennys dressing room. My mother open my door and began to cry with me. That was the day i decided to fight! That was the day i realized i want to live! That was the day i literally said "please jessica, please love yourself you have to." yes i begged myself in public to give a damn about my own life. Thats the day i realized i never really had cared about my own life, just others. What good am i to them sick or gone? I wont go down that way. Im a fighter damnit!! ✊👊That day i weighed in at 114 lbs...no muscle. My diet transition caused me to drop the fat i had. I am now on a fruit and nut based diet, minimal greens and seafood. I swear if i hadn't started yoga, gone holistic&organic, or hadnt had #cannabis Id be in the hospital with a feeding tube. The docs told me to give up. To "retire". I'll die quicker if i dont they said. No i dont think i will. Yes i still strugfle with pain beyond belief and seizures here and there. Yes, the Straits of Mackinac, that cherished five (5) mile wide water body that links the crystal clear, clean waters of Lake Michigan with Lake Huron. Worse yet, even though a number of violations of the 1953 contract between the State of Michigan and Enbridge (pipeline owner and operator) have been identified, our un-illustrious leadership in Lansing has thus-far refused to shut it down. I met so many inspiring people today. So many. But this woman, Margaret, is 98 years old and was determined to make the hike from #WMU to the local #martinlutherking park. It was a little chilly so she had to take a break. But within 10 minutes was ready to go again. It made me cry hearing her stories. Tears of hope..tears of shock...tears of frustration. THIS IS A #WOMANTOLOOKUPTO!!! Whom also doesnt agree wit mrs clinton ever being in charge of anything. These are the people i listen to. She inspired me so much. That when #fredupton spoke. I turned my back. Proudly. And was joined by 3 other white women. As he spoke his lies of hope for unity i spoke of his #truth. Helping pass and create bills that are helping to kill our poor communities...#rural and #urban. She hugged me so much. I feel i was some what healed. We stood together as everyone sang "we shall over come". And being her friend means alot to me. I cannot wait to learn more from her and her family. 98 years old and proudly corrected me when i mistakenly said 93. shes spry and full of sass "i have troubles keeping up with her" her son says. Lol stories of Baghdad before our country started ruining it. When she lived there. Stories of #bigoil and how we must #gogreen and #harnesswindenergy. She listened to my research on Monsanto and began to cry when i told her about the march i host in kalamazoo every year against them. "I was around when they first came around and through it all, we need to shut that horrid company down". I dont want to talk about it Debbie....well wait i do....that name...the person...err ugh...deep breaths...lol This sunday join us in a stance for healthcare and for women! Singke white mothers actually make up the majority of those on medicaid in Michigan. I am not a mither but i am on medicaid...never did i think i would be and fought my diagnoses for sometime until finally it was not really an option. After the 15th i am taking som recoup time. Anywho...we knew there would be an attack on a "minority" rather quickly with the #GOP taking hold...they naively have chosen #women to be the first attack. Brainwashing people that #plannedparenthood is an establishmrnt full of baby murderers...when truthfully is a place of safety and recovery. Why take that from us? #Men get help there also. They helped me through my first miscarriage. Not talking about it. They help educate people and gice them options. Abortion is the last thing they want you to have. Seriously go in there and see all the pamphlets about adoption, about help in keeping your child. They give resources there and more often than not change womens minds. They also preach the importance of #safesex if you just cannot abstain. I'd know because i went there from 16-24. I was insured but my father couldnt accept BC as treatment when i was a teen for my ovarian cysts, endometriosis, and pmdd...aka my period and womanly issues. Then i worked low wage jobs in customer service and hospitality until secant technologies where i actually could afford and was offered a decent plan to get help. Then i got sick..well sicker. I tried so hard not to lose my ability to contribute to society through being employed...i even went to school to figure out how to heal myself and others like me. But ultimately my disorders overcame me and i am not aloud to handle a full class load. Which i cannot afford to pay for individual courses atm, especially in a biology major..so i am on medicaid and filed for disability and ssi this past week. Those of you whom know me know how much that hurts me and what i had to accept to do this. I have never judged those on any of this and always stood for them. Now its time to stand with them.
