The Monster Under The Bed
“Daddy! There is a monster under my bed!”
I whined as I tried to hold my tears and hugged my teddy bear closer. Daddy looked around from the sofa, smiling at me.
“Is it? Let daddy go beat it!”
He stood up and came held my hand. His big hand soothed my heart a bit.
“Don’t be nonsense. There is no monster.” Mummy who was sitting on the sofa groaned. “You are five. You should have grown up from this.”
“But mummy…I heard howling…” Tear started to fill my eyes again.
“It’s okay,” Daddy said as he lifted me up, “Daddy believes you. Let’s go battle with the monster!”
We went upstairs to my room as Mummy rolled her eyes.
Daddy laid me on my bed and kneeled to look under the bed. He punched something under the bed and shouted, “Go away monster!” dramatically. Daddy’s moves were so funny that I couldn’t stop giggling.
“It seems that the monster has gone. You are safe now!” Daddy stood up and said. “What if the monster come back?”
“Then your teddy bear will protect you.” He tucked me and my teddy bear in. “Good night, honey.” He said as he slowly closed the door.
I was then alone in the dark. Mummy never let me use a night lamp. She said I needed to grow up and sleep in the dark. I tried to wave in front of my face, but I could see nothing. The cover on me was heavy and the fur of the teddy bear was so soft. I felt sleepy right away. But then, there were some noise. Someone talking. No. Murmuring. But I couldn’t understand what they were saying. The sound was becoming louder and louder. And it was coming from under the bed. I was so scared, so I pulled the cover over my head. ‘Daddy said teddy would protect me’ I thought as I hugged my teddy bear as tight as I could. At that moment, the sound changed from talking to roaring. My bed was shaking with each roar. My eyes were filled with tears and I couldn’t hold them back this time. I started whipping as quiet as I could under my cover. What felt like hours later, the noise stopped. I wasn’t sure if I should pull down the cover. So I stayed under it for a while more. Feeling so tired after crying, I slowly fell asleep.
In the middle of the night, I was woken by some other noises. It was like something heavy dropped to the floor, repeatedly. Each sound was so loud that I would jump a little bit. It must be a big monster walking around my room! Bom. Bom. Bom. I stayed very still and close my eyes tightly as the monster kept walking and walking. With each step, my heart was forced to skip a beat. Then, it stopped. I slowly opened my eyes and pull down the cover. But I forgot how dark my room was and all I could see was black. The monster could be standing right in front of me now and I would never know. Chills run up my spine immediately. I needed daddy. So I count…one…two...three! And I jumped down from the bed and darted to the door. And I felt it. There was something was right behind me, following me and its hand was reaching out to me. I quickly grabbed the handle and opened the door. Light came in, and I squeezed my eyes. I slowly turned my body and looked at the room. There was nothing.
Then, I heard noises of plastic bags downstairs. I followed the sound and reached the kitchen. Daddy was wiping the kitchen counter.
“Daddy?” He jumped a little and turned around. “Oh, honey. What’s the matter?”
“Is the monster gone?”
Daddy looked a bit shocked, but then he smiled, very delightfully,
“Yes, honey. The monster is gone.”

The Motel
This is my first time writing story~
Please comment and repost if you enjoy it (or give suggestions:D)
Tonight was rather chilly and the sky is crystal clear. No clouds. Not even stars. Just the eerily bright moon. There seems to be a red circle around it. I shake my head. I must be too tired. As I focus on the road again, a shadow of an old mansion emerges not far away. I have not seen anything that big around the area before. I walk past it and see that it is a two-floor mansion. Well, not a huge mansion, but it is definitely larger and fancier than a regular house. The red brick wall and the green roof are kind of creepy for me. There was a sign at the door " Celifur's Hotel". Then, the door of the mansion opens and a man, wearing a black suit and a red tie, appears.
"Hello, miss. Are you looking for a place to stay for the night? We still have rooms."
Somehow, this man is intimidating. His eyes are beaming and his smile was too genuine for a bell host. I had a bad feeling towards him. So I shake my head immediately and walk faster to the motel I usually stay in.
It was a long day. After having a room at the motel, I went straight to shower and to sleep. The pillow seems to be softer than it was and the mattress wraps around my body nicely...
The sweat goes down my forehead. My legs start to scream. I am running. I can't stop. But why? Oh, right. I am being chased. I looked over my shoulder. Something grey and huge is behind me. It is holding something that shines. No, not shining, but reflecting lights. It is metal. It is a dagger. I try to run faster but my legs aren't moving. Come on! It is catching up to me. As I move one more step forward, a sharp pain shear through my back. I look down. The dagger is protruding through my chest. It is hot. So hot...
I gasp. I open my eyes and see the ceiling fan. It was a dream. Of course. Of course it was. I am covering in sweat. I should take a shower and go back home for a rest. These days have been too stressful for me.
When I go into the shower, I realize the shampoo has run out. So I dried my body, put on my clothes and go out to find the receptionist. As I stepped out of the corridor, a shiver runs up my spine. I am standing in a red and green corridor with a rug covering the floor. There are no other doors or windows or anything. It is an empty corridor. And absolutely not the corridor of the motel. I turn around, wanting to get back into my room. But the door is gone too. I swallow hard. This is a dream. It must be. I start running desperately, hoping to find a way out.
Then I hear it. The familiar footsteps, getting louder and louder, closer and closer. I run quickly with all my might. I don't dare to look back. But my eyes dash over my shoulder uncontrollably. It's a man. No, it's not. It's of human shape, but grey in color. And it's massive. It's as tall as a door. My legs are moving as fast as they could. Still, I feel it. The sharp pain in my back. The same hot feeling spreading through my body. I look down. The same blade cutting through my chest. Just like the dream. Just like the dream...
.
.
.
Before the blood can drip to the floor, the woman and the monster vanished. A plop is made as something drops to the rug. It is the dagger. A man wearing a black suit and a red tie approaches and picks it up.
"I hope master finds her tasty."
