Changes to my blog

So I’m sure some of you have noticed I’ve been kinda inactive on this blog and I haven’t been responding to prompts or anything of the sort and that’s because I’m not really a fan of Jack anymore.

Ever since the whole I’m A Celebrity situation I’ve just found it hard to watch his videos, in all honestly I haven’t watched a video and enjoyed it since then. So instead of just leaving this blog to fade away I’m probably going to be changing my name some time soon.

Anyone who has followed me for content of Joe then don’t worry, I’m still very much a fan of him and will continue to post about him. I’m not too sure what direction this blog will go in over the next few weeks (I can confirm there will be a lot of Byron content bc he’s an absolute babe) but I will definitely be writing and opening up prompts for different ships.

Okay so this is the first time I’m saying anything about the whole jack Maynard situation and it’s because I just watched his apology video so now that he’s had the chance to defend himself I want to talk about it.

This is more me just writing to get my opinion on the topic out there instead of me trying to defend jack or go against him I just want people to know what I think. If you wanna read it then go ahead but don’t expect quality grammar or anything bc it’s just me rambling really. If I could put a keep reading thingy in here I would but I’m on my phone so apologies.

Obviously I’m a fan of jack, I enjoy his content and I find him to be a likeable and relatable person. However, with that being said I still feel like this whole thing shouldn’t be swept under the rug.

You could argue that he was young and didn’t know any better but right now I’m young and I still know better than to tweet some of the things he tweeted. He did mention in the video that he really couldn’t excuse what he’d said and I appreciate that he said that as otherwise it would’ve sounded like he was just making excuses (I feel like he was still making excuses a little bit).

One thing he did mention was that he didn’t realise he’d have such an influence over the internet so he shouldn’t be posting things like that, but even people who don’t have any influence on the internet like myself still shouldn’t be posting offensive tweets like that.

Now, the fact that he came out of the jungle to defend himself is quite respectable as he mentioned it was something he really wanted to do and I was actually looking forward to supporting jack on there quite a lot. I also like that he did come out immediately and apologise instead of waiting until he left the jungle by being voted out or whatever and then addressing the problem as that would’ve probably caused a lot more damage.

Even though I am a fan of jack I still feel like I’ve lost a bit of respect for him as even though this was a long time ago and he’s grown since then it’s still not acceptable or excusable in any way and while I’ll still continue to be a fan of him, I don’t want him to just post this 4 minute apology video and then pretend it never happened.

Another thing that’s annoying to me is how many comments I saw on this video from fans saying that they’d support him no matter what. And while this level of support towards jack is lovely to see, even as his fans we have to recognise that what he did was wrong regardless of how long ago it was and then learn and grow from it as a fan base.

This was probably structured awfully but I’m typing it on my phone. If you disagree with anything I said then feel free to drop me an ask and we can discuss it further or something but if I get any hate in my inbox just because I spoke my mind I will flip my shit.

Also, I have heard about the whole bra pics situation or whatever but there is so little info on it right now that I don’t think I can talk about it without getting something wrong and not having both sides of the story so I’ll leave it at this for now.
