how i see caleo
idk if its just me but i always see people saying calypso is like 500 million however old she is and yeah she is but tbh i don't think of her being that old mentally i think of her being 15 mentally bc she was literally stuck in time on her island like it was literally just her she has nothing outside of her island to expand her thoughts other than just being stuck in that 15 yr old mindset? tbh when people say like she's older than emmie yeah she is but i feel like emmie is obv more mature than her bc she's had exposure to the world and people outside and she wasn't stuck on an island LMAO but yeah i feel like shes 15 and is just starting to age

roses are red, violets are blue, it may be the whole world against us, but i'll never stop loving you. (caleo miraculous au & personality swap)
this is another old fic i wrote! basically its a miraculous caleo au but leo is ladybug (in the fic he's called lordbug) and calypso is cat noir (in the fic she's called chat noir). also, instead of calypso being the serious one with more sense leo is and calypso is the flirty one who likes to play around. and they're in college! anyways i really enjoyed writing this, so i hope you enjoy it too!
"Let it go, Gossip Girl." Lordbug sighed.
The green girl crossed her arms and shook her head stubbornly. "No!" Her green curls bounced back and forth, making the flowers in her hair flow from her head. "I won't stop until I get you and Chat Noir's miraculouses!"
Lordbug rolled his eyes. He'd been going back and forth with Gossip Girl for the past half-hour, after she got akumatized by Hawkmoth soon after she'd found out one of her classmates had told the entire school she was in charge of the mass of trash in the school garden. A total lie of course, but it was enough to get poor Juniper riled up and taken over by Hawkmoth.
And speaking of Chat Noir... she was later than usual. Well, she was almost always late or early, never on time, but this situation was becoming too much for Lordbug. Usually Chat Noir would talk her way out of their situation, distracting the akuma victim (and Lordbug most of the time, too).
Lordbug rolled his eyes at that thought. "Where are you, Chat Noir?" He mumbled.
"Looking for me?" Lordbug flipped around, finding Chat Noir laid on the wall of the rooftop, head on her hands, tail swaying in the air, legs swinging back and forth. She had one of the roses from Gossip Girl's hair in her right hand. "Care for a rose, bugaboo?"
"I don't have time for flowers, Chat Noir!" Lordbug groaned, making Chat Noir do her usual pout. "Gossip Girl's been going all over the city telling lies about everyone. We have to put a stop to this."
"Is one of the lies 'Lordbug's madly in love with Chat Noir?'"
Lordbug's eyebrows furrowed. "No?"
Chat Noir sighed. "I guess we'll have to do something then, won't we?"
"Of course. She's right over-" Lordbug swirled around, only to find Gossip Girl gone. "Ugh, Chat Noir! We have to find her."
Chat Noir sprang up and took out her pole. "Ready to soar, my lord?"
Lordbug swung his yo-yo around. "Ready when you are." They leaped out and swung through the rooftoops, flying over concerned citizens. Finally, they swung by a school and stopped when Chat Noir spotted Gossip Girl.
Lordbug was about to swing away, but Chat Noir put her pole out and nudgd him over to where she was perched on the roof. "She's over there, genius."
Lordbug clumsily stepped onto the ledge Chat Noir was on, having to grab onto her so he wouldn't fall. He did his best to ignore the blush that ran to her cheeks when their bodies pressed together. "Genius?"
"Would you perfer sweetheart?" She purred.
"Focus on the task, kitty."
She huffed and followed his gaze to Gossip Girl. "What's the plan?"
"We're about to find out." Lordbug tossed his yo-yo in the air, yelling: "Lucky charm!"
Something long and heavy came down into his arms, nearly knocking Lordbug over. Chat Noir quickly backed away, then cocked her head to the side. "A shovel? What are we gonna do, clean up that awful mess in the school garden?"
"I hope not. It doesn't seem like much fun."
Chat Noir's nose scrunched up beneath her mask. "It doesn't matter if it's fun. What matters is whether or not that mess gets cleaned up. The environment is important, y'know." She poked his chest. "Just as important as pretty boys in bug suits."
Lordbug looked away, rubbing where she'd poked him. "Thanks."
She smiled cheerily. "Don't mention it."
Lordbug's eyes darted around their environment, finding each object he would use for his plan. The railing down the steps leading up to the school, the trash can in front of it, the gate leading to the school garden. "I have a plan. Chat Noir, go distract Gossip Girl."
"With my charming personality?"
"No, with your blabbering mouth."
Chat Noir pouted, but swung down to the steps of the school. "Hey, Gossip Girl!"
Gossip Girl spun around, more roses flying from her hair. "You."
"Yes, yes, it's me." She nodded to her hair. "Those are some pretty flowers you have there."
Gossip Girl patted her hair. "They're from my own garden."
"Are they? Very beautiful."
"I'm aware!"
"I'm sure you are! Say,-"
Lordbug crept across the roof, throwing up his yo-yo and flying towards the railing on the front steps.
"Hey!" Gossip Girl cried, watching Lordbug slide down the railing. She pointed an accusatory finger at Chat Noir. "You were distracting me!"
"Was I?" Chat Noir asked innocently.
Lordbug slid down the railing, directly into-
"NO LITTERING!" Gossip Girl yelled at Lordbug, watching trash from the trash can roll across the ground.
"There's more where that came from!" Lordbug yelled, turning and running through the gate leading to the school garden.
Chat Noir appeared next to him not long after he ran through the gate. She didn't look happy. "I just love it when superheroes litter."
"Oh come on, kitty-"
"Don't kitty me." She poked a finger at his chest again, this time with more aggression. "You can't just leave all that trash on the ground. You're supposed to be doing good, aren't you?"
"When I capture the akuma, I can turn everything back, don't worry. Speaking of akuma-"
"Changing the subject." She muttered.
"Do you have any idea where it may be?"
Chat Noir scanned Gossip Girl, still obviously upset. "Maybe the roses?"
"The ones that keep falling off her head?"
"Actually, I'm pretty sure there's one I haven't seen move at all. It could be in there."
"We'll try." Lordbug sniffed. "Is that smell you?" Chat Noir hit him with her pole. "Ow!"
"I was thinking it was you, but I was kind enough not to say anything! No, it's not me! I smell nice at all times." She stuck out her wrist. "Smell." Lordbug glanced at her wrist, and knelt down wearily. "I'm not going to tug at your ears."
He took a sniff at her wrist. His eyebrows perked up, recognizing the scent. The same scent he could stand to smell all day. "Calypso?"
Chat Noir snatched her hand away, face as red as Lordbug's mask. "W-what?"
Lordbug stood up straight again, confused by Chat Noir's changed demeanor. "The fragrance. Calypso."
Chat Noir closed her eyes and sighed. "Yes. Yes, that's what I'm wearing."
"Smells amazing."
Calypso opened her eyes and grinned. Not her usual smirk but a genuine, enchanting smile. It was comforting to Lordbug. Most likely because they were friends, not something more. "Thank you."
"Awwww!" A high voice cooed behind them. Lordbug and Chat Noir flipped around. Gossip Girl stood, rocking back and forth on her feet. "I'll be sure to tell the entire town about this!"
Chat Noir scoffed. "Is that smell you?"
"Rude!" Gossip Girl gasped. "That's the trash someone left out here! Someone who wasn't  me. The nerve!"
Lordbug spun the shovel around in his hand. "We better start cleaning up, shouldn't we?" He dashed across the garden, and in one clean swoop hauled trash in Gossip Girl's direction.
Chat Noir and Gossip Girl simultaneously gasped. "What is wrong with you?" Chat Noir hissed.
"Help!" Lordbug said, motioning to Gossip Girl. Chat Noir instead backed away, watching Lordbug throw trash in Gossip Girl's path every step she took.
"This isn't a good idea, y'know." Chat Noir pointed out, scanning Gossip Girl's hair.
"It's the best one I have."
"You should've thought of a better one."
Lordbug didn't have time to turn and argue with Chat Noir, so he hauled the last of the trash, completing the circle around Chat Noir. "Do you know where her-"
Chat Noir used her pole to swing over the mound of trash and picked a rose from Gossip Girl's hair in one swift movement. She ripped in it half, letting the butterfly fly through the air.
"Time to de-evilize!" Lordbug cried, throwing the yo-yo in the air and finishing off the job. A few exclamations later, a red mist flew through the town, and everything was back to normal.
Juniper sat in the middle of the now trash-free garden, blinking rapidly. "What happened?"
"Hawkmoth happened." Chat Noir sighed. Lordbug held out his hand and Juniper took it, getting off the ground.
"Is my sc-"
"Your school is fine." Lordbug assured her. "In fact, I bet no one thinks you're in charge of the incident here in the school garden anymore."
Juniper's face flushed. Chat Noir just rolled her eyes and mumbled: "Yes, and I'm sure everyone thinks it's their beloved local superheroes doing instead."
Lordbug glared at Chat Noir, then turned and smiled at Juniper. "We have to go now. Stay safe!"
He and Chat Noir left with a wave, taking off to the roof tops. They stopped on the rooftop of a plant shop, which had a clear view of the sunset.
"What was that all about?" Lordbug asked when their feet met the roof.
Chat Noir didn't turn to look at him, her eyes fixed on the sunset. "Should I be glad we're throwing trash around?"
"It was for the plan. Things were going to be cleaned up afterwards."
"I was still uncomfortable doing it."
"It was me doing it, not you! You just stood back and tried to distract me."
She whirled around to face Lordbug. "Is that supposed to make me feel any better?"
Lordbug threw his hands up. "I'm just pointing out the obvious!" He sighed in defeat. "Look, I'm sorry. If I was the one who controlled what my lucky charm did, I wouldn't choose to throw trash all around."
"I'd certainly hope not."
"Can you take me seriously?"
Chat Noir snorted. "Okay, okay."
"I promise you I don't go littering about France."
"I hope you don't! Men who respect the environment are much more attractive." She winked. "Don't you agree, bugaboo?"
Lordbug rolled his eyes. "So much for taking me seriously."
Chat Noir gasped and put a hand to her heart as if she was offended. "I take you very seriously!"
"And flirting on the job is taking me seriously?"
"Flirting counts as serious business."
"Sure. And speaking of business, try to be more professional." Chat Noir raised an eyebrow. "Flirting and opinions included."
Chat Noir's nose wrinkled. "Is this about me not helping you throw trash around?"
"Yes, and starting arguments that are distracting."
Chat Noir stood up straighter in the way it did when she was offended. Lordbug braced himself for what was to come. "So you were never really sorry? You just wanted to get me to shutup?"
"That's not what I-"
"Yeah, okay." Chat Noir's ring flashed. "That means I have to go." She turned and started off the roof.
"Wait-" Lordbug grabbed Chat Noir's hand. She turned around and glanced at their hands, then up at Lordbug's face, clearly unimpressed. "You know that's not what I meant, right?"
Chat Noir snatched her hand away. "Goodbye, Lordbug." And then she was off the roof.
----------
Calypso's head spun, still thinking about the events of the previous day. One moment, she was grinning from a compliment Lordbug gave her. Minutes after she was snatching her hand away from his and storming away. What went wrong? Usually he was so charming. Well, he is so charming. She thought giddily. Why did he feel the need to add onto his so called 'apology'? Maybe he was right. Maybe pride was getting the best of her, as if to often did. Or maybe he was just being an asshole.
But how long could she stay mad at him? Especially with his enchanting hair and strong arms, and the way his eyes gazed into her's as his hand held her's ever so gently-
"Are you alright, Ms. Nightshade?" Calypso snapped from her thoughts, turning to her escort, Hermes.
"Huh?"
"You're smiling quite a lot." Calypso immediately closed her mouth, stopping the smile that had spread across her lips.
"Yes. Just... thinking."
She was upset with Lordbug, she was sure of it. Not mad, just upset. Maybe that would get her point across.
Just as quickly as she had the thought, someone crashed into her. Papers went flying all around floating in circles around she, the person the collided with, and Hermes. Ad the papers settled, the person came into view. Leo Valdez stood before her, eyes wide and hands empty. Hermes growled and stepped in front of her.
"Hermes, it's fine. I'm sure Leo meant to harm." She stepped in front of him and smiled at Leo. "Sorry about all this."
"No really, I'm sorry." He apologized, glancing nervously at Calypso and Hermes.
"It's fine! I wasn't looking where I was going and-"
"Me either! And I crashed into, and my papers are on the floor so-" Calypso knelt down to start picking up the papers. "It's proof it's my fault." He murmured out quickly, kneeling down to help Calypso. "You don't have to do that, really."
"Are these your's?" She held up a sketch- the Eiffel Tower, but instead of it standing bare, it had Christmas decorations scattered upon it.
"Uh, yeah."
"They're amazing! And, well, suprisingly accurate." She looked at the other sketches: some of real monuments, some of different machines and buildings.
Hermes cleared his throat beside her. "You have class soon."
"CALYPSO!" A voice called. Calypso turned and found her best friend, Hazel Levesque, coming towards her. "Have you heard?"
"Heard what?" Calypso asked, then slapped her hand to her mouth. "Hazel, manners!" She gestured to Leo, who was now standing. "This is Leo Valdez! He takes classes at the same college as us."
"Nice to meet you, Leo!" Hazel beamed.
"Nice to meet you too." He said.
Hazel's eyes darted between Leo and Calypso. "So, have you heard?"
Calypso's head tilted to the side. "Heard what?"
"Lordbug and Chat Noir were caught kissing in the back of a school garden!"
"WHAT?" Calypso and Leo shrieked at once, earning squeals from Hazel. Leo looked horrified. Calypso was smiling almost as much as Hazel.
"Isn't it awsome? Oh, this is some great gossip! Perfect for the Lordblog!" Hazel pulled out her phone, certainly already sharing the news.
"Are you sure?" Leo sputtered. "It's been confirmed?"
"Not really." Hazel shrugged, not looking up from her phone. "Someone saw them and word got out."
"Yes, but... are you sure he really- I mean, they kissed?"
Hazel peeked up from her screen. "Do you have some crush on Chat Noir, or something?"
Calypso glanced over to him, too. "No!" Leo said quickly. "I just wouldn't want some stupid rumor to ruin their reputation, y'know?"
Calypso scrunched up her nose. "How would that ruin their reputation?"
"Well, I mean, if someone caught them kissing on the job people could possibly take them less seriously. They coukd think they're just a pair of lovebirds with the fate of a city in their hands, y'know?"
Calypso resisted the urge to go on off him like she did Lordbug. "No."
Leo winced. "Nevermind."
Hazel shut off her phone and snatched Calypso's hand. "We have to get going now. It was nice meeting you, Leo!"
Calypso waved awkwardly to Leo as she was dragged off by Hazel, not noticing Leo's hanging jaw.
-------------
Lordbug was leaned against the railing of the rooftop, tapping his fingers on metal. He'd invited Chat Noir to meet with him- how long ago was it, an hour? He'd been desperately hoping she'd come, especially after the Calypso run-in....
Lordbug ran his hand over his face. His mind had been scrambled all over ever since Chat Noir snapped at him, which resulted in him running into his crush. It didn't help that after their conversation Calypso seemed upset with him, too. Now he had two important ladies who he wasn't sure if he was on their good side or not, one of their's opinion's most likely more important than the other.
Well, was Chat Noir's opinion on her partner in crime more important than Calypso's opinion on her unknown admirer's? Lordbug scolded himself. This way of thinking is what made Chat Noir mad at him in the first place. And he hated when she was mad at him. The scowl on her lips, her tilted brows, her guarded composure, the way she subconsciously tried to make herself taller than him (which, even with her heels, wasn't doing much considering the fact he was a good amount taller than her).
That's what the reason for this meetup was- Lordbug had spent the entire day thinking about Chat Noir, more than he spent thinking about Calypso. It was unerving to him, thinking about someone he couldn't possibly be in love with that much. There was no denying Chat Noir meant a lot to him. Enough to do what he'd done for her.
Lordbug heard a swoop through the air and turned around. "I was hoping you'd come." Lordbug sighed when Chat Noir swung onto the roof.
"Well, it wouldn't be very professional it I didn't, would it?" She said, not looking up at him.
Lordbug grimaced, but hooked a finger under Chat Noir's chin anyways. "If you would come with me, you could see that at the moment I don't care much for professionalism." Chat Noir's eyes went to the city behind Lordbug. "It's not that easy to spot, kitty. Can I cover your eyes?"
"Can I trust you?"
"Can you?"
Chat Noir rolled her eyes, but shut them. She felt Lordbug's hands go over her eyelids, and then his hand on her shoulder, heading her to the other side of the rooftop. "If I fall, I'm blaming you."
She heard Lordbug laugh gently. "As you rightfully should." He and Chat Noir stopped. "Now, open your eyes."
Chat Noir's eyes fluttered open. She followed to where Lordbug's arm was pointing, and her eyes went wide. At the back of the school garden, there were now even more plants than before. Flowers of all kinds sprouted from bushes, and trees outlined the fence.
She flipped around to Lordbug. He quickly backed away and cleared his throat. "So?"
"You did that?"
He shrugged. "I had a little help from Juniper."
"W-"
Lordbug said his words slowly, careful not to slip the fact Chat Noir had been on his mind since the previous day. "You seemed pretty upset because of the whole trash thing and I felt pretty bad about doing it so I decided I should.... well, pay my debts in a way?"
That familiar smirk grew on Chat Noir's lips. "So you did it to make me feel better? Is the thought of me being mad at you unbearable?"
Yes. He thought, quickly pushing the thought away. "Did you not listen to my second reason?"
"I paid attention to the most important parts." She took a step closer to Lordbug. "I appreciate it."
"I'm sure the town does, too."
They stood staring at each other, Chat Noir grinning madly and Lordbug looking concerned into Chat Noir's shining, expectant eyes.
"Is that all?" Chat Noir asked, watching Lordbug swing his yo-yo around.
"Actually it is, considering I have some things to take care of."
Chat Noir's heart dropped. "Oh." She said, biting her lip.
And then like a flash, she felt a pair of lips on her cheek, swift and quick, and a hand press something into her's. Their fingers collided and then they were gone, along with the touch on her cheek.
Lordbug pulled away and grinned, oblivious to her lost smile. "But for the record," Lordbug's voice deepened in a way that made it hard for Calypso to keep herself composed. "I really can't stand to see you upset." He threw his yo-yo, and soared through the rooftops.
Chat Noir pressed her free hand to her cheek, burning madly, and then looked down at the one that touched Lordbug's. In it, sat a red rose.

how did i stay away from you for so long? (caleo uni au)
this is a fic i wrote around a year ago that im posting here! i also have fics on my ao3! enjoy <3
Calypso grabbed her bag and got out out of her car. She hurried through campus, determined not to be late on the first day of her third year of college. The last one was rough. Family trouble, drama within friend groups, mental health, breakups- she was lucky she even made it through the year. She pulled out her phone to check the time. 3 minutes till class began.
"Shit."
------------
Calypso plopped in her seat and let out a breath she'd been holding in. She arrived just in time- her professor was starting the lecture. She sat around for most of the lecture, partially listening and partially not. Towards the end, she finally began to start paying attention to the words being said to her.
"-A project for the beginning of the year." Calypso's head snapped up. She glanced around the room, seeing everyone's bored faces. A notification came up on her phone, and Calypso immediately went to see who it was.
Did you hear that?
Oh, Katie. She texted again.
What are you so annoyed for Cal? 😏
Calypso rolled her eyes and turned her head to Katie, who was giggling in her seat.
Calypso would be lying if she said every time someone texted her she hurried to see if it was her ex-boyfriend. Sure, she broke up with him months ago. But what if he randomly reached out to her? What if he felt some kind of remorse? What if he wanted to apologize?
"You'll be in pairs of two." Her professor explained. "Pairs that I have chosen." He took out a paper and started going through names. Calypso bit her lip. Her ex was in this class. What if- no. It'd be a truly unfortunate coincidence if she got paired with her ex-boyfriend for this project. She had nothing to worry about. She grabbed her water and took a sip. "Billie Ng and Katie Gardner. Jake Mason and Kayla Knowles. Calypso Nightshade and Leo Valdez."
Calypso choked on her water. She started coughing and trying for air, while the guy sitting next to her awkwardly patted her back. When she could finally breathe, she blushed and apoligzed. "Sorry."
Leo Valdez? As in her ex Leo Valdez?
Uh uh. No way. She couldn't work on a project- let alone work alone with him. Not with the way they left things off.
The professor called the last of the names and looked up from the paper. "Your assignment is to go over the lives 4 well known woodworkers. You have 3 weeks to do so. Good luck!" All of the students began getting up to find their partners. Calypso stayed in her seat, still in shock. She glanced up at her professor who was looking at the students around the room and sighed.
"Hey."
Calypso turned around and immediately tried her best to hide her shock. Standing before her was her ex-boyfriend, Leo Valdez.
She and Leo had an interesting history.
They met at the beach late at night. Calypso's car had broken down and Leo offered to fix it. After a few hours of talking, they exchanged numbers. Their first months of dating were magical. But as the relationship went on, and their lives went on, different things happened that effected both aspects of their lives. Leo's two best friends split up, making things awkward for him. He moved away from family once again, so he started to miss them. Along with that, old memories kept haunting him.
Calypso's father was the same man, cranky and rude. Her sister ran away, her parents got divorced, and she was taking more courses in college. They were both stressed. And they both didn't exactly handle that stress in the best way.
Leo handled it by making jokes and distracting himself. Calypso focused on what she was stressing over far too much, and let herself let everything out instead. They couldn't comfort each other in the best ways because they were too busy trying to comfort themselves.
Calypso broke up with Leo.
"We're not making each other happy, Leo." She explained, watching Leo stare at his hands. "We don't listen to each other, and neither one of us are in good places mentally right now."
"But it's me, too?" Leo suddenly looked up. "You're upset with me."
"We're upset with each other."
"So you're upset with me?"
Calypso inhaled. "Leo, I don't think our coping mechanisms match. And that's fine. I just don't appreciate you joking around when I complain about something."
"I was trying to cheer you up."
"It didn't work."
"I don't like when you cry." He countered. "I don't like seeing you upset. And crying stresses me out, too."
"If you don't like seeing me upset then you would leave me be. We're only ruining each other."
Leo looked down again. "Right." He stood up and went to the door.
"Leo-"
"I get it, Calypso. Bye."
Calypso watched him walk out the door and immediately broke down.
It took Calypso a while to get over the breakup. She missed a lot of things about Leo. His smile, his laugh, his hugs, their weekly dates, their unproductive study sessions. Even his jokes, despite some of them being at the wrong time. She missed him.
She finally got over him when summer came around and she could finally get away from him. They hadn't spoken since they'd broken up. And now here they were. Partners on a project.
Calypso blinked a few times before responding. "Hi."
"Do you wanna, uh, decide how we can work on this?"
Calypso glanced at his hands. They were messing with the strap of his backpack- a clear sign he was uncomfortable. "Uh, sure. I'm free Friday if you-"
"Yeah, Friday's good. Do you wanna meet at my apartment?"
"Your apartment?" Calypso repeated. "Uh... sure?"
"Okay, cool. 6 pm." He turned and walked away quickly. Calypso immediately smacked her hand to her face.
"Why did I agree to that?" She groaned, taking herself out the room.
-----------------
Calypso played with the end of her hair, debating whether or not she should knock on the door. She didn't know why she was so worried. She'd actually put thought into how she looked today. The outfit was effortless- a white spaghetti strap tank top tucked into some boyfriend jeans and a pair of white sneakers. She even put thought into her makeup. But Leo had seen her countless times before without makeup on, and it didn't make any difference in how he saw her. So why did she care so much about how he viewed her today? Why had she looked over herself 20 times in the mirror before leaving the house? All the things she didn't need to worry about while dating Leo were now at the front of her mind. But why? She'd been here countless times before. But this time was different. This time, she wasn't going over as Leo's girlfriend, but as his project partner. That might've been even more of a downgrade than an ex-girlfriend.
Calypso ran out of time to think. The door opened, revealing a very distracted Leo.
"O-oh." He stuttered when he made eye contact with Calypso. "Have you been waiting here?"
"No!" She lied. "I just got here, actually." Leo glanced at his hand that was holding a full trash bag.
"You can come in." He stood to the side and Calypso walked in. "I'm just gonna go take this trash out. You, uh, know your way around." Leo walked out and closed the door, leaving Calypso to his apartment she knew too well.
As usual, Leo's apartment was steaming hot. It was (a tiny) part of the reason why she dressed how she did today.
It was clear he tried to somewhat clean up. His couch was tidy, and most things were put away neatly, except for a few controllers on the coffee table that were clearly from a previous visit. She walked into his kitchen, and things were the same. She finally made it to his bedroom, where it looked how it did every time she'd been here before.
Calypso had so many memories in this room- so many memories that she know had to throw away.
His TV was where she and Leo had had movie marathons for days, giving her a good excuse to stay over for so long. His work table was where Calypso had learned to properly use a hammer- this time without hurting herself. And of course his actual bed, where they had too many food fights to count, good naps, and some other things Calypso wouldn't mention in spite of her "innocence".
Calypso walked over to the corner of the room where a wooden bookshelf stood. It was made by Leo because Calypso always read books when she came over. Why hadn't he gotten rid of it? Well, it's a nice bookshelf. Calypso thought. I wouldn't get rid of it either.
"Hey." Calypso turned to the voice and saw Leo standing in the doorway.
"Uh, hi." She stuttered against her will. "Are you- do you, um-" Leo shrugged and plopped on his bed with his laptop. Calypso didn't move, not because she didn't want things to be even more awkward, but because of a thought lingering in her mind. "Did you wash your hands?"
Leo looked up from his laptop. "I wore gloves."
Calypso raised her eyebrow. "I didn't see you wearing any."
"I guess your eyes didn't catch it then."
"My eyes?" Leo let out a loud sigh. "Don't even."
"The only contact I made was with the handle of the trash bag." He groaned. "I barely touched anything else!" He went back to whatever he was doing on his laptop. "But I wore gloves."
Calypso's nose wrinkled. Had he worn gloves? She usually made him wash his hands and wear gloves back when they dated. Had he thrown away that habit that quickly? What other things did he get rid of- or worse, forget.
Maybe her eyes hadn't caught it. Leo spent all this time cleaning his apartment. Why would he not wear gloves? To purposely evoke her?
"Maybe I didn't see." Calypso mumbled, looking down at her hands.
Leo looked up. "What?"
"Maybe you wore gloves." She looked up at Leo's face. He was successfully holding back a smile, but she could still tell he found it funny. The creasing around his eyes, the way his hands were distracted. "Sorry. I didn't mean to start something the second I got here."
"That's fine." Leo shrugged. "I have some people I think we should research... if you-" He didn't finish his sentence, instead motioning to his laptop.
"Oh!" Calypso walked over and sat next to him on the bed, squinting at the names on the screen.
"I figured we could each do 2. Unless you wanna do it another way."
"That's okay. Who do you wanna do?" Calypso looked up from the laptop, finding Leo already staring at her.
"Hm?" He asked, blinking and focusing on her eyes.
Calypso's brow furrowed, but she chose to ignore it. "Which two people do you wanna do?"
"Uh...Ole Kirk Christiansen and- wait, who do you wanna do?"
"I don't really care who I get."
"Okay.... so him and Ronnie Biggs."
"Great." Calypso opened her own laptop and started working. Leo didn't start till a few moments after.
They worked in mostly silence for a while. The sounds of their fingers tapping keys filled the air, along with the sound of Leo tapping his pen. The pen's tapping was a noise Calypso would've been thrown off by around a year ago, but she'd become so used to it while they were dating she hadn't even realized it until she really listened.
Leo popped up from where he was sitting and started to leave the room. Calypso wasn't going to say anything, but her curiosity got the best of her. "Where are you going?"
"I'm hungry." When he reached the door he turned around, making eye contact with her. "Want anything?" Calypso felt her face heat up. For what? She thought. He's just looking at me!
Calypso had been trying all day to avoid talking to Leo as much as possible. But of course he just had to talk to her and act like everything was fine. Like they hadn't not spoken to each other for months.
"N-no." She managed, mentally hitting herself for both stuttering and lying. She'd been so worried about coming over she had forgotten to eat breakfast.
Leo shrugged and left the room. When he came back, he was holding a bag of Doritos and bowl of strawberries. Calypso loved strawberries. Was he gonna eat them in her face? Immature, but it did sound like something Leo would do.
He set the bag of Doritos in front of himself and the strawberries in front of Calypso. "I said I wasn't hungry." Calypso said, looking down at the strawberries. It came out as a question more than a statement.
"No offense, but I don't believe you." Calypso examined Leo. "I'm not trying to start anything, Cal.- Lypso." He added on quickly. Calypso tried her best to ignore the way her stomach felt when she heard her nickname. "Do you.. want the strawberries?"
"Maybe."
Leo let out a small laugh and beamed. Calypso's stomach did a hundred flips all at once. She realized how much she missed his smile and his laugh, both incredibly contagious. She forgot how much she loved being around him- when things weren't like how they were right now.
"I'm assuming that means yes."
Leo didn't return back to his work for a while, instead eating his chips. Calypso worked and ate at the same time, glancing over at Leo every so often to see if he would finally start.
"When do you plan on getting back to work?" She asked at last.
Leo shrugged and looked into the bag of chips that was half empty. "When I finish my chips."
"The entire bag?"
A playful smile formed on his lips. "Are you shaming me?"
Calypso felt herself smiling, too, but quickly stopped. Calypso started beating herself up inside for giving in to Leo's attempts at making her laugh. Maybe they were intentional. Maybe they weren't. Maybe, it was just Leo being Leo. But that was the problem- she was supposed to like Leo. They're exes, and that's the way it should be. Right? She thought. "Just wondering."
"I'll have to wash my hands once I'm done, and that'll hold me back." His smile grew, this time she could tell it was sarcastic. "Do you think I should have worn gloves?"
It's jokes like these that make Calypso love Leo. The stupid jokes, the ones that aren't even that funny, cause her to forget about everything and laugh. And she does.
For a second.
She notices what's she's done and becomes angry. Not just at herself but at Leo, too. She's not supposed to be enjoying his company. And he's certainly not supposed to be enjoying her's. Why can't she stop herself? Why does he have to be so... irrisistable?
"Can't you ever take anything seriously?" Calypso snaps.
Leo's eyes widen, his smile fading away. "What?-"
"You should be working anyways. Not joking around with your ex-girlfriend."
Leo's eyes instead squint, his face turning into an expression like Calypso's. "Are you kidding? What have I done?"
"What have you done? What haven't you done Prince Charming!"
"What are you talking about?"
"Ugh!" Calypso got up and stormed out of the room. She was about to get to the door leading out of his apartment, but Leo's hand grabbed her, forcing her to stay. "Leo-"
"Calypso, I get you're stressed-"
"Stressed? About what?"
"Us breaking up! And your feelings, and-"
"My feelings? What do you know about my feelings? And you'd have to be delusional to think that I'm stressing over our breakup!"
"Deny what you want."
Calypso ignored him, forcing her arm away from Leo and storming out the door.
-----------
Calypso thought about their fight the entire weekend. After a long time, she came to a conclusion.
She overreacted.
Calypso now stood at Leo's door on a Monday afternoon, completely unannouced and not invited.
This time, she knocked.
"Who is it?" A voice that definitely wasn't Leo's called.
"Uh- Calypso?" Calypso called back.
After a few seconds the door opened, revealing a girl. She was a little shorter than Calypso, had curly black hair, and had black smudges all over herself.
Calypso blinked a few times trying to process what she was seeing. Did Leo have a girlfriend? Why hadn't he told her? Well, he didn't really have to tell her anything. They weren't dating, after all.
"Oh, Leo's project partner?" The girl replied. "One second." She turned around and yelled: "LEO, SOMEONE'S HERE TO SEE YOU!"
"Yeah?" A more familiar voice called from the doorway of the living room. The girl stepped to the side, letting Leo see Calypso. He was covered in black smudges, too- the same ones the girl had. "Oh." Leo walked across the living room to the door. "Do you need something?"
"To uhm talk. To you." Calypso admitted. "Unless you're busy or..." Calypso's eye unwillingly went to the girl standing next to her.
The girl shook her head furiously. "No, gosh, sorry! I'll go!" She practically ran past Calypso, leaving just her and Leo.
Leo spoke first. "Sorry about Hazel-"
"No, it's fine. I hope I wasn't interrupting anything."
Leo laughed lightly. "Interrupting anything? What would you be interrupting?"
Calypso shrugged. "I don't know. Things, I guess." Leo scanned her long and hard, and Calypso had to clear her throat to get herself back together. "That's not why I came here, though. I want to apologize."
Leo stood up straighter. "Oh?"
"Yeah. I may have possibly overreacted." She glanced up at Leo's face, and he wasn't impressed. "Okay not possibly, but definitely. I just felt vulnerable and insecure because everything's so complicated in my head and I don't know how I feel and... ugh, I don't know! I shouldn't have taken it out on you. I'm sorry."
"I get how you feel. It's fine."
"Do you wanna work on the project again sometime? I'll try not to blow up again."
That same comforting smile came back on Leo's face. "Yeah, that's cool. Is Wednesday okay?"
"Are you free then?"
"I wouldn't be asking if I wasn't." Calypso could tell he meant no harm in his reply from the laugh in his voice.
"Okay then." Calypso laughed. "I guess I'll see you Wednesday?"
A few footsteps came behind the pair. The girl was back, this time looking, less confident than she had before. "OH!" Leo motioned to the girl standing before them. "This is Hazel."
Hazel forced a smile. "Hi." Calypso said. She turned to Leo. "She's your...." She didn't finish, wanting Leo to say it so she didn't have to. Leo looked confused, waiting for her to finish.
"Friend?" He answered once he noticed she wasn't going to add on.
"Oh."
"Who'd you think she was?"
"I am definitely not his girlfriend!" Hazel gagged. "We're just friends! I came over to paint with Leo and get advice with- this guy." Her eyes shot to Leo. "The same guy who just asked me out!"
"Actually?" Leo grinned. Hazel nodded, looking terrified. "Isn't that good?"
"It's amazing! But what if-" She suddenly remembered Calypso was there. "We'll talk about it later."
"I should get going." Calypso admitted. "I have work to catch up on. I'll see you around?"
"Of course, Sunshine." Leo winked.
Calypso said goodbye and left, failing to ignore the burning sensation in her cheeks and the butterflies in her stomach.
----------------
A lot happened in the 3 weeks the pair worked on the project.
Calypso started letting old memories and habits come back, despite a lot of them being associated with her ex-boyfriend.
One thing were the nicknames.
"Hey, Cal?"
"Sorry, Cal?"
"Hey, Sunshine."
"Thanks a lot, Little Miss Perfect."
"Why don't we work outside?" "What do you mean it's hot?" "It's a perfect day out, Sunshine."
Another were the cute things.
"Leo, it is not cold in here." Calypso sighed, staring at him on her bed in her apartment.
"It feels like Antarctica!" Leo whined, rubbing his hands over his arms.
"You've never been to Antarctica! How would you know how it feels?"
"I just know that it's cold. Don't you have blankets in here?"
"You're such a baby." Calypso argued, leaving the room.
"Calypso!" He cried after her. When she returned, she held two blankets in her arms. She threw both onto Leo.
"Don't say you're too hot."
"Two is a bit much." Calypso glared at him. "But I appreciate these very much." He added quickly.
Calypso couldn't help but watch Leo instead of doing her work. He was covered in blankets, not seeming to care about the layers of cloth piled on his head. Calypso smiled to herself.
And then there were the familiar things.
"You kept this?" She asked, staring at the plant in Leo's kitchen near the window. She'd given it to him back when they were dating as a 'starter plant'.
Leo peeked over to where she was from the fridge. "Yeah." He searched her for approval. "Why?"
"Why hadn't I noticed it before?" She wondered aloud.
"We've never really spent much time in the kitchen."
"You mean I haven't spent much time in the kitchen."
Leo grinned and agreed. "Why do you ask?"
"Hm?"
"Why do you ask about the plant?"
"Oh." Calypso looked back at the plant. "I don't know. I just thought that... y'know... since we broke you would've... I don't know. Gotten rid of it?"
"There's a few things I kept. The things I didn't want to go to waste."
"Like the bookshelf?" Calypso blurted out, immediately regretting it.
"You noticed that?"
"You said I could look around. And it's, like, 8 feet tall."
Leo chuckled at the last part. "Do you want the plant?"
Calypso thought about it. "You keep it. It seems you're taking good care of it, anyways."
"I've had help from my mom."
Calypso remembered his wondefrul mother, Hemithea, a woman who she'd spent a lot of time with. She wondered how his mother felt about her now. "That makes sense."
"Are you trying to say you didn't expect that I could take care of a plant all by myself?"
"Could you?"
"Um- well-"
"That answers my question."
"You could show me sometime." He suggested. "Y'know, taking care of plants."
Calypso considered it. "Maybe I could."
And more.
"Are you wearing perfume?" Leo asked, squinting at Calypso.
She tugged on her necklace nervously. "Yeah. Why?"
"What kind?"
"The kind," She said, mocking his use of the word. "Is cinnamon."
Leo shook his head. "That's not what I'm smelling."
"I lit a candle before you got here." She leaned over to her nightstand and picked up the candle. "Sparkling Citron and Oak Barrel Vanilla." Calypso blushed as she read the scent, thinking back to when Leo had told her he liked it before.
"That's definitely what I'm smelling."
Calypso laughed and set the candle down. "You like it?"
Leo looked up at her from where he was laid across the bed. "You know I do."
-------------
And the familiar things that felt too familiar.
Calypso woke up, covered in a blanket and- a pair of arms? She slightly turned her head to see who it was, but her wondering was cut short when a few curls fell in her face.
She wasn't supposed to be sleeping over, and she surely wasn't supposed to be cuddled up in bed with Leo Valdez.
Her heart started beating faster, and she felt her cheeks from warm. She cleared her throat and contemplated waking Leo up. She could have, she really could. But the feeling of his breath of her neck, his amrs wrapped gently around her, his body pressed to her's were too familiar.
So she fell back asleep, just for a while, before Leo woke her up on his own.
Her eyes fluttered open, landing on the man rubbing his eyes with his hands. When he stopped, his eyes met her's. "Sorry." He whispered. "I didn't mean to wake you up."
"It's fine." Calypso assured him, sitting up as well. She looked over him, taking notice of his stressed state. As much as she would like to think Leo just wanted to hold her, she knew that wasn't true. He had a habit of hugging pillows in his sleep whenever he had- "Nightmares?" She guessed.
Leo's gaze turned to his hands. "Yeah." Calypso opened her mouth to ask him about what he saw. "I don't wanna talk about it. Sorry."
"You don't have to apologize, Leo. It's fine."
They held each other's gaze, wondering when the other would look away. Luckily for them, neither one did.
----------
It was the last day of the 3 weeks when the thing she had been worried about for days finally ste in: after today, she didn't have an excuse to hang out with Leo.
How could she find a way to hang out with him? Bribe the professor to assign another assigment involving partners and pair them up? Make a bunch of lame excuses for coming over to Leo's place? Or, she could do what she'd been afraid of doing for a while now.
Accept her feelings.
Calypso still loved Leo. All those feelings she thought had left weren't just coming back for no reason. And besides, they could work things out.
Both Calypso and Leo and started attending therapy, learned to communicate their feelings, and own up to their mistakes.
Was that all they needed? A little time apart to reflect and grow? What a waste of tissues and ice cream.
Calypso zoned out as Leo went over their final presentation before they handed it in, instead focusing on how she could reveal the way she felt without freaking him out too much.
"How does it look?"
Calypso blinked a few times and snapped back into reality. "Uh, great."
Leo smirked as if he didn't believe her. "What was your favorite part?"
"The words?"
Leo set the laptop down. "What's on your mind?"
"You." Calypso cringed at her own words.
Leo smirked once more, inspecting Calypso. "Flattering. But I want specifics."
"Is that not specific enough?"
"What having to do with me?" Leo leaned against one arm on the bed.
"Me." Leo's eyebrow raised. 'You and me."
"Really?"
"Leo, I'm going to kill you."
Despite the threat, he looked pleased. "Is being broken up really what we both want right now?"
"It's not what I want." Calypso responded. "So what do you want?"
Leo sat up, now inches away from Calypso's face. "You."
They didn't wait for the other to say anything. Their lips crashed together, taking in the feelings that were oh so familiar. Leo's lips moved against her's, taking no time to speed things up. Calypso moved her hand to the back of Leo's neck, pulling him closer to her. He responded by wrapping his arm around her, pushing the two of them to the bed.
Leo's lips tasted like strawberries, thanks to the bowl of them Calypso had made him eat after he ate an entire bag of Skittles. Her hands ran up and down his neck, from the end of his curls back down to the space just before his back.
Leo pulled away, both of them breathing heavily.
"How did I stay away from you for so long?" Leo huffed.
"Does it matter now?" Calypso asked, which was her way of saying 'Shutup and kiss me.' Luckily for her, Leo knew what she meant. His lips crashed back into her's, back into their own familiar world.

wish you were sober (solangelo au)
wrote this like a year ago, haven't even read it over to see if its actually good, but happy pride month! (ps listen to wish you were sober by conan gray! its based off the lyrics)
---
°"real sweet, but i wish you were sober." °
~
Nico took another swig of beer, passing it off with ease. Will couldn't help but stare at him. He was disgusted.
Not that the boy was drinking. Frankly, he thought he was more fun when he was drunk.
But 'fun, drunk' Nico also came with 'stupid, middle school boy-like mind' Nico.
A freshman in college, only 19, but he seemed to act as if he were 25. Nico reluctantly listened to most of Will's advice, but when it came to being drunk the night bfore an exam, Nico learned to push him off even harder than before.
The loud music gave him a headache. The bright lights burned against his pupils, forcing him to shut his eyes tight.
Will wanted to drag Nico home, crawl into bed, and wake up like this never happened. Like the boy he'd been crushing on since forever wasn't drunk and stupid, threatening Will's feelings for him entirely.
He felt someone slam into him, and his eyes immediately opened.
"Sorry, Will." Nico slurred, giggling as he did.
"Are you ready to go?" He placed his hand on Nico's arm. "It's getting late, and you're super drunk."
"This is fun!" Nico seemed way too enthusiastic. "I've made four friends." He pointed to the TV, where Mean Girls was playing. "Her name is Reginald, and she's really mean. But we're cool, I guess." He raised his arm to point towards a dog in the corner but Will grabbed his face and made hin look him in the eye.
"Nico, we should go." Nico would've been looking him in the eye, except his eyes were doing everything but focus.
Nico took his beer bottle and took another swig. Then, he went on his tiptoes and kissed Will.
Will liked Nico, he really did. And they'd kissed many times before....
When he was drunk.
That couldn't help but make Will wonder if the things Nico did had any true meaning behind them. If when he'd downed his last shot and plopped down on the couch, leaning his head onto Will's shoulder it was because he found comfort being by his side, and not because he'd just had an entire bottle of beer. Or when he somehow found himself at Will's dorm, knocking on the door at 3 AM, only to be welcomed with open arms, it was because he wanted to be there, even when he wasn't drunk. He wondered if Nico had thought about the times when he'd insist on sleeping with Will, always a few inches apart though, so they wouldn't feel too uncomfortable.
Nico never kissed Will when he was sober. He never swung by his dorm without invitation, and he certainly didn't sit within 5 inches of him.
Will's mind went back to the kiss, taking in the details.
Had he even meant to do it? His lips tasted like alcoholic. He smelled even more of it. Nico pulled away, smiling.
Nico went for another drink when Will stopped him. "You'll get sick if you keep drinking." Nico frowned but put the bottle down. "I don't want tou to drive home or end up not having a ride. I'm driving, alright?"
"Hazel said she'd drive me."
Will sighed. "Where's Hazel? She's not drinking, is she?"
"In the back with Frank, I think." He spoke his words slowly, full of exhaustion.
"Has she had anything to drink tonight?"
"Why don't you do a breathalyzer test on her, officer?" He smirked at his own horrible joke.
Knowing Hazel surely didn't drink, Will nodded, ignoring his comment.
"Want a drink?" Nico asked, holding up the bottle.
"Uh, no. Thanks." Will glanced at the window behind him and back at Nico. "I gotta get out of here."
"You're driving?"
Will pointed to the window awkwardly.
There were many things he hated about these parties.
The smell, the lights, the sounds, the amount of people- drunk people. It was enough to make him throw up- and not because he was drunk.
He tried his best to avoid people, stay at Nico's side. But the drinks always got the best of the dark-haired boy, and before you knew it Nico had forgotten that Will was even there.
"I'm leaving. You're staying?"
"The heart wants what it wants." Will pretended to understand what he meant. He still couldn't believe the guy in front of him was the same guy who would yell "SHUTUP SOLACE!" to him when he was being too optimistic, or unpluged the speakers im Will's apartment when he sang too loudly into his microphone.
"Uh, alright. I'll see you again sometime?"
"Always, Shiny." Will decided it would be best to ignore the nickname.
Will hopped out of the window, still confused, but let his legs take him to his car. He walked slower than needed, because secretly, he hoped Nico was following him out.
--------------
Another night similar night came around, this time Nico letting Will take him home.
With New York being New York, it took Will forever to find a parking spot. When he finally did, the dorms were 3 blocks down. Nico leaned over and kissed Will's cheek, completely messing up his mind and making the car park slanted to the sidewalk.
"Nice parking." Nico smirked.
Will bit back some words, reminding himself he was just drunk and being annoying.
Will had his hand in Nico's as he guided him through the dark streets. They finally arrived at the building, walking through it until they reached Nico's dorm.
Nico gave Will the same smile he always gave him when he was drunk- lopsided, teethy, and meaningful. Of course it is. Will thought. The boy's drunk. Right now he's forgotten about all of the horrors of his past, and worries for the future.
Will's face dropped, feeling even worse for Nico than he usually did. Nico frowned too, tilting his head to the side. "What?"
"Erm, nothing." Will took Nico's keys and unlocked his door, inviting himself in.
He waited for Nico to come in and closed the door behind him. He wrapped his arm around him and led him to his room. "Sleep." He then went to the bathroom and found pain meds and a glass of water, carrying it with him back to Nico's room.
Nico stood at his window, gazing into the night. Will silently placed the water and medicine on Nico's bedside table and strolled over to him. "You okay?"
"Mhm." Nico mumbled. "Going back to your dorm?"
"Yep. You should sleep." Nico slowly turned to Will.
"Stay with me?"
"No." Will said immediately. He didn't care about the hurt look on Nico's face. "You're drunk."
"I didn't mean it that way." His voice was filled with irritation, and Will reminded himself not to get a drunk person angry. Nico read Will's mind. "I'm not mad, Will. I just didn't mean it like that." He stared back out the window. "And you don't have to stay if you don't want to."
Every ounce of Will's body wanted to stay. But every ounce of Will's mind wanted to know if this were real. Would the sober Nico want Will to stay? Or would he push him outside and lock the door? Was this even Nico in front of him?
I'm thinking too far into this. He thought. He's drunk, for gods' sake. Of course he'll act weird.
So this was just him acting weird? There was nothing at all?
"I want to stay." Will said. "But I also want a lot of other things."
Nico's droopy eyes widened. "Like what?"
"Like what you're really thinking. What you're really feeling, Di Angelo." Through Nico's confused expression, Will could see a hint of understanding. Will gave one last glance at the glass of water and ran his fingers through his hair. "I-I have to go. Go to bed. Bye."
Before Nico could respond, he was out the door.
-------------
As much as he'd thought about Nico getting drunk, Will had never thought about what it would be like for him to get drunk. The night was like a blur to him.
Nico dragged Will into his bed, covering a drunk Will with blankets. He moaned and whispered random nonsense, all causing Nico to watch Will from the corner of his eye in case he randomly shot up and started glowing.
Nico grabbed a glass of water and pain killers, comimg over to Will's side and leaving them on his bedside table. Will stared up at him, taking it in.
"Death Boy-"
"Don't think that because you're drunk you can get away with that, Solace."
Will smiled a little. "Are you going back to your dorm soon?"
Nico glanced at the time and back at Will. "Eventually."
"So when are you leaving?"
"You seem eager for me to leave."
"Trust me, I'm not."
"Me either." It was like a whisper, but Will could've sworn he heard it.
Will shut his eyes, focusing on nothing in particular since the boy he was in love with had just flustered him and he was, well, drunk.
Will almost snapped his eyes open when he felt a hand run through his hair. He almost passed out when he felt a pair of lips press to his forehead.
Had Nico had any drinks tonight?
"The one night I don't get drunk I'm left to take care of this guy." Nico mumbled. Will's stomach did a somersault. "I don't regret it." He stopped momentarily. "I hope you're asleep." Will felt Nico getting off the bed. "Why did I say that? What if he's awake?" He heard him curse a few times, him traveling through my dorm, and open and close of a door.
-----------------
"You're a pain when you're drunk." Will told him, making Nico shake his head. Nico pulled the blankets on the couch closer around himself.
"No way."
"Yes, way."
"I hate to say this, but you're not horrible. You're pretty quiet. You fall asleep pretty quickly, too."
Will flinched at the last comment. He could tell him. He could tell him he heard every last word Nico had said. He wasn't that drunk, after all.
"You flinched." Nico stated, causing Will to flinch just as badly as he did before. "You did it again."
"Did what?"
"You flinched." Nico repeated. "You heard me didn't you?" Will didn't respond. "You only had a few shots. Gods, how could I be so stupid-"
"I'm not mad. I'm not upset. I don't see a problem really." Nico looked up, his eyes full of relief. "Except for one. Why have you been hiding from all this time?"
"I guess I should bee honest, too. I've meant every word I've said to you while I've been drunk." He stopped. "Well, not all, obviously. But every kiss, every touch, everything remotely romantic I've done I've meant. I'm sorry if it didn't seem like it. I'm sorry if I left you worried, or confused, or unsure in whatever feelings you had... or still do." He said the last part as if it was a question, seeming to still be waiting for an answer himself.
"Of course I still like you, Di Angelo." Will said, taking Nico's hand. "I'd be stupid if I didn't. Thanks. For clearing it up, I mean." Will squeezed Nico's hand. "Can I kiss you? I mean a real, fully sober kiss."
Nico's lips turned up. He nodded as Will leaned in, connecting his lips with Nico's.
What he thought had been the result of a few drinks had actually been the result of a few feelings that grew even stronger. Even past the alcohol and the parties Nico loved Will. And now, it didn't take a drunk version of himself to show it.
