Pakal the Great, The Tomb of Kʼinich Janaab Pakal I in the Temple of Inscriptions, fullsleeve rework ❇ ~ The Temple of the Inscriptions "House of the Nine Sharpened Spears" is the largest Mesoamerican stepped pyramid structure at the pre-Columbian Maya civilization site of Palenque, located in the modern-day state of Chiapas, Mexico. The structure was specifically built as the funerary monument for K'inich Janaab' Pakal I 🇲🇽 ~ Inscribed on the lid of Pakal the Great’s sarcophagus, Pakal lies on top of the “earth monster.” Below him are the open jaws of a jaguar, symbolizing Xibalba. Above him is the Celestial Bird, perched atop the Cosmic Tree (represented by a cross) which, in turn, holds a Serpent in its branches. Thus, in the image Pakal lies between two worlds: the heavens and the underworld. She delivered the ring that let the priest control the monkey king. She informed all those involved of their great place in the quest which allowed most of them to reach enlightenment. When a demon was too powerful or tricky even for the monkey king she came to their rescue. Aizen-Myōō upper back outline @leccetattoofest #2019 🇮🇹 ~ Rāgarāja रागराज, also known as Aizen-Myōō, is one of the five Wisdom Kings like Acala (Fudo-Myōō). Rāgarāja is known to transform worldly lust into spiritual awakening 👹 ~ He is portrayed as a red-skinned man with a fearsome appearance, a vertical third eye and flaming wild hair that represents rage, lust and passion. There is usually a lion's head on top of his head in his hair, representing the mouth into which thoughts and wishes may be fed 🦁 ~ The six arms bear a bell which calls one to awareness; a vajra, the diamond that cuts through illusion, an unopened lotus flower representing the power of subjugation, a bow and arrows (sometimes with Rāgarāja shooting the arrow into the heavens), and the last one holding something that we cannot see (referred to by advanced esoteric practitioners as "THAT".) It can represent death, destruction, evil, and/or poison. In the Christian tradition, Satan (in the guise of the serpent) instigated the fall by tricking Eve into breaking God’s command. Thus the serpent can represent temptation, the devil, and deceit.
