Book Review - CogVerse Rating 🌟🌟🌟🌟/5 🍀CogVerse is a set of prose and poems that deals with the inner life of a freshman his experience in the medical field, his relation with his grandparents and it's written by @vivekskant. To sum up the book in short I would say that I finished it in one setting only as I was eager to know what it holds more for the reader and I would say that I'm not at all disappointed by it actually I loved reading it and for me my favourite was CogVerse which actually is a series of 10 poems and it also got featured in the Spittoon Monthly. 🍀About the author - Vivekanand Selvaraj had studied medicine but never practiced as a doctor he writes in both Tamil and English as well and his debut book was in Tamil (Suthanthiram Oru Dabba). And his work in English has also appeared in lots of magazines so if you wanna know more about him you can actually follow his insta @vivekskant. 🍀About the book - As I mentioned earlier the book consists of series of poems in subcategories like CogVerse which has 10 poems in it then it has freedom in box in which i loved Paternal flashbacks and with in which 1. Pride and 2 A man named Rabbit appeared in Poetry at Sangam( Pride) and Sonic Boom. It some what connects us with the reality of human life as well like there is a line in the book which I would love to quote " Time throws dead grandfather at you. Then follows it up with uncles and friends" this is actually the cycle of our life we never know what life is actually bringing for us in the near future, we never know that which might be the the last time we are meeting someone. And how much one person's death can distance us from the rest of the family and how ones death can also change the way we see some places like the author mentioned in "Anjarai petti" that after his grandpa's death his family has been calling the house as their grandma's house. So now we can actually see that how things changes but our life goes on. 🍀Lastly, I would say that the author has done a great job in expressing everyday life and this aren't the poems we have read before which makes it unique in its own way.. 🌟Book Review 📚- My not so Perfect Life 🥀We all try to post pictures in a positive light no matter whatever is going in our life we tend to avoid that and shine the light in all the bright things and katie Brenner is no different than that. Her Instagram feeds are full of pictures of a beautiful life which is the opposite of the life she is having. She moved to London with the idea of “making it” in life. But her life isn't close to perfect. She is working for Cooper Clemmow but her boss Demeter Farlowe doesn’t even know her name.Her flatmates are weird, her commute is long, she has no social life and to add it on she is broke. 🥀Katie “Cat,” thinks Demeter has the best life. Her commute is short, she has the perfect job, the perfect husband, the perfect kids, perfect travels and dining and then there is her relationship with Alex Astalis, Alex, the guy Cat has developed a crush on. 🥀Then, when things couldn’t get any worse, she is fired. Without any income and no prospect for a new job, she’s forced to return to her family’s farm in Somerset. 🥀So many things I liked about My Not so Perfect LIfe. One of them was seeing Katie’s growth. She learns to love herself. She learns to accept who she really is and lets go of the fake parts which she tried to build up for herself. ⭐Book Review - "Remember Me?" 🍀Imagine if you woke up and your entire life had changed. Seemingly for the better. Your teeth are straight and white, your body is toned, your frizzy hair is smooth, your career has taken off, and you're married to a complete hottie - who happens to be a successful millionaire. 🍀It's about Lexi Smart, a woman who has diffidence about herself until she experiences amnesia after a car accident. When she wakes up she finds that she's a through and through different person she thinks it’s 2004 and she’s a twenty- five- year-old with crooked teeth, a disastrous love life and a dead- end job. 🍀The most recent events of her life she can remember are three years in the past. She learns it’s actually 2007 – she’s twenty- eight, she’s the director of her department. She's fit, groomed, has a fabulous apartment, a closet full of designer clothes, and a handsome husband she has never seen before in her life. 🍀She finds herself without the true-blue group of girls she counted on to stand by her during this sensitive time due to her changed attitude. As the story unfolds, she realizes that she does not particularly like the person she's supposed to be, all the same trying to find her footing. As she learns further about her new personality, she realizes her life isn't all that she supposed it would be.This is complicated further when she finds out that her perfect marriage may be a fantasy as well, when a man turns up in her life, claiming to be someone she's been having an affair with. How on earth did all this happen? Will she ever remember? And what will happen when she does? 🍀The story has some humor, but I think it's a big step down from her other books. It was just too sluggishly moving and predictable for me. I kept holding on and holding on for something fascinating and funny to happen, but I ’m disappointed to say nothing ever did.
