my favourite headcanon is that oliver wood hands out reference letters to anyone and everyone except he only ever talks about quidditch like the twins are applying for loan or something and use wood as a character reference and it's just five pages worth of oliver ranting about how hard it is to find a good pair of beaters. harry applying to be the dada prof and confidently handing mcgonagall ten pages of wood's ramblings about harry's flying ability as well as a detailed description of every game harry played.

i refuse to believe that lily and james didn't have extensive wills with detailed instructions for harry's care like they were both incredibly intelligent and knew exactly who was coming for them. not to mention that because they lived in godric's hollow we can assume that they had muggle wills on top of wizard wills. they were also realistic enough to know that something could happen to sirius and they'd need backup plans on top of backup plans. anyways the point i'm trying to make is that dumbledore hid their wills so he could have an abused and easily manipulated harry potter arrive at hogwarts.

harry and hermione have such a wonderful friendship like i would argue that they lean on each other more for emotional support than anyone else, they’ve always been there for each other, they’re protective of one another, and they have this beautiful sibling like bond which i think is so special especially considering they’re both only children and this is exactly why i don’t think harry would’ve named his kid after snape there’s no way he would name a kid after the man who relentlessly bullied hermione and made her cry on multiple occasions
