Finally, my physical model is completed- 'ME YOU US Depot.' Even though it took days and much effort, and its not that perfect- but my hard work was not in vain.

What do you guys think? How is it?

I must do more models for my future projects, too🤔😅. I am glad I didn't give up and trust the process.

Do you guys try to do sketching as the first point of designing?

Sketching my ideas in a pad is easier for me because idea can come in the brain anytime even at the time of sleeping 😅 so I always love to keep a pad with me to sketch it up before getting it forget 🧠. If you haven't tried just try it out.

Yeah Bubbles!

Who hasn't seen this....everyone loves to play with bubbles. I love to play with bubbles made of bath foam when bathing. Being in bubbles gives a feeling of being somewhere away from the actual world for some time. At the same time it gives us a temtation for touching and poping it up. Isn't it?

Maybe that is the reason why I love bathing, lol! Anyway, How can I use this in my design?🤔

MODEL MAKING PROCESS

One of the most exciting and creative part of the design is always model making but sometimes it get difficult. However it helps to develop our creative and problem solving skills.

I have tried to do my physical model cost effectively. The modelling begins with collecting used miniature shipping containers and creating the combination structure as per the design. Then as the part of the background and ambience I decided to create the cliff of Walpole Bay on the foam board using clay ( as clay modelling and molding is my area of interest) It took 2 days to complete the cliff modelling using relief sculpture technique and painting it after drying.

The next step was adding more details to the project as per the design creating boundaries with mesh, adding openings and ice cream space within. Finally, combining everything together appropriately.

The modelling always helps to identify the functionality, making and visual feel and emotion of the proposal.🧑‍🎨

Each colour has its own meaning and it itself defines it all depending upon the way they are used and utilised.

Positive ⚪ Cheerful, Joyous, Happiness, Imagination, Youthfulness, Confidence, Helps to overcome shyness, idealism, Friendship etc.

Negative ⚫ Caution, betrayal, dishonesty, Cowardice, Jealousy, Illness, Hazard, Deceit etc.

The way it is used says its meaning.

🔵 Reposting it, a must-try experience.

An immersive experience that I had in search of playful design through London for my first project in my masters.

📍 Ballie Ballerson - Ballpit Cocktail Bar.

The ball pit was the main attraction of the space. From children to adults, all were in the pit playing, diving, floating in between the balls like having the best moment in their lives. Exactly being like a child. I must mention the immersive lighting setup of the space, OMG! It was mesmerising like we were in between the rainbow. The colour keeps shifting in a wave pattern which was the coolest part. The surrounded walls were covered with mirrors that give the illusion of double the space. Overall this was one of the best immersive experiences I have ever had.

Always being a child was the best time of life. Isn't it?

In my opinion, red is a complicated colour. Did you ever think why?

It has different meanings with different contexts.

Positive ⚪ Love, Passion, Power, Energy, Contrast colour, Attention Seeker

Negative ⚫ Danger, Scary, Fire, Seduction, Violence, Stop

Red is a risky colour to use, so should be very careful while playing with colours. This colour can be confusing us a lot. Isn't it ?

Modelling made with random materials.... Result👆👆👆

It's actually fun and interesting to model with the random materials that you have with you. I used shoe box, blue plastic bags, kitchen scrubs, toilet roll inner cylinder, a piece of mirror ( broken in to small pieces) and some ice cream sticks. And also used led lights just to light up the inner ambience.

As you could see I was trying to make a blue space 💙 which resembles the ambience of being in water and to enhance the effect used mirror for reflection of the top part. I have thought of giving a spongy surface which gives a bouncy effect with kitchen sponge scrubs. I randomly added led lights to it just to light up the space. And that was the outcome.

I loved it ♥️

On the way of exploring the Walpole Bay 🌊

📍 Walpole Bay, Margate

Discovering the serene and tranquil atmosphere of Walpole Bay, with its breathtaking views and picturesque scenery, is truly an inspiring experience that sets it apart from Margate's main beach.

The location I have in mind for my project is between the cliff lift and the stairs leading to the top of the cliff which I feel like an ideal spot. Then there comes a question......

WHY?

Preserving the spirit of leisure and recreation that Margate is known for, Walpole Bay boasts a delightful tidal pool that is frequented by the locals. The location I referred to is situated in close proximity to the pool and can be conveniently accessed via a flight of stairs leading to the top.
