Are you a fan of Dune? For some reason I think you'd be interested in how poor Duncan is used and abused in the later books

I'm Dune neutral, I liked the first and only book I read.

I'm, on the other hand, Denis Villeneuve unsure of. I don't get the hype. Enemy was a fun little indie, Prisoners was alright, Blade Runner 2049 I found dull and formulaic in ways the original wasn't, tho visually impressive (but that's Roger Deakins for you), and Arrival is a lazy, lackluster adaptation of a middling short story that had an interesting idea in making a linguistic-based Sapir-Whorf sci-fi but wrapped it in the worst female-character-written-by-a-dude plot trappings, soooooo. (She sees the grim future but chooses to have a family anyway? Really? Would the story play the same with a guy protagonist?) I'd rather rewatch the Lynch movie, thank you. Or have nothing to do with Dune at all. I'm good without Dune.
