I wrote this poem years ago and yet it still holds relevancy. Not just for my people of color but all BIPOC’s. Most prevalent cases being the chaotic and horrible things happening in the Congo, Sudan, & of course Palestine. Hell, probably more war & atrocities elsewhere than we know.

It’s been 1yr exactly since your passing Dad. 1yr since Glory called you home to paradise. There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t think about you. That I don’t send love your way, and thankfully not a single day I don’t feel that love returned in kind. I love you with all my heart and soul Dad. And with this hymn, your hymn. I honor your spirit and all that comes with the title, “The Man of Steel.”
