My friend died this week.
I came on here after so long to try and find his old blog but I can’t seem to find it.
I realize all my old posts are about wanting to die and being sad, but I just want to say that life is precious. Life may not always be what you hoped for, and I don’t know what anyone else is going through, but there will always be someone you leave behind. It doesn’t matter who you are. There will always be someone who wishes you were still around.
My friend was a wonderful person and he left us all behind. The happiness he brought us will remain forever, but we can only keep what we already have, we can no longer create new memories with him.
He’s gone.
We can’t tell him how much we’ll miss him. We can’t tell him how wonderful his presence is. We can’t tell him how much we will cherish every minute that we got to spend with him.
I can’t express how important your life is. It doesn’t matter how much you hate yourself or hate the world, there are things worth living for. Someone loves you, someone will miss you, someone appreciates you. Please don’t leave them behind.
I hope that you can find the time to cherish the relationships you have with others. You can reach out to people. You can ask someone how they’re doing. You can tell someone you appreciate the time you’ve spent together. You can reconnect with old friends. You can keep telling yourself that you have all the time in the world. You’ll talk to them again someday. You’ll bump into each other somewhere and chat. Stop waiting.
Your childhood friends will die someday.
Don’t let them die without reminding them how much they mean to you. Don’t let them feel forgotten. Don’t wait. Reach out now before it’s too late. Tell them you appreciate their existence and all the adventures you went on together. Tell them you remember all the fun you had. Tell them how important they are.
The last time I saw my friend was 5 years ago when I casually bumped into him at the store at 2am. Now he’s dead. I can’t talk to him now. I can’t say hi. I can’t reach out. I have to just accept that I let all my friendships slip away while I secluded myself. I am so full of regret and I can’t do anything about it. All I can do is reach out to the rest of my friend group, trying to correct my mistakes before they’re gone too.
Please reach out to the people you cherish. And please don’t leave those that you cherish behind.

Lemme tell you somethin fuckin stupid.
According to my boyfriend, it doesn’t make any sense why I would be offended or why I would need to stick up for transgender people when we are having a one-on-one conversation without any transgender people present.
HERE’S WHY THAT’S NOT SITTING RIGHT WITH ME:
I don’t give a fuck who I am or who you are or where the fuck we are or why the fuck we’re having this conversation. If you are going to sit there and tell me that changing ONE word, a SINGLE PRONOUN, for ANOTHER person, is somehow going to negatively affect you then I will fight you to the death. You cannot seriously tell me that the only way you’d call a transwoman a “she” is if you were under the threat of execution, and then expect me to sit there and NOT tell you that you are being dramatic. YOU ARE DRAMATIC. I will call you dramatic EVERY SINGLE TIME, because calling someone by their preferred pronoun should not be that big of a fucking problem for you. How on earth is that negatively affecting you?? Why do you care??? Why do you need to sit here and argue against it?? It’s called respect. I don’t care what you believe in or if you agree or disagree, respecting other human beings means that you do not invalidate them just because you are not the same as them. What the fuck is so hard about changing “she” to “he” or “her” to “him”?? Tell me why that’s such a big problem for you? The only problem I see here is the fact that you are so disrespectful that you would rather go around invalidating/insulting people instead of just changing one word.
You can sit there and argue about genetics until you’re blue in the face, but all I really care about is that you have basic respect for other human beings. You call people by what they want to be called. You do not KNOWINGLY call someone something that makes them uncomfortable. Why the fuck would I just sit here and say nothing? Of course I’m going to ask questions, yeah I’m going to tell you that it is simply respectful at bare minimum to call someone what they would like to be called.
Why is this such a difficult thing for people to understand? Like seriously, I don’t fucking care if there are no transgender people around, I will absolutely defend their right to be respected.
I tried every analogy/metaphor that I could think of in order to create a relatable scenario and nothing got through. JUST CALL PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANNA BE CALLED DAMN IT ITS NOT HARD WHY THE FUCK DO YOU HAVE TO DIE ON SOME HILL OVER ONE FUCKING WORD THAT WILL NEVER AFFECT YOU LITERALLY EVER. It may just be ONE word to you, but to someone struggling with their gender identity it is WAY more than just a word.
“I’m not going out directly disrespecting trans people so why does it even matter?”
Because you’re still part of the problem and you’re going to continue being part of the problem until you can learn to respect other people.

Why doesn’t Spotify have a “My relationship is horribly toxic and I’m slowly being starved of happiness while I quote Amy Winehouse and tearfully eat cheese ravioli, wishing I could actually cry if I weren’t such a dehydrated bitch” playlist?

Ya know I’m really starting to think that maybe I’d rather be alone and just read about the ups and downs in romance manga instead of dealing with the ups and downs of an actual romance.
