•POETRY - #10•
Tired yet determined
my thoughts are filled with
Discombobulation
Dreaming
Daring
Doing
Being who I’m meant to be
Want to be
Want to see in the world
In my life
Helpful
Hurtful
Hating
The feelings that rise up
Unbidden
Uninvited
Like the vampire of my conscious
(And subconscious)
Thoughts
Hoping
Hurting
Healing
For today is never tomorrow
And the now is forever
Present

Time slips past
like the ghost
the specter—fleeting
A moment lost to thought
Never able to return to that
singular feeling
Aching and missing
a melancholy felt in the bones
Skin and sinew parting
Struggling to accept
The defeat of Youth

•No Vacancy•
The passage of time
Is odd
An anomaly
Of spacial awareness
And physical comeuppance
I am here
Yet not
Eternally finite
My life
And yours
And will always be
The girl
Who lies awake and hears the sounds
Of distant yells and broken dishes
The teenager
Who smiles because there is no room for more
The adult
Who isn’t really all that grown up
Still that same small child grasping
For comfort
But drawing up short
Time
And
Time
Again

Hello, this is my sideblog that I’m making to put my poetry out into the world. I’m honestly doing this for myself but if anyone finds enjoyment in reading my posts then that’s just an added bonus 😊
