Ah yeah I’m okay!! Sorry to worry you!!! I don’t have the best motivation when it comes to writing so I’m just waitin for a big wave of motivation and/or inspiration to hit so I can write some stuff for yall :)!

Hey there!! I was curious if I could request some angst for Gordon or Benry (either or, your choice! Love both those bois so much;;)? Maybe like... they think their partner got killed in Black Mesa nonsense but they’re fine? Thanks so much!!!

My computer blue screened right when I was adding my finishing touches to this and now I’m just listening to Spiderman screaming to help with the pain.  I wanted to do Benrey too but honestly after the whole blue screening incident, I’ll have to get to try him another time! I have an idea or two for him :)! But for now enjoy this much more watered down version of the forbidden Gordon Angst

Gordon X Reader Angst 

Gordon could not believe his eyes. Standing in front of him was his partner, clad in their now-fucked-up-and-messy uniform, a weapon, and a couple of cuts and bruises littering what he could see. There was no way it was them. They were- they were dead! That’s all Gordon could tell himself as he reached into one of the ““pockets”” in the HEV suit, pulling out an ID tag. 

The ID tag was their’s. He had found it when he went looking for them. After the Cascade, he made a beeline for their work area, Science Team in tow. The area was a bloodbath, both of red and yellow with alien and human bodies littering the place. Despite the amount of bodies, Gordon couldn’t find their’s. All he was able to find was their ID tag, blood and scratches coating the protective layer of plastic. Gordon looked up from the ID and to his supposed partner. 

It really couldn’t be them..... right? They were dead. Gordon had a hard enough time accepting that much but now he’s finding out that they’re alive??? There was no way that they were okay, safe, and alive! But if Gordon really felt like that, then why is he about to call their name and walk over?

Gordon had no more time to contemplate before a loud screech sounded off in his partner’s direction. Turning to them, he saw a headcrab crouched down and quickly reached for his gun. Luckily Gordon was quick on the draw and shot the headcrab as it leapt through the air at his partner, who was shielding the scientist they were helping up. The headcrab’s body passed the two but that went unnoticed by one as two eyes immediately turned to the source of the gunshot, only for the eyes to widen instantly. Gordon watched as their hands left the scientist carefully as they walked over to Gordon. 

Gordon walked over to them as if in a trance as the partners locked eyes together. He- he had to make sure they were real. They had to be real, right? There was no way Gordon just made that whole moment up! ...Right? 

No, there were real. At least they looked oh so real as they finally met each other in the middle. They surely felt real to Gordon as he grabbed them into a hug and squeezed them softly, not wanting to crush them with the HEV suit. It was pretty heavy after all. But that didn’t matter as the two simply embraced each other, both so so happy to see each other again. Gordon was so slammed with a multitude of emotions that he could barely choke out any words past his tears.

The two simply embraced for a few minutes, sobbing together as they rocked slightly. After a little bit, Gordon was able to mumble out some words, mostly just “I love you”s and small things about how glad he was that they were finally okay. He was so overwhelmed but that wouldn’t stop him from enjoying the love of his life’s embrace, even if he couldn’t really feel much through the HEV suit. He needed this and maybe his partner needed it too. Either way, Gordon didn’t want the moment to end, just so happy to have them back with him again.

Benrey x Reader Dating Headcanons -He likes affection :)! -He’s honestly kinda clingy, he just likes to have some form of physical contact with you! -Whether it be holding your hand, sitting close to you that your shoulders bump together, or even just holding you in anyway -However he is a bit hesitant of pda -Will still hold your hands for the most part cause he just can’t help himself  -Just finds comfort having some fort of physical contact with you!! -If you’re doing something he tends to just go and hold you from behind with his chin resting on your shoulder -If you’re gaming he’d def backseat game as he holds onto you -Doesn’t say i love you as much as like Gordon cause he’s an embarrassed nerd but whenever he does say it? you bet he means it 110%!!!! -(Gordon also just loves to say that he loves you tho so kinda hard to beat) -Likes to just spend any time with you! -Getting groceries? going to the park? out on a date? just going on a drive? he loves it as long as he’s with you! -Most of your dates tend to be pretty chill (he doesn’t really like super fancy dates) -If you ever want to have a fancy date he would definitely take you on one tho! -You bet ya’ll have video game days/dates -He’s pretty good at most games but if you beat him at anything he’d def say that he went easy on you (he did not at all) -Lots of teasing between you two (he’d never take it far of course! he wouldn’t wanna hurt your feelings!) -Loves to make you laugh and smile!!  -Sings a lot of Sweet Voice when he’s around you (he can’t help it! you make him feel!!) -The colors tend to be a range of pink and red :)! -He gets even more embarrassed when Tommy tries to translate it to you, thus making even more Sweet Voice happen -He just real easy to fluster (then says something like “wow that was cringe lol”) -He’s just a big nerd that loves you a lot and tries his best to show it!

not really to be honest :( i just kinda write when i get the sudden burst of inspo! i’m usually busy during the day so that ends up with me just writing in the middle of the night tho and then post finished things either when i wake up or the afternoon i want try to get a schedule soon tho! at least after this month cause im attempting to swamp myself with artfight stuff

How do you think everyone writes on the science team (+Benrey and Forzen) do they have neat writing, or do they rush through and smudge everything?

ooooo this one was fun! threw in a darnold too cause i care him :)!

🧡 Gordon 🧡 -got kinda boring and simple writing -nothing too interesting about it tbh, quite lame even -just simple and to the point but thats okay! -his writing tends to be both neat and legible, even with the usual bit of rush  -unless he just writes something down in a heat of a moment kinda thing then hes not even gonna be able to tell what its says later

💙 Benrey 💙 -doesn’t know how to write -his writing is def really super messy -he just doesn’t care -tends to not even finish some words/letters -usually says somethin like “i understand so who cares bout it” -would write in all caps only -he would def write in only sharpies if gordon didn’t ban him from them

💛 Tommy 💛 -writes somewhat big -def dots his lower case i with circles (and maybe even hearts or stars!) -likes to use a lot of punctuation!! (multiple question marks and exclamation points!) -hes always got so much on his mind so his writing tends to be pretty rushed and smudge-y -he can write nice and neat tho when needed! -a doodle or two may also be on the paper if he’s able to 

💚 Coomer 💚 -writes big! -his writing tends to be bubbly and round! -surprisingly (or not!) his writing is pretty neat and lovely! -he doesn’t like smudges :( -he just tends to take his time writing -hates writing in cursive! bubby offers to teach him but coomer refuses

💙 Bubby 💙 -his writing is a little shaky but still somehow neat -tends to write in cursive but sometimes he writes normally -maybe 1 or 2 extra loops in the cursive cause hes extra and he dam well knows it baby! -would def write his words and letters way too close together that one word just looks like a jumbled mess -doesn’t help that he also writes small -only writes in a pen???  -however there’s usually not many smudges, maybe one of two small ink smudges here  -if something doesn’t look write he would just throw out the whole paper and redo it

💚 Forzen 💚 -writes only in cursive. -sometimes he writes too fast and ends up smudging some of it -but like no one can actually tell what its supposed to say when its not smudged anyway so?? (no one beside forzen ofc) -sometimes it just looks like doctor handwriting like wtf forzen -“i sees no problem with it!”

🧡 Darnold 🧡 -very neat writing! -even his fast scribbled writing still look good and legible??? how does he do it?? -def also dots his lower case i with circles like tommy -some of his letters tend to get connected together in a cursive like way -does not write in straight up cursive tho! -even if his paper tend to be smudge-less, theres probably a drink stain somewhere on it

Tommy nervously rung his hands together as he watched you happily play with Sunkist. Your happy laugh and big smile usually would make Tommy’s heart flutter but right now? He felt sad and anxious.

He was worried you liked Sunkist more than him, after all Sunkist is the perfect dog. Tommy wished he could shake the fear and insecurities that plagued his mind but seeing you being so entertained with his dog only made the fears grow. He knew they were stupid thoughts but that sure didn’t stop them.

He wordlessly left the room, his hands gripping his arms tightly as his fingers nervously drummed on his arms. He knew he should just talk about his fears to you but well the thought made his fears double, triple even. 

‘What if they think I’m stupid for thinking this? What if they laugh and leave? What if they only ever said yes was because of Sunkist?’, Tommy thought as he made his way to your shared bedroom, tears brimming his eyes.

You glanced past Sunkist to see Tommy walking away, hands gripping his arms tightly, something you know he mostly does when he's nervous. You watched him walk away, noticing that he was walking slower than usual as well. You knew something was wrong so you got up from the couch, giving Sunkist a pat to tell him to stay, and made your way down the hall assuming Tommy was heading to your shared room.

You stood by the door, hearing a soft patting noise followed by stuttered mumbling that you couldn’t quite make out. Peaking through the crack in the door you saw Tommy pacing around the room, his hands switching from ringing together, combing through his hair, and rubbing his arms. You knew something was wrong, he tended to do this when he was really stressed out or super worried. You gently knocked on the door, not wanting to startle Tommy with just walking into the room unannounced. He jumped slightly and turned to the door quickly, eyes wide as he stared at you.

"Y-yeah?", he stuttered out as his foot started patting against the floor gently.

"Are you okay love?", you ask him sincerely and softly.

"Y-yeah! Of course I'm okay! Couldn't be better!", Tommy quickly and obviously lied.

"What's the matter love? You know I'll never judge you.", you asked, trying to keep your own worrying under control.

"I just- I- well I,,,", Tommy trails off before sighing heavily and sitting down on the edge of the bed, his face now buried in his hands.

You sat yourself beside Tommy and rubbed his back, trying to comfort him as you heard him choking back sobs. The sight alone almost made you start crying but you tried to calm yourself, not wanting to make Tommy worry about you in his own moment of need. Tommy grabbed you into a hug, burying his face into your chest as he clung to the back of your shirt tightly, sobs racking his body. You returned the embrace, your hands running through his soft hair as you whispered comforting things to him in hopes of calming him down slightly. After a few minutes, Tommy' s sobs seemed to have died down to only sniffling and his breathing was evening back out.

"Now, wanna talk about it?", you ask calmly, hands still threading through Tommy's soft hair.

“,,,,Mmhmm.”, Tommy hummed out after a pause of silence before sighing softly and pushing himself away to sit up and look at you. “I uh,, well its kinda of stupid but-”

“Hey, its not stupid if its got you like this Tommy.”, you reassured him as you took his hands in your’s gently.

“Thank you, really.”, Tommy said softly before looking off to the side nervously, “Well I just,, I’m just worried that you may,, you may like Sunkist more than-than me. I couldn’t stop myself from thinking that m-maybe you’re only dating me cause of Sunkist, he is the perfect dog after all,,,”

You took a second to really process what Tommy had said. You snapped out of your confusion as you felt his hands tremble in yours.You gave his hands a slight squeeze as everything seems to click together.

“Tommy I love you so much.”, You stated before gently taking hold of his face and pushing it over so he’d face you directly. “No dog or person could ever top the amount of love I have for you! I promise you that I’m dating you for you, not for Sunkist.”

“Thank you (Name), I love you so much and I’m so sorry for doubting you.”, he said, tears brimming his eyes again.

“It’s alright Tommy I promise.”, you reassured him again before giving him a soft kiss on the lips. “I love you.”

Tommy smiled big and bright as he swooped you up into a bone crushing hug, relieved and happy again. He loved you so much and he was so glad you still felt the same.
