So a little bit about diagnosed anxiety and depression. They play hide and seek with the good things in your life and you are always "it". They tend to hide them and you have to find them again. You're always depressed over something that didn't go right or may have gone right but could have gone better. Overthinking choices in your past that you can't change now. Guilt over not getting all of your "to do" done or whatever. That's depression.

Or with anxiety, you're worrying about things and haven't even happened yet and might not ever happen, and fixated on that to the point of being paralyzed by it. Your anxiety gets worse over all the things that depression threw your way.

Today was a bad mental day for me, You might notice that I didn't say a "bad day", I added the word mental in there because I have learned to distinguish between when I'm actually having a bad day and when my brain just wants me to think that life sucks.

Now knowing the difference doesn't really help my brain find those good things, but I keep a little notebook that a co-worker gave me and everyday I write in it what I am thankful for. The tiniest things and the biggest things that are good, that make me smile, all of my glimmers and gratitude.

It's like a map to help me find those good things again.

Why am I writing this? Just maybe someone out there will see it and it might help them. Knowing that you're not the only person out there whose brain is, their worst enemy can be a huge help.

I hope all of you can find your gratitude and your glimmers whenever you need to. ❤️

Hello! I hope this is not a weird question (if so please ignore this), but I was wondering if you know if there is a list of books that were born as Supernatural fanfiction and were later reworked for publication? (Provided the authors are ok with it being known of course). I ask because I read Running on Empty after seeing it mentioned by you and LOVED it so very much, and it made me curious about how many novels with a similar origin are out there. Thank you, in any case!!

Those are all originally Destiel, except for the last one which I think might have been J2 RPF... I never read the fic, but the book is great!

There's a bunch more by AJ Lange, but I don't remember reading them as fic, so I'm not sure if they're fic or original. They're such a good writer tho, everyone should check them out. Past Present and Small Town Charmer are FAVORITES of mine. (Back when I was a new writer, someone once accused me of ripping her off because I used the common USA lingo "Houston, we have a problem" and I had a "He's a little bit gay" running joke in my fic Kiss the Baker, and I'm like wow that is actually the highest compliment ever, thank you 😄)
