Greed over creation

A/N: so this is an original creation of mine, originally, it was meant for a class assignment but I uh... Daydreamed halfway so it isn't exactly proof red, so yeah, but don't worry, it's "good" according to my friends lol.

Once, there was a glorious kingdom ruled by dragons.

Despite popular belief, dragons are the creators of the universe.

There's a dragon for everything, a dragon for water, air, fire, earth...

And amongst them all, the dragon of life. The ruler of all dragons.

It was peaceful and quiet amongst the kingdom, until the dragon of life decided to create life forms that was soon called "gods" and eventually, he created "humans".

At first, the humans were delightful to dragons and gods, creating so much wonderful things, taking care of all the dragons' and gods' creation, until the humans started to exploit the wonderful gifts that were given to them.

Gods, being the cowards that they are, hid in the sky in a wonderful city in the sky made of silver, gold, and pearls.

The dragons remained on land, believing the humans may change, regret their ways, and eventually repent.

But hope had died when a dragon was killed brutally by a human "warrior".

One by one, dragons fell at the hands of humans, for their delicious meat, hard scales, their gold blood, and quite frankly, the fame that would come with it.

Dragons slowly dwindled in number until but 6 remains.

The dragon of life, the dragon of air, the dragon of earth, and the three dragons of water.

With great pain in his heart, the dragon of life decided to disguise himself as a human and live amongst humans, his siblings had followed his pursuit.

"We shall follow you to the ends of the earth, brother." The dragon of air said with a smile, "who cares if the humans could kill us? We can just destroy them right back."

The other dragons agreed but the dragon of life, being so merciful and kind, disagreed on the destruction of another species he created.

He never wished for pain and suffering amongst his family, his own creations had turned against them, seeing themselves as self righteous.

Decades soon passed by, the human disguised dragons lived a rather... Peaceful(?) life.

The dragon of life took on the name "Lucifer Farcia", having the form of a tall man with bluish black hair and blood red eyes, the dragon of air became "Atmos Farcia" based on the human's name for "atmosphere", taking on a form of a man with dark hair with a greenish fade at the bottom of his silky smooth waist length hair with soft red eyes since he's the second oldest and felt like it was right, the dragon of earth named himself "Jiyoo Farcia" namely because "Jiyoo" sounded like "geo" which is also earth in the human's language, taking on a form of a tall man with brown hair and red eyes as he's the third oldest and simply felt like it was the best aesthetic for an "earth dragon in human form", while the triplet water dragons named themselves the most complicated names know to man, the oldest sister in the triplets named herself "Thalassa Farcia" with the form of a beautiful woman with fair skin, ocean blue hair and red contrasting eyes, while the other younger two named themselves "Aenon" and "Nerio" respectively with the same look to their older sister with just a few tweaks.

All had respective jobs, live quite a lavish life, their secret is unknown to man.

They still do their jobs as dragons, but they try to become secretive about it.

One day, Lucifer, the dragon of life, was strolling around the beautiful, lush, forest behind his manor, he came across a big fluffy wolf, its fur is darkened with dried blood and dirt, its leg caught on a bear trap as it desperately tries to set itself free.

"Calm down, creature..." Lucifer called softly as the wolf seemed to become more aggressive, "I understand your fear. But worry not, I shall help you."

The wolf seemed to understand human words, 'weird' the dragon had thought since he knew he had created animals to understand it's own language, 'had it spent time with humans well enough to understand their language?' he thought to himself once more as he freed the wolf.

The wolf seemed grateful, but not even a moment later, it convulsed on the forest ground, turning into a human form.

The wolf was originally a beautiful, yet odd colour, of lavender and gray, it's human form had tan skin, lavender overgrown hair, and it's eyes were crystal blue.

Lucifer, being the kindest, brought it home and cared for it, time passed by and he found out more about this mysterious wolf.

The wolf is the remaining descendant of the direwolf clan, Lucifer could vaguely remember creating them.

Apparently, the clan was also hunted down for their fur as it is thick and good quality

"Humans are cruel creatures." The wolf, named Ezra Esther, growled under his breath, "I despise them with all my being..."

"Oh..." Lucifer coul only muster as he had created humans, but in some way, he was right. Humans had grown too prideful, too greedy.

"What's wrong?"

"Oh, it's nothing..."

Time soon passed by in a blink of an eye, feelings blossomed, and before they could even comprehend, they were already married.

The time is now 4056, Ezra Farcia became a world known scientist and doctor, Lucifer Farcia is a very famous business man of wine and liquor, as well as owning other businesses under his name.

One day, Ezra became quite curious, recently, he had mastered the art of human replication.

"What happens if I create life instead of copying it...?" He thought to himself, so he began working. Using his and Lucifer's DNA to create a life form that seemed human yet a hybrid of direwolf and dragon.

He was overly happy with his creation as he watch it grow inside a tube.

Lucifer watched quietly in concern as he sees his husband getting all worked up with playing god and creating a human, but him, being him, he also rejoiced in the thought of having a biological child of their own, as well as the joy of his beloved husband.

Time came, there was a malfunction in the machinery Ezra was using to maintain this life, causing a huge explosion.

He was distraught, the life he so desperately wanted to live and took care of for 9 months, just destroyed like that.

Before he could even comprehend, he could hear weak cries from the broken tube, he rushed over to it and saw the small life form he had created was, well, alive.

Having tan skin and white blotches of vitiligo, dark bluish hair, just like Lucifer's, having two colored eyes which is blue and red, almost as if this child was half of both of them.

Lucifer was surprised himself to know that the creature Ezra had created was... Alive.

"Can I name them?" Ezra asks

"Them...?"

"No specific gender... I still have yet to work on that, but they're perfect... May I name them? Please...?"

Lucifer sighed softly before smiling and nodding.

"I shall name them... Axcel Lucci."

"Why's that?"

"It... Feels right..."

Lucifer could only chuckle at his husband's words.

Time then goes on, the creature grew. It had flaws such as a monotone voice and not expressing emotions, but despite this, Ezra and Lucifer could see that they're trying really hard to be "normal"

Just the other day at highschool, which is honestly exhausting, a kid was bullying them, or trying to.

When not getting the response he wanted, he said the lines Lucci lost control of: "your parents are fa***ts."

Lucci stopped in their tracks, the bully thought it was finally the reaction until their face was met with the cold metal of the school tray, their emotionless face grinning down at them in a sadistic manner as they kept punching him until he lost consciousness.

On the ride home, Ezra was driving because Lucifer could not be trusted to be behind the wheel, it was rather silent.

With Lucci just listening to music and glaring out the window as they always do.

"What was that, starling?" Ezra says.

He could see Lucci momentarily lifting their gaze from the window to the rear view mirror in a glare, clearly stating they're still mad before rolling their eyes and glaring right back out.

Ezra could only sigh softly.

*Starling..." Lucifer called, starling is the nickname they chose to give them for the simple reason of them being gifted into a dragon of the stars and destiny, just like Lucifer being the dragon of the sun and life.

"That idiot called you guys the f word." They said in a grumpy yet monotone voice.

The two seemed to be taken a back, Lucci isn't exactly known to be violent in any way, if anything, people would describe them to be a calm and gentle giant, Lucci was tall for their age.

"Is that so?" Lucifer chuckled, "you should've destroyed his nuts-"

"Lucifer!" Ezra gasped

It made Lucifer laugh out loud, Ezra could only groan and look at the rear view mirror to see them having a small smile playing on their lips.

"Seriously, don't do that." Ezra chuckled softly.

It was quiet once more in the car.

"... Sorry..." Lucci muttered softly

"Don't be, I know the circumstances, if anyone said the same to me, I'd want to rip them apart as well." Lucifer smiled

"Just... Lessen your urge to kill someone." Ezra said

"... I will, dad."

Time eventually passed by some more, Lucci grew to be a young lad, 24 years old.

By this time, they noticed how the two never seemed to grow.

"Father, may I ask why you and dad doesn't seem to grow old?" They asked as Lucifer smiled and gave their head a slight pat.

"We're immortals, my starling. I'm not quite sure if you're immortal as well, but I'd say you are also an immortal." Lucifer shrugged

"... I see..."

"Why did you ask? Is there something wrong?"

"Nothing much, really... I just noticed we're not like humans... Humans grow old, then they die... And I simply noticed we don't do that, I was curious." They explained

"I understand your curiosity, remember what I said, okay?"

"Yes father. I will never tell anyone about being a dragon..."

Lucifer smiled and kissed the top of their head, "that's my child..."

"Ew." They frowned slightly but Lucifer knows they just didn't like the sanitary side of it, not the actual kiss on the head itself.

"Say whatever you want, by the way, your uncles Nd aunt are coming. Get ready." He chuckled when he saw them immediately perk up and ran off almost excitedly.

"That kid will be the death of me some day" he laughed to himself.

As if words were heard, a sudden ambush attack was unleashed upon them.

As it was, there was a spy amongst Lucifer's butlers, thus resulting on a few greedy humans to find out about the powerful dragons and their capabilities.

They aimed to capture Lucifer and Ezra to get close to Lucci, which was actually a powerful being themselves.

"Go! Take them away from here!" Lucifer said as he fend off the humans trying to take Lucci

"What's going on, dad?" They asked as Ezra pulled them into the forest behind the manor.

The humans were close behind, it seems like Lucifer was successfully subdued and captured, hopefully not killed.

They soon found themselves cornered into a cliff with the raging waters at the bottom.

"Starling, whatever you do, please... Take care of yourself..." Ezra smiled almost painfully as he took off his locket necklace and placed it on them.

The sounds of their pursuers slowly becomes more and more louder.

Ezra smiled at them, as usual, Lucci is still their monotone and blank self.

With a kiss on their forehead, he pushed Lucci off the cliff.

Shock was evident.

The final words they heard before being swallowed whole by the ocean:

"Whatever you do, keep living."
