Oooh, this seems like a really fun characterization exercise. I'll use the same line then:

"You did what now?"

Elanoriel: "I- why in the gods' names would you do that?" After some explaining, "... All right, what do you need me to do?"

Nicholas: "I'm sorry- did I hear that right? You did what?" [pause] "Are you stupid?"

Dianne: She doesn't really say anything except, "What?" in a tired and condescending tone. She's fed up with people.

Draycen: "As long as there were no city guards around to see it, I'll pretend I didn't hear it and it won't be my problem."
