The Divine Sleek i-Divine Palette
I review the divine Sleek i-Divine Palette over on the blog today.
So recently I decided to treat myself to a new eyeshadow palette. I only have the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette (check out my mini-review here) and while I love it dearly and still use it regularly I thought it was time for a shake up. Cue the Sleek i-Divine Palette.
The palette was a bargain for just €9.99 in Sam McCauley’sin Waterford. There are 17 palettes in total in the i-Divine collection…

Review: I <3 NYX
Bloggers all over Ireland were overjoyed when American brand NYX arrived on our shores. However, the brand is still only available in selected stores so it can still be hard to get your hands on.
So imagine my glee when I found out that Sam McCauley Chemist in humble little Waterford was going to start stocking the coveted brand. I was over the moon, let me tell you.
Without delay I rushed in and…

Fairy Godmother or away with the Fairies?
So it was all go this past weekend. After some last minute planning my brother and his partner successfully wet the babies’ heads, literally. Yup, their twins have been baptised and celebrated.
Any of you who know me will know that I was super excited to become an aunt for the first time recently, well imagine my excitement when I was told I had a godson thrown into the bargain too.
Below you are…

Taken the plunge into adulthood
Apart from that very short post on Sunday, I have been a bit on the quiet side when it comes to blogging. Well that is because I have taken a fairly big step and a leap into adulthood. I have finally taken the plunge and moved in on my own.
Yup, that’s right I now live all on my own, in a small one bedroom apartment. There is no one to greet me as I get in the door from work, no one to ask me how…

Aw, you guys....
Aw, you guys….
This is just a very short post to thank every single one of you for reading my blog. As many of you will already know Babs Scribbles has been nominated in the Best Lifestyle Blog Category in The Blog Awards Ireland 2014.
There is some stiff competition with some fabulous blogs in this category and as of yet I have only made it onto the long list but I am seriously chuffed to pieces. This blog has…

Fanny Crown, The Queen of 60s Style
Fanny Crown, The Queen of 60s Style
What pops into your head when you think of the 60s. For me peace, love, music and the mini skirt all come to mind. Now as many of you know I am vintage obsessed! And in my mind one of the most revolutionary items in fashion was the mini. Not only did women no longer have to dress like their mothers but for the first time young people were leading the fashion stakes.

#ForeverAlone and Loving it!
Fair warning, this post is going to turn into a rant! So if you don’t want to hear it then look away now (I have lots of other posts that aren’t as angry as this once, please feel free to browse through them).
So it all started on Saturday night when I was out for a few social drinks with my housemate. All was going great and we were having a good time until IT happened. I did a very stupid thing…

Review La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo
As some of you may already know I have always been a fan of La Roche-Posay. So I was delighted when I received the new Effaclar Duo [+]from a Cara Pharmacy goodie bag. (Yes I am still getting through all the fabulous goodies from the ITWBN meet up, from AGES ago).
So basically this cream is meant to improve blemishes, oiliness and clogged pores in the skin as well as correct and prevent marks. It…

Review: Just Addicted to Endora
Endora.ieis an Irish owned clothing shop who have recently launched their online shopping website. I felt so lucky when Endora got in touch with me to review their clothes (the first time anyone has approached me to review a product) and I was more than happy to oblige. They generously let me browse the website and choose an item myself, which was a ridiculously hard decision, but finally I…

Review: No 7 products
A couple of weeks ago Boots were running a promotion with No 7 and it was something I had to get in on. The blogging world was all a flutter with talk of what was in the beautiful gift box that you received when you bought two No7 products. So off I went to my local Boots to see what all the fuss was about. Now No 7 is not a brand I would have a lot of experience with but to be honest I may be…

Review: Le Roche Posay Rosaliac CC Cream
Recently I have meandered into the world of the CC/BB cream. For the past year or so I have been hearing great things about this CC cream and that BB cream but to be honest I didn’t really know what they were and I was too comfortable with my makeup routine to go about changing it.
But then it happened! Horrors or horrors I ran out of my daily foundation half way through my face right before…

Vintage Wedding Style
Ok guys, I meant to do this post weeks ago and really I have no excuse other than I am lazy! I have so many posts planned and just have not got around to writing any of them up due to work and being out gallivanting. So without further ado here is a quick post on what I wore to my housemates wedding recently.
Those of you who regularly visit my blog will know that I LOVE anything that is vintage…

Review: Pixy Strawberry Mousse Shower
Recently my kind and wonderful sister donated the Pixy Strawberry Shower Mousse to her little sister (moi!) And what a donation it was. Retailing at €12.95 for a 300ml jar this is gorgeous. It smells wonderful and there you get a lot of product for your moolah.

Included is a shower puff, at least I think that’s what they are called, you all know what I mean. So all you do…

Vintage Tea Party
Recently I went to a vintage tea party as part of my friends hen party. We were encouraged to dress up in 1950s style and headed out to Curraghmore House in Waterford where it was held. When we arrived Karrena from Oh So Sweet Occasions had already set up a great tea party including bunting, lace tablecloths, cups and saucers, cutlery, sandwiches, cupcakes, cakes and a 50s soundtrack.
Some of the…

Culture Day: Enniscorthy Castle
I Discovered Enniscorthy Castle recently. Come see what I found!
So recently I found myself in Enniscorthy with my sister Belinda. As part of what she likes to call a “Culture Day” we decided to visit the castle. Now being a little bit of a history nerd I couldn’t wait to wander around the old stone building and see what I could discover, Belinda couldn’t wait to set eyes on an exhibition of Eileen Grey’s furniture that is held here.
For a paltry entry fee of…

#ITWBN: G Hotel
Last Saturday I was so excited to attend the first Into The West Bloggers Network event in the G Hotel in Galway. I had never been to the G Hotel before and could not wait to meet the wonderful bloggers from the network. Some I had met before through other events etc but others I only knew through their blogs so I was very excited to meet the person behind the words.
The 5 star G Hotel is…
