Reading some of the things he’s said in the past is heartbreaking but I will say the fact he tweeted this over 2 years ago when all the stuff being spread around is from like 5-6 years ago does give me hope that he’s evolved… So take this as you will.

If you decide to hate someone based on something they said several years ago and don’t look at where they are at now before deciding to hate them then you probably are a very negative person. 

For example… If you were to look at James Charles, Jeffree Star, Shane Dawson, Jake Paul, Logan Paul, etc… their past and current behavior is repetitive and there’s a continuous trend between all of them. However, if you look at people who may have done or said problematic things in the past but seem to have evolved over time (such as Tyler Joseph, Lin Manuel Miranda, Bo Burnham, Jenna Marbles, Simu Liu, etc.) and then decide to “cancel” them… Is that necessarily fair? Especially if they’ve owned up to their past mistakes and are trying to be better? I mean it’s totally up to you to decide where you stand but I personally prefer to look at the entire picture before deciding if I hate someone.

Okay and now.... The fcking "cancel" trend in general... Do you realize that famous people are exposed only because they're in a public eye?? Well, exposed or better to say you just saw the word EXPOSED next to their name and you automaticly switched to hate and rage because even when you read what they said you didn't try to understand in what circumstances they said that or that it was said/posted years ago. Of course their statements could be really fcked up which only proves what a horrible proces of thinking they use to had. But what I wanted to say I bet, I BET that you all, including me, said horrible things in the past, which represented your opinion at that time, the way your mind was functioning. You were probably not that compasionate or educated or willing to learn about the things you critisized at that time, like you are now (or not even now). People change and their actions and representation of themselfs will show it. They don't have to prove it to you. And if they didn't really change, it will deffinetly show and you won't hear about them anymore.

Also, why are we expecting from other people to be perfect and unproblematic when we are not like that ourselves? Guess what - we never will be. We can't learn and evolve without making mistakes and bad decisions.

I bet that you have even better points and your own logical opinions and I would definitely add more to this myself or worded it differently but right now, this exact moment, this is all I could think of to write 🤷

It's crazy to me how people don't realise that if their entire life was on camera, freely available to comb through, and being critically analysed by millions of people with wildly different sensitivity levels and perspectives, they would be "problematic" too. Think about every single time you were misinterpreted, made a bad joke, said something risque, didn't know something, asked a dumb question, made a mistake, hurt someone's feelings accidentally, used the wrong word, were uneducated about something. Normally we apologise, move on and forget instantly - but if you're a celebrity, it's forever. Doesn't matter if you apologise, learn, grow and never make the mistake again - it defines you for life. A few simple mistakes or learning moments become your "true colours" while the positivity and goodness you bring every single other moment of every day are somehow ignored, as if a handful of fuck-ups in a whole decade define you but a lifetime of kindness doesn't. If those accounts that keep lists of every "problematic" thing a celeb has ever done weren't anonymous, you could compile an even longer list for them, but they have the luxury of being allowed to learn and move on - a right they deny to others in pursuit of an inhuman level of moral perfection amongst public figures.

Okay so I'm proud of this, not gonna lie, so I'm posting it here too. Like this came out so pretty wtf? Anyway its heavily inspired by this art piece; https://epicscifiart.wordpress.com/2016/01/13/hail-hydra-the-brainwashing-of-bucky-barnes/ I'm absolutely in love in the idea and mood so I had to do something similar.

I wanted to make the values pretty dark so for any lightning I used a darker blue with dodge blending mode (I use medibang). Overall I mainly used a acrylic brush and a lot of references-
