The month of Ramadhan [is that] in which was revealed the Qur'an, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion. So whoever sights [the new moon of] the month, let him fast it; and whoever is ill or on a journey - then an equal number of other days. اَعُوْذُ بِاللّٰہِ الْعَظِیْمِ وَبِوَجْھِہِ الْکَرِیْمِ وَسُلْطَانِہِ الْقَدِیْمِ مِنَ الشَّیْطَانِ الرَّجِیْمِ بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ وَالصَّلٰوۃُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلٰی رَسُوْلِ اللّٰہِ اَللّٰھُمَّ افْتَحْ لِیْ اَبْوَابَ رَحْمَتِکَ

’’میں شیطان مردود سے عظمت والے اللہ کی، اس کے کریم چہرے اور اس کی قدیم سلطنت کی پناہ مانگتا ہوں۔ اللہ کے نام کے ساتھ (داخل ہوتا ہوں) اور درود و سلام ہو رسول اللہ ﷺ پر۔ اے اللہ! میرے لیے اپنی رحمت کے دروازے کھول دے۔‘‘

I seek refuge in Almighty Allah, by His Noble Face, by His primordial power, from Satan the outcast.1 [In the Name of Allah, and blessings.]2 [And peace be upon the Messenger of Allah.]3 O Allah, open before me the doors of Your mercy.4

وَ الَّذِیۡنَ تَدۡعُوۡنَ مِنۡ دُوۡنِہٖ لَا یَسۡتَطِیۡعُوۡنَ نَصۡرَکُمۡ وَ لَاۤ اَنۡفُسَہُمۡ یَنۡصُرُوۡنَ ﴿۱۹۷﴾
