brennan literally said that the ratgrinders underestimated the bad kids. they don’t know how real adventuring parties are fluid and communicative. they don’t realize that they’ve actually worked for their success, and that it wasn’t just handed to them. they’re so jealous of the bad kids that they’re blind to their genuine strength.

what kipperlily didn’t see, in her haste to leave the crime scene, was further proof that she’s always been wrong about kristen. because kristen cares. she was willing to possibly incriminate herself by searching buddy’s body for some way to bring him back. she was willing to reach out to her already struggling god to try to bring him back. and the bad kids, too. they were disappointed they couldn’t help him right away. they set up a way to watch his body and have evidence if it was disturbed.

they care.

even when it’s about a person they never for a second liked.

this episode ended in such an insane place that i almost forgot it started with brennan making six of his real-life friends write a 300 word essay in five minutes.
