Izumi: As expected of the Valentine’s season. It is overflowing with sweets almost everywhere.

Banri: I thought there’d only be chocolates, but there’s quite a lot on display.

Izumi: There’s also ingredients and cooking utensils. Like that over there, what is it used for?

Banri: Ah-, looks like it’s used for decoration or something? You know, for making those doll figures you place on top of cakes and such.

Izumi: I see. If it’s you, you would seem to be quite capable of crafting such things effortlessly.

Banri: Though I’ve never tried making them before, but I most probably could.

Izumi: You’re really dexterous. You also seem pretty popular with girls, so you’re definitely the type to receive a lot of Valentine’s chocolates, no?

Banri: Well, I guess there’d always been quite a number of people giving them to me. But, I don’t really accept them.

Izumi: Really? Why?

Banri: If I’d accepted it, they’d expect to get something back on White’s day, right? Things like that are troublesome.

Izumi: Heh...... For you to think about the return gift, you’re surprisingly a serious person.

Banri: ......Not really. It’d just be a dread if they had their hopes up and be a real pain about it.

Izumi: Itaru-san and Masumi-kun also seem like the type to receive a lot.

Banri: Then, there’s Omi who’d seem to receive quite an amount.

Izumi: He’s like a really dependable elder brother, so he’d be quite popular too.

Banri: Homare-san might be a dark horse too, what do you think? I mean he doesn’t look half bad as long as he doesn’t open his mouth.

Izumi: Well...... He is indeed a writer so he might have some fans...... That’s right, talking about chocolates--

Izumi: Banri-kun, do you like sweet things?

Banri: I don’t hate it. I don’t like it especially either, but I do crave for some once in a while.

Banri: The chocolates that Director-chan makes will most probably be extremely delicious, yeah? I’m really looking forward to it.

Selection: Option 2 How about reverse chocolates from you?

Izumi: Don’t I get to receive some reverse chocolates from you? Just kidding.

Banri: Come to think of it, Kazunari was pretty annoying going on about that. What’s that? Does Director-chan want to receive reverse chocolates from me?

Izumi: It was a joke, just wanted to try saying it.

Banri: Hmm? If you really want it from me that much, I don’t mind considering making some reverse chocolates for you?

Banri: Those chocolates at that corner seems really delicious.

Izumi: Alright, let’s go take a look.

Izumi: Amazing! There’s so many stylish chocolates! I wonder if there is any that even a beginner can make?

Banri: ...... Oh! That seems good.

Izumi: Hm? Ah, they are orangettes. They look really cute too.

Banri: There’s some samples. ...... It tastes good. Director-chan, you should try some too.

Izumi: You’re right, it’s really good! If it’s oranges, I still have some left from a while back when I bought them as a secret ingredient for curry. This might be just right.

Banri: For curry? What the heck.

Izumi: But how do you make an orangette?

Banri: Hold on for a bit, I’ll go look it up. ...... Got it. Looks like this is the one.

Izumi: Uwah, it’s unexpectedly complicated. It would seem somewhat lonely if everybody only received one piece each. Even so, to make this for 20 people is really a lot of work......

Banri: If you put it that way, then it’d be better if you chose something simpler.

Izumi: If that’s the case...... I did think about a lot but I guess, it comes down to cookies.

Banri: Well, it might be pretty standard but it gives off the feeling of a homemade gift plus you can make various arrangements to it. There might be some guys who are bad with sweet things too.

Izumi: That’s true. ...... Alright, then let’s settle with making chocolate cookies that are not too sweet.

Banri: Settled, it is. Right, let’s go grab the ingredients.

Banri: Oh, it’s a recipe book of confectioneries. Is it perhaps for Valentine’s?

Izumi: That’s right. I thought I might as well make some for everyone.

Banri: Might as well? As our Director, you should put in more effort for the chocolates.

Izumi: Is that something the person who will be receiving my chocolates say?

Banri: I mean, you even bought a recipe book for it. Why not?

Izumi: Actually, while watching TV with everyone some time ago...

Yuki: Ah, this chef is appearing on TV again. We see him quite often recently.

Izumi: The food he makes always looks extremely delicious, right.

Kazunari: No no, if it is about cooking, our very own Ultra Chefs won’t lose either! Right? Omimi and Director-chan!

Yuki: Well, it’s true that the meals here are always really delicious and of high quality.

Taichi: I really like Tsuzuru-kun’s “THE☆MEN’S COOKING” style of food too! And without any doubt, Director-sensei’s curry is also one of my favorites!

Kazunari: You bet! Director-chan’s curry is already Pro Level! So much so that we can open Curry House MANKAI any time!

Izumi: For a moment there, I actually thought about doing that seriously.

Omi: Then, that’ll make us troupe members cum staff of a curry house.

Yuki:  Somebody, stop them. Seriously, I don’t know whether I should call you a Curry Alien or a Curry Maniac. If we leave you alone, you’d probably be the type of person to have curry for all your meals for an entire week.

Izumi: ???

Yuki: Hey, don’t look at me like as if you don’t know what’s wrong with it.

Kazunari: Rest assured, Director-chan! I think it’s really lovely how your eyes sparkle and get all serious the moment you talk about curry!

Taichi: Just as I thought, if one can cook, they’d be pretty popular~ Come to think of it, how did Omi-kun learn how to cook?

Omi: My family is made up of guys entirely. So, I kind of just picked it up as I was doing it. Well, I’d look for recipes on the internet and take a look at recipe books as I slowly expand my repertoire bit by bit.

Kazunari: As expected of Omimi~! I totally respect you! MANKAI Company’s Three-star Cheft!

Izumi: The internet or cook books, hmm... (Come to think of it, Valentine’s is just around the corner. Maybe I should buy a recipe book sometimes too.)

Izumi: Thus with that, I went to the book store to search for something that looked simple.

Banri: I see.

Izumi: But, there’s so many to choose from so I’m kind of troubled. As I thought I should make--

Banri: Just don’t make curry, yeah?

Izumi: Eh, how did you know?

Banri: No, it’d be weirder if I couldn’t tell from how that conversation was going.

Izumi: I thought Curry Chocolates would be a genius idea though. You know, people add chocolates into curry as a secret ingredient, right? So, maybe the opposite might work too?

Banri: No no no, that’s kinda pushing it. Moreover, you’re not making use of the recipe book you went out of your way to get.

Izumi: I thought that maybe it’d be surprisingly delicious.

Banri: There’s not gonna be any surprises about that.

Izumi: So, it won’t work out?

Banri: I’m glad I stopped her...... I just saved MANKAI Company’s Valentine’s.

Izumi: Then, what would be good? Ah, it seems nice if I were to add some spices into this milk chocolate.

Banri: There’s nothing on the recipe that told you to add spices! How the heck did you even think about adding spices?

Izumi: I mean, in curry, the taste would change even if I added a little bit of different spices and it would turn out superbly good.

Banri: Stop linking chocolate making to curry.

Izumi: Ah, this recipe seems to go great with spices!

Banri: Listen to me!

Izumi: This chocolate...... Seems like a perfect secret ingredient for curry. I shall try it out next time.

Banri: Okay, let’s forget about curry for a while, Director-chan.

Izumi: This is not going to work. Even if I stare at the recipe book, nothing good really comes to mind. ...... Right, since I’m planning to go shopping tomorrow anyways, it might be better to think about what to make as I am buying the ingredients.

Banri: Ah-, it might be better that way......

Izumi: That’s right, Banri-kun, are you free tomorrow? Since you have good tastes, could you come along and give some advice?

Banri: Eh-...... (To be honest, it’s a pain... But, it’d be terrible if she made curry chocolates......) Alright. Since I got myself into this, can’t really back out now. I’ll accompany you for the shopping tomorrow afternoon.

Izumi: Thanks! I look forward to it!
