Do something today that your future self will thank you for.
I’ll admit, I grapple with waves of low motivation and fluctuations in my work and self-care routines. However, as the new year began, I made a personal commitment to engage in activities daily that I’ll appreciate later. Whether it’s dedicating 20 minutes to a yoga session or establishing a healthier work schedule at home, it’s these small steps that push me forward.
I’m working with my business coach @golivespartanbusiness , we implemented an interesting program involving dopamine boosts before tackling tasks and small rewards upon completion. This approach motivates me to apply a productive and intentional mindset while celebrating achievements. It doesn’t have to be extravagant; it’s about the little things. Whether it’s brewing a delightful tea / creating an inspiring ambience before starting a task , or even deserving a sushi takeout after completing three yoga sessions a week, these small gestures have so far been a gentle + encouraging approach to my work and mental health.
Do you have any tips or tricks for staying focused?

From the Nook Notes Newsletter:
As we find ourselves nestled in the delicate balance between winter’s hushed whispers and the impending arrival of spring, I’m reminded of the quiet beauty found in the in-between—the gentle pause where the earth catches its breath before bursting forth with new life.
During this middle way between seasons, I often find myself lingering, not quite ready to emerge from my winter cocoon. There’s a certain comfort in the stillness, a familiarity in the chill of the air and melancholic gloom of the clouds. Yet, as the promise of spring beckons, I feel a stirring within—a subtle invitation to welcome the unfolding of new beginnings.
There is magic in embracing the flow, in listening to the whispers of nature and allowing ourselves to be guided by its gentle currents.
As we prepare to transition into the blossoming of spring, here are four herbs and plants to accompany us on this journey: Nettles, Cleavers, Dandelion, and Peppermint.
What herbs are you reaching for during this liminal phase?
