Rest in Peace Nex Benedict...

Nex Benedict was a 16 year old nonbinary student attending Owasso High School in Owasso, Oklahoma. On November 7, 2024, they were going to the women's restroom in their school because a bill had been passed in their state saying that you should only be going to the bathroom that aligns with your AGAB. Two girls, who went into the bathroom after Nex were harassing them, so in response, they flicked water on them, which caused the girls to beat them up until they lost consciousness and the girls continued to slam their head into the ground long after they had lost consciousness. Once teachers were alarmed, instead of taking them to the hospital, Nex was taken to the nurses office, where the nurse had told them that they would be fine, and to walk it off. After that they were called into the principal's office, where they were suspended for 2 weeks. They passed away of "natural causes" just a couple of days later, even though it's pretty damn obvious they suffered undiagnosed and severe head trauma. Let's get one thing clear about this bullshit. They didn't die of natural causes, and they didn't deserve to die the way they did. They. Were. Murdered. They lived in a place that was unsafe for the LGBT+ community and the principal, instead of trying to talk about the literal child that died in his school, only cared about being right like right wing conservatives always do. We need justice for this child, as they were just trying to live comfortably and authentically as themselves, and these girls, who have been taught nothing but violence towards those who are different from them, took away the life of a kid who didn't deserve such cruelty. Please spread the word to those who don't know about this and are willing to fight for trans rights and are willing to fight for justice for Nex Benedict.

The execution of Nex Benedict by classmates in their school bathroom is an example in the long line of transphobic violence in this country, and is emblematic of a genocidal movement to eradicate transgender and non binary people from America. This violence was excused by school faculty, including the callous refusal to allow Benedict's injury to be treated properly in a hospital. This was following a bill requiring trans and nonbinary students to use the bathroom associated with the gender they were assigned at birth. Despite using the bathroom associated with the gender assigned to Benedict at birth, they were still murdered by transphobic classmates, punished by school authorities for being assaulted, and refused access to adequate healthcare after the event. This is unacceptable, and the sytem that produced this and many more tragic incidents like this must be resisted strenuously by all trans and nonbinary folks, as well as anyone who considers themselves supporters of queer, trans, and nonbinary liberation.

Isreal could end the war immediately if it traded cease fire and Palestinian sovereignty in exchange for the leaders of Hamas. Israel, however, will never agree to this. Israel needs Hamas; Israel needs Hamas to justify ethnic cleansing in Palestine in order to replace the native population with Israeli settlers. Israel funded Hamas to take the wind out of the PLO. The Congolese struggle is vital to the global revolutionary movement and the masses in the Congo should be supported vigorously by any means available. We should never break solidarity with Congolese workers and slaves and all other exploited classes. All efforts to imperialize the Congo or continue the genocide there must be emphatically opposed. Any organization that stands for the rights of the marginalized, the workers, and human rights needs to stand in solidarity with the Congolese masses, and the ongoing attempt to wipe out this people and plunder their resources must be struggled against with all available power the workers of the world have. Palestine has a right to exist, and a right to defend itself. if you don't believe Palestinians have been called Palestinians and lived in the land from the river to the sea that is and was called Palestine for thousands of years, you are completely detached from reality and history. i don't care what promises you think God made, people live there, and have done so for a long time. God is just, and would never ask for what Israel is doing to be done. i fear for the Christians who support Israel, because, if Jesus does come back, he will not take kindly to you.

knowing isn't half the battle; even if you know you're propagandized to, propaganda can still work. my whole page, including this post, is propaganda, and im honest about that, but im still hoping its convincing, and i doubt it will fall on completely deaf ears, especially on Tumblr, which is pretty progressive. however, knowing isn't nothing, it's more like, 25% of the battle. you have to learn how to spot misinformation, and know how to trust people who will call you out, to help fill more holes in the bucket, so it can keep more good information, and sort out the bad shit. most misinformation is bigoted in some way so uncovering and challenging your internalized bigoted ideas will help you sort the good from the bad. thank you for reading, i love you, and solidarity forever! 😊💝 (not my meme, im sorry i dont know who is the OP)
