Too angry to form cohesive words

Too sad to write

Suffocating, drowning, choking

Quiet agony,

Silent torture.

What good is a poet if she doesn't feel?

What good is a writer if she doesn't think?

What good is a person if she doesn't live?

Falling, fainting, diving

All encompassing

Compassionate

Empty

Abyss.

Oh, but you can't blame the right.

...when the rules play against you,

You are bound to fail

Losing, weeping, loving

Broken trust

Ruined castle.

All it takes for a dam to fall is a small crack

All it takes for a glass to shatter is a light knock

All it takes for us to break...was a simple yes.

Glittering, glistening, iridescent

falling tears,

The silence nearly broke me.

I was avoiding you, my problem.

But I cannot trust you.

....not when you can't even stand up for me.

Do you understand?

When it matters, I don't.

So I chose to be silent.

Swallow all my words and cry soundless tears.

Rage and sadness washing through me. Disappointment drowned me.

Do you understand?

I cannot trust you.

Cannot trust you because you will throw me to the wolves.

Cannot trust you because you are selfish.

Cannot trust you because you've broken it.

Thought I was special, Schatz.

I was not.

Just another person on your journey.

Just another stone on your path.

Just another friend you'll forget.
